Well if you think that way, this is certainly NOT the place for you....these drag queens are feisty, fabulous, and have no problem letting you know just how well they can do it, and honestly, they're better at it than half the woman out there!!! I've been to one drag show before, and that was at the Baton Lounge in Chicago, and had a blast so thought why not check out our local queens for a girls night out. Pros: -Fabulous queens roaming all over, I mean these "ladies" were looking better than some woman do when they throw on their makeup and dresses, you could hardly tell they were men other than the fact the makeup was caked on a bit thick. - Atmosphere is as you would expect, loud, fancy, and lots of hooting and hollering, these ladies were kill in the stage. - Great performances, the ladies were working the stage to some of your favorite songs, Charlie Brown has hilarious and raunchy with her jokes, and the birthday and bachelorette special portion of the show was....well....let's just say "interesting" Cons: - Service is horrible, the performers are also your servers, so they're all over the place, in between being up on the stage, helping all the tables, keeping their outfits and makeup in check, it just led to very POOR and SLOW service. I was not happy about that, especially since you are REQUIRED to buy food, the least they could do was make sure the service was worth it. - I feel like it was all over priced to see the show at the end of the day. I mean I understand having a minimum for each person, but you have to pay cover of $5/$10 depending on the night you go, then you have $15 food minimum which again that would be fine, but it doesn't include drinks/alcohol, so it can end up being a pretty pricey night by the time you're done with it all. Additionally, make sure you have cash, because that will help settle your bills at the end of the night, as they don't do separate checks. I just felt that with their food minimum drinks should be allowed as part of that. - Besides the requirement to get food. I didn't think the food was really all that good, just okay. I ordered two appetizers: the spinach dip and Asian potstickers, the potstickers were pretty good, and the dip was okay. I've been to Lips probably 5 times in the last 6 years and each time I come the performers aren't as good as the time before. Or- maybe it's not new to me so it's not as impressive??? ‍. I will say the food has gotten better. I had shrimp and grits and it was good. My alcoholic drink didn't have much alcohol in it though. What can I say that no one else hasn't...... I guess my review is more of a confirmation of all the bad things said in detail. If you want to know an estimation of about how much you will spend refer to the end of my review. Also according to Ms. Charlie Brown if you are looking for an EXTRAORDINARY Drag Show go to Vegas. So, apparently the money you will be spending here is not enough for them to do an outstanding performance for us here in Georgia and what you may be expecting exceeds their ability to provide. First, I did come here knowing that the food would not be good. I did not expect much, but I did not expect the mac and cheese to be straight out the Kraft macaroni and cheese box. Literally! I am not exaggerating it was mac and cheese straight out the box with velveeta cheese and bacon bits. I had the Regina Ryan, grilled 12 oz. center cut pork cop with the bacon mac and cheese (Kraft). The food also includes a salad and dessert, which was 4 mini cannolis and 4 mini red velvet cupcakes, that look like walmart bakery brand. All of this came to a total of 26.99. The pork chop actually wasn't bad but it was huge, which is not normal.... I did try the fried calamari which is probably the best thing they had on their menu. Before the show began our waitress, Aaliyah who was AMAZING, asked everyone at the table if they had any bills they wanted to get change for to tip the performers. The show begins, everyone in the building is in ooohs and awwss with their phones out. But as the night progressed it seemed as everyone lost interest, not so many phones out, and the acts started to progressively get worse. The best part of the show was how they interacted with the audience and had everyone that was celebrating a birthday, bachelorette party, and graduation come up on the stage. Ms. Charlie Brown was an amazing performer and really engaged with the audience! You really enjoyed this part of the show and you can tell the audience was having a lot of fun! The worst part was that the tipping of the performers seemed very unnecessary and cheap. For the price everyone was paying at the end of the night should suffice.... I felt as if the performers focused more on their performance, than walking around grabbing ones, their performance could have been 10x better. Also the liquor they have is VERY cheap. The bottles I saw at the bar were their own that I guess they reuse and fill up with very cheap liquor. Yes you will get a buzz and yes you will get drunk if you drink a few. But, yes you will also get a hang over from ONE cheap drink! Yes my head is currently hurting from a "KICK THE BITCH TO THE CURB" drink, which was very good (tasted like candy) and gave me a buzz as well as a hang over! Now here comes the worst part..... the BILL! The lights came on, the bills came out, I look around the place and everyone's face changed very quickly! Ok let me break it down the food is $26.99, admission $10, drinks $9, your tip will be calculated on the total of your table's bill by 20%. They will divide up the bill by the number of people at your table. I did not get any drinks or apps so my portion was really only $36.99 (not including tip). But after the bill was divided for up for us per person it came out to about $62/pp..... Ok now times that by 11 people... $682. Yeah $682 for a table of 11 now if you calculate everyone in the room that's booku bucks, so my question is WHY is the food so crappy and cheap? And WHY are the performers walking around scavenging for dollar bills?! Would I come here again? Yes, if they change many things such as their food, more decent performances and without them walking around begging for tips. Also more space, this place is SUPER crowded! But the chances of this happening is slim to none.... so yea I guess I can cross this off my list and take Ms. Charlie Brown's advice and go to a FABULOUS Drag Show in Vegas! read more

The atmosphere is fun and celebratory . The show was okay. The problem is the performance was mostly just walking around collecting tips rather than putting on a show. Some didn't even pretend to be singing but came on stage where they made an entrance and then proceeded immediately to walk around the floor collecting money. Have never been to a drag show before so I have nothing to compare it with. We were there for my daughters 18th birthday. She had a blast so in the end that is all that matters. Food was better than I was expecting, but nothing too special. Garlic cheese bread was liked at our table. Wings were okay. Didn't hear any complaints from anyone about what they ordered. Dancers were lip syncing to various songs, but they put on a great show. Half the song was them on stage, the rest was them working the crowd for tips...but even then, they were still performing, not just a cash grab. The MC was obnoxious and vulgar - loved her! I'd go just for an hour of stand-up! If you're easily offended, may want to stay home. Personally I'd love to see one of the raunchier late-night shows. We paid the $10 extra for the on-stage experience for her birthday. She got a crown, a dessert and made fun of my the MC. They also take a picture and bring it around at the end of the night. The service was great. They all tagged teamed and helped cover each other. Basically you just had to act like you were in first grade, raise your hand and someone took care of you. Our server LaLa was awesome. I was impressed with how smooth everything went. While I had to foot the whole bill, they tell you up front that they can split the bill between 4 credit cards, and of course cash. So if you're there with a larger party, know that. I did not have anything from the bar so can't speak to that. We got there a bit early and while you're waiting for them to seat you, you can wander around and take pictures, or go to the bar, which was packed. The place was decorated for Halloween which was really cool to see. Parking - something I didn't see mentioned anywhere, but you have two options - complimentary valet (for tips) or pay $10 and they put your car by the exit and give you the keys back so you can cut and go, not having to wait for your car in the valet rush. That and the dollars for tips are two things we didn't know and we had limited cash with us. We were at the early show, so there was no issue with parking. People at the next show looked to be queued up out onto Buford Hwy waiting to park. read more

I had the salmon with veggies and rice and found it very satisfying. Signature cocktails were around $10 each. If fruity frozen pink drinks are not your thing, the bar has other options. If you are there for a birthday or bachelorette, let them know. Your guest of honor gets a crown and a moment on stage with the Emcee. Speaking of the Emcee. She is a dirty dirty lady. If you are offended by 4-letter words or the mention of lady parts or man parts, you will be offended. We thought she was hilarious, but it is NOT PG-13 and might not work for everyone. TIP: BRING YOUR DOLLARS! Tips those hard working performers! TIP: READ the info on the website about making reservations, getting your count correct, and securing with a credit card. I was Invited for an outing with my kickball team by our head coach for some bonding time on a lovely Saturday evening. This was my first time going to LIPs and Ive heard so much about it. All I have to say is WOW!! The place is Beautiful!! And to match Big Beautiful Drag Queens that tower over you! They know how to dress honey! Everything on them is Voluptuous! Went in and was seated right in front of the stage where I could see everything! The waitress/waiter (I don't know exactly how to address them ) but you get the picture. Came to our table and collected drink orders and came back to get our food orders.....we had a selected menu of about 7 entrees because we were in a group. Out comes our delicious Caesar salad and following comes our main course that we individually chose. Then the show starts with a Big Beautiful White drag queen named Charlie that was absolutely hilarious!! She tells a few jokes and calls everyone a B*tch( which is a compliment) :/ Now if you're a little uptight this is not the place for you because it gets rude! LOL! Charlie calls for the bachelorettes and bachelor queens up on the stage to congratulate them and give them recognition, next she calls the Birthday girls and boys and does the same thing. Then the show starts!!! Honey let me tell you!! What a sight to see! The hair, the makeup and the dance moves are enough to make me go home and reevaluate my life!! They have the Glam down packed in that place! They perform and walk around the building for tips! I believe there are 3 or 4 shows a day so they Werk honey!! And the drinks are so awesome it makes you tip a little more.... they know what they are doing in that place to get the money! I had a great time even though I expected the show to be a little longer but I guess that's how they get 3 and 4 shows in a day. My only issues is that it gets pretty expensive, I'm not sure if it was because I was with a Large group or if that's just the way it is. 63.00 plus complimentary Valet. What a freakin' blast we had at Lips for my daughter's 27th birthday. When she suggested going, I couldn't say yes fast enough. We went on a Saturday to catch the 6pm show and I was sad when it was over. From the time we entered the door we couldn't stop from smiling. There wasn't one minute where we weren't thoroughly entertained by all of the performers at Lips. Your ticket includes a meal with options of pasta, chicken, etc. I have to say that I really enjoyed the food and so did everyone is in our party. The drinks were great and service was phenomenal. Our server/performer was on point. We never had to look for her and she made sure our birthday girl took part in all the festivities. The place was packed and there wasn't a staunchy tight-faced person to be found. I think the atmosphere allows everyone to have fun and let their hair down. None of that judgmental crap, and if you do come off that way someone is going to call you put. LOL!!! Charlie was FANTASTIC and I couldn't get enough of his performance throughout the night. These folks work hard and deserve all the tips that come their way. I can't wait to take a few friends for a girls night out. So last Thursday my sister, good friend and good friend coworker decided to have a quick girls night out. Lips was the suggested place via yours truly for our link up. This was my second time attending and each of the three first time attending. We had a really fun time. The food was delicious I had wings and artichoke dip and ate it all hunty!!!! My drink was on point. I NEVER order more than one drink but that night I had two and a shot okurrrrrrt (cardi b voice) the jokes was all pun and witty just like I like. I have never been to any other drag queen show so I have nothing to compare it to but in my humble opinion it was pretty entertaining. The wait to enter, even though you have a reservation, is pretty long, took them about 35 minutes to sit us. Once we were seated our waitress took a while to arrive but once she did she was very sweet. The show started out late and a bit slow to me, it felt like the first 3 ladies were just walking around collecting dollar bills but not actually performing but oh buddy! As the night progressed the ladies kept getting better and better. We were celebrating one of the girls and at the beginning we were asked if there was any celebrating going on so she could participate in the show. We wrongly believed it was a gratuity to bring her up but surprise surprise, you get charged for that. It's $10, it won't break my bank but I wish I'd known before hand. Now, it is on the pricy side, about $45 per person but that's for a 3 course meal, $10 entrance and taxes. After that, drinks are about $8.50 each and taxes are added. I recommend you also take bills to give to the performers as they pass buy. Not necessary but still.... Other than that, the place is pretty, the food was amazing and the show was great. I visited Lips during my bachelorette weekend and though I really wanted to love this place, I can 100% say I'll never go back. Yes, the decor is super cute and the performers are dressed beautifully, but that's the only nice thing I really experienced. I love a good drag show, but if you're looking for a fun time with your girls and an actual show I suggest going someplace more authentic and less forced. Towards the end of our 11:30p show the performers had stopped dancing to the songs and were basically walking off the stage and collecting dollar bills to music. Oh and this 11:30pm show, that didn't start until almost 12:30am - yep. My group was bored and tired and sobering quickly while we waited. I could continue with complains, but the list is exhausting. Bottom line, you'll get better food & drinks and a more pleasant staff at drag shows in midtown. Oh and the two stars are for the decor and wardrobe. read more

This place was a blast to visit with my friends for a Birthday party. The comedy of the twisted Broadway show had us laughing all the way home. This is definitely due to the fabulous acts and actors- tresses who worked pin perfect at their comical craft. The service was wonderful. The bar keep was fast and the food and drinks were delicious. Me and a couple girlfriends went here for me and my best friends birthday, and it was absolutely perfect. The show, Wednesday night, was hilarious, and all the ladies were wonderful. The food was decent, but felt a little rushed due to the fact they try to get all of the food out before the show starts which by the time doors open can be between 30min. To an hour. They do a wonderful little birthday thing, but it does cost money so be prepared if you plan to go long with their bday celebration. Overall it was a wonderful experience, and I hope to go again on a different day to see a different show. Tip: Bring LOTS of cash, as bills are only chargeable to one card and also tipping the performers was one of the best parts! Lips Atlanta is the place to come get your life !! Very fun experience with the Queens tonight. They really put on a show that kept you entertained to the very end. The cover charge is $10 and the food is around $28(round it to an even $30) which includes a take home lips cup and Cesar salad. The food portions are plentiful so enjoy! If you indulge in the shots they are a little pricey but you get to take home your shot glass too. To celebrate your birthday it is $10 to go on stage with one of the queens. They let you sit in a throne chair with a piece of cake...say a couple of jokes and then the best part,you get to take a pic with one of them. Oh yeah and you get a crown too! I was a little upset because we sat in the back on a stage. It may be due to us having only 6 people but sitting on the floor at the tables is prime real estate. I say that only because the ladies walk around during their performance..some came up there and when they, did it was quick (lady Gaga performance). I even had a dollar waving in my hand and they didn't even come to our table. The host is so funny!! I apologize because I forgot her name but she kept us laughing and she came with plenty of jokes. Came here for a bachelorette party on a Saturday night! Parking - We ubered here.. I did hear parking might be a little crazy. We had a reservation - I encourage this. We had like 7 people. Place was slammed! It was poppin' and the atmosphere was awesome. I think they had a sold out night. If it's your birthday/bachelorette, you'll be able to get on stage. The birthday folks will each get a piece of cake and a picture with the hostess. The Bachelorettes will all get on stage, get a shot on the house, and a picture with the hostess as well. Very cool. At the end of the night, they'll get a card with the photo and a cute note. I'm not an expert on drag shows ... but the show was cool! The entire set was great - the lip syncing, costumes, attitudes were very fun and went well together. Not to mention, they were all funny! As they walk around the tables, people will hand over dollar bills. Service was spot on. Water/drinks/food came out quickly. Wouldn't mind coming back one day for my own bachelorette party! read more
