Oh yes! I almost don't want to write a review for this place because I don't want to to draw anymore attention to it. We already have to go at off hours just to have less than an hour long wait. The benefit is they make excellent cocktails at the bar when that happens. I've been here a few times and enjoyed everything I've had. The half pound basket of fried shrimp is a staple, along with their assorted tacos, which I'm always impressed with. The burger and fries, and the bao are all excellent as is the beer selection. This one has been on my "go-to" list for a while. So glad I went. My boyfriend and I arrived around 7:30 on a Friday night with no reservations. We had to wait an hour, but it was a nice evening and there were benches outside. The restaurant itself is really small so there's nowhere to stand and wait. We were seated with another couple- some tables are community-style. The drink menu is huge so anyone can find something they'll like. We were starving so we went straight to the entree. I ordered the Bad Burger, my boyfriend with the bigger appetite ordered the Wolf Burger. Both were AMAZING. They're served with fries- very crunchy, small ones. This review is for the service, not for their food or drinks as I am a big fan of their salads, baos, and impressive selection of drinks. It's a shame as I've always raved to friends about how great this place is. About 2 weekends ago and it happened to be lolla weekend, me and my boyfriend went in midnight starving wanting to have a nice meal with decent drinks. Our waitress came to us and asked us how we are doing, my boyfriend responded and asked her how her night has been and was making small talks. We told her we had some drinks at home before coming here. Then, as we were about to order our drinks and food, she refused to serve us alcohol. At this point, everything was kept lowkey and friendly and by no means we were acting like 2 drunkies who were falling all over the place. We were surprised and told her to give us some time. She walked back to other waitresses and the hostess, whispered something, then we noticed all of them started eyeing on us. It was super uncomfortable and unpleasant, so we decided to walk out and leave. I wanted to talk about this experience as it affected how I felt about my favorite local spot in the neighborhood. It would be another story if we were acting stupid and drunk and screaming, it was nothing like that; based on our friendly small talk conversation and the fact that we had some drinks before we got here, it became a problem for her and all of a sudden we were being looked upon and judged. We have had our eyes on this spot for a while now! We had to go try the burger. We arrived fairly late, about 8:30. It was fairly packed, and had to wait about 20 minutes. The atmosphere is great. After sitting, we ordered three burgers, side of Brussels sprouts, and Mac and cheese. THE MAC AND CHEESE WAS DELISH. The burgers we fantastic as well. The draft menu is huge, with a wide variety of both local craft brews and brews from around the country. I had the Cider Brothers Blueberry Zinfandel Cider, which I have never seen offered in Chicago before (it is a small company from California). Late post: Came here with friends before the stay-in order for dinner before going to a Magic show. I've been here a few times and love it that it's in my neighborhood. Ambiance is nice and there's street parking. We ordered the mussels, guac/salsa and chips, Mac & cheese, aloha poke, and burgers. Everything was good, minus the poke. Their chips were hot and crispy which I love and their burgers were juicy and way better than Au Cheval's burger. The only thing about the burger is it gets so juicy it soaks up the bun making it soggy quick and it can get messy. I also wish they have single patty instead of double and triple since I don't eat a lot. I had their tacos and baos before and they're not my favorite. Service here is okay although I do wish they don't keep coming around our table trying to take our plate cause we feel rushed like we have to eat fast and go. So this was a random spot to try out, but have been seeing all the pictures on Instagram! So decided to give it a go on a Thursday night. Holy hell. The wait was 45 minutes from the beginning and ended up to be an hour and a half. To warn you this place is tiny!!! But can you tell that it didn't bother me, as I am giving it a 5 star!!! The owner was taking down names for the wait, but he was in no particular spot, he kept walking around and such, so it was hard to even know what was going on. Like I said, it's small and it was super crammed at the times went. An array of beer--they had a great IPA--forgot the name, but they only had one IPA on draft so it was easy to chose for me. The music was amazing let me tell you, this was one of the main reasons I did not care to wait--plus my girlfriends company was also another reason..but anyways, I finally asked the waitress if it was a playlist they had and she said it was Pandoras 2000 hip hop station. Since last Thursday this had been my go to workout station--FYI, so thank you for the recommendation Little bad wolf!!! Food was great!! The chips, gauc, and salsa you can tell were made a few minutes before it came out and I got the salad. Obsessed!! I ate so much of it and had to take more than half of it home (salad for lunch at work the next day!!) You will not be disappointed! read more

I don't know what the food is like. I had been wanting to try them forever so I was starving and in the neighborhood (not far from my home) and stopped by. Used the restroom first. It's a small place. It was packed. Super loud. But not a single person that worked there asked if I was there to eat, etc. And yes..all the tables were full and most of the bar, but it would have been nice to be acknowledged. I mean, I had to wander through the limited tables to get to the restroom and then back to by the bar. An example of treating people properly... A well known, jam packed all the time, pizza place is always busy but they at least acknowledge people walking through their front door and tell them times. This pizza place isn't a chain. They just care about their potential customers. And there's no way the staff could miss me coming in. It's freezing and windy as hell and they have curtains to block the wind from the door and they were blasted wide open and towards the room as I came in. You'd have to look when someone comes in so they chose to ignore me. I doubt I'll be back to give them another chance cause there are plenty of other great restaurants in this city for me to go and enjoy. I guess I'm not cool or trendy enough to rate noticing there. (There are other hipster places that don't discriminate and ignore people that don't look like their regular clientele and treat people great. No snootiness.) Gluttonous. We had the chips, salsa, and guac and the mini burgers. The food is so good. The difference between four and five stars for me: the grease needed taming. The burgers just needed to rest before putting them on the bun, and the chips were glistening. I wanted to eat it because it was good. I didn't want to eat it because it was obvious I shouldn't. I went here with two friends last night for the first time and I was blown away! We got there around 6:15 (on a Friday) and there was a 45 minute wait. Not too bad since the bar was open and stocked with an amazing cocktail menu. I recommend the Little Bad Mule! We ate at the communal table which was nice and friendly. The service was great, the waiter came around frequently but wasn't pushy even though they were super busy. He explained the menu well and gave great recommendations. We got the Lumpia to start, which was very impressive! And we did a family style. We each got a bao, and split the little burgers and the mac and cheese. We probably could've done without one of the three things and still felt full at the end. All the food was amazing! My fave would have to be the Mac and cheese. Super creamy and the breadcrumbs just put it over the top! Two notes would be, the communal table is right by the door. Last night was pretty chilly and I ended up keeping my coat on. They also don't have hooks under the table or on the wall nearby so I had to keep my purse and scarf in my lap. Can't wait to come back again! read more

Last Tuesday, my husband and I stopped in for lunch. My goal was to eat healthy so we got salads, but then I saw Mac & Cheese and Elotes on the menu and I had to have them. He got a Cesar salad with chicken, I got the grilled romaine with steak. His salad was HUGE. He ate it there, and then we finished it at dinner. Both delicious. The sides were beyond delicious and worth the calories. ZERO regrets and dreams of eating them again. I love this place because they are open late. Kitchen closes 30 mins before the closing time. They have rotating craft beers, and nice beer program.
