Greek salad no olives w/ creamy garlic dressing and cucumber
    Taylor A.

I had just come to the beach and only had a Danish and coffee for breakfast so I needed something, on a wim ran In and ordered this wonderful salad. they don't substitute, although I will say everything is super fresh and made to order. All the patriots were regulars, you could tell. Restaurant was quiet & super clean. if possible I'd love to grab breakfast there in the morning b4 we head for the airport. Definitely a hidden gem.

I thought this restaurant was pretty good! No GF bread, so you know that's an automatic loss of a star... Anyway, I like the ambiance. It looks like it hasn't been updated since maybe the 70's and it's awesome! There's a huge counter to sit at, as well as a few booths on the outer perimeter. It's small, and I bet it gets pretty busy, so maybe try to go on an off time? The server was incredibly nice and sweet, and attentive. We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance, and I'm glad we did. I will definitely be back! I added pics of the entire menu. You're welcome!

This is a good neighborhood breakfast spot. I have been coming here on and off since the pre-Yelp days. The service is excellent and the food is good. You seat yourself (I've never had to wait for a table) and the staff is always friendly. On this most recent visit, I sat at the counter and the server gave me a menu immediately and asked what if I wanted coffee. The good service continued throughout my meal. I ordered a Greek omelette, which arrived quickly and tasted good. One interesting thing is, if you say no toast, the server offers you tomato slices. These aren't the beat tomato slices, but I ate them with the omelette. I sat at the counter, ate my Greek omelette and read the news, an all around good experience.

This is the perfect place if you just want a local breakfast diner experience! I don't think the decor has been updates since the 1980s and that's perfectly okay! The food is wonderful if you're looking for simple comfort food. There's no avocado toast or vegan breakfast chilaquiles here, it's just simple breakfast and diner staples but it really hits the spot if you're in the mood.

She did an awesome job being the only person working the dining room at the time. Look at this menu selection. There are so many items but you know how it is when you find something that is for me near perfection you know anything else you order will not live up to what you had. They offer a student and teacher discount during the week, but even without it, the prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food. The owner-chef, who previously worked for Eatly, also serves a variety of pasta dishes and gelato. They have a rotating soup menu and seasonal specials. During November, you don't want to miss the thanksgiving sandwich. I'm looking forward to finally trying the gelato this summer.

I'm very disappointed with my experience with JB's Deli today…read more I ordered two Reuben sandwiches and a Cobb salad, with a total bill of approximately $65. The Reubens were OK, although I found them to be fairly dry. More concerning, however, was what happened with the salad. The Cobb salad came with two packets of blue cheese dressing. When I opened one and put it on the salad, I noticed that the color looked unusual. I checked the packet and discovered that the Best By date was November 23, 2025, nine months past the date. Obviously, I did not feel comfortable eating the salad and had to throw it away. It also left me questioning whether the other food I received was handled appropriately. I am now concerned about whether the Thousand Island dressing served on the Reubens was also expired. I attempted to contact the deli to give them an opportunity to address the issue. The first time I called, someone answered but there was dead air and then they hung up. I called again and explained the situation to a woman who answered. She apologized and asked me to hold a moment. I waited on hold for 10 minutes before giving up. When I called back again, no one answered. Mistakes can happen, but serving a customer two dressing packets that are nine months past their Best By date is a serious food-safety and quality-control issue. What has made the experience even more frustrating is that, after spending $65, I have been unable to get a meaningful response from the restaurant. For this reason, I will be disputing my credit card charge and will not be returning to JB's Deli. I hope management takes this seriously, reviews the dates on their prepared foods and condiments, and addresses how customer food-safety concerns are handled.

I decided to come to Beard & Belly since I had it bookmarked and it was close to where I was. We were able to get seated right away and received outstanding service. My wife ordered their Chicken & Waffles which I don't see on the menu anymore. This dish was really delicious. The chicken was seasoned and fried perfectly. It came with hot honey so it added a little bit of heat and sweetness. I ordered their Red Eye Pastrami. It came with pastrami, a fried egg, cheddar cheese, Dijon and greens. All in a ciabatta bread. I will admit though, "coffee & hot sauce" were in parentheses. I didn't taste neither in this sandwich. Did I not understand the assignment? Was I supposed to order coffee and then put hot sauce in this sandwich. Regardless, the sandwich definitely hit the spot. Don't think I've ever had a sandwich with pastrami and eggs before. I've been missing out. The ciabatta bread was also very soft. Such a perfect bread for this sandwich. It also came with hash browns. They had a tasty seasoning on them. Salty, but tasty. They offered garlic aioli or ketchup with these. Ketchup is probably the way to go. Really difficult to earn with the aioli, the hash browns fall apart if you try to dip them in the aioli. I can't wait to come back.

We started with beer from an extensive list (updated daily, per our server). I had a Kwak red ale served in a creative glass with its own little supporting stand. Hubs got an IPA and I can't remember which one. Daughter ordered a ginger ale. All tasty! We started with the poutine fries. Very good!! We cleared the plate. Then I had a smash burger - it was good, but I forgot I am not a fan of American cheese which made the burger...I don't know, creamy? The burger itself was good. Hubs and daughter sampled it and loved it. Hubs had the brisket Reuben and loved it. Daughter had the sausage platter and loved the sausages -- 2 kinds -- and potatoes. No room for dessert. The building itself is a multi-room plus patio affair, all in brick with hardwood floors and warm lighting. When you first walk in, you have to show your ID since this is an adults-only bar establishment. (1) You can then choose to sit in the front bar area, if you want a full menu, but use the bar for ordering service. (2) If you keep walking through the front bar area, you reach the host stand at the top of the ramp. This is where you can put your name in to sit in the main dining room, upstairs, or outside. (3) However, you can also walk through to the left of the host stand to another bar area that has full menus, but bar service for ordering. This is our preferred spot because we can often find a seat and order with the bar. Do note that, during busy times, part of this bar area is managed by the host stand and will be labeled as such. The extensive beer menu is our favorite. We have our favorite food items, so all our decision making revolves around which beer we will get. They always have a bit of everything style-wise, from all over the world, but with a local-brewery focus. Seasonal emphasis is also taken into consideration when they curate the beer list. It is always rotating and we love it! Beers are served in the recommended glasses from the breweries. It's a great drinking experience from start to finish! Our food orders are eternally set: I get the Nueske Ham sandwich with fries and aioli. My husband gets the Reuben sandwich with fries and aioli. This meal is so perfect we'll probably never get anything different, despite the menu being delicious across the board. The wildest we get is sometimes splitting the two sandwiches. No reason to mess with a good thing! Other notable great things about Hopleaf: (1) Kind, knowledgeable, and professional staff. (2) Reasonable prices for high quality and great variety products. (3) Clean Belgian Bar decor/vibe with lots of space for folks to enjoy their time. (4) They are open late and serve food late. Thank you for being an amazing local spot, Hopleaf! We'll see you soon!
