A group of friends and I went to the Little Corner Restaurant this morning for breakfast after a late night. This is a pretty solid diner with all of the expected menu items: omelettes to grilled cheese to milkshakes. I had a cheddar & bacon breakfast skillet with a short stack of pancakes, a meal that hit the spot after some moderate drinking the night before. My only complaint was that the bacon in my skillet was undercooked but other than that it was delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals (some people even ordering two), and the only other complaint was that the biscuits in the biscuits and gravy were dry. Overall, if you're looking for diner food, this is a good place to go. However, the restaurant is cash only so remember to bring some money with you. read more

Definately love this place for the convience of it. Although the food is just alright. Not amazing but priced extremely well. It is small here but bright and inviting. I have never liked the service; the waitresses seem very bland and robotic and almost dont known what theyre doing or don't know the menu well if you ask questions or suggestions. The restaurant is also pretty filthy and it doesnt seem like they clean very often by just the dust build up eveywhere and the floor. I will continue to return because I still like the free coffee refills and how affordable the food is. ( I usually get the breakfast! Its the best imho ) read more

I've been in Edgewater off on on for the past 6 years and have always enjoyed the Little Corner Restaurant. While it may not have the most amazing food it's a great little diner, I see the same people every time I come in and they're always friendly. While I usually get breakfast they have tasty burgers and fries and a nice diner menu. Sometimes you just want straight forward diner food, and this place is it. I just wish they were open past 4! read more

I was very satisfied with Little Corner Restaurant. It isn't anything fancy - just a casual little diner - but the food was delicious, cheap and fast, and I loved the vibe of the place. I saw regulars greeting each other when they came in the door, and waitresses greeting customers by name as they sat down. It made me want to become one of those regular customers. They have regular diner food - burgers, pancakes, biscuits, and so on. I had the vegetarian skillet and coffee - a perfect meal for a lazy Saturday morning. I don't live in the neighborhood, but when I'm in the area and looking for a diner-type meal I'll definitely stop by again. read more

I'll tell you what Little Corner is good for: DINING ALONE. Honestly, if you come here on a weekday morning, you'll see about 10 people scattered about and 8 of them are rolling solo. And people are cool with it. Read the paper. Read a book. Do the crossword. Stare into space. Enjoy the solitude. This is 100% a divy diner. The menu is really small. It's dumpy and dingy and some of the seats are uncomfortable. The same gal servers almost every morning and she's really nice. I love, love, love it here. I haven't had anything except breakfast, so my understanding of the lunch/dinner menu is nil, however, I've been really happy with the 2 eggs, bacon, hashbrowns (shredded - super crisp on the outside and SO soft in the middle) and the option to get toast OR pancakes. By god, get the pancakes. They're really simple diner pancakes, but they're awesome. Service is excactly what it should be: They keep your coffee cup full and they don't bug you. Have been going for a dozen years or so Brought the kids as they were growing up - as I showed them diner after diner (before so many closed like the Uptown on Broadway near Lawrence and Augie's on Clark near Bryn Mawr) I love the omelets - cheese - simple, tasty, and a couple of bucks cheaper then name brand locations. Note - I choose the grits and not the hash browns my sons get. Frankly, I do not know if the grits are fair? good? or great ? - but to this Northerner their warm grits are a perfect "excuse" for some more butter and salt with my excellent simple cheese omelet (American cheese that is). Pretty darn good! Only 4 stars because it's not as good as the diners back home....However, my favorite here is the spinach and feta omelette. The food is very tasty. The prices are very affordable. The service is horrid. Don't even think of lingering over a cup of coffee after you finish your meal. This past Sunday I was there with a friend. When I went to pay at the register one of the two main waitresses said: " How do you politely ask people to vacate their table when there are people waiting?". My answer was: "You don't. People come here to enjoy themselves. If they can't they'll go somewhere else. People waiting have choices. They can wait, come back later or go somewhere else. Better yet, maybe they'll come earlier on a Sunday morning than at 10:45am." This treatment after I've been going there at least four times a week for a year and I tip at least 25% and I have turned many people unto this place. The Little Corner Restaurant does not reinvent the wheel as far as small diners go, but it definitely gets the job done. I ordered the gyro and feta cheese omelet with a side of hash browns, and my girlfriend ordered two eggs and some pancakes. My omelet was absolutely incredible, I have never had gyros on an omelet prior to eating here and it rocked my world. I tried some of my girlfriends pancakes and thoroughly enjoyed them too. And to top off the entire dining experience the staff was very friendly. I ended up leaving my glasses there, started walking back, and noticed one of the employees running across the street just to give them back! Due to their solid food and sheer kindness, the Little Corner Restaurant has made me a loyal customer. read more

I would've given it 5 stars but I ordered breakfast to go and when I arrived it was even close to ready. I was a bit irked. But the entire staff and patrons were all very nice. When I finally got my biscuits and gravy and eggs over easy, I took it home and really enjoyed it. There was plenty of tasty gravy and the biscuits were perfect. Don't come here expecting to get a crepe expertly cooked with powdered sugar, chocolate, and raspberries sprinkled all over. This place is great for diner coffee and diner food. And while the place is a little quirky on the inside, the food was sizeable and yummy! The booth we sat in was teeny, and I think the seats had been pushed closer to the table than normal. This place is super convenient, so I keep coming here, but every time I do, I have regrets. The servers are always disorganized and confused for some reason. The food is not very good, and I have had incidents where I found a bug or mold in my food. Again, don't ask why I keep coming here. I frequent this place way too much because it's my favorite cheap neighborhood breakfast dive! I love the staff here. The kitchen is super fast. There is always hilarious outdated decor.
