I guess the thought of dumplings always puts a song in my heart! I like Little Dumpling...a lot! All the food I tried was good, I like the location with the convenience of not having to head into downtown Flushing. They have parking in front and below, or you could also find a spot on the street. The place was nicely decorated, clean with attentive service. I tried the Pork and Crab Soup Dumplings which were overall very good with a lot of flavor - one issue I had that 1 or 2 of the dumplings stuck to the parchment paper slightly puncturing the bottom causing leakage - no one enjoys dumpling leakage. :( Wonton soup is a large sharable portion, with small, delicate wontons - broth is very delicate as well to the point of being nearly flavorless. I enjoyed the wontons in chili oil - could use more heat, but like the balance with peanut sauce. The Shanghai style gluten is done well here - I enjoy the contrast of textures, cool temp and flavors with the warm dumplings. We were mixed on the Crispy salted chicken - a couple of pieces had a bit of stringy texture, but I overall enjoyed them. Prices may be higher here than elsewhere (LI convenience factor I suppose). Not sure why this place gets all the high reviews; maybe the other locations they have are better. The soup dumplings were just OK compared to the well known ones in Flushing/forest hills. The dishes are disappointing; we ordered the shanghai mixed veggie dish ,meat ball along with hot and spicy beef. The other reviewer that said oily and bland was spot on, wish we had seen that review before deciding to try this spot. if you like oily bland food this spot would be ideal. One of my family's favorite restaurants for soup dumplings. We've been here multiple times throughout the years and they never seem to disappoint. Only two minor negatives - the food can sometimes be on the greasier side and they only take cash. First time ordering from here despite living close by. I haven't had really good sesame shrimp in a long time and decided to order their sesame jumbo shrimp. I'm so glad I did! They arrived hot and drenched in a delicious sauce which is perfect. I ordered it with a side of the small white rice which realistically is a portion for 2 or 3 people not necessarily a bad thing but something to keep in mind when ordering! great for dates and sharing with friends and such. Cute little dumpling spot located in Little Neck. This is a CASH Only establishment. We wanted to try something new without dealing with Flushings traffic and parking headaches. We really wanted soup dumplings and some noodles. We ordered : Iced green teas and bubble teas for drinks x4 Soup dumplings x2 Spicy wontons in hot chili oil Scallion pancake Crispy salted chicken Eggplant in garlic sauce Braised pork with rice Shanghai udon The udon noodles were nothing like the picture, and could use a little more flavor. The eggplant in garlic sauce was just alright, but they never gave us the white rice with it. Even though they came to confirm if we wanted white or brown rice. Soup dumpling's filling were on the sweet side. Not the best we ever had, but it was decent. The spicy wonton was much better and the sauce was really good. It's like peanut sauce and hot chili oil mixture that really worked well with the wonton. We even used it to give the udon more flavor. Crispy chicken is nothing like the popcorn chicken found in Flushing, but it was big pieces of chicken. We could do without the braised pork in rice next time, 66 does it better imo. And the scallion pancake was unimpressive, served with soy sauce concoction instead of dumpling sauce. We really liked the decor and the service here. Wouldn't mind coming here again. So our last visit here wasn't a great experience. My husband has peanut allergies and ate the wontons in chili sauce not knowing it was made with peanut butter. Luckily, he didn't have an anaphylactic reaction, but it did leave a bad taste (no pun intended) in our mouth. We were in the neighborhood and were craving some comfort food. So we decided to give it another try. Luckily, there was no wait and we were seated right away. One of the first things we noticed was that the wontons in chili sauce now state that there's peanut butter in it. Thank goodness! We weren't going to order it again, but it's good to know that they're letting their customers know up front just in case of allergies. We ended up ordering a ton of food. We, of course, had to get the XLB. We also got the pan fried XLB, pan fried dumplings, beef scallion pancakes, shanghai wonton noodle soup, spicy beef noodle soup, chicken fried rice and sweet and sour pork ribs. As usual, the XLB was yummy. The skin isn't too thick but isn't too thin that it breaks as soon as you touch it. The pork is good, but we like the pork/crab mix better. The pan fried dumpling were good as well. They were crispy and not too greasy. I'm not a fan of beef scallion pancakes. I'm more of a purist and like the regular version, but theirs is tasty. It isn't drowning in sauce. The pan fried XLB, shanghai wonton noodle soup and pork ribs were disappointing. The pan fried XLB and the soup were super bland. They literally had no taste. The pork ribs were cut so tiny that there was barely any meat on them. The flavor of the sauce was good but it's not worth getting. I didn't get to try the spicy beef soup or fried rice but my family enjoyed it. Overall, I would return for the XLB and other items like the shanghai udon noodles. Went here today with my girlfriend, servers are very fast and attentive, some people might not like that . Because they are always checking on you but we liked it . We got the soup dumplings which had ton of flavor and my Shanghai seafood udon noodles had a bunch of flavor , the one downside I will say is the quality of the seafood didn't feel like it was the highest . I typically don't venture out to Little Neck often but whenever I go visit my brother-in-law in the evening, I always make my way out to Little Dumpling. Though this place isn't the best soup dumpling restaurant in Queens, I think it is the best in the Little Neck area. The restaurant itself is a decent size, and fits roughly 60 people. Even on a a busy Sunday night, you will not need to wait anymore than 15 minutes for a table. The service here is also very quick. Maybe that is why the wait times aren't that long. Once seated, they give you around 3-4 minutes to look over the menu and then they are back to take your order. If you already know what you want, then this is great. However, if you don't know what to order or new to the restaurant, you might find this a little rushed. I normally get 2 orders of the pork soup dumplings, garlic cucumber side dish, scallion pancakes, and 1-2 noodle dishes depending on how hungry my party is. The food is good and never had any complaints. Overall, the place is a great alternative to going to Flushing for soup dumplings. Delivery review Even for large orders, always prepared on point and quickly. Soup dumplings are pretty good for delivery - it's never going to be as good as dine in. Deep fried diced chicken is a must for anyone who doesn't mind a bit of heat. It's a nice dish of small chunks of fried chicken and a salty and spicy seasoning. Chicken dumplings are not my favorite. Fried pork dumplings are okay, not mind blowing g. General Tso chicken is as expected. Usually not the greatest for delivery since the sauce takes away the crunch of the chicken. Chicken and broccoli - well executed, again, nothing special. Deep fried pork chop with salt and pepper is pretty good, great seasoning, maintains a decent crunch even with delivery. Sesame beef has a nice sweet and savory sauce with thinly sliced pieces of beef. Probably second favorite next to the diced chili chicken. Beef chow fun is good, not the best I've had, pretty greasy Grandma style braised pork is excellent, nice large chunks of pork with fat; probably 50:50 fat to meat ratio, which I don't mind. The soy based sauce is excellent. Also ordered some Lo mein and fried rice. Altogether, came out to $178 before tax and tip, to feed 11 people; but it could have fed closer to 18-20. read more

The restaurant is too small for the close proximity of the tables. Today we got the Spicy Beef Noodle Soup: lack flavor and too much noodles and not enough veggies. If you're looking for soup dumplings and your basic Asian dishes, without having to sit in traffic and make your way to Flushing or Chinatown, this is the place for you. Parking is extremely limited, but you can always get street parking right in front, you'll just have to feed the meter. But they're so quick that you won't need more than an hour. I'm always here for lunch and they know how to bring the food out quick, but they will not rush you. For the overall experience, food and service, a solid four. One day, the fried Shanghai noodle could be tasty with decent amount of meat in it, but the next day, it could be a plate in which it is 90% just noodles. The skin would often explode, so eat them very quickly or pace yourself if you order more than just one set. Worth it. Salted crispy chicken was tasty, tender, but the amount they give you was like 7 chicken nuggets. Not worth it. Xiao la jiao potatoes were well done. 7/10. Good balance with the sliced peppers. Was craving Shanghainese food for dinner but didn't want to drive all the way to Flushing due to all the rush hour traffic on a Friday night so my husband and I settled for this place in Little Neck. Parking can be a pain because of the location is right on Northern Boulevard but there is a small lot in the front and back. Service was good with our server always being attentive to our needs and they spoke both Chinese and English. We ordered the Shanghai wontons in chili oil (and peanut sauce), Shanghai style udon, crabmeat & pork and pork soup dumplings. All the food tasted good with nice flavor but nothing too extraordinary out of this world. Flushing is definitely better (Shanghai Cuisine 33 and Shanghai You Garden). Pricing was fairly cheap at $40 dollars plus tips but the only negative thing is that this place only takes cash. In the world today, most people don't carry cash on them so it was a little annoying that they only take cash. I must say it is nice inside and roomy, we had the pork with crab dumpling , the taiwanese thin noodles, alone with a spicy vegetable and their version of fly head i think it is number 122. the dumplings were tasty and much better than what we had in San Diego. the noodle dish was light and even though there was a lot of it you were not made to feel full. flys head was also good with the spicy vegetable added The staff was on point and i give them 100 for this. We shared a few different appetizers including their signature pork soup dumplings, cold noodles in a peanut sesame sauce, scallion beef pancakes, and wontons in a hot chili oil and peanut sauce.
