I am long overdue in writing this review, but after 7 moves in the last 5 years, I can confidently say that Little Guy Big Truck Moving is the best in the business. Because of my job, I've had to move between Southern and Northern California (and vice versa) and within SoCal for both long-distance and short local relocations. Every single time, I have relied on them heavily to pack my entire household one day and move me the next. The logistics are always seamless thanks to Jennifer, who handles the scheduling and details perfectly. On the ground, Aurelio and his team are incredible--they are extremely reliable, friendly, and always arrive right on time. What really sets them apart is their expertise with fragile items. I've watched them work, and they are masters at "moving Tetris." They wrap every piece of furniture securely in padded blankets and shrink wrap to prevent any scratches or dings. For my most delicate items--like kitchenware, electronics, and artwork--they use a meticulous multi-layer approach with high-quality packing paper and bubble wrap. They are strategic about loading the truck, ensuring heavy items are at the base and my fragile boxes are safely secured on top or in "buffer zones" so nothing shifts or gets crushed during the long drive between NorCal and SoCal.Plus, they stay organized by labeling every box with the correct room and using 'Fragile' or 'Handle with Care' stickers wherever needed. They are such hardworking, sweet people who never ask for much, though I'd highly recommend having some cold water on hand for them during those hot summer move days. July 2025: I used Little Guy Big Truck for the first time this weekend and it was a great experience. I first reached out to them on Yelp and then began communicating with them over text message. They responded promptly to my messages. I reached out to at least 5 other moving companies and Little Guy's rate made the most sense, they didn't charge additional fees like an administrative fee or random fees that other companies do. They charged me 120/hr cash or 130/cc. Two movers arrived to my home right on time, it was great. In the past, other moving companies have arrived late. The two men (Mr. L and Mr. E) who assisted me with my move were friendly and professional. They did a wonderful job wrapping my furniture and making sure all my items were secure. I thought their pace was fair and efficient. Mr. L and Mr. E worked hard and it was truly appreciated. Jan 2026: I hired this moving company again and they did a great job. I had a problem with my storage unit key which made us run late but both Jennifer (admin) and Mr. A were so understanding. I felt terrible that I messed up with not having my storage key but the team was so kind. The move was quick and efficient. Both movers were friendly. One of the movers did look very young though. On a side note, their prices did increase by $10, I believe. I would 100% recommend this moving company and will be using their services in the future. read more

Everything went amazingly smooth! Team showed up on time, I showed them all that had to go and they got started. At one point they thought we were gonna have to make two trips, my heart skipped the beat thinking I was gonna have to add two possibly three more hours to the day, but they made it work! I was so impressed with their approach. They were gentle with everything. The furniture was wrapped like it was being shipped to China. Loading, of course takes more time than unloading, but they worked with me in terms of what box goes where, they were perfect. I tend to move a lot. The past few times, I have used the same company. It has gotten more and more expensive to the point of being obnoxious. I decided to use a different company, and I'm so glad I did! The movers from Little Guy were on time, efficient and went above and beyond. They noticed my dining table was wobbly (I assembled it) and they took it a part and put it together properly. Also, they assembled a 2nd bed frame my son has disassembled. They moved some exercise equipment upstairs which I thought was very difficult but they got it done with ease. Scheduling with Jennifer was easy and she answered all of my questions prior to pulling the trigger. Their pricing is upfront, fair and the quote was accurate based on the hours put in for our move. The guys all work quickly and efficiently. Instead of rushing and grabbing whatever they saw first, they were strategic about how to pack the truck and discussed difficult items. They wrapped all of our furniture really well and we had no issues, even with heavy and large items with awkward or narrow pathways. They were courteous of our rugs, stepping around them and there were no dings on the wall or anything like that. Fantastic family run moving company that is wonderful to work with, flexible, reliable, and about half the price of other movers - and no surprise or extra fees. I've made many moves, but this was the smoothest and easiest. They were great!! Were punctual for both loading and unloading! I did a Friday load and Saturday unloading. They took care in wrapping my "stuff", some of which were fragile antiques. We hired them for two days (one to help pack and one to move), and it was a huge job: a four-bedroom house packed with decades of belongings. This was my first time using movers and I was SO impressed. We were moving from a 3 story townhome and had quite a bit of stuff. The stairs in our unit are steep and there are a lot of them but they moved everything with ease. The truck showed up early and all 4 guys HUSTLED. They got right to work and worked so efficiently. Moving is never fun, but this was by far the best moving experience I've ever had. We had absolutely no issues. I don't think any of the 4 guys we had took any breaks. Had my best moving experience so far with LGBT. They called to confirm the day prior and arrived :15 early onsite the morning of the move. Lorenzo and his partner hustled - I have 3 flights of stairs but they got it done with time to spare within the 3 hour window! Service Used: Long-distance move (2-day) from Poway, CA to San Jose, CA. TLDR: 100% satisfied across the board -- highly recommended with no reservations! The moving service was extremely efficient but not at the expense of care and attention to detail. The cost was the cheapest compared against quotes from 8+ other Yelp 5-star SD moving companies. The communication was concise and prompt. Details: I used Little Guy Big Truck Moving and Storage for a long-distance (2-day) move from Poway, CA to San Jose, CA the weekend before Thanksgiving. My initial communication was with Jennifer, who was very clear in communicating the process and pricing regarding our move. Aurelio came out to our property about two weeks ahead of our move to assess our needs and generate an accurate estimate. On the first day of the move, a 4-man loading crew (Aurelio, Jose, Josue, and Saul) showed up at 7am and loaded up the belongings of our 3 bedroom, 2-story townhouse into a single 26-foot truck in 3.5 hours. For reference, we had most of our smaller belongings in boxes and we had several large items including a 6-piece sectional couch, office desks, office chairs, beds, dressers, a crib, a garage shelving unit, bicycles, a refrigerator, a chest freezer, bookshelves, a cabinet, a large TV stand, and more! The next day, a 2-man unloading crew (Aurelio and Maudeline) showed up at 11am at our destination address in San Jose, CA and unloaded all of our belongings into a 3-story townhouse in 4.5 hours. The crews worked extremely quickly while still taking excellent care of our belongings (absolutely no damage to any of our belongings). While I cannot speak to the service they might provide for other purposes (e.g., in-town moves, junk hauling, etc.), I highly recommend them for long-distance moves without any reservations and I can only assume they provide the same value and level of service for all of your needs! read more
