I LOVED this place!!! The set up and decor of this place is so cute and feels clean (if that makes any sense). The service is great but it's all digital. You order from a. iPad and someone brings out what you order and there's a button on the table that you press if you need service or anything. Other than someone coming to the table to drop off food or answer a call light, no one checks on you which I thought would be annoying but it's actually nice. The menu is vast. We had the spinach and peanut salad and I was ready to sell my soul for more. It was so good I couldn't stop eating it. The edamame was...edamame. Nothing special. The meat skewers were really good. The potato was delicious, I could have had 4. The beef and rice noodle soup was really flavorful and warming on a rainy Saturday. The portions of the meat are small for the price in my opinion but still, it was tender and tasty. My only complaint was the live music. It was just too loud. The guy singing was great, His voice is beautiful and the music was fun but it was so so so loud that it was hard to enjoy it and the night. I mean it was so loud the person I was with had to yell to tell me something and most of the time I couldn't understand what she was saying. The place isn't that big so the music doesn't need to be so loud. It felt like we were sitting right next to a speaker, which we weren't, but that's how loud it was. We will definitely go back but on a night with no live music. It was just so loud. We walked out with ringing in our ears, full and satisfied, but couldn't hear anything on the way home .

I originally came to this restaurant with friends just to enjoy some skewers, but it unexpectedly turned into one of the luckiest meals I've ever had! Shortly after we ordered, our server brought over a large box of playing cards and explained that from Monday through Wednesday, tables spending over $100 could draw a card for a surprise prize. I honestly thought it was just a fun little promotion, but I ended up drawing the Joker card, which meant our meal was free! At first I thought I had misunderstood, so I asked the server to confirm, and it was real! Naturally, our reaction was, "We should order a few more dishes!" We added several items we'd been wanting to try and enjoyed everything. In the end, our entire meal came to just $1 (plus tip), which made the experience even more memorable. The restaurant itself has a cozy atmosphere inspired by a traditional Chinese tavern, with lots of wood decor and a lively vibe. I was told they also have live singing performances on weekends, although I visited on a weekday so I didn't get to see one. It seems like a great place for dinner with friends or a casual gathering after work. Even without the lucky draw, the food and atmosphere made for a fun evening. Winning the free meal was just an unexpected bonus!

We visited this skewer place in Fremont based on our previous experience with its sister restaurant in LA area. The decor and ambiance are great. Service is efficient on a Sunday afternoon. Plum rice wine is a must. Beef sour cabbage stew is our favorite although the hotdog sausage in the soup is kind of odd. Of cause we came for the skewers. Most of those are decent albeit seasoned with similar if not identical spices. Lamb ribs and chicken gizzards are tough (thumbs down). Overall a good experience with room to improve.

Doubt I'll be back for several reasons: 1. tiny skewers, expected more meat on them. It was definitely tasty, well seasoned, just need to order a lot to get full. 2. very loud singers. Truly beautiful voices but cound not hear even myself when speaking. Service was alright.

This review should've been posted earlier, but this is my go to spot for Chinese skewers :) Food: The menu is pretty diverse. My favorites are the premium marbled beef, pork belly, and cauliflower. Both meats are always very soft and easy to bite off the skewer. Be warned though, pretty much everything here has the same seasoning/can be salty and the meat is small (these aren't big kebabs or anything), so you're out of luck if you don't like strong cumin flavor or are expecting big yakitori style skewers. The restaurant is called LITTLE SKEWER for a reason! I think to accompany the skewers, you definitely need to get the malatang pot. It's filled with glass noodles, different types of fish cake, sausage, thinly sliced beef, Napa cabbage, and the soup is nice and numbing. I don't know if it's because I was really hungry but this was so good and I'll be ordering it every time I come back. Service: Service here is good. The servers are friendly and even played games with some customers when I was there. The skewers also come out relatively quickly. Restaurant/cleanliness: the restaurant itself is themed well like you're in an ancient Chinese drama. I've never had this issue before but I guess some rice had gotten stuck to our water cups and I only saw that as I was about to drink. There was also some sponge piece that had gotten stuck to the soup ladle we were given. The servers were really apologetic about that.

Came here for late night skewers at around 10:15 pm with friends! Ordering is done via a tablet provided to each table. First time I've seen so many alcohol shots offered in the way they do here. We ordered cauliflower, pork, beef, squid, chicken, and wagyu beef skewers. The one wagyu beef skewer option was much larger than the batches of regular skewers. The skewers are definitely representative of the restaurant's name. Enoki mushroom hot plate was topped with a plentiful amount garlic. Cucumber salad was enough for all of us to share. Staff was attentive and refilled our teapot whenever it was empty. Will be back to get our late night skewers fix!

My new favorite skewer spot! Chewers were not too oily , perfectly seasoned Would skip out on the egg/sauge/veggie roll Mala soup was really good! Raw surf claws was okay liked the texture but needed more sauce or something to make this dish stand out Oysters 5/5 Service was really good Cute Chinese decor inside

The little skewers are indeed little and their mega ones are just the normal sizes. They taste decent but I don't think it's great value for the cost. The unexpected favorite dish out of the meal was their "cold noodles" which wasn't noodles at all. I was told this place typically has a wait but if you come right when they open, it's not a problem.

Flavorful and delicious skewers but small portions. My friends and I honestly enjoyed the veggie and tofu skewers even more than the beef! The seasonings were more fragrant on those. Looks like great food to pair with some alcohol. Nice and spacious place with fun decorations. The workers don't really attend to you at all.

Honestly, this place wasn't too bad. Price wasn't too crazy for a skewer place, albeit i haven't been to many skewer spots. Only downside that made me dock off two stars is because of the amount of meat that were on each skewers. I would have personally liked less skewers but with a fatter portion of meat in it. The small amount of meat made them all pretty dry. My friend and i ended up getting the following skewers: lamb, marbled beef, chicken, a choy and cauliflower. Honestly i hate to say but the cauliflower was probably our favorite with how tasty and flavorful it was. All the meat skewers were pretty dry until you start ordering the single sticks with the more premium meat, which we got two lamb ones. Not bad but not great either. We got the corn cheese and that was pretty decent. Service was pretty good. Everything came out pretty quickly and there was no wait when we came for dinner on a monday at 7:30p. Place has a decent amount of parking space, shared with the other two businesses in the plaza.

I went here with my boyfriend and we enjoyed our time there. It wasn't busy during the time that we went, so we got a table immediately. The place was pretty spacious with many tables to sit from. They also have a stage where you can do karaoke! Food(10/10): There's a tablet where you can add your order onto, so I think it's pretty convenient if you don't want to call for a server every time. I think my favorite would be oysters. It tasted pretty fresh and I liked the amount of garlic they added on top of it. The meat was pretty tender and nicely seasoned. The squid was not for me though, but my boyfriend enjoyed it! I just thought it was tough to chew through and rubbery. Service(10/10): Can't really complain about the service. They were really friendly and fast with their service. We didn't wait long for our orders as well! It's also cool they had their napkins and utensils in a drawer hidden within the table! At the end of our dinner, we were given air fresheners which was nice! Overall, I would come here again if I was in the area!

Relative new Chinese restaurant for meat skewers . It is similar to the original restaurant in Newark but it is bigger and more roomy. Each table has your own I pad to place the order . The waiter brings you the cooked skewers and they are kept warm on a heating tray . There is a brass tea cup for cold Water , a bucket to collect the used bamboo shower sticks . Under the table are drawers for napkins, plastic forks and spoons . One on each end of the table . You can add more food in the middle of your meal. Very simple and good are cooked fast . The service is fast and good manner . My favorite skewers are lamb , pork belly , and chicken gizzard. Cooked Napa is $1.99 , good deal for those who like vegetables. Interior decoration is pretty like an ancient Chinese garden . Definitely should come and try this.

The meat quality overall is quite good and has a decent range of cuts. Their chicken skewers across the board were our favorites. Their lamb was ok but the pineapple sausage was juicy and sweet. Do note their cucumber salad has peanuts! I'm sure you can ask for without but something to note. If you're a fan of durian or curious about the durian cheese bread, I would skip it. There's so much cheese that it masks any durian flavor so it just tastes like cheese bread. Service is fast and attentive. They give you a tablet to keep at the table so you can continue to order on your own.

When seated after ordering, we were served with the signature Afghan bread with delicious spicy dipping sauce. The owner I presume also introduced us to two lovely dishes. One with potato in a flat bread and the other was a butter nut squash. They were both served with a creamy yogurt. My wife and I ordered the trio Kabob and the eggplant dish. Highly recommended. The meats are so tender! Out of all the Persian places I have experienced the chicken at this establishment is the best! The beef even more! The dessert was heaven... If you want a true Afghan foodie experience, this is the place to go to in the Bay Area! Can't wait to try the other dishes!

Perfect char, juicy meat, and great texture on the patty. I also really enjoyed the potato bolani. Crispy bread and creamy potato. Huge portion. What's not to love! Had free chutney at the table. The slow cooked lamb in the pallow was fall-off-the bone. However, not too much meat. Mantu was a skip for me. Meat inside was delicious and sauces and wrapper worked, but not special compared to other dishes, especially since lentils were a little undercooked. They were a little disorganized, but the decor and vibes were very homey. Their portions are fairly large, and overall the food was pretty decent, although not all of the dishes were my cup of tea I will say. This was my first time having Afghanan cuisine, so take what I say here in my review with a grain of salt. I rounded up because the food was pretty tasty and filling, but wasn't super impressed by the overall experience. So, to me, flavor and quality of the food is more important than the overall experience with the staff and vibes of the space. I would have given a 3.5/5 if I could. Food: 4/5 A friend mentioned that this is his family's go to spot for some of the most authentic Afghan food, so this is what I am basing the rest of this review on. We ordered Triple Kabob Murgh, Teka and Chaplee Kabob, Quabili Pallow, Mantu, Aushak, Sabzi Challow, Kado Borani, and Doogh. The kabob meats were all seasoned differently and were very tender, but everything else had a very similar palate to each other. Everything was fairly tasty, and the lamb wasn't too gamey, which I appreciated. If you try the Doogh yogurt drink, know that it is sour and an acquired taste, my friends said it wasn't good until they ate some food along side it. Staff/Space: 3.5/5 The staff wasn't the most friendly nor did they really come to check on us. The guy just took the order and brought our order and that was the only real interactions we had with the staff. The space in general was super homey and very much set for cozy family vibes. There is a decent amount of space inside and outside to accommodate for various party sizes. There is only street parking, which is not super convenient.
