I am done with this place. I love their wings a day beer choices, as well as their atmosphere. The service is so inconsistent and generally awful most times. Hats off to kitchen manager for trying after our sons fish was less than stellar. Bartender was only one and kitchen manager said he closed the night before and opened today. I get it, but is that an excuse to be rude? We said please and thank you, but nothing from him. He threw my credit card at me even! This is not my first review of this place, but will be my last. So I was in there on Tuesday evening April 23rd. I had a standard bacon cheeseburger and a glass of iced tea for $15 which is very reasonable. I did tip $5 for the service. A few days later I noticed that they had charged my account $30. So I called and left a message for the manager and did not get a return call. So then I called the next day left a message and did get a return call by the manager named Ozzy. That was on Monday. As of today which is May 2nd Thursday haven't heard back from them and haven't had the $10 to back in my account. I just want to give people a heads-up up to make sure that they check their bank statement to make sure that they're not over tipping if it does matter to you. It does matter to me. At this point I'm not sure it's a mistake or theft but one thing's for sure they move fast to take your money but they move slowly to give it back. read more

We went to the Woody's Thursday night 7/17/14, not realizing that it was no longer the friendly neighborhood bar with a great atmosphere and staff that we always looked forward to visiting; this establishment is under completely new ownership. Inside seating was EXTREMELY noisy (Don't take a date here if you plan to have a conversation). All of the outdoor seating was occupied apparently due to the inside noise. Several patrons were smoking by the doorway making the inside smell smoky as well. The service was slow even though the bar wasn't crowded. The former owners (Little Woodrow's), did not permit underage patrons; this is apparently not an issue with the new owners as several children were playing in the restaurant and the signage forbidding patrons under 21 removed from the front door. The surley female bartender seemed unknowledgeable & unaware of some very common German brands like Paulaner; she didn't even know what hefeweizen beer was. In an establishment that sells more beer than other drinks, basic familiarity with beers should be a requirement. We will not be returning and would strongly discourage others from doing so as well. Damn Woody's. I liked you when you went by your adult name Little Woodrow's (complete with adult photos in the men's room). Woody's is exactly what I expected when I went into Little Woodrow's for the first time a couple of years ago. Little Woodrow's surprised me and they became a semi regular place to watch UT games when meeting a buddy from Marble Falls to watch UT games. Now that I have that off my chest let me get to the reason Woody's will not be getting my business any longer. Walked in about an hour before UT game and it was pretty busy already with people watching the aggie game. No problem. We find a Table in front of a TV that was showing the A&M game. Ordered my first beer and got settled in. As the UT game gets closer and the Aggie game gets a bit out of hand crowd began to thin a bit so I decided to walk up to the bar and just double check what TVs are going to show the UT game was going to be on since it kicked off in 15 minutes. The bartender who is holding the large remote control looks up and says Yes we will have it on. I explain that I understand that but I would like to make sure I can see it from my table. He again says it will be on. Ok. Strike 1. Finally the game kicks off and we cannot see it from our table but their is a table behind the bar that has it on so notify our waitress and move as this is the entire reason we are here. After this it becomes next to impossible to get a beer. Multiple times we had to flag someone down to place an order. Strike 2. Then when it is all said and done they overcharged us for beers that were already over priced. Strike 3. Seriously if you are going to be a crappy shopping center sports bar at least put the pictures of boobs back up in the bathroom. read more

Since the new owner,and mostly the new GM (Nick) have taken over,brought on a lot of new staff, and changed up the recipes on menu items, it is worth trying all over again! Bartenders are great, fish and chips are completely different(and my favorite!), and considering all the money I paid going "Around the World" in beers when it was Little Woodrows," the service is enormously improved! I'm a harsh critic, and this place deserves a second chance. Nick is great. Amanda is a great addition, it is a completely different environment as far as bad service from the former place turning into great service now! read more

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Seriously, what the hell happened to this place after it shortened it's name from Lil' Woodrows to Woody's. I rolled up there with two of my friends yesterday to watch the UT game, and was put off by the not-so knowledgeable staff from the jump. Beers are overpriced, bartender cannot tell you which TVs will be showing you which game and I'm pretty sure I was charged an extra beer on my tab. I did not dispute because I was in a hurry to get the hell out of this place. The way I see it, I paid for an extra beer to never have to deal with this place ever again. Great dive bar. Best chicken wings in the area and great appetizers. Menu could use a little expanding but it's more of a drinking bar than it is a main restaurant. Lots of tvs around with video games and outdoor seating. Tons of beers on tap with local beers and craft beers too. Will be back. read more

Has become a total dive. Got there to watch UT game at 2:30pm on a Saturday afternoon. Wanted to be outside with my dog. You would have thought it was 7am. The patio had broken glass on the floor from...whenever...another table had old limes sitting underneath. Filthy all the way around. Old nasty sofa outside - seriously? Could have taken about 2 minutes with a leaf blower to remedy (except for the limes and broken glass). Dirty floors on the inside too that were never mopped down from the previous night (or longer). Friend ordered nachos. Looked like they poured an entire can of refried beans on lame, stale chips and nuked it with some cheese on top. HUGE portion - no one would eat it. Server was pretty good, as was friendly bartender who helped get our game on outside. Staff - mostly good, though one had an attitude with my friends. Did the new owners buy this place as a write-off? That's what it seems like. I'll never go back under its current conditions. Good beers though! read more

Awesome bartenders. I went to watch the NBA trifecta of Kobe retiring, GSW breaking the all time win record and the Spurs winning yet another game. Sat at the bar and the bartenders were on point. Had dinner and a couple of drinks. I wasn't expecting a Trulucks level meal and I am not sure why anyone would. My meal definitely lived up to my expectations. Probably the best bar in the bee cave area. However, we had an issue with Jackie the bartender. Probably the rudest bartender I have ever experienced. Listen up. This place is awesome. My wife and I just moved from the The Woodlands to Kingsland and have been looking for new places to enjoy great food in a sports bar type environment. Our server had a really bad attitude. There was only a handful of people in the place and our food took 40 min to come out. When it came out our burgers were still raw. They did comp our meal but it took asking for a manager for our sever to even apologize. read more

Everything about this place is pretty chill. UNLESS, you go and are cursed with the douche lord of a bartender, Bryan. Never seen him before, totally okay with that now. Great little neighborhood/suburban hang out. Went on a Sunday during a Cowboys game so it was busy and our waitress was not as attentive. Customer service could have been better. They had no hot sauce (very strange for an Austin/Texan establishment) and apparently we couldn't get some buffalo sauce on the side either (I've traveled to some pretty bland countries and even they seem to at least have Tabasco sauce). Or maybe our waitress was too busy/overworked to care. Aside from the hot sauce rant and subpar customer service, great bar to just hang out and relax. Decided to meet some buddies at this bar for a few drinks. Quickly realized it was a poorly managed staff; only 2 bartenders on staff for a Friday night. Took nearly 15 minutes to get a beer and literally 20 minutes to get my tab after asking twice. Bartender in the man-bun gave me an extremely rude remark and was way too sarcastic, in a bad way, about everything. I'm a local, and now will be going to Chili's instead. We came on a Saturday (first weekend of college football & UT game on mind you), not expecting much in terms of service since the inside was packed. We were pleasantly surprised with the service we received outside which was sparse aside from a few patrons with dogs. Woodys is not the same beast as little woodrows was. Thank goodness. The staff is much more competent and far friendlier. Great selection of beer liquor and wine and very reasonable prices. Lots of tv's and a jukebox certainly doesn't hurt either! Since king street kitchen took over the food, quality has gone through the roof. Only reason woodys doesn't get five stars is the abundance of nitpicky over 50 a$$holes that always seem to bring the mood down a bit. Best kept secret in Austin!!! Wow! Excellent live music (7-11pm), no cover, just a tip jar if you like the band. Flamenco Symphony was fantastic last night!!! Great burgers, fried okra, fish & chips, Firecracker Shrimp (HOT) and a selection of almost 40 beers on tap (the list changes). We were in a party of 9 and our waitress (Este) was wonderful. Everyone loved the food, music, drinks, and service. Plenty of parking, no hassles. Located behind Mandola's in Shops of Galleria. (Gotta' say we were there all night from 7-11pm on 7/9/16 and never saw Sean B and his group of 7, so take neg. reviews with a grain of salt here. There may not be servers on the patio when there is no music, but even so, the bar is only about 10 steps from most tables.) read more

My wife and I brought our 1yo son with us for their highly advertised brunch.....were immediately told "We don't have high chairs....this is a bar." Ordered drinks & sat for 10 minutes with no order being taken (it was very lightly attended and there were several wait staff). Disappointed & will not be back. read more

Good food, average customer service but make no mistake - this place is not family friendly as their website touts. We made the mistake of going here with 2 kids (& 4 adults) after reading their family friendly claims on the website. Would it kill them to buy a highchair or two?!
