Conveniently located near our hotel near Forsyth Park we went here for dinner upon the recommendation of our concierge. This is a farm to table establishment with many of the purveyors listed on the back of their menu. My wife had the lamb chops with asparagus. This was the daily special. The lamb chops were cooked to perfection and, she said, that these were the best asparagus she had tasted. I had the fish special, tile fish. Again this was well prepared and thoroughly enjoyable. Ended up here for our last dinner in Savannah based on the enthusiastic recommendation of some friends. This spot was both open on Sunday and very near Forsyth Park (giving us opportunity to explore it), so that was very nice. We got one of the last reservations that night so the place was almost empty, but the servers still treated us extremely well. Unfortunately, I'm unable to remember exactly what we had because I'm writing this review a couple of months after the fact, but I remember steak and fish and a lot of creative preparations. This is definitely a special occasion type place, but definitely one to check out. Spent last Saturday night with our party from Florida and we were slightly disappointed with our overall experience at Local 11 Ten. Having dined at the restaurant years ago and remembering the exotic rabbit and high protein dishes, we were super excited to bring our friends to a local upscale restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is great and decor is beautiful as ever, but that went downhill once we found out the ladies room was out of order only after using it. Having spent over $700 on a meal, they should have working toilets. The specialty drinks were taking quite some time to make so I highly recommend just ordering wine. The best app is the spicy mussels, the starter bread and butter tastes great in the extra sauce. As far as entrees, don't waste your time on the $50 prime rib steak. You'll be trimming more fat than enjoying the cut. The pasta bolognese was just okay. The chicken looked dry on top of a bed of kale. The best meal was "cattle hunter's pot roast". It had a savory flavor and was filing for a grown man. We didn't have time to order dessert as we were pushing 2.5 hours from start to finish and ghost tours don't wait for slow dinners.... Maybe it was an off night, but I probably wouldn't be back. read more

Excellent food and very modern, stylish interiors. Came here for my birthday dinner with friends. The food was delicious! I had the rabbit ravioli, which was one of the best rabbit dishes I've had. The mac n cheese is very rich and decadent and yummy. We all had the blood orange Old Fashioned drink and it was good and unique. I thought there was not enough servers in the restaurant. Our waiter did the best he could, he had multiple tables to serve and even though we didn't have dinner till 9pm, the restaurant was still very busy. It can be a bit hard to hear because it's quite loud in there. There is a great big vault door on the way to the bathroom, which was very interesting to see. Would definitely return here the next time I'm in Savannah. read more

With all due respect to all the towns in FL, GA and SC, the only decent city between our long drive from Bradenton, FL and Raleigh, NC is Savannah, GA. Our perennial favorite is Local 11 Ten. Located in 1110 Bull St., hence the name. Service is top notch and all the food that come out of the kitchen is exquisite. We had the Cheese board, Bresaola (highly recommends) and triggerfish. If you're a local, consider yourself lucky to have this hidden gem. If you're passing by or touring this city anytime soon, you are in for a treat. read more

My husband and I ate here for the first time for our anniversary dinner and we weren't disappointed. We frequent The Public, and Local 11 Ten has the same owner. My husband and I both ordered medium rare steaks and while mine was cooked perfectly, his was accidentally cooked well done. My husband doesn't like returning food, and since the sauces and sides were so delicious he decided not to make a fuss about it. This is where Local 11 Ten gets their 5 stars from me: Because my husband wouldn't let them take the steak back, the manager covered our first round of drinks AND our dessert(a delicious lemon tart with Happy Anniversary written on the plate.) Because of their delicious food and excellent customer service, we will definitely be back again. We plan on having drinks at their rooftop bar, The Perch, next time we visit. read more

Excellent Christmas Eve dinner for five. I requested a quiet space because of my mom who is 90 and wears hearing aids, and we were seated in a semi-separate space with cork walls. It was perfect for the occasion. The meal was excellent from start to finish. The best adjectives to describe our drinks, dinner and desserts are excellent, perfectly prepared and spiced, and served in style without being pretentious or entitled. Easily one of the best meals in Savannah. The interior design is understated - and unfortunately under-lighted: we noted many people, including younger customers using their cell phone lights to read menus. The food makes up for any criticisms of the interiors. Our party of 5 started with Bouillabaisse (one of the best ever!!), Soppressata (super tasty A+) and Cesar salads (very good). Our group feasted on the rabbit (rich and sumptuous) hanger steaks (awesome blueberry ragout and fantastic potato side) and the farroto entree (absolutely delicious). I had the grouper 'seared day boat catch', which came with a spicy cream corn & corn bread side (fantastic). ALSO, this place has talented bartenders mixing creative delicious drinks and a really impressive wine selection (inside the vault). You must check out this place and make reservations. read more

What a cool spot! We sat at the bar and ended up have a 4 course meal and really quite enjoyed ourselves! Atmosphere- a 5. The decor is just so well done. Trendy, but modest and comfortable. Service - 4. Bartender service was pretty standard especially considering we ate an entire meal. Food - a strong 4. There were a few misses (braised kale), but in general we liked everything we ordered. The Caesar salad was amazing! Mussels a bit of a kick, but delicious. And get the pork belly/octopus app. We shared the scallops and I felt they were a tad overcooked, but had good flavor. Lastly, we even treated ourselves to dessert- the chocolate torte was really nice and not an overwhelming chocolate taste like you can sometimes get. read more

I honestly hoped that I would have a pleasant experience with Local 11 Ten, but was sadly disappointed. I made a reservation due to limited seating with COVID and arrived on time. My significant other and I were seated in a high traffic area near the kitchen and restrooms. After asking to be seated in a different area, we were only given one other option right next to the exit. Yet there was ample seating, that also adhered to social distancing protocol. After asking about the ample seating, we were told that only groups of four could sit there.....even though there were two couples seated in said area. I hoped to have a great experience but simple accommodations could not be made, and that speaks volumes. Maybe in the future, I will have a better experience. read more

We chose Local 11Ten at the urging of our hotel concierge. Located just south of Forsyth Park, it was an easy walk through the park to find the address. Our waitress, Shannon, was quick to join us at the table and provided a mouthwatering overview of the restaurant's specialties. Having grazed our way through a day and a half in Savannah, we were looking for light fare, shareable selections, and simple wine pairings. We chose the Justin Cabernet Sauvignon and Saldo Zinfandel. The prices were a little higher, by-the-glass selections than we'd have preferred...so a single glass was our fate. Shannon brought us a blueberry compote tasting, some cranberry sourdough bread and assisted our choice of the chef's selection charcuterie board. We were not disappointed. House made elk-sausage, mortadella, salami, pepperoni and pork taurine with garlic toast and dark mustard. Super flavorful choice...the elk sausage is absolutely award worthy. We split the Beef Bourguignon. Sweet and savory beef tenderloin reduction with seasoned fingerling potato's and baby carrots. Lip-smacking good. We passed on dessert and opted to just finish our wine but Shannon surprised us with an anniversary treat; a flourless, chocolate torte with raspberry sauce. Temptation beyond the ability to say no. An amazing dessert treat and beautifully presented. We loved the restaurant and our selections. Definitely worth visiting and trying the farm-to-able and original creations from Brandy Williamson and Kevin Conway. I'd give Local 11Ten a overall 'nine'. read more

Terrible steak and even worse service. We were served two drinks that we took a sip of and realized were not ours, then watched our waiter remove them from our table and serve them to the table next to us! As if that wasn't bad enough, the steak was over-cooked, I took two bites and returned it stating the issue, only to be told by the manager that only half of the price would be removed. Never have I ever been so appalled. Very disappointed. Will not be back and would not recommend to anyone. read more

Just when you thought the hype was fading, Local gives us yet another way to feel hip and luxurious: Perch, their new and stunning rooftop bar. Complete with bamboo plants, sexy white couches, and a full bar just steps away, you'll have no trouble going into vacation mode as soon as you climb the stairs. The cocktails are indeed pricey ($14-15), but the ambiance can help justify. The wines by the glass are drastically more affordable, starting at $7. As posh as Perch may seem, you still get that neighborhood vibe that makes Savannah what it is: a small town, with friendly people, who know how to enjoy life. Cheers to that! read more

Local 11 Ten use to be one of my favorite places during my time in grad school in Savannah. It's a restaurant that I loved going to for a little bit of modern civility in the historic district just around the park from my house. The first time 2 years ago, I had an amazing shrimp stew and their duck entree which was equally stunning. However, the last two times the food (dry, overcooked, and bland) and service (obsequious or forgetful) has been subpar so when I went last week I was really hoping things improved. They didn't. My food wasn't at the standard I was use to expecting based off my first experience from the restaurant and the service was again nothing spectacular. In fact, I mentioned to the person I was eating with that I was underwhelmed 3 or 4 times during the course of the meal. The check was 123.05. I paid. I left 17 for a tip. Call it an "even number" habit. I made the bill 140.05. After sending it I realized how I may have not tipped enough and asked my guest should I have him bring it back to add more. He reassured me that it wasn't a big deal and not to worry. So I didn't. Keep reading... One week later, I get an anonymous message on an online dating/social app that reads(grammar and mispelling is not my own): "I'm telling all black and latin guys how tip. It's 20% not 10% - 14%. If your check is 130 you leave 26. Not 17." I called the restaurant immediately and called the operations manager leaving messages to inform them of what happened and that I reported them to the Better Business Bureau: Intimidation as a tactic for discrimination. I shook all morning and cried on the phone with the friend who ate with me and my best friend. I am so frustrated trying to convince people that this stuff happens in day to day life, and if not to you (a person of color) then someone you know. Local 11 Ten sorely disappointed me, though they have profusely apologized. Unfortunately, I don't intend on being a patron of Local 11 Ten or the other Daniel Reed restaurants, Public and Soho South Café, any time soon. They assured me they would get to the bottom of who sent me the message and fire the employee, but I've yet to receive any correspondence after the first conversation despite my sending screenshots to the operations manager and an additional email notifying him my complaint was accepted by the Better Business Bureau and the restaurant is being looked into for a pattern of this type of behavior. Look elsewhere to spend your good money. read more

Not sure if it gets much better than this place. All locally farmed foods served in the Old Savannah Bank building? It's pretty amazing. The menu is very limited, but not in a bad way. All of the dinners are carefully thought out by the chef, so sides are perfectly paired with their meats. Also, there is something for everyone. Don't like pork? Not a problem. Don't eat meat? Not a problem. Carnivorous as hell? Certainly not a problem. In fact, the filet I had rivals the best I've ever eat from anywhere, including Bern's in Tampa. It's just that good. Perfectly cooked and seasoned, so the mushroom veloute sauce was absolutely unnecessary. Brussel sprouts with chorizo? Yes, yes and hell yes! If these are on the menu, do yourself a favor and order them. They're delicious, and a perfect carb-free side for the filet. I also had a Caesar salad, and it was wonderful, but it was severely outshined by the cabbage and ground filet soup. Soup-erb is how I'd describe it. I'm not sure who the chef was, but I certainly hope they're recognized outside of sleepy little Savannah. The place is a little pricey, but you get what you pay for. Some more expensive eateries tend to scale back on the portions, but not here. You will leave stuffed, make no mistake. Just to give you an idea on the prices, 5 of us ate for about $275. So you won't go broke, but it will definitely hit the wallet a little harder than most places. Local 11 Ten is a must-stop for anyone visiting Savannah. Mark my word. The wife and I were in Savannah seeking a well deserved respite from our kids and had planned on dining at Alligator Soul, our favorite restaurant in Savannah. Turns out, they were closed due to some flood damage. We turned to Yelp and found Local 11 Ten. Dined on a Wednesday night, late. Restaurant was not very busy. Ambience was romantic/sophisticated. We opted for the 4 course Chef's Choice with wine. Our courses were way too much to remember so I'll just try to hit the basics. Wine paired beautifully with each course. 1--Squid, gazpacho, roasted hot pepper, squid ink. Again, this is an extreme generalization of what was actually served. I liked this dish. The flavor of the gazpacho was very subtle and played well with the vegetables and squid. With that said, prob our least favorite course 2--rabbit, leeks, chestnuts, dark gravy...absolutely our favorite. The sauce was rich, like you'd find in a bourguignon. The rabbit wasn't in the least bit gamey and indescribably tender and tasty. I could have eaten 4-5 servings of this. Amazing dish. 3--lamb chops, blackberry sauce, tarragon. Lamb was cooked perfectly, flavored melded well. Truly enjoyed this one. Only critique would be to put just a tad more salt on the lamb. 4--brûlée custard with raspberries,mint, and an orange sauce. Second favorite course, and I'm not a dessert guy. The flavors in this dish were just incredible. Our server, Egle, was attentive, accommodating, and friendly. She did a fantastic job presenting and describing courses not on the menu. The Chef's Choice is a bit more expensive than just snagging a couple of entrees and a bottle or two of wine but I felt it was well worth getting to taste what Chef Brandy wanted us to taste. Food was good. Service was pretty good (although the hostess and server lacked genuine human warmth and seemed disinterested). But, the overall experience was very disappointing. We were seated, not in the fabulous main bar/dining area, but in a separate, totally isolated large second dining room in the back. This second dining room was featureless, dark, unappealing and dead. An entirely different experience than what we would have had had we been seated in the main bar/dining area. And, we were well-dressed (not wearing shorts or t-shirts or the like), so that couldn't have been the excuse for relegating us to a very second class experience. I detest restaurants like Local 11 Ten (and their owners/managers) who a) obviously appreciate how critical creating a great space/experience is, as evidenced by having invested a lot to create a fabulous bar/dining area, but b) are content to relegate some customers to what they know is a markedly inferior experience yet charge those customers the same prices regardless. Seems like hypocrisy and greed to me. read more

The only time I've ever eaten inside an old bank was at my favorite restaurant in Bruxelles-- BelgaQueen. This place had a lot to live up to and it did. The decor of this place was absolutely stunning and what was amazing was that I was able to eat right next to the bank vault. I giggled like a little school girl that our group got seated there. The bread was delicious! We felt like we needed something else so we asked for olives, which they happened to have from Perch, maybe? We were thinking we were going to get a small dish of them..umm...not we received an entire bowl that included tomatoes and the most deliciously marinated olives! I wanted to try everything on this menu!! Instead, I went with the duck. I don't normally eat duck because it's never cooked right but I took a chance here and I am SOOO GLAD. I asked for my duck medium and it was perfectly cooked. Our side dishes were as follows: brussel sprouts (amazingly delicious), mac and cheese (rich and creamy), and the asparagus (perfectly roasted). AHHH SOO GOOD. I'm drooling just thinking about this place. The waitress was super helpful even though at times I felt like an episode of Portlandia where we were asking about where everything came from and how it was prepared. Based upon reviews, I dined here while conducting my own food tour of Savannah. an excellent experience was had at Local 11 Ten. super super cool interior, and really classy service from entire staff, including Jordan my server. That guy is good! My highlights included the beautiful and fresh oysters, with a bacon/cornmeal stuffing, and saffron hollandaise. Served in a cast iron skillet. Boom. The Duck dish was cooked perfectly, and I mean perfectly. Medium rare glory. With awesome crispy duck skin nuggets on the side, charred apples, and a spicy beet reduction for plate presentation. Excellent dish. The almighty wonderful touch? The manager stopping by to inquire about my dining experience. That effort itself, is what separates restaurants with class and genuine concern, from others which might fail to actually give a rats ass. Our dinner at Local 11 Ten was our one fancy-pants Honeymoon meal. It didn't disappoint. We made reservations for Sunday evening, although they weren't so busy that you couldn't have walked in and also gotten seated. We really liked the modern decor inside. Our server was knowledgeable and patient. They get a gold star for actually having caipirinhas on the menu, one of my husband's favorite adult beverages. However, they lost that star when we learned they no longer serve frog legs (which were still on the menu). He was really excited to order them, for some reason, so he had to totally re-think his dinner plans. He ended up getting some sort of chicken, I had the filet. The sides were a-la-carte. I went with a mashed potato which I'm sure had a fancier name than "mashed potato" that I can't remember right now, he had glazed vegetables of some sort. They offered numerous sauces and marinades to customize your meal, which I thought was nice. I went with herbed butter, because why not? I was pleasantly surprised that the meal was actually a normal amount of food. Not the skimpy-yet-artfully-arranged fare you usually see at this kind of place, but not so much food that you needed a doggy bag. Fair warning, for the two of us to eat dinner plus one drink each was just under $100. So know that once you add that side and those sauces, the price keeps going up. It wouldn't keep me from going back, just be aware of what you're ordering so you don't get sticker shock when the bill comes. read more

What a nice restaurant. I have now been twice and had a great experience both times. This last meal, was a celebration for my girlfriend's birthday and we were greated with birthday wishes and promptly brought champagne. Our serrvice was very personal, and knowledgable where our choices were met with other suggestions and insight. Drinks from the bar were excellent and the wine selection was perfect. I highly recomend the the Crab Crisps for and app, and the flourless chocolate cake for a dessert. The main courses are very well put together and make it difficult to choose one. I had a special that was a little skimpy, (it was great though). And my only drawback was that the meals came before we could even order our wine, maybe we could have made a quicker selection, but it came out fast. Overall this is one of the best in Savannah. Second experience, we took our good friends from NYC. We were recommended the bison brisket. Which unfortunately came out really dry. Within 5 minutes, they were comfortably making sure their guest, my husband, was satisfied and gave a different dish. They served the ribeye, which was excellent. My boyfriend says, 'well, if you want to impress your lady...' But really, this is an amazing restaurant. The vibe is great the second you walk in. The set up, the bar, the host, all of it is very modern but still very welcoming. (I imagine for being in downtown Savannah, this must be one of the only or most modern restaurants there). We ate in the back room, which was all windows and was very nice to dine with the town as a backdrop. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and very (very) into the food they were serving. We started with the mussels. I love mussels and I try them almost everywhere that offers them. These were very good however, a bit too spicy - had that been toned down a bit, I would have spooned all the broth right there. For our entrees we had the day boat catch and then a few a la carte items including the chicken breast, Brussels sprouts with chorizo and the garlic chive potato purée. The waitress had reason to be so passionate about her descriptions, the food was fantastic. The day boat catch was very fresh and the chicken was so tender and juicy! We loved the Brussels sprouts with chorizo and the potatoes were fantastic. Our drinks to accompany were great as well. We even stayed after at the bar for another drink after we completed our meal. It was raining so we missed out on the great looking rooftop terrace but that just means we will HAVE to plan another trip to eat there! read more

Ventured away from the riverfront to try some of the finer restaurants in the center of the historic district of Savannah - and found a very place in Local 11 Ten. Since we were staying near the river, we decided to drive the mile instead of enjoying a nice walk to the restaurant - next time we will walk. It's a beautiful neighborhood with parks placed all along Bull St. on the way to the place. NOT car friendly FYI. The place is a converted old bank, which is always cool The private dining table is in front of the safe, and the depository is still on the outside of the building. The decor is calming, high ceilings, soft muted colors, and plenty of sound proofing on walls in the form of bunted wall coverings. Very nice and inviting. Started with a special house margarita sweetened with agave syrup. Ouch....WAY too sweet, which covered up the great taste of the premium tequila. Almost undrinkable. Started with a special tuna tartare with dripples of sriracha hot sauce and homemade waffle chips to help scoop it. WONDERFUL! a bit of crunchy red onion mixed in added to the texture and flavor. Partner started with the fried chicken livers served with a side of mini waffles and maple syrup - YUM! Light, crisp and fun. Entree was the special fish of the day - grouper. Lightly sauteed on a bed of julienne mushrooms went perfectly with a glass of chardonnay. Side note - the wine list is awesome! I'm coming back for a bottle of the 100% petite verdot! Hard to find outside of a blend....! I chose the brussel sprouts with italian sausage which could have been tasty, but overdone with the sauce. The soy/hoisin-ish sauce had way too much sugar (a la margarita) to enjoy. Of course I ate it - but it filled my jones for dessert. Overall, I would go back. The service was professional, the place is beautiful and soothing, good for casual drop in for dinner or drinks, or go dress up and go for a special occaision.
