I walked past this place so many times before so I decided to bring my sister and her friends here for brunch on afternoon. We did their bottomless mimosas and also ordered brunch. The food was delicious and the service was great. The waitress was very sweet and was very on top of refilling our water and beverages. We were able to make a reservation for 5 the day of. We were seated fast, but did not have a server come by until 10 mins later. Then, the drinks took another 30 minutes.... I wish I was exaggerating. The staff was kind, but the place must be understaffed because it's pulling teeth trying to get an order in. They did mess up one dish, but were accommodating and did take it off the check. They had our card for about 10 mins too... just overall very slow service. Still very nice servers though! We came to Local 92 for brunch and started out with a margarita and an aprerol spritz. Then we ordered hummus and the meatballs. These were both very flavorful and well seasoned. They provide a very large amount of hummus. My husband ordered the hangover pita and I ordered the avocado toast. The poached egg was cooked perfectly and the avocado was well seasoned. It has a nice fresh arugula salad with it, that was tasty. I really enjoyed the potato pancake. It was an overall delicious meal and good experience. read more

Overall a quality spot but we have some feedback. We felt that the staff were not very attentive and we had to flag them down to order and ask for items, even though the restaurant was pretty empty. Also the feta that they add to the shakshuka is definitely not the Israeli salty style, it's the hardened kind and it was kind of meh with the shakshuka. And lastly, there are no side salads. Even a small cucumber tomato salad would be a great option to add to several of the dishes. But on a positive note, the table top lamp on the table has multiple settings to create the ambience of your choice. You can also take a very classy selfie in the bathroom. read more

The worst server ever he doesn't even listen to what the customer says . Firstly, he bought the wrong drinks , and he just grab the food that was left at the bar when I asked him what's that it looks good He said it's Mediterranean tips, thats for you here it is and just put it in our table . We were like that was quick, his responses was like we prepared and keep one plate out cox that's a very popular dish we just give it whoever order first which I never heard of before. He also charged us for the mineral water when we asked for still water and explained still water is a mineral water. The food was terrible never ever go there. He would even come and touch our plate to explain what's in the plate . The whole experience was so terrible . Drink price at the Halloween party posted as $20. Bartender spins iPad around and it's showing $24.65. I asked what is this, tax? NYC sales tax being 8.875% brings this total up to $21.77. He says it's tax and a credit card fee. What kind of a credit card fee is $2.88? A 4% credit card fee would only add $0.80 to the tab. So the bartender is saying the credit card fee at this establishment is 14.4%? What a complete lack of transparency on pricing here. No posted notice of such credit card fees. You're already charging me $20 for a few liquids mixed together, and you really need to bang another almost $5 out of me before tip? Buyers beware of hidden bait and switch fees. read more

This place is filthy!! Huge pile of garbage every day out front for years! Rats everywhere! Always there a puddle of steaming green garbage juice that wafts into the seating area. I spoke to the manager and he had the audacity to tell me it was all legal and not his fault of the city didn't pick it up. When he well knows he is required by law to get a private carter. This restaurant is poorly managed. I witnessed guests, more than 2 tables, dispute or wait a long period for their bill. I witnessed another waiter step in to help the waiter I had who clearly was not up to the job. Other diners also complained their Order was late. We popped in for a drink, and it was just ok. The service was spotty, as the dude who took our order never came back to the table, then I found him eating dinner at the bar when I hit the mens room. We were visiting from Houston TX and went here for brunch with my cousins on a Saturday. We were super excited for the place, but turned out to be a total disappointment. We were sat immediately since the restaurant was empty. Ordered our drinks, and placed orders for tapas. It took them about 25 to 30 mins to bring our drinks to the table and maybe an hour to get the tapas. Service was super slow!! My full drink fell and they didnt even bother to offer me a replacement. The food was good but didnt make up for the service. We enjoyed the hummus, the calamari and the falafel. The meatballs were ok, not great. Meanwhile, another party had come and sat down in the restaurant and within 10 mins of them being seated, one of them had a fall because the chair BROKE!! Lovely hostess Jenny let us grab seats at the bar, where Kellen the very talented bartender was serving up some great drinks. They were out of something to make espresso martinis, but Kellen whipped us up something even better from his own creation. He has an amazing palate, and was able to steer us in a new (and better) direction for our drinks! They told us they just opened and are getting their stride - we never would have known!
