We came to celebrate our 2 year wedding anniversary and was very disappointed. From the moment we went inside the two hostess looked us like they did not want to service us. No smile or welcome. We were seated and the waitress looked us like she didn't want to even speak to us and seemed forced. Our food was brought by a different person. The waitress didn't even bother to come and ask us if everything was ok or if needed refills. I had to flag her down to ask for napkins and a forgotten ranch that I had asked. The waitress was attending other customers around us but not us. I found a piece of wood in my sandwich but did not say anything because I am not a person that complains or writes reviews. However I felt the need to because we felt like we were ignored because of the color of our skin. I used to be a regular fan of this place because of the ambience, location and taste of the food/drinks. However, one random day me and my girlfriend went to have dinner as this became our date night restaurant. We always got the same order and drinks. That day she ordered her usual drink THE CABRILLO and after her first taste she expressed to me it tasted sour. I went ahead and tried it myself and realized it was wayyy too sour. As an ex-bartender I knew the taste was off due to maybe a change of recipe or something as simple as them using artificial mix rather than a crafted recipe. I went ahead and voiced my concerns to our server and asked for them to remake it due to the taste being off maybe because of the reasons I stated above. The server comes back with a "new" drink and gives me a snarky response from the bartender "we do not use artificial mixers here. All fresh." So I now proceed to taste this new drink and it wasn't any better. So I told my girlfriend to order something else. She said no and proceeded to get a coke. The food also started to get less and less consistent that night we ordered WYATTS WINGS something simple as again we always ordered the same food and drinks. The wings came out a bit under and I didn't see my waiter to send them back. That night they were really busy but it's not an excuse to make less of an experience for their customers. I see a lot of the customers say their drinks are pricey which I would agree but at first the price didn't matter because me and my girlfriend enjoyed them. First, I brought my family there because usually it's a place I like, however, two of the waitresses were wearing small black tops showing wayyyy too much, very uncomfortable, so inappropriate. Here's the thing. I've been here several times. Don't expect anything to be like what you see in the pictures or in other people's reviews. While they are pretty good, the executions can be spotty. Also the pictures can be deceiving as what they used to serve that was highly rated has changed. Although the food quality is still decent. You can tell a big difference between when they serve a pasta dish with fresh made vs now it's a box pasta. The penne is ok, but you used to serve it with a pappardelle which is obviously fresh made. Now you serve it with a box penne pasta, and now you are charging more at 25-30$. It's less for more and I'm tired of these tactics. If you have to cut down costs, I get it, charge more and keep it the same, or cheapen it and charge the same.?But, charge more and cut down quality of ingredients just feels like you are getting screwed. The place was packed, on a Friday night. It was our first visit. LK is a restaurant/sports bar. Lots of TVs to keep track of current sports. They play fairly loud classic/hard rock music--but it can't compete with the stunning din of the patrons. It's a place where you have to lean in and fairly shout to talk with your table mates. But we don't usually go to these kinds of places. Those who do might find the cacophony energizing. As far as food, it's good contemporary comfort food. I had a new take on meatloaf--the Dave's BBQ Stack. It comes with fantastic thin-sliced fried onions, mashed potatoes and is "stacked" on slices of ciabatta bread laid over a thin pool of tangy BBQ sauce. The meatloaf itself was unremarkable but the other elements made it fun to eat. My wife had the Fish Tacos which were as good as I've had anywhere. If you like busy/noisy sports bars this is your place. If we were to go back I'd wait for one of their few sidewalk tables so we could avoid the hearing loss. read more

We were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess and waited probably no more then five minutes on a Friday night before being seated. Our order- Memphis Bird Salad- kale, candied pecans, fried chicken bits tossed in a creamy dressing. 4/5 I felt the fried chicken was a little bit too fried and cut too tiny where it felt the pieces didn't have enough meat. Nachos- raw slices of jalapeños, black beans, cheese, guacamole, sour cream, salsa and choice of meat (we got chicken) on top of a bed of chips. Lots of flavor in this dish and well done version of nachos. It disappeared quickly with the four of us. Brussel sprouts- roasted in balsamic vinegar with bacon, you can't go wrong with bacon. These disappeared quickly too. Double burger- I loved, loved, loved their brioche bread!! Burger was perfectly juicy. I would definitely come back again for this. Parking can be hit or miss. We found parking pretty fast but I heard sometimes it can take a while. Lots of choices for those who love their libations. I don't really drink (only weddings and such) so I was the DD. The water didn't taste like tap water here and is filtered- for those who care. The rest of my party seemed to enjoy their beers. I can't recall what they got. Portions are huge. I don't eat like a bird and for I to point out the huge portions, it carries weight y'all! My husband and I split the burger and salad. My brother and my sister in law split their plates too. All of us can eat and have hefty appetizers and we left completely stuffed. Service was excellent too. The manager was out there hustling and helping his servers since it was busy. I like seeing managers who get out on the floor to aid their staff because it shows nothing is beneath him. Reminds me of how my mother, brother and I ran our restaurants back in the day. I've been here 3 times and this is the first review I'm writing. First, the food is really good!!! I mean, really good. I would say 5+ stars. So why the 4 star review? The service. During busy times, service seems to take longer than usual. Bar seating is open seating so we went to the high top. After about 5 minutes of not being acknowledged, we went back to the front to put our name down for a table. When we got seated, it took a while for the server to come by to take our order and then it took a while for the food to come out. However, despite it being slow, service was very friendly. The Brussels sprouts are delicious. The vinegar they use really gives it a unique but not salty taste. Their burgers are good too. Can't go wrong with any of them. Also can't go wrong with fries or tots. Both fried to perfection. Crispy and fresh! Love the food but I'll only come here if I don't mind waiting or am not in a rush. Also, the atmosphere is kind of loud so it can be hard to have a conversation (if that's important to you). Portions are huge too. :) read more

Love that they are dog friendly for outdoor dining! If you're sitting inside, the vibes are very cozy. Big leather chairs, spacious booths, and even a full bar with sports on tv (if that's your thing) that's tucked inside off the side of the dining area so that it doesn't make the atmosphere too loud and raucous, but still a fun time. The layout really makes it a versatile spot to bring your friends, parents, or even a casual date! After visiting several times and trying something different each time, most dishes have been tasty and all have been very generously portioned. The chicken nachos are my favorite - they are HUGE and really delicious. I like that they layer everything so you get a good even distribution of all the toppings instead of just slopping all the toppings on the top and center of a pile of chips. Chicken was well seasoned and not dry. Just beware that they put a ton of jalapeños in there, so if you don't love spicy food it's gonna be a hard time. It's a mix of finely diced and huge bite sized hunks of jalapeño so even if you manage to pick out the big chunks, the little pieces will get ya! It's like they just doused the chicken and the arugula with lemon juice.
