    Bone-In Beef Ribeye
    Cameron Q.

I was in the area and wanted to try LockKeepers. I am always a fan of the Savour Hospitality, which owned Il Venetian, and Marble Room. The first course was complimentary breads with olive tapenade. The breads were so rustic and delicious. The olive tapenade was a great dipping sauce. For appetizer, I got fried calamari. It was a modern Italian twist. The fried calamari was so tender. It had light breading. It was fried together with olives, sun dried tomatoes, sliced shiitake mushrooms and some basils. It was so good that I kept eating it. For entrees, I got the bone-in CAB ribeye. It was cooked medium rare. The steak was juicy, tender and had a little bite to it. The asparagus was great in the dish. However, I was not too keen on crispy potatoes with Gorgonzola cheese. The cheese kinda made the potatoes a bit salty. I didn't enjoyed it at all. The beef short rib was another entree I tried as well. It was tender but the flavor was not deep and complex. Overall, the restaurant did a good job with the food. I would come back if I am ever in the area.

What a treat this was as a date night. Patio seating has a great view of the canal and towpath with the sun setting behind you. On top of the excellent food we had. The service we experienced was very attentive and took care of all of our needs. It's also nice that their specials rotate regularly and you can always enjoy something different that's not on their regular menu.

The tiramisu was amazing. Don't skip out. Other highlights: chicken parm, tuna and bolognese. Waitress (Karen) was very informative and kind!

The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive and precise. He was very accommodating and professional. The food was very good. Everyone loved their dishes. The lobster pasta was a big hit. The ribeye was fantastic. My filet was a bit overcooked but good. The ambiance is upscale casual. They have a full bar and great drink options. It is a bit pricey for the filet and lobster ravioli serving sizes. But the rest of the dishes were good sized. Overall it's a very nice place to celebrate a special occasion. Parking can be tricky but they have valet.

Came here for my birthday dinner. Had reservations at 5pm. Per the site they had happy hour during this time however no happy hour menu was given to us. Place is clean and big (2 floors). We started off with the calamari which was delicious then ordered the Caesar salad. I was between ordering the lobster ravioli and the seafood risotto. Decided on the seafood risotto which was very good and had a good portion size but I will probably opt for the ravioli next time. My husband was between the filet and ribeye. The ribeye was over cooked and you can see below (& Taste) the grilled charred on steak. Probably will lean towards seafood at this restaurant over steak. Overall, service and server were great!

Stopped in for happy hour Friday evening before we went to the movies to see wicked. They have a great happy hour menu!! Bartenders were attentive and friendly. Had some delicious red wine paired with a few apps (pepperoni pizza, sun dried tomato dip and chips, cheese plate, Cesar salad) and had to top it off by the seasonal dessert which was to die for!! Great crowd for a Friday evening. Will definitely return and always love sitting at the bar.

LockKeepers? More like LockKeepers-of-my-heart. The food was chef's kiss--every bite better than the last. The staff treated us like VIPs without the attitude, and the vibe was fancy enough to impress but cozy enough to relax. 10/10 would cancel plans just to eat here again.

The restaurant is super cute inside and our server Karen was great. That's pretty much the reason for the high rating because, the food wasn't as good as we anticipated. Everything was very bland. It wasn't horrible - but bland! After we went home and added salt it was good but for the prices I figured it would've came seasoned. The pear martini was awesome and so were the meatballs and polenta. I want to come back for happy hour because they have another menu for happy hour that seems more appealing to me. Unlike most places after happy hour is over you can no longer order from that menu fyi.

My family has come here several times, but this was my first time since I live out of town! We came for a post-Easter mass dinner and we had a lovely time. The appetizers and dessert were great for sharing and super flavorful! The entrees were also good, but honestly I favored the appetizers and dessert a bit more. Our servers were friendly and attentive, and also our particular waiter was quite funny! The ambiance was old school kind of mid century wood vibe, like classic American style. Overall, we had a nice time!

I met a friend for breakfast this morning, and everything from start to finish was spot on. I ordered the Sweet Jalapeño Sandwich: an English muffin piled with jam, bacon, an egg cooked over medium, and cheddar, served with home fries. It was the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and just a little kick. My friend stuck with her usual: the Banana & Bourbon Caramel Bread Pudding French Toast, topped with fresh bananas and their homemade bourbon caramel sauce, plus a side of pork belly. It looked incredible and, according to her, tasted just as good as it always does. We arrived just a few minutes after they opened at 8:00 and were seated right away. The service was friendly, attentive, and very prompt without feeling rushed. Scratch has such a great casual, local diner feel, but with a menu that's anything but ordinary. We were seated quickly and I was looking forward to a good meal, but alas, that was not to be. After taking our drink order the server told us that there would be: A 20% gratuity automatically added to the bill (fine, it's to be expected), and there would be a 3% surcharge if you paid with anything other than cash (ugh) and oh yeah, they won't split the check. We should just pick somebody to pay the whole check and we could "just Venmo them" (and I guess, figure out a way to also split the 3% surcharge). Can't get around the surcharge as no one I know walks around with hundreds of dollars in their wallet, of course. None of this information is mentioned on their website or their socials or Open Table. It made for an ugly and embarrassing surprise,to say the least. Anyway, we all were shocked by that last item so we told the server we'd pay for our drinks but we were leaving. I'm a big supporter of independent restaurants but this ridiculous policy is incredibly alienating. So, birthday dinner plans ruined we made do with a local chain around the corner. Food was so so but at least they were pleasant, professional and accommodating for our large party. We tipped accordingly.
