I re downloaded the Yelp app just for this: Friend ordered a drink with one rock. Bartender puts in multiple ice so he corrects her. SHE PULLS THE ICE OUT OF HIS DRINK WITH HER BARE HANDS. So he refuses the drink and asks if she could make another one and she refuses because she already rang him up. She gets the owner who, after my friend calmly explains situation, owner gets hostile and yells at friend YOU'RE FUCKING OUT OF HERE! he comes around the bar and tries to pull my friend out the door. My friend says he will leave but not to touch him. My friend every put his hands up, we tried to calm down the owner. He was unnecessarily aggressive and he called the cops! read more

As a proud owner of TWO Buywithme's for this place, I finally made it out to Loft 266. This is the first time I've ever had trouble finding something while still knowing exactly where it is. First, I had to figure out where to park (on the street, or there's a lot behind the building, but you have to circle around Blue Jean's pizza to get to it) then I had to figure out exactly how to get to the Loft. I walked around to the front, to see a sign labeled "Wheelchair entrance only" and an arrow pointing to a main entrance to I walked into what felt like an office building (where you'd visit your lawyer or your accountant or maybe a physician, but not a bar) and then stepped through a door. NOT Loft. I asked the hostess of the restaurant I walked into where Loft was and she kindly smiles and said "upstairs." Upstairs, okay. Suggestion: A SIGN directing people where to go. Tell us which door to enter (from the outside you'd never guess it was the way to a bar) and then tell us where to go (since once inside you'd STILL never guess it was the way to a bar). So upstairs I head for my appointment with my CPA... I mean, to Loft 266 and when I enter I'm surprised to find that either nobody is going to Loft 266, or nobody else could find it when they tried. In other words, the joint was empty. It was the bartender, me, another bartender that was just hanging out at the bar, and one other patron. This was 7pm on a Thursday. That's fairly prime drinking time. Where is everybody? While waiting for my friend I perused the menu and ordered a beer. My bartender was charming and pleasant. The beer menu is extensive, both in draft and bottled format, which I appreciate quite a bit. The layout of this place screams BAR (a big bar in the center and a few tables scattered around it, all high tops, and the bar in the main attraction, so I wasn't at all surprised when the food menu was comprised of just a handful of bar food items (Note, though, you can also get pizza from Blue Jeans Pizza next door, so if you're hungry there are eats to be had). I ordered a salad (the only salad), which has a tangy mustardy dressing and nuts and dried cranberries and goat cheese... it was surprisingly delicious. A little later after my friend joined me I also ordered crab cakes, which were also very very good. And for $8, I got 3 hearty crab cakes, which is much more ample of an order than you'd normally see when you order crab cakes. We lingered until about 9 and the place never really picked up (maybe ten more patrons came in, which make it seem less deserted, but not lively). This was fine, since I was enjoying the company of my friend, but, in general, it's nice to have a full but not overcrowded bar. Also, there are new flat screen tvs anywhere, so if you're a game watcher, this would be a good place to watch one. To summarize - Good staff. Nice setup. Great beer selection. Reasonable prices. Small but delectable bar menu (plus pizza). Desperately in need of better signage outside and in the hallways, and, of course, patrons! In other words, go to Loft 266. You'll like it. dead for a reason... we ordered the original combo platter as an appetizer and that included chicken tenders (breadcrumb coated, no salt, 0 flavor), broccoli cheddar bites .. more like fart bites ! omg ! tasted like someone tooted in my mouth ! to top it off some cold fries.. but the fart bites were really the cherry on top. slow service, poor bartender was the only man but again wasn't busy... the drinks were also kinda a waste of time, 150% juice barely any tequila :( read more

To preface this review we went for a surprise birthday party at 6:00pm on a Tuesday and the place was all but empty except for our party due to being upstairs at loft rather than downstairs at blue jeans so I cannot comment on the typical crowds or the standard atmosphere. But the staff was very friendly and accommodating. I had the nachos grande which were a touch salty to eat as a meal but I think they would be fine if you were splitting them as they are intended. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food in our group. I definitely plan on returning to blue jeans due to their all you can eat specials on the weekend after experiencing the quality of food from their joint menu. read more

Great staff, quiet during the week, nice atmosphere. Came here Valentine's weekend and it was pretty hopping! Great bartenders and good drinks. $5 martinis. Cheesecake Martinis are great. Also, food from Blue Jeans Pizza next door and the restaurant below make for a great selection. If this was in Boston, $8-$12 drinks and it would fit right in. Only negative is parking - either in front on Park Ave or way behind Blue Jeans Pizza. During snow season, Park Ave is narrow and tough to park on. read more

Getting into Loft 266 was a tad confusing...not only for the entrance but also for the parking. Once we figured out that we needed to go around to the other street and come in that way we were good on that part. The funny thing about the entrance is..well...just a glass service/store door. No fancy door...No sign above the door. We walked around the front, but no door. So we went back to the glass door and tada! We found the way upstairs!!! It just wasn't very welcoming. We walked into to a very nice interior. Upscale, sleek and classy. Loved the windows!! They tilted out so that we got a great breeze! Pub style tables and chairs lined the walls with a lot of distance between them and a large square wrap bar. Our waitress was personable and very helpful. The drinks were delicious and there was a list of matinees that were 5 bucks!!!! The menu was pub apps. But you could order personal pizzas and the pizza place next door would make them which was pretty cool! Sound system was awesome as were the flat screens in every corner and lots in the middle above the bar. It was a great spot for girls night to enjoy drinks, apps and lots of girl talk!! read more

I went with a group of ladies for Ladies' Night on a Wednesday. Each of us got a free app, so between 7 of us, we just ordered one of everything. LOVED the buffalo chicken fingers (a special that night). The nacho cheese sticks were interesting, but tasted like processed "cheese." Everything else was a pretty solid version of that particular standard bar app. $5 cosmos were fab and strong. Service was also all from the bar, and the girls working were friendly and efficient, though slow with the check at the end of the night. The biggest issue with this place is that it doesn't have much personality, at least not yet. Beautiful flat screens and some sparse memoribilia on the walls do not a sports bar make. The space just felt very generic and new, like it wasn't used much yet. And they NEED better signage... both outside for parking and inside for how the heck you get in there. All 6 of us who hadn't been there before had issues figuring out how to get in. Came here on a weekend night with friends because I'd heard good things. First of all, parking -- what parking? We had to park down the street and around the corner and hoof it in the snow, which was no picnic in heels! Luckily I was with someone who had been before, otherwise there is no way I would have been able to find the entrance. Getting upstairs, we entered into an absolutely full house - none of the emptiness issues other yelpers noted. The problem was the layout, while conducive to dinner and happy hour, is seriously flawed when it comes to a busy late-night spot. The tables are in the perimeter of the room, the barstools encircle the whole bar, and it leaves about two feet of walking/standing/socializing space for the hundred or so people that don't have a table or stool. Meanwhile you still have waitstaff trying to bring food to the tables with minimal space to move. Didn't have great service; granted it was busy, but the bartenders didn't serve in order and the drinks were not strong enough for my liking. Prices were alright, nothing to write home about. Overall, I'd go here again if a group of friends were going, but given a choice, I'd hit one of the other Worcester spots. read more

The OWNER of this place literally collects tips. It's especially sad considering the girls who work there are college students. He famously tells them "I don't work for free" as he precedes to collect their tips. Pretty sure it's illegal for an owner in MA to do this. Sketchy and cheap. read more

Went here for a birthday dinner and had a great time. The waitress was nice and didn't hover. The food took a while but the drinks were always full, so maybe just a one time thing? Food was good but we ordered pizza and I already knew I liked it! They also had live music which was awesome! I will be back to try a different selection of food. read more

Gone here on several occasions and there is one young male bartender who consistently takes his own tips out of the change that is supposed to be mine. For example I ordered a drink that costed $5 and paid with a $20 bill. I watched the bartender go into the register to get my change and watched him take one dollar and put it in his tip jar. Came here for a couple drinks with a friend. Got sick from their soft drink soda fountain dispenser to mix with the alcohol. Both of us. So after trying every kind the coke, diet coke, ginger ale, mixed with bacardi and having a sickening taste of mold, and bacteria, we had the bartenders try it. They agreed and said they would talk to owner. We couldnt even finish them. So they told us we could order something each for free. Ordered a beer, it was PISS WARM, SKUNKY, TASTED SO BAD AND OLD. We literally left, and ended up both of us puking at home with NO ALCOHOL IN OUR SYSTEMS BUT A FEW TASTES. It literally made us sick. Be careful. Highly doubt their licquor is up to par also, tastes very syrupy and cheap. Probably knock off brands, as well as the mold infested soda dispenser. Not to mention beers piss warm. Cute little bar. Went with a friend for ladies night and enjoyed the plentiful nachos as a free appetizer with the purchase of $6 drink (basically the 2 beers I was going to order anyways). Then ordered a buffalo chicken calzone to take home since the nachos and beer filled me up, and it was delicious! Took a long time to come out, but I know the kitchen comes from blue jeans as well, so two restaurants running off one kitchen-pretty expected time wise. Lots of beer selections available, and the bartender was a sweet girl. Could have used maybe one other bartender as the night got busier! Went here for Monday night football, there was a total of 15 people there and I had to wait 25 minutes for 2 sliders and some fries. Pretty much inexcusable in my book. I've been to the loft numerous times. I love their burgers. The night life is amazing on a tuesday night is karaoke, thursday night DJ and dancing it gets packed by 11:00 11:30 on both night. They have good bartenders and DJs. read more

Decent selection of beers and comfortable environment. There were very few people there at dinnertime, but I'm told it gets busier later in the evening. The bartender was friendly. The food comes from the restaurant next door, but it's delivered to you and paid for on your tab, so the experience is seamless. I got a small pizza which was tasty and an excellent value. Two beers with it and my tab was still under $20. Worth checking out and a great place to catch a game. read more

Not sure where to go with this, so I'll give it 3 for now. Been there twice in the last week. Was excited to find a sports bar in my new neighborhood; they now also have a quieter bar and lounge area on the ground floor. Selected half price apps with any alcoholic beverage purchase seems like a great draw. They're owned by the same people as Blue Jeans next door, so the pizza is featured prominently. Night #1 was very good. Downstairs bartender was friendly and attentive. Buffalo chicken rangoons and hummus plate were both very good (and on the half price list). I had the mediterranean chicken wrap and thought it was great; fresh cucumbers, hummus spread, and a nice lemony sauteed chicken breast. My friend had fish and chips, and although he's notoriously hard to please with haddock, he really enjoyed his as well. Night #2 started off promisingly. Fast service at the bar. Apps came right away... then everything fell apart. The stuffed mushrooms were okay, but the nachos are a waste of time. Premade salsa, no meat options, bad chip-to-topping ratio. LONG wait for the bartender to come back and take a dinner order, and another long wait for the food. The chicken parm was average; nothing special for a dish that's hard to screw up. Caesar salad came with sad, wilted romaine. Burger came cooked well past the requested temp and toppings were soggy. Another long wait to cash out while the indifferent bartender chatted with his friends. I'll give it another shot because I like the concept, but results are uneven so far. read more

Me and my sister have gone to the loft a few times but never had such an awful expierence as we did the other night . We had therm hold a card for the tab but when ready to pay we asked for the card back so we could split it in cash . the bartenders were very rude and ignored us everytime we flagged themn down for drinks . Once i got home and looked t my online banking i noticed trhey charged my bank card for two transactions . one for 40$ and the other for 35 $ evedn though we paid 35 in cash . they are SKEEEEEZERS!!! f that place . read more

The food here is consistently good. We've been here several times and we always find it satisfying... great ambience, modern, relatively upscale for Worcester. Great martinis! Always good deals for happy hour with a $5 menu from 4:30-6:30. Its not crowded, certainly a hidden gem in Worcester. read more

I love this place. My local moms group has come here for dinner 3 times, downstairs and upstairs, and the service is always outstanding. Everybody in Worcester knows Blue Jeans Pizza is great, but the apps and burgers here are amazing as well. I also love the homemade salsa. 5 stars. read more

This was my friends' and I second time here. The first time we had pretty good service. Wednesday is Ladies Night, which means half off apps and music bingo. My friend even won bingo and got a gift card which she was able to use on her meal. This time however, was a totally different story. Service was absolutely horrible and there were maybe 15 people there including us. Our food took an hour and 45 minutes to come out, and our waitress was hardly sympathetic or accommodating. She checked on us maybe 3x including bringing drinks and refills. She forgot a friend's drink and didn't come back to check up on us when we tried to flag her down. Turns out the food was slow because "tickets got lost in the kitchen next door" but a larger party that had arrived an hour after us got their food at the same time as us ?????? To top it all off, she completely screwed up the bill and told us it was because she "didn't charge us for a few drinks since she forgot them" but she never offered a discount off the entire bill or any free meals. One of our friends won the bingo TWICE, and instead of a gift card was given 2 vouchers that she has to present BEFORE ordering--meaning she couldn't use them that night?? Wouldn't this be something they should disclose before beginning the game of bingo? We will not be returning as we were completely turned off by Loft. Not to mention the music is so loud you can barely talk to people. read more

This restaurant was the worst experience of my life!! Steve (the owner) cursed at and belittled an employee in front of all customers. It was completely unprofessional and unwelcoming. I felt extremely uncomfortable. Many people ended up leaving the restaurant and refused to give them business. Awful. Wait time was too long. My chicken parmesan while good the sauce had no flavor and it was watery. My wife ordered the taco salad didn't like and she got a house salad instead. When I got the bill the still charged me for the taco salad and when I mentioned it he returned with a new bill that removed the house salad and not the taco salad. Well I went to the Loft on a Friday night the other day and I have to say it was my first and last time going and I will tell the community why: 1) Food wait was long. We ordered fried mozzarella sticks and a shrimp salad and it took 45 minutes to receive the food. The place was not terribly crowded and when we received the food it was cold, which means that the service was not overly attentive which segways to my next issue. 2) Service: During the long food wait, the bar staff never checked with us if we wanted any additional drinks, or offered any water. They would just stop by once in a while stating the food was coming. When the food did arrive they never checked to see how did we like it until we proactively complained about it. 3) Not great customer service. The shrimp salad only had five shrimp on it which is not enough for something that size. It was mentioned to the bar staff Anthony and not only did he acknowledge that was the case, but laughed at us bringing it up as if it was a joke. The customer should be treated better than being laughed at or ignored. Additional shrimp should be offered immediately or a reduction to the overall bill just to make piece with the situation. Not mockery or laughter. One instance of mockery was Anthony stating that he can cut the shrimp into small pieces and therefore we would get more shrimp. 4) Not great food quality. Nothing to write home about for a 45 minute wait. I was better off cooking the stuff at home, at least there would be more than five shrimps on my dish. 5) No outdoor seating? Umm why is there not any? Overall disappointed by the bar staff and not having the adequate skills to service customers like other high end bars do. They need more training and even building small talk communication skills so people can stay and buy more beer. I can open a can of beer so maybe I should be part of the bar staff. Should be more than that but that's all I saw there. SMH. read more

This place is decent for what it is. Caters to the college-age crowd or slightly older. Has some excellent promos- half priced apps during local sports games (which is pretty much every night. I recommend the boneless tenders w sauce of your choice). Wednesdays is ladies night- free app for the females w drink purchase. Tonight I ate here for dinner w my bf bc we had a coupon for a free meal. I made a bad decision to go with the baked haddock - restaurants either serve fresh fish or previously frozen and there's a HUGE difference in taste. Those of you who know, KNOW. The latter tastes overcooked and fishy and the fresh tastes succulent and mild. I always feel like a snot asking the server if they serve "fresh" fish or previously frozen but it makes or breaks the enjoyment of the meal so I'm asking. The other thing that was a little annoying is that the maple glaze on my side of carrots was so abundant that it ran on to everything else on the plate...I'm sure the restaurant owns ramekins but just a guess. Maybe I'm nitpicking but, already barely edible haddock surrounded by maple glaze just isnt all that appetizing to me. Althought I wouldn't return for an entrée, this place is still okay for drinks and an app. Trivia night too on Tuesdays if you're in to that sort of thing. read more

Went to this bar for the first time, last night, oh man. This is by far the worst bar in worcester. Not only was the service horrible, the bouncers were equally horrible. I watched as they tossed a person down the flight of stairs for no reason. The service took about 20 minutes to get one drink (and it wasn't even that crowded). This bar should be closed down immediately. I can't believe the stuff I saw there, including a bartender dropping the ICE SCOOP on the ground and then picking it back up and placing it right back in the ice. DON'T go to this bar. Ate at Loft 266 today for lunch. There was not one else in the restaurant for the duration of our lunch, which should have been a sign. The only server there was not at all friendly. When I asked for a different drink as my soda was flat, she gave me attitude. When we asked if our burritos were supposed to be cold she was rude and reluctantly took them away to heat them up. I asked if she was annoyed that we were complaining and she nodded yes. We asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and were told there wasn't anyone available. Will not go back! read more
