Sadly disappointed with Logan's. Our server, Annie, was very sweet and on top of things, but we did see a lot of other servers just standing around and talking. Our food took a bit to come out, but the wait time wasn't awful. Once the food came out my bacon and cheese burger had half a piece of bacon on it, the cheese was shredded cheese instead of a normal slice of cheese and not even well melted, all of our regular fries tasted like they were just warmed up in a microwave but still very cold, my wife's sweet potato fries were burnt to a crisp, like black, and my grandfather-in-law's entire meal was cold, and he didn't even get his asparagus at first. My mother-in-law's steak was well done even though she asked for medium, and it was far less than overwhelming with the seasoning. The only thing we really enjoyed were the hot rolls. This is our second bad experience in a row with food here. After coming here for several years we won't be going back. read more

Because Texas Roadhouse is always packed, service at Outback is mediocre, and Longhorn is on the other side of town I had been to Logan's several times; the service good to excellent and the food very good. But, never again ! My latest visit, I was seated, order taken, and drink delivered promptly; but then they forgot about me. THE RESTAURANT WAS NOT BUSY. I waited, and waited, and waited for my fo. I finally asked a server, not the one that took my order, about my meal. I was soon brought a cold steak and a cold potato; and I never got my salad. I guess I'll be driving across town to Longhorn. So, thought I'd give Logan's another chance - another disappointment - was seated, waited about 5 minutes, no server. The hostess was seating a couple at an adjacent table; I got her attention and advised she must have seated me at a table with no assigned server - she assured me "he'll be right over". I waited another 5 minutes - still no server, the couple at the adjacent table had not been waited on either, and I noticed another table that they had drinks but frustration was very evident. That table stopped a server, (not theirs), and said they had been waiting, pointed at me and said "he's been waiting". The server looked at us like "what am I supposed to do about it?" I left and went to Outback. There are good attentive and responsive servers at the Fredericksburg Logan's, especially Any on Wednesday nights, but unfortunately the prevailing culture at the Fredericksburg Logan's is a total lack of customer service. Enjoyed dinner here last night for the first time as I'm from MD. I thought it went good. Promptly seated by the fire place. Our server was very nice. If I could give it no stars I would. This restaurant is well past it's prime and is in dire need of a deep cleaning and some paint. Our booth had a grease film on all surfaces, food crumbs and dust on the windowsill, food splatter on the blinds, etc., etc,. etc. The peanut bucket was half full and half of that was just shells, ketchup bottle was empty and so was the one from the adjoining table, silverware was dirty, and on and on. Staying nearby and thought I'd check it out. While the food and service were okay, I did have a coupe of issues. I ordered the surf no and turf along with a beer. The waitress brought some rolls and a glass of water and said she'd be right back with my beer. Five minutes later she came back and asked if I had Cotten my beer? She then said somebody else must have grabbed it and wipe the for another. When the food arrived the steak was cooked as I wanted it, the potato was hot but the grilled shrimps had apparently been put in the ice box while the steak cooked! read more

We had a great service, loved the attention she gave to us! However, I really think their "filet mignon" isn't that cut at all. Mine was cooked medium rare and was very tough. With a true filet, it would be very tender. I believe they're serving a a different cut and charging for filet mignon. read more

My daughter and I came into this location around 3:30ish to be met at the door by a few people waiting to be sat. We were greeted by a perky and quick server by the name of Mernie. Within minutes she had sat a party of 8 sat along with 4 other tables grabbed drinks and started appetizers before the next shift started rolling in the door. Well, my family has never been to such a disappointing and inedible restaurant. To start off, the foods appearance was horrendous. You could literally see that the fries, simple fries, were filled with grease. Secondly, the asparagus was either over cooked or undercooked and had a terrible taste due to potentially cooking them on a used grill. Thirdly, the "chopped steak" was a burger patty!! This place has gone downhill *tremendously*. When being shown to our table, we passed a significant number of dirty tables in need of clearing. The hostess couldn't even seat us at the table she was told to because it too was dirty. Upon opening my silverware, there was what appeared to be dried up cheese remnants clearly visible on the first fork and some other unknown substance on the handle of the second. My entrée came out wrong the first time and although it was correct the second time, I found a hair just a few bites in. Very displeased in Logans. We've been here plenty of times and tonight's visit was unlike any other visit. We ordered a kids meal for my 2 year old literally the minute we sat down and it came out after everyone else's meals had already been sat on the table and her meal was ice cold on top of that which means it had been completely forgotten about. I'm also pregnant and ordered a medium filet for my meal which came out rare. I asked them to take it back and send another which they just recooked the one they gave me and it came out well and pretty close to being burnt. The manager came over and asked if everything is ok and we explained the issues and again nothing was fixed. Then the bill came and unsurprisingly there wasn't a thing adjusted. Fast seating, friendly and funny wait staff, and most of the entrees were nice. I ordered the bone-in ribeye-flavorful, but lacked essential ingredients like oh---salt. Not under salted. Omitted. A shake or two later, I was happy enough. Brisket nachos? A salt lick. Blech.Fried pickles were just okay. Baby back ribs were really good. My dad and my daughter had them, so I sampled. been to a Logan's once before in virginia beach...but never reviewed it. we were in fredericksburg & king george for the day. stopped here for lunch before we starved. i held this place in high regard from our very first visit to a Logan's...so i was excited to slice into a steak and enjoy it. i was a bit disappointed this time around. ordered 16oz ribeye (to share): medium. -- got it cooked medium well -- which sadly DID kill this meat. and the seasonings on the meat were missing. i could taste the charcoal or grill bits on the meat though. blah. the Logan sirloin (to share for kids): medium. -- got it cooked medium well -- which again, did kill the meat and made it a bit dry & tough. sides: sauteed mushrooms --they were good, button mushrooms, browned, simple. mac & cheese --cheesey, mac wasn't overcooked, it was decent. french fries --i don't like the lime seasoning they put on it, BLAH! rockin' onion petals -- they were okay, tender onion, crispy outside, but no flavor. bread & butter: these were good, although i didn't enjoy the whipped butter too much. maybe if they offered a flavored butter. but the bread was good to use to soak up any steak juices LoL. service was a bit slow at the front and at our table. our server was soft spoken, though she did refill drinks and bread quickly. i don't mind the peanut shells on the floor, i like the music jukebox that you can add music to the playlist to listen to in the whole restaurant. read more

I think it's funny that this was the only place without a wait. We decided to go in and get food. The mushrooms are great and tasted crispy and good. The chicken wasn't that great; its just regular. First and last time I will visit this establishment. The service was excellent! Wish that I could say the same thing about the food. We ordered an appetizer sampler which came with potato skins, cheese sticks, and wings. The wings were small and greasy, cheese sticks tasted like cardboard and the marinara was watered down. We thought, the steak has to be better being that it is a steakhouse. Nope, they were out of prime rib and the steaks we received were not seasoned at all. My wife and I ate here on a Saturday night. Service was just barely adequate. Wait staff never checked and plates piled up on the table and never removed. First time I've been to this restaurant. The server, Marnie, was excellent: observant, polite, even funny. She was able to handle the orders of our 14 person group with ease! She is definitely 5 Stars! The food, on the other hand, rates much, much lower. Here are some comments: 1. The free peanuts were about equal parts shelled peanuts and peanut shells. Someone on staff needs to occasionally 'strain out' the shells. Other places, such as Five Guys must do that, because I've rarely encountered a similar situation there. 2. The rolls and butter were good. 3. My cheeseburger was OK, but nothing special. It was accompanied by the standard, not-so-great pre-cut/pre-frozen french fries. Meh. 4. My wife got a plate of three mini-burgers that were so overcooked (she had asked for medium rare) as to have almost been turned into shoe leather. Honestly, having read the Yelp reviews before going here, I was expecting much worse. (We wouldn't have gone at all, except it was a birthday party and we had no input on the location.) Given the range of Yelp ratings -- from 1 star to 5 stars -- it's pretty clear that this national chain is suffering from a lack of effective management, both at the local and national levels. Rating inconsistencies on this scale indicate that no one has their 'eyes on the ball'. We ain't coming back! read more

Came here for lunch with the hubs. Last time we came here was when we visited about 15 years ago. We were seated immediately. Our waitress was very nice. Wow....What a difference in the quality of the food. My husband had the All American cheeseburger which it was just OK and I had the piled high French dip which wasn't piled high and didn't have that much flavor and the bread was stale. The bad news; my 12 0z ribeye steak which looked like a 7 oz steak was cold and way over cooked. my husband and sister got a burger with some kind of fried cheese on it and it was not very good on top of that they both got very ill that night due due that burger. Very low hard chairs and as person dealing with arthritis and walking with cane, completely unacceptable. Went back to host stand and asked for other choices. Manager standing there on phone ignored situation. Girl was busy fixing her hair and chatting with coworker who had just arrived. Finally asked passing server if she could put us in his section. He motioned her to follow him into bar. That's when I got out my phone, called my friends and we decided to go to Texas Roadhouse instead. Today was my third time eating here and I don't think I'll ever go back. Tried something different all 3 times and didn't really enjoy anything other than the rolls and blackberry lemonade. First time I had the ribs and they were so fatty I stopped after 2 bites, today I tried the pulled pork and it huge chunks of fat in it, not sure why the even call it pulled because it was just chunks of pork and fat. The service is great for the most part. All the food is frozen even the garlic bread. The cook does not know how to cook a rare steak. Managed to turn a medium well done steak into a hockey puck. The staff is great, only issue was telling the waitress that the steak was over cooked. She heard us and said okay that is good and walked away. Price is a little on the extreme side. Low quality food in general. Only would come back for a few waitress's. read more
