Had dinner there this evening. Deviled egg appetizer was good. My wife had the fried shrimp, generous portion, not bad. I had the Logan sirloin with a grilled shrimp skewer. The shrimp was tasty but tiny and overcooked, pricey for what you got. The steak was supposed to be medium rare but came medium to well done. Sent it back and was promised another, but even though the restaurant was nearly empty it took so long to come out my wife has finished her dinner before my meal had come. The second steak was medium rare but so tough it was like trying to cut shoe leather. Ate what little I could then gave up, paid the bill and left. I tried this restaurant in spite of all of the terrible reviews about the service. All of them are true! My family visited this Logan's Roadhouse on a Saturday afternoon, the place seemed a bit empty. So I figured the service would be decent. WRONG! Although there were plenty of available servers just lounging around, our server seemed to have forgotten almost every thing that we ordered. We had to ask him twice for everything, even though he wrote it down. He even forgot my sons meal! My son ate the bread and butter. He came to check on our table several times and didn't seem to notice that my sons corn dog hadn't been served, until my husband told him to take it off of the bill. Let me tell you something... this is gonna start as a bad review but it's actually a great review. When we came here tonight it was my first time being not only did half of our food come out late after we got the first half (at least ten minutes(the steak came out before salads)) but that wasn't even a big issue as I work in customer service as well so I can understand confusions in the kitchen. But not only that our server quit and no one not even the manager came to help or to tell us what was going on besides one person and her name is Sarah. She is the bartender there and if it was for her I would be giving a two star review. The food was amazing when we got it and when Sarah was helping us it turned how I viewed this place around. Her excellent serving and friendly attitude is what makes me excited to come back again. It turned this view to over five stars if I could. This woman deserves a promotion and a raise. She was so amazing I honestly couldn't put it in words. I believe she deserves some recognition for all the hard work she's doing. I didn't need a manager because she was solving everything for us. It was a very disappointing meal. The burger was dry and over cooked, and the fries were room-temp and tasted a bit old. Someone else at my table ordered ribs and the ribs were extremely dry. No one really enjoyed their food. I gave 2 stars because the side salads were very generous. This place needs to get rid of their chef and hire a new one. My daughter, my two young grandsons and I went here on a Saturday afternoon. First we were not offered peanuts which pretty much is the standard. We had to wait 30 minutes for our food to be delivered and when we got it the food was cold. My daughter ordered a chicken sandwich with tomato and lettuce sand nothing else. Awful, just plain awful! It's my fault. I've seen the reviews and still decide to eat at Logan's. It's my first time going to this restaurant. I was very very hungry and I was close to this place. I ordered their signature Logan's steak and it is truly the worst steak I've eaten in my entire life! It was bland, dry, tough!!!! It was really gross.... and the Caesar salad was old and dead. One word for this establishment, HORRENDOUS! So while visiting Virginia my friend tells my how great this place is and how we need to go here no matter what, oh boy this place a disappointment. The first thing I notice is the peanuts on the floor and if I was with a smaller group I would have walked out based on that alone, but my friends were determined to eat and said that is just the way it is here for whatever reason, is that even sanitary? Secondly we get seated at a table without any sign of a waitress for a solid 10 minutes. Now after the waitress finally acknowledges us she says Hi and introduces her self starts taking drink orders seams like protocol except for the fact on a table of 8 after taking the 4th persons order she stops goes to help another table right next to us and comes back a couple minutes later to finish taking drink orders, does this make any sense???? Some little things I noticed they brought out our bread and butter before even bringing the table napkins, utensils or plates to put the bread on. In addition since free peanuts is longans thing, why would you leave our table with a bucket full of empty peanut shells? Sometimes its the little things that need attention from the restaurant it self. Can I just point out this all occurred within the first 20 minutes here, that is all it took to experience some of the most HORRENDOUS customer service ever! After asking to see the manager twice she finally came out, she offered an apology and changed our server who was super attentive only because we had already complaint. However, by the time this happened I didn't care who was serving us I just wanted the meal to be over so I could leave this terrible restaurant. On top of the the food was nothing awesome, it was good but nothing special that I could find at a cleaner restaurant with better customer service. All in all don't even bother!!! Been living in the area for a year, but never tried the place. Received a gift card, so I jumped on Yelp to see what others were saying, and the extremely mixed reviews did help lower expectations. This said, the total experience was better than expected (but, again, we weren't expecting much). The Good: There was no wait at 8pm on a Saturday. This also helped to lower our expectations, and although the dining room was quite cold, it was clean. and, yes, there are peanut shells on the floor, as there SHOULD be in a steakhouse! Just good My son and I had steak (teriyaki and a rib eye). Because the reviews all seemed to indicate the steak was overcooked and leather-like, I was going to pass on steak, but it's a steakhouse! We ordered them both medium rare, and hoped they would not be cooked beyond medium (which is still overcooked IMHO). The steaks were, in fact, medium when the arrived. My son is 13 and will eat anything... He said the teriyaki steak was "awesome." I tried it, and my own ribeye and found them both chewy and devoid of any real flavor. To be fair, I'm quite picky about steak, and have not found a chain restaurant yet that can properly cook one, so I'd say if you like chain steakhouse steaks, you'll probably like this one, too. Hot, fresh. Ok The bad: my baked potato was luke warm, and so was my daughter's. I love me some steamy baked potato, so this was a disappointment. My wife had the baked sweet potato (butter only, no cinnamon), and said it was hot and really good. We didn't order dessert, but did have a beer and house margarita. The bottled beer was cold and served in an iced mug, but the margarita was the biggest disappointment of the evening... Steer clear of this one! All in all, a pretty average chain steakhouse. Would I rather have my wife's perfectly marinated steak, grilled to perfection by yours truly? Absolutely! Not good. The food was cold and overly salted. I mean EVERYTHING was salty. The broccoli had a craft single thrown on top and it looked like it sat under a heat lamp for fifteen minutes. Gross. The chicken fingers were tiny and mostly breaking. The fries were soggy and cold. And it tasted like someone threw salt on everything. The drinks are 90% mix 5% ice and 5% alcohol. They were also overly sweet and not good. The first beer we ordered they were actually out of and had to retake our orders. Not impressed. For dessert we ordered the banana cream pie. It was the worst banana cream pie I've ever had. It was basically overly sweated banana mouse on crumpled gram crackers with a pile of whip cream and caramel drizzle on top. Disgusting. Great menu and prices. Loved the selections! The ROLLS...yyuummyylicious! I had a 6 oz. steak with baked potato and salad. My buddy had his beef tips with baked potato and salad. Everything was seasoned well. Aaron kept our glasses full and continued to check on us. Unfortunately, we missed the lighting of the fireplace but..that was okay. Will definitely go back again! A lot of people don't seem to realize that the peanuts on the floor are part of the deal; it's a weird but fun thing they let you do. It took some getting used to the first time I went but it brings out the inner rebel in you. Even though we tend to go around dinner time we never experience a wait. Our latest waitress was so sweet, chatting with us about the food and she made sure our drinks were always full. All of our food was delicious. The warm buttery rolls were perfect. I got baby back ribs, a loaded sweet potato, mac & cheese, and a pina colada; all of these were great! My husband got a burger with sweet potato fries and a beer; he enjoyed them all. I ended up filling up too much on the peanuts so I didn't get to try the dessert but they all looked great. Seriously give this place a try. For meals my wife ordered the sliders, daughter had shrimp skewers and I had the buttermilk fried chicken. Buttermilk chicken was moist, seasoned, and had a perfect coating. The deep fried mushrooms were crisp. The shrimp skewers tasty and the sliders were devoured. Let's face it, "gourmet" it's not. Great bar food on a football Sunday. All items came out at once. Logan's manager Carlos was very apologetic and he addressed the problem we had and he asked if we would give them another try. Today we went to Logans for lunch, the difference was amazing. My husband and I had Ribeye steak, we have never had their steak and these were great. We also got the mushroom appetizer which was very good. Logans has redeemed itself as far as our family goes. We also had wonderful, friendly and attentive waiter. If you've never eaten there give it a try and if you have eaten there and had a bad experience give them another try and nothing has changed give them a call let them know so they can fix. read more

When it started raining and the roof sprung a leak in the dining room, they put one of their peanut buckets under it! You know someone is likely eating peanuts out of that same bucket right now. We were really disappointed by the time we left the restaurant. For starters we gave the hostess our name and was told it was a 15 minute wait. That turned out to be 30 mins plus the two family's that came in after us was seated before us. I approached The hostess about that and her response was oh they was already here before you. Which was a lie. I do not understand why we had to wait when there was plenty of empty booths and tables available. The table that we were seated at had been cleared for at least 15 minutes. We had to wait an extra 10 minutes just to have a waitress come take our drink order. Once we place the order for food that took another 30 minutes. The food wasn't as good as usual. After we got done eating the waitress took forever to bring us our check. I don't really understand why their service was so slow this time because even though it was Mother's Day it really wasn't that busy in the restaurant. It just seemed very unorganized. Maybe if the manager would've took control and been more involved in taking care of the customers things wouldn't have turned out so unorganized and the service would've been so poor. Definitely need better hostesses instead of the two girls that were seating the customers on Sunday ( Mother's Day). No plans on coming back anytime soon. A 2 hr lunch is a bit too much. read more

Only thing I don't recommend os getting any alcoholic beverages. Their mixed drinks are bland, overpriced, and hardly have ANY alcohol. I mean a blue motorcycle has 4 types of liquor in them and at Logan's didn't taste any of it and was not tipsy AT ALL.
