This was my first visit to a Logan's Roadhouse and it was during Veteran's Day when they had some nice offers for Veterans. My food was alright and I really did appreciate the deal they had for Vets but if I'm going to be honest I have to say Outback Steak did a far better job. To be balanced I think Outback is overall a nicer and more expensive restaurant than Logan's though so it probably isn't a fair comparison. I would say Texas Roadhouse is more comparable to Outback Steakhouse but BOTH Logan's Roadhouse and Outback put out better food than I've ever had at Texas Roadhouse and I've eaten at many Texas Roadhouse locations all over and so far I've never been impressed unfortunately. So overall Logan's seems to offer some good food at a good value. read more

A solo diner for the evening I was seated as the dinner rush had not begun. I waited several minutes before I was greeted by my server. She didn't take my order for several trips back and forth from the table. I ordered a draft beer that was delivered quickly but was warm. Then a replacement that was the same temp so I ask for a glass of ice. Server apologized but didn't offer to change it again or get me something else. Listen, I have been too many small town restaurants that give terrible reviews for the most innocuous bullshit. Like the review will be one or two stars and they'll say the food was good but the server was terrible. That doesn't deserve a one or a two star. So while I'm in Hattiesburg, I went to Logan's roadhouse which I've been too many of these restaurants before and this restaurant deserves a much higher rating. The steak was perfectly cooked so was the potato and salad was great. The staff was fantastic. Now I sat at the bar this time. But the entire experience was good. What I hate seeing is people being overly critical for restaurants. I mean, I came into here seeing a 3.5 rating. Normally I wouldn't go there, but I said what the hell why not? I'm not rating this place like a Ruth Chris or Morton's steakhouse or a two or three star Michelin restaurant. I'm rating it for what it is and tonight it was five stars. Although our server was very good at her job, the food they served us was horrible. My grilled shrimp were so burnt that any part of the salmon it touch tasted burnt. My broccoli was extra mushy. It basically could have been mashed into baby food. Not to mention everything was lukewarm at best. I probably won't be coming back here. read more

As a steak fanatic i must say the one i came for at this location was unfortunately disappointing. I ordered the Logan steak medium rare with a baked potato and corn. Steak came out rare with way too much pink. The sides were ok and tasty. The server was nice and did her best considering it was a busy Saturday night however she only checked on us three times and our drinks remained empty for the most part. Great service. Excellent steak!! I ordered the 12 ounce ribeye medium rare. It was cooked perfectly. Had great marbling. The server was super sweet and knew a lot about the types of meat cuts. After trying to decide what we wanted we ended up ordering French dips. When the sandwiches came out, we were told they ran out of au jus. This would be something you let the customer know before preparing. Otherwise it's a dry sandwich, which it was. I ate half and gave up. One of my daughters ordered a steak with loaded sweet potato when her steak came out, they said they ran out of sweet potatoes and just decided to bring her sweet potato fries. We were seated right away- there was only one other party in our seating area and about five tables with customers in the whole restaurant. Our waitress didn't come to the table for about 10 minutes which should've been our queue to leave. 35 minutes after placing our order, food came out - burger and ribs were cold, steak and burger were ordered medium, came out well done. One of us ordered waffle fries, but got regular fries and the server said they were out of waffle fries (but failed to tell us or offer an alternate before bring the plate out). Probably the worst experience we ever had. Walked in with only two other tables taken. Server took 10 mins to even come ask what we wanted to drink. They were all eating donuts and using their cell phones. Finally ordered and waited another 50 mins for our food... only for the server to bring us our check. Then she said wait.. you didn't get your food. We waited another 10 mins to receive reheated up food. We had to ask for napkins, refills, you name it. My spouse and I both ordered the onion brewski sirloin cooked medium. It came out without the fried onions on top which our waitress recognized but didn't comment on or attempt to fix until we asked her to (guess she hoped we would not notice). The sauce that came on it was terrible and the steaks were both well done. Not only were they extremely overcooked, but they had a very odd color like a purple gray. They honestly tasted like they had been heated up in the microwave. The sides were not great either. We had fries (no flavor tasted like frozen ones), mac n cheese (up charge for them and also not good), Ceasar salad (not bad), and mashed potatoes (meh). For dinner he ordered a ribeye and 1/3 of the steak was pure fat and the steak was so thin it looked more like fajita strips.He asked the waitress if the side order of French Fries were steak fries, because if not he would have ordered a Baked Potato, she said they were steak fries, but he got regular fries instead of steak fries. This place was dead on a Sunday evening. We drove past a couple steakhouses which had tons of people waiting outside, but not this place. In the area where we sat, there was maybe 1 or 2 other customers. With that said, service was quick, but not perfect. They brought out drinks for another waitress/table. The food wasn't bad nor was it amazing. It was what you would expect for a chain roadhouse. I had a ribeye steak which was cooked correctly inside, but the exterior taste wasn't anything special.
