Com ga. Fried chicken and rice
    Tina T.

Tried this spot after seeing an advertisement online for their fried chicken and rice plate. The promotion was only 11$ for a plate. The chicken was crispy just as expected. It also came with their dipping sauce, red rice and a fried egg. They also give you a side of broth. I was not a fan of their rice. Not sure if it was just that night or if it's how their rice is always cooked, but the rice was on the drier side so I had pour soup on my rice or else it was too dry. Service was okay. I would give them another try. Maybe for their noodle soup dishes.

I think this place is a hidden gem. I've been obsessed with Banh Mi Chao and they deliver so well. Located in the same plaza as OC & Lau, there's plenty of parking in the plaza because the plaza is quite big. their under $2 herbal tea is awesome too. Their Bo Kho is a comfort food too. It's a perfect dish for winter time or rainy season. You get to choose if you want to get noodle or bread as your carbs. Staff r friendly & the food came out pretty quick. There was not a lot of people when I came, but the size of the restaurant is good enough and good vibe!

Christmas lunch - party of 10

Loi's Kitchen is a hidden gem!!! Our group had Christmas lunch here yesterday, and luckily, we came right before the rush. Loi's was able to accommodate our large group over two tables - one of their center tables, and a booth. Service was prompt and attentive - our awesome waitress checked in on us a few times, despite how packed the place was getting as we headed into lunch hour on Christmas Day. Decor was cute - they had a Christmas tree up, restaurant was kept clean, and it was amusing to see they have some travel agency ad as placemats lol. I opted for the Hu Tieu Bo Kho, while the rest of the group ordered everything from the Bun Mam, to the Banh Mi Chao, Goi Salad, and Banh Canh Tom Cua. Hu Tieu Bo Kho is my favorite dish to get at most Vietnamese restaurants, if they don't have Pho, BBH or Bun Rieu (which this spot doesn't offer) - and the waitress read my mind when she told me their beef stew is very tender. The HTBK was awesome! You get a huge serving, with good topping/meat to noodle ratio. The broth was thick, flavorful and hearty. Each bite of the meat was juicy, tender, and delicious. This dish alone is something that will bring me back here in the future. One of the best HTBK I've had in the Orange County area. Friend picked Banh Mi Chao - which took a bit longer to come out from the kitchen, but that was fine - and I was happy to wait since my HTBK was hot. It's served on a sizzling plate and smelled delicious. I tried a bit of the meatball and pate - which was awesome - the pate literally melts in your mouth. The rest of the group enjoyed their food too - but I didn't manage to snap any photos since we had to split between the center table and booth due to our group size. Overall a great visit - kudos to the waitstaff for managing a full house on a busy holiday. Our booth was right next to the kitchen, so I was able to hear a lot of their communications with each other calling out orders or requests from different tables. Parking can get messy in this plaza - it's packed with other seemingly popular businesses, and I think we lucked out yesterday simply because we came a bit earlier than lunch hour, and because it was Christmas - so a few of the neighboring businesses were closed. Regardless, this is my new favorite spot for Hu Tieu Bo Kho - and I definitely plan on returning in the future!

Everyone comes here for the Bánh Hỏi Heo Quay, and I can see why! The portions are quite large and high quality for the price. I do love Banh Hoi normally, but this really hit the spot. The pork belly was generously fatty without being overly greasy. It does include the skin, which adds a layer of crispiness and more flavor! We also got some of the #40 scallops to share, and these were a lot smaller than advertised. They were flavorful and spicy. My friend loved these! Tasty, but I wouldn't order it again personally.

This place is known for their crispy pork belly, but I fell in love with their Bun Rieu. It was both super flavorful but also clean-tasting. The crab meatballs were meaty and seafoody, the broth was warming, and the veggies brought a nice, crunchy texture. The pork belly is good, but a little on the stinkier side that I do not prefer. Don't sleep on their other dishes here!

A group of pickleball friends hanging out and have lunch after playing games in the morning. Lunch at Garden Grove for Vietnamese food is rare to me, so I joined with my friends. Service is good considering only two handling the front of the restaurant. Lou's Kitchen is a traditional eatery that offers authentic Vietnamese dishes. I ordered Kho Ha Gioi with mixed noodles. I like the ingredients and sauce. And we shared Banh bot chien which is fried rice cake with eggs! It tastes good. Most people ordered Banh mi chao, which is also like a staple and comfort dish, Pretty filling with eggs, filet mignon (okay), pate, baguette. Overall the price to performance is definitely there. It's comfy, familiar vibe and just like what you expect from Vietnamese eatery.

Amazing food, great price and you get a discount if you pay in cash. The ambiance was pretty modern and clean and decent service

Came here to try their Golden Crispy Chicken (Cơm Gà Xối Mỡ) and Bò Né, and honestly it was a solid experience. The crispy chicken was really good. The skin was nicely fried and crunchy, while the meat inside stayed juicy, not dry at all. Served with hot rice and a sunny-side-up egg, plus soup on the side, which helped balance everything out. The bò né came out sizzling on a hot plate. Beef was tender, eggs cooked just right, and the flavors were comforting and very classic Vietnamese-style bò né. Definitely best eaten fresh while it's still hot. Portions were filling and the price was reasonable. I paid $10.99 during the promotion and felt it was worth it for the quality and amount of food. Overall, a good spot if you're craving Vietnamese comfort food. I'd recommend dining in for the best experience. Would come back to try more items on the menu.

Came for the first time after seeing their golden crispy chicken tomato rice plate poster. Came for dinner Sunday night got seated right away, just average service but nonetheless the plate was so good. I also loved their Thai tea, the tea flavor was very strong which i love it like that. I hope this deal isn't limited time because I'll definitely be back for it!

A Vietnamese resto with a casual and light vibe. The place was a little busy when we came but the staff were diligent and able to get our orders right away. We tried the Banh mi chao, Banh Hoi Heo Quay, Garlic Cajun fries and the Iced tamarind and peanut drink. The Banh mi chao is up to par - the filet mignon came in bite-sized pieces. The Banh Hoi was good, the pork skin was very crispy and the meat was tender, it is paired with noodles and veggies and the portion was enough for 2 people. The garlic fries is well-seasoned and crispy. The iced tamarind and peanut is a refreshing drink/dessert. It was a little bit sweet for my liking but overall a nice novelty for my palate.

We got the garlic Cajun fries, popcorn chicken, Sizzling plate, the egg noodle dish, the pork vermicelli plate. Yum!

Came here today for Mother's Day, great service, food came out pretty quickly. Everything we got tasted fresh and flavorful. Everyone enjoyed the meal!

This restaurant feels homey and classic Vietnamese in the way that the food comes out hot and staff are running around doing multiple things at once so service is not great. I got the banh canh tom cua and it was delicious. Just a word of caution: the soup dishes come out so hot. Be careful. The soup was appropriate portion, however, not a lot of toppings (crab, mushroom). Food doesn't come out all at once so expect a wait in between if you're with others. My mom got the Mi Nam Vang (with broth and mi) and she enjoyed her dish quite a bit. Her soup had a lot of meats and even a bone. My mom is a traditional elder Vietnamese and she approved.

The garlic noodle with shaken beef is really good. However, there is a rubber band in garlic noodle

We liked everything! - garlic chicken wings: 8/10- paired well with the sauce, though I think it would also taste really good with a side of white rice. Very garlicky and tasty! - crab congee: 9/10- tasted very buttery once mixed, very Vietnamese fusion but I really enjoyed it and my boyfriend (who grew up eating congee) said this might be the best congee he's ever had! It is very unique in terms of flavor in my opinion - ribeye garlic noodles: 8/10 meat was cooked well and it was a solid dish! - lychee lemonade: 10/10 so worth it!! It is free refills and super refreshing. If you like lychee you'll like this drink! Would recommend. Overall we had such a great experience and can't wait to come back!

It's arugula with candied walnuts, and under is burrata with Asian pear. The carne asada tostada is a very small plate, but seems more of an appetizer. Great flavor for a small dish. Saltado with Filet Mignon and Garlic Noodles were very delicious, especially the chewy and soft noodles. The meat is very tender, the fries ok, a bit overcooked. Great place for family sharing. The Saltado is $25 and a big portion.

My personal favorites were the pizza and the tomahawk. The burrata is extremely fresh, and the pizza holds up well with all the toppings on top of a crispy thin crust. This paired well with the heavier tomahawk as our main protein choice. The pork cooked perfectly but was maybe a bit on the fattier side (the fennel salad and the pumpkin puree definitely helped cut that). Our server was attentive and always quickly refilled our water and offered us more drinks. It was well priced with heavy chunks of duck. I wish it was a little more saucy though. It reminded me of Chinese roast duck flavors in a pasta. The mala lamb wasn't very mala even with the mala honey but it was very yummy. The lamb was ground and soft so it didn't really have a bite to it and there was some kind of white sauce at the bottom of the pizza which wasn't cream but almost like the white sauce in Mediterranean lamb platters. The cod roe pasta didn't have very strong crab flavor but it was super creamy with the cheese on top and the flavors were light and delicate. My only complaint was the smaller portion. Highly recommend trying the duck ragu! It had hints of sweetness and a nice flavor of duck if you like duck. All the dishes were also around 20-25 dollars which is extremely well priced especially the pizza. Service and ambiance is also always top tier here.

Sona Fusion Kitchen!…read more Located in a shopping plaza that both has businesses that have been there for ages, but has more switch over businesses. Currently I have seen the restaurants that pop up in this location, ive seen it at least 6 different things. I will say Sona is the first one that actually caught my eye to try, and I am super happy that I decided to come here during my lunch break. The pictures I uploaded are just the few other times I have come here. As someone said it best in one of the reviews, a Vox dupe. One thing they do have over Vox kitchen, most times there is no wait, at least the few times I have gone. There is plenty of parking, never had an issue. They are also open late which to get this kind of food at that late or early times, thats a damn treat! Inside always kept clean, the staff that work there are very friendly and on top of things. They checked up on us in a timely matter, cleaned tables as soon as diners left. The food came out pretty quickly too. Here is what I have had: Spicy Shrimp Wontons - These were good but I felt like they could have been better, mind you I had these not too long after they opened, seeing recent reviews it seems like this could have gotten better, I will try these again and update. Regardless they were still good! Lomo Saltado Shaken Fries: Each time I have gotten them has been the filet mignon, why because each time I have had them it has been too good, cooked perfectly for a nice texture, seasoned well that it doesnt over power other things, but more so compliments but uppercuts the tonsil to let you know its got beef with you. Now I have had this with rice and garlic noodles. I recommend going garlic noodles because they are delicious, lots of garlic! You know what compliments garlic very well....STEAK! I have said one thing Vox has on them with this dish, is Vox french fries are still super crispy even with sauce on them. I will say the last time I ordered this dish (last week) each time they have gotten better with the crunch! I will try the other proteins offered in due time! Golden Pear Salad: Delicious! Now I can't tell you if there serving size of this salad is bigger at Vox, but eating the salad totally made me forget about it. I am half lactose...my stomach decides what or when I will react to dairy, but that burrata cheese mixed with everything in the salad, it needs that creamy cheese to hold the sweetness and pepper like from the arugula. I will say I didn't dodge the burrata cheese and luckily it never got me, so huge win win! I also want to say I think its cheaper here than the vox, so its more manageable to always have this to start before the entrees. Signature Vietnamese Pho - Wife ordered this last visit with wagyu brisket, pretty solid bowl of pho. Is it my favorite no, but its better than a lot of others places I have been too. I think it will easily be a hit for tourists going to disneyland that has never tried Pho. In conclusion, Sona Fusion Kitchen has been a place that myself and the wife will crave. It also has been a easy recommendation for any one at work to go try. I know I have a few co-workers that have been multiple times now. For anyone at Disneyland looking for a place to eat, come through! I want all the business to support Sona but at the same time I enjoy not having to wait to be seated! Feast Well Fellow Yelpers! I LOVE THIS PLACE…read more Don't let the simple decor fool you - the chicken here is hands down one of the best hole in the wall locations for chicken that I've been to. Unlike your typical rotisserie or fried chicken, this place roasts their chicken in a large clay pot and the marinade is definitely not something that you can find easily. The smell of the chicken is so inviting on its own but you won't be able to smell it outside of the restaurant - gather some confidence and open that door! We got 1 whole chicken, bot chien, crispy rice, and a side of dry noodles. All of the sides are great - I've tried at least 1 option every time I come back here but my favorite is the dry noodles and crispy rice. Their chicken pairs TOOO WELL with the pickled veggies and their special soy sauce. I like mixing a little salt, pepper and lime in mine to make it extra sour but honestly, the chicken is great even without the sauce. It's a small restaurant and flagging down servers is not difficult but I love that they will come to check in on you pretty often without you putting out any effort. I've been here when it was super busy and when it's a little more free, the servers are nice, friendly & really responsive Pro tip : get more than 1 soy sauce!! Sat down looked over the menu, pretty straightforward. Service was lovely, a little bit of language barrier but good nonetheless. We started with the Bot chien ( crispy rice cake with egg.) She asked if there was pork in the dish and they said no, she can't eat pork. It came out and it looked fantastic, looked like an omelet. I love eggy dishes! This was fantastic, definitely add a sauce like Sambal or Sriracha. We were off to a great start! But we came for the star of the show, Clay jar chicken with dry noodles!!! They set the bowls down and everything looked fantastic and smelled even better! A generous bowl of egg noodles, chicken and a side of broth in case you want to dip or just throw it in the bowl. We got to grubbin and it was instant love at first bite! The chicken was so tender and flavorful. We noticed these little cubes of tasty bits, we didn't know what they were because we didn't see it on the description, she already had a piece, we thought it was some sort of crispy bread crumb bits LOL. We asked the service and come to find out, it was crispy pork called Top Mo. We told them she can't have pork, they took the plate back. After a few minutes they came back. She asked is it a new dish or did you just pick them out. They picked them out. This is where the language barrier came into play. They didn't understand for a bit. I said she can't have pork because of her religion. That's when it clicked! Thank the Lord! Out came a fresh porkless new bowl and she could enjoy with me. They should've given me her previous bowl to go LOL I'm the pork Queen LOL. Overall a fantastic meal and I've been thinking about this meal for awhile. I need a reunion stat!!! Just so many good Vietnamese dishes in the area, it's hard to choose! I will be back!!!

What interesting is the table set up, it was covered with paper for ease to clean. I ordered garlic noodles with prawn, as in the menu, and learnt that the protein can be changed to anything they have (chicken, beef or pork). It is a 10/10, very tasty and the garlic tasted perfect, not too much yet still quite dominant. The lady who served also a sweetheart. I would definitely come back to try their other delicious food.

This establishment is located in a plaza with ample parking. What we got: - Baked clams - my mom and dad like seafood, and they approve - Deep fried calamari - my partner likes calamari, and he approves - Grilled pork spring rolls - pretty good, though I don't think I would get it again because the pork was a bit dry - Salmon belly spring rolls - wow I would definitely get this again next time, even if it's a bit pricey! the salmon belly is so buttery and soft - Grilled filet mignon or pork vermicelli bowl - family friend ordered this since she wasn't too familiar with Viet cuisine; I'd say this is a safe option if you're not used to Vietnamese food - Beef chow fun - the noodles are so crunchy and doesn't soak up the sauce/soup at the bottom too much thankfully so it wasn't too soggy. The veggies were cooked and seasoned well, but I wish there was a bit more beef on this dish Everything was delicious and it's a good restaurant to take my picky parents to if we want to have a nicer sit down family dinner. The restaurant was clean and the service was good!

We went on Friday night and I was surprised that we were seated right away. The service was great and friendly and the restaurant itself felt cozy and high-end. We ordered the garlic parm fries, momonoki chicken wings, and dashi pesto. The garlic parm fries were crispy and fresh and were like the best version of a McDonald's or Potato Corner fry. I could smell the garlic as soon as the fries came to the table but unfortunately, the taste wasn't as strong as I was hoping. Still really delicious, but the high price point means I probably wouldn't order this again. The chicken wings came out next and they were HUGE. They were super juicy inside and the fish sauce glaze was strong and had a nice kick. I appreciated that despite being glazed, the wings were still pretty crispy. The slaw that came on the size was a little heavy on the mayo and had a bright peppery taste. Definitely a nice fresh component to an otherwise heavy meal. Finally, the dashi pesto came out and the udon was perfectly bouncy. The pesto had a subtle seafood flavor and was very herbaceous. Most pesto I'm used to pack more of a sharp, garlicky punch, but this one leaned heavily into the fresh basil which I enjoyed. The scallops on top were also cooked beautifully. I was a bit sad that we received each dish at very different times, the dash pasta coming out much much later than the fries but they did warn us after we placed our order that the kitchen would be very busy so I appreciated the heads up. All in all, I think this is such a fun and classy fusion restaurant and they executed very well.

There are TVs throughout the restaurant playing a variety of sports games. AHI TUNA TARTARE ($15.75) - the dish only came with three chips for the entire dish which was crazy to us. Also, the seaweed salad was an interesting addition. We were not fans of this. 2/5 FRENCH FRIES ($8.40) - they have different seasonings and we chose the Cajun one. We liked that they were skinny fries and they were addicting. I especially liked the spicy aioli dipping sauce. 4.5/5 GARLIC NOODLES SHRIMP ($23.10) - we thought it could've been saltier and used more garlic. The shrimp add-on was $12.60 which was not really worth for 5 pieces of shrimp. They were big pieces of shrimp though although not the easiest to peel. 2.5/5 ANGUS BEEF RIBEYE ($50) - this was cooked well and had good flavor. It came with mushrooms, asparagus, and a dipping sauce that we didn't care for. We would've liked some flaky sea salt on top to add more savoriness. 4/5 For drinks, the aum fashioned ($16) was a standard old fashioned and the heart shaker ($13) was pretty good. They have happy hour 3-7pm Monday to Thursday but unfortunately not on Fridays or the weekend. It's a little alarming that my favorite dish was the fries. This looks like a fun place in the evening so I would come back for a night out.
