The Rachel on marble rye with pastrami!
    Jack C.

I've had great deli sandwiches from NYC to Los Angeles, and this place tops them all! I'm not kidding you. What a creative and dedicated team they have serving up delicious sandwiches in this small Virginia city. I had the Rachel, which usually comes with peppered turkey, but I substituted pastrami. It was juicy and delicious meat. Perfectly seasoned with a sweet and equally tasty slaw topped with perfection in their sauce on toasted marble rye bread. I would be tempted to move here just so I could eat here on a regular basis. It truly lives up to the hype! Here's a link to a YT Short I produced, which you may enjoy. https://youtube.com/shorts/7a-NVtd2b38?feature=share

We got two sandwiches to go from here about a week ago. They are only doing to go orders so this is just about the sandwiches. I had the Turkey Rueben and it Was fantastic. Large serving of meat and great flavor Definitely a great place to pick up lunch.

Excellent food. We stumbled across this gem randomly about a year ago half ago when we were in town for an event. I had to come back and my daughter volunteered to accompany me on the full day trip (including four hours of driving) just to get one of their sandwiches. We enjoyed the Pluto and the BELT as well as some dill macaroni salad. Both were just as delicious as we'd remembered! Not a ton of seating so it gets crowded at times as people wait for their made-to-order sandwiches, but it makes for fun people watching. We can't wait for our next trip to Harrisonburg.

Great sandwich - I had the Hometown with their in house made pastrami - it was a damn good sandwich!!

Such a nice place and such great staff! I came in just a few minutes before their 3 pm closing, mainly because downtown Harrisonburg is a bit of a maze. There are a couple of unexpected side street closures that Apple Maps didn't know about. The young man who took my order was very kind about it. I ordered the Cool Kids Club (pictured) and the Duke. Both sandwiches were excellent, fresh, and piled high. I strongly encourage you to give this place a try. You will not be disappointed.

I haven't been here since 2021 when most things were still shut down. It was a nice change being able to go inside and see the whole place. The workers are really nice and helpful. Their sandwiches are really good and their hoagies are just okay, but it could've been the one I ordered. The Smoben was very surprising and so good!!! They only really have outdoor seating, so come here on a nice day, or order take-out.

The sandwiches were excellent! The staff was great and the food was outstanding. I enjoyed the golden potato salad more than the macaroni salad, but both were good. They have plenty of inside seating, and about four tables outdoors as well. My La was just stupid good, fresh ingredients, xtra crispy bacon, and the bread was untoasted, which I thoroughly enjoyed. This was my first time, but I'll definitely be back!

Great deli in the burg! Try the blt on sourdough. Oh my! My my my. Made we want to sing Lola lo lo lo lo Lola. Tony and family dined here recently. Tony had the aforementioned BLT. spectacular. My wife, Conchita, had the smoked turkey with bacon, my son, Electro, had the Italian hoagie. We ate at the bar with a fine view of Harrisonburg. Service was fast, courteous, and the place was real clean. Don't miss this one. Say Hola to Lola's you won't be disappointed.

Lola Mo's is a small deli sandwich shop located in downtown Harrisonburg. It gives off New York deli vibes. Although small, Lola Mo's bright, modern interior creates a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. The staff as well, with friendly smiles and energetic personalities to match, make this a very pleasant visit. Sandwiches. Oooh where to begin. The menu is extensive. You have a choice from their signature creations or create your own. You can get three different amounts of meat on your sandwich with respective increases in price: 3oz, 6oz and 9oz. I ordered the Lo. It's a London Broil, with sharp cheddar, cucumber, onion, and horseradish mayo on a marbled rye. One bite in and I'm already in love. Flavorful, mouth-watering and filling. 10/10. Would highly recommend coming here for lunch!

    The Reuben

possibly the best reuben i've ever had! the rye bread is hearty, corned beef is tender, sauerkraut is acidic, and the house-made famous sauce tied everything together perfectly. i wish i got a medium instead of a small because the increased ratio of meat to bread would've made this the perfect sandwich! the restaurant has a nice vibe and super friendly staff!

But the public deserves a warning to not waste their hard earned $$. The service from our server was so bad! (Yikes! Not wanting to be flinging that negative energy around, but it was so bad!) Like almost comically bad. A party of 5 and we waited so long just to get a drink on a 97 degree day, 15 minutes at least. Then a very long wait to take our orders. The place was not busy at all. I saw only 2 others being served. After we got food there was a drought of historic levels. A drought that never broke!! Thats right, never got a refill nor nary a drop of water in a fortnight! As dehydration set in and lips cracked, I believe I heard crickets a singin' as we waited and waited. A 12 top came in next to us and boy did they get mad after they waited 15 minutes just to get drinks for their group. Food? Okey-ish. And enough tater tots to feed a small country that really loves bland tater tots. Like, wow, that was a lot of tater tots! If they stuck together we could build something with them. But generosity shows up in odd places. Definitely not in the form of life sustaining water or a single ice cube to stave off the devils furnace blowing outside, but definitely it showed up in tater tots...oh, did I mention the waitress was dang near hostile? Yup, and she stood at the bar ignoring her customers almost the entire time. If she was having a bad day, then I truly hope tomorrow is better for her! But please, for the betterment of the hungry and dehydrated, consider a career change before someone completely desiccates and blows away!

I'm so glad I did because the moment we walked in, I could tell this place would be good. It smelled incredible in there! Also this place was packed, and more and more people kept coming in within the hour of them being closed. You can definitely tell that this is a local favorite, especially for JMU students. I got the seafood pho and was blown away! It was so flavorful and actually tasted phenomenal. I ate every bit of it. In the past I've found Pho to be bland, but not this one! I added a ton of condiments and such to it which made it even better. My husband got a weekend special, I believe it was a pork chop plate and he really enjoyed his dish as well.
