I still remember my first time visiting this place. The drinks and food was AMAZING! After school, my friends and I would hang out here, snacking, drinking, and doing homework. There is plenty of room, so for those who cannot deal with cramped areas, this place is perfect! This place is also very sanitary, for every time I would visit, the tables and floor were squeaky clean.The customer service here was excellent, and the staff here are super friendly! I was aways recognized when I visited, since I came here often, and the staff were always so welcoming. Came here with my fiance after buying new frames from Zoom Optical down the street. When we got here, it was around 4:30 pm and we missed the special $1 tea special that ended at 4 pm and we were 30 minutes too early for the happy hour specials (just our luck). Since I didn't want to get anything, my fiance ordered a cold almond milk tea. This place was cash only, but luckily I had a few dollars with me and paid for his drink (shouldn't it be the man paying for the drinks here?). Service here was average and wait time was typical of any other Lollicup location. Honestly, nothing really wowed me about this experience. To use the only single restroom (which happens to be unisex), you need to get a key from the front. It was kind of clean... well let's say usable. Parking is limited, but we were lucky to find a spot right on the curb in front of this place. Overall, wouldn't go out of my way to come here. If I was in the area again and wanting a milk tea, I may try Tapioca Express right next door. But other than that, nothing really special with this experience. read more

Just went here Sunday night around 8. It was calm and quiet, not dead and deserted. We ordered rose milk tea with boba and a large rose green milk tea with pudding. Used my Lollicup loyalty card and got the rose milk tea free! also ordered calamari and crispy chicken, total bill was about $11. Yum! Tried a various drinks here one being the basic milk tea. You can't go wrong with this drink as it was sweet and not watery. I also got the popcorn chicken with BBQ sauce. The popcorn chicken itself is really good and crispy. Portions are big so do share with a friend. I also got the BBQ sauce to go with it but it didn't really taste like the BBQ sauce that I am use to. It looked quite watery and just overall weird. I'm not sure how long this place has been open, but it's my first time here. It's kind of funny, how tapioca express is right next door. I ordered a jasmine milk green tea and I forgot to ask for more ice. I took a couple of sips and asked for more ice. The girl who helped me put it in a different cup, the kind with a lid..opposed to the ones you need to stab on the top lol. I come here with my aunt all the time when we want to get boba without anyone knowing. There's never any lines and they make the drinks pretty fast. The price here is definitely reasonable (a lot cheaper compared to other places). Highly recommend giving it a try. It's a so-so place. I'm giving it three bc it hasn't exceeded my expectations. I think it's still cash only which aggravates me, tapioca express, a few steps away accepts cards. If you want a sauce, any sauce, it's 50 cents. Again, tapioca express gives it complimentary. There is more room here but I wouldn't come here to study, it gets crowded and loud easily. This is my favorite boba place in the 626. On average, I study here about 3-4 times a week. Why so often? Because they have great food, great drinks, and great staff! Drinks: I almost always order a mango green tea with mix fruit/rainbow jelly with 70% sweetness. It tastes great compared to all the other places I've tried. Aside from that, I would recommend trying the honey green milk tea and Oreo cookie smoothie. (30% off refills ftw!) Food: They have different options depending on how hungry you are. For snacks, I love their popcorn chicken and string beans. If you're hungry but don't want a full meal, they have rice bowls at a really fair price. I usually get the ground pork bowl because I love the minced meat topped on the rice. The meal is probably the most worth it; I like to order their popcorn chicken meal as it comes with both chicken and rice... plus 50% off a drink any drink. Environment: the noise level is tolerable most of the time unless you get unlucky. If you want to study here, its best to avoid this place during the afternoon when kids get out of school. The music can get kind of annoying if you stay here for a while (it sounds like they have a playlist of radio music or asian music on repeat) so make sure you have earbuds. My friends and family always love the Lollicup at this location the most. Their drinks are good, but the food are even better than any other boba place. You gotta try their popcorn chicken and fried tofu dipping with the sweet&hot sauce. Squid balls are so good especially if you order it medium spice. Wanted to test my theory on who has the best popcorn chicken and if the store being corporate have anything to do with it... well, I guess I've confirmed my theory with this last trip to Lollicup! First of all, let's start with the star attraction Popcorn chicken... Remember how I have raved about the other Lollicups with the popcorn chicken being so good with lots of basil? Well, this one is the same way! That clearly means that all Lollicup locations should have consistent quality when it comes to making popcorn chicken! Which easily makes them always the top of my list! The only grip I have here is that they only have a small bag size available while other places have slightly larger portions... I guess that is one of the elements that are not consistent across the board. Drink-wise it was decent... the rose milk tea was nothing like Tenju or Cofftea... but it is definitely cheaper for a pretty large cup! I really wish they have a richer aroma of the rose which is what I really enjoyed about Rose Milk team but I guess the slightly discounted cost makes up for the taste difference? We'll see I guess..... Service was decent... not rude and the clerks worked fairly quickly. Requested for easy sugar and got exactly what I wanted... Great job! The actual place was really clean and quiet with couple of people eating, using their laptop, and 2 quite guys playing chess... it's definitely much calmer than Tapioca Express next door which is refreshing! Okay so the milk tea PD is back in action and here's what I noticed on my latest investigation: Milk tea is no longer watered down, I don't even know how that happened since that's THE drink people come here for. Great that it's been fixed. Staff is helpful as ever and drinks/food come out fast! Oh, and recently they started serving shaved ice (the ice can be flavored green tea, milk, mango, or strawberry) and I must say it is BOMB. It's no Class 302, but it's def worth the 5 or 6 bux. Can be shared by up to 3 people I would say, and you get to choose 3 toppings for it. I was surprised at the deliciousness of it all. But its only 3 stars here because I like to mix up my drinkage once in a while and I notice that all other flavors of milk tea here are too thick, they use too much flavoring powder. I've never had Almond milk tea at such high viscosity levels. Oh and Lollicup boba just doesn't cut it anymore after Half & Half / Meow. :(( read more

I've been coming here since the early 2000s! There is also another boba shop right next door and they both have been coexisting ever since. That says a lot about how good their drinks are. My favorite drink is just the normal Milk Tea with Tapioca. They always have friendly baristas and cashiers here. The owners of the shop work here as well. They are great with keeping the regulars happy. Sometimes I'll walk in, stand in line, and they will already have my drink ready by the time I get to the cashier! read more

This is probably (aside from Quickly's) one of the few places in Monterey Park/SGV/Alhambra you can get a decent milk tea/ tea drink for a cheap price. I like really like the entrees at Lollicup. The portions are great and reasonably priced -- perfect for a college student or somebody on a tight budget! There's also free wifi (password is the store's telephone number) and outlets along the bar seats (unfortunately, no outlets at the tables!) so I came to Lollicup a number of times to get some studying done. It can get pretty crowded (and loud) around lunch and after-dinner hours (especially on weekends), so if you need absolute quiet to get work done, you might rethink coming here. There's a lot for the plaza that Lollicup is in-- it says 2 hours max, but a few times I've checked in with the security guard and it seems like the 2 hours limit doesn't really hold. Sometimes the lot (ground level + upstairs level) is full, but you can find street parking since behind the plaza is basically a residential area. 3 stars for the boba +1 star for the good experience I've had there with friends read more

This is by far one of the worst lollicup iv ever been too. I recently just moved from sacramento, and my brothers and i were craving boba. So i asked my cousin to take me to a near by lollicup. The chubby girl cashier was really rude. The first time iv been there, my brother ordered a coconut snow. He wanted the same thing this time and she says they dont have that. Urmm then how is it possible that they had it last time and not this time ? So then i ordered a coconut milk tea instead. Secondly iv waited for about 15 mins and they still havent made my drink. All other customer who has ordered after me has already received their drink. So i was thinking, maybe they wanted to wait for my popcorn chicken to be ready before handing me my drink. My popcorn chicken was ready, and they handed me my order. Ans still no drink!!! So i asked them about it and she went " ohhhhh" as in she forgot. Worst part was she chuckled. Urm the fuck ? Youre not gonna apologize? And youre gonna laugh about it. Not only they forgot my drink, she forgot to add boba in it. Had to tell them again and still no apology was given. Never again will i come back here. Worst service and the jasmine milk tea tasted bland and watered down. I suggest they find someone with a better attitude . P.s they should know what they have and what they dont have. I asked for asian chipotle sauce to go with my popcorn chicken and at they very last minute they said they ran out and only gave me 3 choices to choose from. I came here for a Jasmine Milk Tea with Boba, some popcorn chicken with black pepper sauce, and got my friend an Almond Milk Tea (no boba). The total came out to a little over $8. I had checked in on Yelp using Lollicup's FREE WI-FI so the drinks were 20% off. I loved the chewy texture and sweetness of my boba. The sweetness wasn't overly done, but it wasn't too subtle either. I drank my whole cup in about 5 minutes. What I liked was that the girl gave me very little ice, just the way I liked it. My friend ordered her drink without ice and neither of us got the stink eye for it. Overall, the service was great. Of course, we had to wait maybe 10 minutes or so for our popcorn chicken, but it was worth it. The chicken was nice and cripsy on the outside and tender on the inside. I was really surprised that my basil leaves weren't burnt at all. They looked pretty fresh and actually resembled leaves. At other places, I get charred sticks to garnish my chicken. Lollicup shares a medium-sized lot with a few establishments. You may have to park on the street or upstairs during peak hours. I was lucky enough to snag a spot on the first floor. read more
