I'm a regular here for 7 years. They never disappointed me with the mini Taiwanese sausage bowl. This bowl is highly recommended if you're looking to eat something small yet somewhat filling. Service is always great here. When you give your phone number, you can accumulate points to get stuff for free. The milk tea is always good here. It has a creamy sweet flavor. The boba is not the best. I reccomend the egg pudding with the milk tea. The oreo milk shake is also very good here. It's very creamy and it tastes just like oreos. The tufu is also good. They fry it and you can adjust the spicy level. I usually get mild or no spice because it does get really spicy. They also give you sauces to dip the tofu in. Overall an average experience. When arriving to Lollicup I noticed there was plenty of street parking available, first off so far so good with being accessible. When entering through the front entrance the first thing I noticed was the decor and lighting, both brought a welcoming feel to the place. The customer service wasn't the best, little eye contact and no acknowledgement when walking through the door. It kinda felt a bit awkward at first, there was someone in front of me in line however they were talking to the cashier at the counter. I soon caught on that they were friends and wanted to finish up a conversation before taking my order. Already I wasn't impressed The drink I ordered didn't take long to make and tasted a little too sweet for my liking but not bad. There was plenty of choices to choose from, real food along with boba drinks (ie: popcorn chicken, Asian snacks, etc.). The signs displaying the menu were all lit, everything looked up-to date, clean and current. To my surprise when I was preparing to pay with my debit card the lady behind the counter stopped me and said "oh we don't accept credit cards, only cash." Wait a minute... you have flashing signs, lit menus on the wall and personalized cups but you only accept cash? Hmmm... Something's wrong with this picture. This is my most favorite Lollicup. I love their baked Japanese green milk tea. It tastes smooth and not too sweet. Their Thai iced tea is quite good compared to Thai iced tea that other Chinese restaurants offer. The snacks here are awesome. The spicy crispy chicken and some iced tea or milk tea will satisfy your taste buds. I also like their frozen yogurt. It's not perfect, but it's decent. The atmosphere is nice. I often bring a laptop and just chill. This Lollicup also gives out customer rewards cards. Buy 10 drinks and get 1 free. The new tea latte drink is such a delight! I've only tried the brown sugar tea latte so far from the new menu which includes oolong tea latte, vintage tea latte, and black tea latte. The brown sugar tea latte is non-caffeinated, very creamy with rich aroma. Their boba is not as sweet as of Half&Half's, but it is much easier to chew. Grass jelly has a more anise/mint flavor than Half&Half's. Egg pudding is soft and sweet like the one at Meow Meow Cafe. For $3.25, you get a regular size of either brown sugar latte with boba and pudding or brown sugar latte with boba and grass jelly. Are you into Half&Half's or Meow Meow's iced milk drinks? I was never a fan of Lollicup. I think the drinks taste awfully sweet and with a lot of unhealthy artifical additives. They remodelled this place a couple weeks ago and I gave it a try. I can say after remodeling it is very welcoming (thought I've never been to the previous one before). You can order food and drinks, the menu is very simple and easy to understand. Outlets are everywhere including WiFi which makes you like to spend a certain amount of time here if you have a mobile device or your laptop with you. I had the Grapefruit Tea something with jelly. I was a long time Tapioca Express customer and I recently moved on after seeing their 'C' grade posted on the business window. This lollicup joint is located right next to Tapioca Express. Ive been here a couple of times a long long time ago but I have always went to the next door so I dont remember how my experience was. I tried their peach green tea before and it was the best ever!! O Lollicup, how far you have gone astray! What is with all this pretentious faux upscale drink experience you're trying to pull? Tea Station already has that covered. With 19 addons, some 74 plus drinks and some 10 snacks, you're left with an excess of 14000 unique combinations. Bullsheiza 100%. Half the drinks, more than half the addons, and nearly half of the snacks are garbage anyway. BUT you're still left with an excess of 7000 unique combinations that can be anywhere from "this kinda sucks" to "this is kinda heavenly", and trust me, it's gonna be more the former than the latter. Before I cut to the chase, what is up with this milk & latte bullsheiza they got going on? Do they not understand what latte means? Are they gonna come out with some superbly uber pretentious milk latte au lait con leche drink with a splash of gyunyu? In case you were wondering, that was just milk in 5 languages (Italian, French, Spanish and Japanese). No, I did not have to look them up. I will, however, consider trying their frappe on my next visit. It better not be gimmicky like Ozone's fluffy froth shiatsu that they love so much (Ozone = Ozero). Fried chicken: fantastic, succulent, meaty, and seasoned nicely. Fried tofu: crispy, succulent and delicious, but what the hell is up with that sauce? This isn't fried chicken. You aren't given a choice of sauce for the tofu, which is reverse logic; tofu is the one that needs sauce, not the chicken. The chicken is so deliciously juicy and seasoned well that the sauce is really just an afterthought. I just picked it randomly. Got the Asian chipotle, which was made from a powder or based on some crappy hoisen sauce. They forgot to cook the sauce because it was starchy and took away from the flavor. Amateur mistake. Fried tempura. Lol. No comment. Who the hell orders fried tempura? Or whatever the hell it is. To be frank, tempura is a batter, so if you're not gonna tell me what you're battering, I'm never, ever, ever going to order it. That's just dubious and leaves the item suspect. I almost accidentally ordered it because it deceivingly looked like sweet potato fries on the menu, which was only five bucks for an assorted platter. But then I was like, no thanks. I'll just have le tofu. Smart move. Some people have had some pretty crap service here, but so far I've only had typical Asian service, except that one time the girl forgot my ice cream. I think she meant to give it last (of course she didn't), and I nearly left without it, that one time I got honey green milk tea and popcorn chicken. They do, however, bring you the food when you order dine in, and the ambiance is cozy enough for an extended stay, much more so than Tapex. The excessive amounts of TVs can get annoying, though. Despite them stumbling down a path beyond pretentiousness, some of their drinks are still quite delicious, their boba is good, pudding is standard, and they have $1 soft serve, which is just awesome. For the past 5 years, I only came in for the $1 soft serve, then went to Tapex to get everything else. Recently I came back to Lollicup to see if they've improved, and they sure have! Honestly, Lollicup was my first love, and when they cut back on their quality and pumped out crap diabetes in a cup with crap boba, I was beyond upset. I banned both Lollicup and Tapex from my list. Still, they both withstood the test of time, and I can see how Lollicup has survived. Not only are they serving most of the same garbage they used to 5 years ago, they improved their chicken and tofu (still not as good as Pasadena's Lollicup), and added a seemingly endless load of redundant pretentious drinks to the menu, ensuring the return of people who don't know any better and keep trying out crap drink after drink. They're not particularly in it for your satisfaction. In fact, they never ask you how your drink is -- my strawberry snow smoothie was a disgusting piece of crap, thank you very much for asking. They're in it for your money, but I will admit their food is leaps and bounds better than Tapex for about the same price. I haven't tried their snow yet, so no comment on it yet. I will sometime this week. Moral of the story is, stick to the classics, and you should have a fairly good tea experience. Also, their service can dawdle a bit, like when they stop to chat with each other. Some of the comments have stated their milk tea and green milk tea tastes like watered down crap, so they might be doing the same thing Tapex is. I would never order milk tea/green milk tea here anyway, 'cause I could just make it at home and be ensured that it's not watered down sheiza. So perhaps it would be wise to exclude those from the classics list. *To clarify what I mean by classic, I mean strictly popcorn chicken, fried tofu, boba, pudding and whatever drink you know you like there. Okay, it's really just 3.5 stars. So Cha for Tea actually gives you 5% off (at least the one at UCI does) if you use cash, but this place is simply, and strictly, cash only. I came to get their Jasmine Milk tea and did not find it to be as tasty as the one from TapEx or Cha for Tea. Perhaps I asked it to be less sweet, and the server made it NOT sweet at all. This place is usually busy as it has the mix of people just here to chit chat, play cards, and study. There also Mandarin-speaking music videos constantly playing and plenty of magazines to roam through if you become bored. Tables don't seem to be cleaned and their sofas are dirrrrrrty. My friend said that he was going to wash his jeans anyways. Haha. Even when TapEx is literally next door, I usually pick Lollicup over TapEx because it appears to have more seats and the ambiance is better. When I stopped by this one time, they gave me a stamp card for my purchase (wow, I totally forgot they exist!). The new renovated Lollicup Fresh is the same but with a cuter interior. Their drinks are still really yummy, and they have cheap meals like curry chicken rice and popcorn chicken snack bags. They also allow you to choose your sugar level for your drinks which is awesome!! I always ask for 50% sugar because they usually make the drinks here too sweet. So the 50% is just perfect for me. The new bar style settings are perfect for those who want to do work here. They have outlets at every seat!! Super convent!!! The new lighting is good on the eyes as well, it's way brighter now. I don't know about you, but off yellow lighting makes me feel sleepy and tired. Parking is convent. There's two story for their parking lot. read more

I can't complain about any Lollicup! They are always cheap and consistent. I don't feel ripped off whenever I order a large milk tea with boba. The boba is never hard and always sweet. I came over to do some reading for my CPA stuff and also because it is so freaking hot in the valley. I ordered the watermelon smoothie, one of the very few fruit drinks that is made with real fruit. I asked them not to put any sugar in it and it tasted pretty good, like eating a watermelon. Later on, I got hungry and ordered a Taiwanese shaved ice dessert with sweet red beans, papaya, aloe, coffee flavored jello, and jack fruit with minimal sugar and condensed milk. The shaved ice dish is about $5 and made for like a group of 3 or 4 people so I had plenty of left overs to toss. My gripe with this place is the lack of electrical plugs for laptops and the bathroom is disgusting. It really makes me worried about an eating establishment with a filthy restroom because the people that prepare your food go to those restrooms too. My go to Boba place. In terms of ice and sweetness, you basically can customize any drink on the menu to your liking. Normally, I like to get the sea salt green tea at 30% sweetness. If I'm feeling non diary, the green tea no sugar is ultimately refreshing. Though, I don't drink any of the drinks with Boba anymore, but when I did they were standard Boba no too chewy yet not too hard. Give this place a shot. Also the food menu is a must try as well. Nice and roomy place to work, I was there from noon til 6 and it can be pretty noisy but I still prefer the atmosphere than working at Starbucks. They play radio music and at a good volume so it helps tone out the other people. Clean restrooms too.
