My husband gifted me and my daughter a mani/pedi as an early Mother's Day gift. We were SO excited to go here and it's all my daughter (4 years old) could talk about. The shop is cute and the two girls who did my nails did a great job (although I don't know the names of any of them because no one introduced themselves). They seemed rushed but it's fine. The problem I had was with the girl who did my daughters nails. Again, don't know her name bc she never took the time to say hi or introduce herself rather was rushing us to pick a color and get seated. If the manager even reads these, it was the tall Caucasian girl with light brown/dirty blonde hair). She was EXTREMELY impatient with my daughter the entire time she did her nails. I actually have video of how she interacted with my daughter because I finally took my phone out to video her since I was extremely annoyed with her attitude. Yes, my daughter is 4, but she was SO good the entire time. Was quiet and sat very still. My daughter would have to readjust her feet or hands every now and then because the chair was a little big for her and she was sliding down.. and the lady just stopped what she was doing, glares up and my daughter and grabbed both her hands and feet (at separate times) and would firmly replace them where she wanted them and then rolled her eyes as if my daughter was an inconvenience to her. She made multiple snide comments like "if you would stop wiggling this would go a lot faster". First of all, I didn't know this was a race? Second of all, she's FOUR. If you don't have the patience for kids, don't offer kids mani/pedis... let alone have the most rude and impatient tech do them. My sweet daughter even though was treated so rudely the whole time.. kept trying to be nice to her.. called her pretty.. Said she liked her nails etc and she never once responded to her. It broke my heart. Moral of the story... do NOT come here with kids and expect them to have a good time. I wish my husband never made this reservation and paid the ridiculous amount he did for my daughter to be treated the way she was. read more

What a terrific find thanks to my friend who told me about this place. I have always had a problem with my skin peeling after mani/pedis and it appears I am allergic to the chemicals normal salons use. I really only go to natural nail salons and use natural nail polishes. I live in OC and this one is the closest that I know of. Pros: They do a really great job, I have had their regular, go go quick, and soft gel manicures and I haven't been disappointed. They use good quality ingredients. Cons The cloth furniture has really worn over the years and they look a bit gray stained and dirty. They are essentially by appointment only. Almost every time but once when I tried to walk in they told me they could not take me. I've tried on both week day afternoons and weekends. They are not like the nail places you see on every corner that are always ready for walk-ins that is hard for a person like me who has a very random and constantly changing schedule. Try this place with an appointment and though it looks worn recently, they still have high quality oils that they make themselves. If you don't mind the drive try Base Coat in DTLA it is 25% more expense but I've had great success with walk-in and it is OMG beautiful, hella luxurious and instagram ready. (They also serve mimosas and cappuccinos.) If you are OC local, lollipop does a good of job and is more green and hygienic. I will be searching for a local alternative because of my crazy demanding schedule. read more

Looked at Yelp reviews to find an organic nail salon to try. I usually do my own nails but like the occasional treat of a salon. Came in today at about 11:00 am as a walk-in and was able to be seen quickly. Was informed at the front desk that my pedicure could be done now but that someone else would be starting my manicure in about 20 minutes. I appreciated her telling me this. I once ordered an orange Zoya nail polish online, however, didn't really care for it as I wished it were darker. Picked out another orange Zoya polish today for my manicure and pedicure and it turned out great!! Watched as they both did a meticulous job. They also do not use ultraviolet light to dry nails (which may be associated with cancer). A bowl was filled at the sink and brought over to me for the pedicure. Nice little salon and enjoyed the relaxing treatment. Will return again at some point. read more

Located at The Camp in Costa Mesa next to Blackmarket Bakery. The nail salon looks nice and clean, but doesn't have the typical spa chairs. They did have a couch with sectioned chairs and pillows which was uncomfortable for me. My friend also went with me and left with a neck cramp from sitting in an awkward position while getting her mani pedi. The girls were nice, friendly, and overall did a good manicure. The tools they used were in a sterilized pouch that was actually sterilized(you can tell from the package) that's a big plus! The have a nice variety of nail polish including chemical free, vegan, gel, and long wear guaranteed to last a week. I did like my manicure but it wasn't the best I had and for $25 price tag I'll go back to my usual manicure spot. I like spa chairs and a little more detailed service. read more

I was really looking forward to visiting this nail salon as I wanted to somewhere that used more natural products. I was very disappointed with my experience. First off, the price was very expensive for what I received and the $3 COVID surcharge just seems like a grab for extra money. Let's start with when I walked in the door. The girl at the front desk didn't seem that interested to be there and told me to wash my hands before I picked out my color. I walked towards the back and had to ask the employees back there where the bathroom was because I felt like I was going into their back room. It was very messy back with boxes scattered everywhere. After washing my hands the girl just said to sit where I wanted. She didn't ask me what type of manicure I wanted or tried to upgrade me. I wanted to learn about other options but just felt like it was going to be more of a hassle. They don't have the nice massage chairs you would expect at a nail salon and the one I sat in could definitely use a shampoo on the fabric. My feet were then soaked in a plastic tub, nothing fancy at all. From the website, I was expecting a more lush/boutique feel. The stool they had me put my feet up on was directly parallel to my seat and was super uncomfortable. I couldn't wait to get up. My legs fell asleep and my back was killing me. The girls that did my manicure and pedicure barely spoke the entire time. It was so quiet and awkward and I'm the type of person who isn't super social but even that was too quiet for me. I was going to ask about a design on my nails but I could see everyone was ready to get out of there as the front desk and another staff member left early for the weekend. Overall I felt like I could have done my nails myself and saved $80. 3 days later my nails are chipped and I feel ripped off. read more

Melissa is the best nail tech in the OC! She is meticulous and genuinely cares about your nails! My gel nails always look fabulous! This past week, she painted them black with a little bling on each nail. They look classic. I have had so MANY compliments on my nails from coworkers, the doctor's office and literally strangers on the street! Lollipop is very clean and uses organic products. I'm sorry for leaving a bad review but I received a very poor service today. I called for a gel removal and manicure and they said to come in right away, which I did. Not only the girl rushed the entire thing, but in the end the gel was not entirely removed and the manicure wasn't performed completely. I was being nice about it but still mentioned it wasn't right for me to pay in full for half the service. They asked for me to pay the manicure($26+ $3 covid surcharge) and not the gel removal ($10), but I still feel very disappointed and unsatisfied since I still have to redo my nails. They look terrible. I regret coming here and do not recommend anyone else to come. Next time, I'd appreciate that they say they don't have time rather than taking me in to poorly perform. I got my nails done on a Saturday, and after two showers and three days of work, all but two of my nails (gel) are already chipping and/or lifting, bio sculpt and all. I wouldn't expect any less from a nail studio with high-ceiling and encased in concrete on all sides, complemented by candy-like furniture and decor, situated in the oh-so-hipster anti-mall in Costa Mesa, The Camp. For those here for the first time, the owner or receptionist goes through a well-versed monologue describing the products used here. All the nail polish are Toxic-Trio Free (free of Toluene, DBP, Formaldehyde) with 1 case dedicated to water-based and 2 (or 3) cases of vegan polish to choose from. Plus, all the nail-enhancing products (soaks, scrubs, oils, etc.) are made in-house... or sourced responsibly? (tbh, I zoned out a tad towards the end), and every tool is either disposed of after use or medically sterilized, if reusable. The service is friendly, though the nail artists are more concentrated on prettying up your nails than engaging in small talk during the Mani-Pedi, and the organic lemonade (with pulp!) was a nice touch. The owner is super friendly and has an adorably shaggy puppy, Coco! The visit was pleasant, quick (I think... though I have to admit that I have little experience at nail salons), felt guilt-free indulging in premium products with minimal amounts of chemicals plastered on my nails, which, in the end, justified a pretty $60 price tag for a keratin pamper. I also liked that they were upfront about the cost when we called to make day-of appointments for 3 chickadees, and good about taking appointments for the slackers or the impulsive. It's been a little over 2 months now since my Mani-Pedi, and though my fingernails started fading within 2 weeks (because I'm a germaphobe and wash my hands 80 times per day), my toenails are still pretty! It's my first time going here and I plan to come back again. I really enjoyed the quiet environment and the products they offer. I had a gel manicure and pedicure. The two ladies that worked on me were very kind, friendly, gentle, and did great work on my nails! I'm also on week 3 of my nails and they are still looking great! My only issue is that they were working on both my manicure and pedicure at the same time, which is fine, but their seating arrangements were uncomfortable. They offer a massage with your service but I had my arm across my chest for one of them because they really can't go on your other side if you're sitting on the couch. The chairs were also not comfortable to sit on for long periods with the many pillows. Very nice place with nice people. Great concept. They just need better seating for full services! read more

My fingers and my toes so happy! I feel so relaxed and rejuvenated! I had them do some nail art and it was so much fun! Elizabeth or Liz did my finger nails and Denise did my toes. These ladies were so meticulous! The salon smelled great not like a normal nail salon which was nice but I think it's because they use all natural nail polishes and the scrubs felt so nice! Another great thing I noticed was how crazy hygenic it was. Everything was sealed and opened in front of me the foot bath was lined and the beautiful flowers floating was so neat. A bit on the pricey side but I would definitely come back it was a fun treat.... The only bad thing I would say was the chairs could be more comfortable. I called to make an appointment for a pedicure and the person who answered the phone was incredibly rude. Apparently, this nail salon fully books out and they don't allow room for walk ins. What kind of a nail salon doesn't take walk ins? They wouldn't even try to squeeze me in after I explained my circumstance. I love having an organic place to get my nails done, truly a gem. Only downside is it's hard to get any designs done on ur nails, it's always been a big ordeal like it's not the norm for them. And I only ask for a simple one on only one toe, each foot. Almost all the typical salons do them as the norm, or are prepared to. Probably one of my worse nails experience. From the gel removal to the final result. I was there for almost 3 hours, and my nails turned out bumpy, damaged, and thin. I watched in horror as the nail tech was literally scraping off layers of my real nail. About 4 nails chipped and broke the next day, but I didn't dare bother to go get them fixed. Also, I asked for simple polka dots on my thumbs to hide the terrible job done, and was told only a nail artists could do that and they didn't have time. I got my nails done at my now forever spot, and the nail tech there was even horrified of the damage done. The staff was friendly though, and the atmosphere was very lively and fun. I came here today with my sister and aunt for a girl's day out. The atmosphere is very clean and not like those chemical filled nail salons. I love the open duct work and tall ceilings. The workers and owner of Lollipop are super genuine and such kind people. The salon uses organic products and self made scrubs with a bunch if natural products/oils. It was my first time getting gel nails done. I also got French tips on my toes. Denise did my toe nails she's awesome and easy to talk to. Came and got my nails done by Thao and she was so sweet. I've always been self conscious of my nails because I bite them when I'm anxious. I also work with flowers, plants and horses so my cuticles, skin and nails are usually in really bad shape. She told me they look great and have a nice shape which made me feel good haha. The studio is small and wasn't super busy which was nice. They don't use harsh chemicals which is so great because you don't have a head ache and you know it's safe for you and the workers to not be around them.
