Five-star fast food! Not to be confused with a five-star diner or a five-star fine dining establishment. The quiet-greasy meal I ordered was exactly what I wanted and anticipated. Fish is healthy, right?! The food was perfectly prepared and at a reasonable price compared to other fast food establishments. It was also delivered with exactly the right amount of condiments and napkins and a straw, as one should expect, but rarely get elsewhere. The service was perfect. The person who took the order was polite, attentive and clearly wanting to do a good job, efficiently. Even the tray was presented properly with the placemat facing the customer and with a smile. The ambiance is the same as LJS has always been. It feels like the same place I remember from long ago. There aren't many left so this location is appreciated partly for existing but also because it seems to celebrate it just a bit. It's clean, well-cared for and not beat up or run down. Sure, there are things I could pick at so it's not perfect but it's pleasant. I will return more often but it's only when I get the taste for extra LJS cooking oil in my diet, once or twice a year.

The reviews from fellow Yelpers, for this location tend to be very good, to very bad. I guess, this has to depending on which crew you have on duty, & what manager, plus time of the day or just the day in general. All of the above makes customers nervous about visiting a restaurant that is inconsistent. I found my visit on a Monday around noon, to be a very pleasant experience. I upgraded to off the menu of 3 piece fish & chips. The fish & French fries were cooked fresh & delicious. The Mac & cheese w/ crumbles was ok, didn't like the crumbles which seem like, old batter pieces on top of the Mac n cheese, I will ask for no crumbles. The fish was good size, white & flaky, when asking the cashier type of fish it was? She said Alaskan Pollack, but on a graphic in the restaurant it said Cod? So I'm not sure ? I enjoyed the malt vinegar on the fish than the pre packaged tarter soft. I found the service to be very good, the food very good and everything looked in good shape and clean. The ambiance was nice and pleasant

Catfish Deweys have redeemed themselves from our last visit, two years ago, when all the food we…read moreordered was NOT good! The restaurant was and bustling with customers coming in to eat consistently! It wasn't too loud so we could hear each other at the table. Although they were busy, we didn't have to wait too long for our food! Our server, Phillip, who truly looks like Ryan Gosling was PHENOMENAL!!! He was on top of EVERYTHING and had the best personality and demeanor!!! The fish & shrimp and sweet tea were AMAZING; however, the sides need a little bit more work but were edible. Hence the 4 stars instead of 5.

Massive Feast! Epic Crab Legs & Flawless Fried Catfish We…read morerolled into Catfish Dewey's with a big party of 10, and this place absolutely knocked it out of the park! We specifically chose it because the wife loves crab legs, and they run an incredible All-You-Can-Eat special on Tuesdays and Thursdays. As you can see from my photo more than half of our table went all-in on the AYCE crab legs, and it was a glorious, buttery battlefield. The kitchen kept the supply coming--served up in big metal tins, consistently warm, perfectly cooked, and accompanied by absolute pools of melted butter for dipping. The quality and pace for an all-you-can-eat setup were top-notch. The wife was in seafood heaven! Now, with a name like Catfish Dewey's, you know I couldn't leave without testing the namesake dish. I ordered the catfish, and it was a total home run. It came out piping hot, with a perfectly seasoned, ultra-crispy golden crust while staying incredibly flaky and tender on the inside. The Hidden Gem Bonus: They start you off with complimentary hush puppies served with butter. Let me tell you, these things are dangerous! Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and the perfect sweet-and-savory bite to kick off a massive meal. Whether you're feeding a massive crew, chasing a killer seafood special, or just want some of the best fried fish in town, Catfish Dewey's is the real deal. Incredible food, great energy, and we left completely stuffed. Highly recommend! Where is the next stop on the Fort Lauderdale food tour? Hit me with the details!

I went to Crafty Crab around 9 PM on a Thursday night after Zumba. The space itself is very big and…read morespacious with ample parking. There were some customers there, but the place still felt very empty and honestly a bit boring. It was very quiet. There was music playing, but we could hardly hear it. The TVs were on, but with no sound, which didn't help the atmosphere. We were seated in the booth area where the other guests were. They had a 2-for-1 drink special, and the waitress was friendly and helpful. She let us know we didn't have to order the same drinks for the deal, which was nice. I ordered a passion fruit margarita, but it didn't taste like passion fruit at all. More tart than sweet. I didn't love the flavor, but I will say the bartender was definitely not stingy with the liquor. My friend ordered a Bahama Mama and had no complaints. I'm not a big seafood person, but I do love wings, and that's where Crafty Crab won me over. I ordered the 10 piece sweet chili wings, all flats, for $10.99, which alone is enough to bring me back. The wings were hot, fresh, and flavorful. My friends also enjoyed their lemon pepper wings and drinks. We originally came because we heard they used to have karaoke on Thursdays, which would have been perfect for the size of the venue. When I asked the waitress about it, she said she didn't know why they stopped. That's unfortunate because this place has so much potential. It's a large venue with good wings and cheap drinks, they're really just missing a vibe. Even playing music through the speakers would make a huge difference. Overall, I'd return for the wings and drink specials, but I hope they bring some energy back to the space. Based on this experience l'd give it a 3.5

I don't want corn or potatoes nor do I want so much sauce on my crab legs that I can't actually taste the crab legs. I feel the service tends to be a little slow and if I'm spending over $100 for a meal I don't want to be using plastic ware. Prying open a crab joint with a spork is simply ridiculous. I mean I won't say no if you have your heart set on going there to eat with me but we can do better.

Most importantly of all, though, the food is top notch. Everything I had, I loved. We ordered the set menu and I highly recommend it. We started with three delicate small bites - sashimi, beets with caviar, and liver. All were delicately put together with a pleasant flavor and nothing too overpowering. Next, we had a large sampling of different items, hummus, babaganoush, muhammara, pickled cauliflower, an incredible olive oil, a beef tallow edible candle, and one of the best homemade hot sauces I have ever had. Then, we had the main course, a perfectly done branzino, and the best beef I have ever had in my life, their waygu beef skewers. Finally, their dessert was sophisticated and so well done. I very highly recommend this place for a fine dining experience in all of the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area!

I think about this dining experience often and with a lot of joy. First, it's a beautiful space inside the Four Seasons and the service was phenomenal. The truffle hummus is life changing. I repeat, life changing. I dream about it. The Wagyu was the star of the show (it's hard not to when it comes over dry ice). The flavor was so good and it cut like butter. The potatoes were so crispy and delicious and paired perfectly. Other standouts were the branzino, octopus, and pavlova. All in all, this was one of the greatest meals I've ever had and I highly recommend!
