Green beans, hush puppies, and 3 pieces of fish.

I was craving my shrimp and fish order the L6 like I always do. I order the green beans and they are so good don't know how the cook them but love the flavoring. 46 miles away from the store when I open the container 3 pieces of fish and 2 hush puppies no shrimp. I am 46 miles from there late at night I was not driving back. I had asked for cocktail sauce and they seem to be out overtime I am there so they offer ketchup. So very disappointed.

Shrimp with hair fried into it

So we don't have any LJS around us anymore. We always have to drive and we just happen to be visiting family here in SD. We drove 15 mins to get to this location. We went in & ordered snd had to wait 20 mins for the order which was fine. Staff was polite, restaurant was clean. It's a KFC/LJS location. We got our food, got home & yeah our family pack was fine, but the our (L6?) the fish & Shrimp for my daughter was ruined. Either bad hygiene & Sanitation, or the food they received was also ranted. A hair was fried into the batter of a shrimp tail which completely grossed my daughter out that she could've eat. So that was $54 wasted. You know they fried it together with our other food so cross contamination. We couldn't eat it and didn't bother eating after that. We spent almost an hour round trip to get the food. Didn't want to drive south and back this close to closing time. So be careful when you order either KFC or LJS you make get the lil extra with your food you didn't want

Definitely not the same quality they used to have, but their $6 combo is worth the price. 2 fish, 2 hush puppies, and fries can easily fill you up. Try to go during peak hours otherwise you may have food that's been sitting for a while.

This is the only Long John Silver's in San Diego - but it's also a KFC. Don't expect much other than almost everything on the menu (except drinks) is fried - and will need the sauces they give you to have any flavor.

I normally don't write reviews on big chain restaurants because they should be consistent. You go there knowing what to expect and you should get that great service or food. The other day I went Long Johns Silver because I was craving Fish and Chips. They were conveniently close so why not. It just started off bad. I got there and the cashier tells me the computer is updating. Ok fine I'll wait. 15 minutes later she finally asks ok how can I help you. Cool, I ask for the Fish and Shrimp combo. She then says oh we don't have any coleslaw. I was kinda bummed because that's the standard side I expect. Oh well, I end up getting some fries and corn. After waiting for food that is already cooked and just sitting in the food warmer I finally get my food. The fries are steak fries and not the normal thin fries. The plate was missing the hush puppies and the soda was watered down. I get it, the syrup bib needed to be replaced. It happens, but along with everything else. It just made my visit there, that much worse. I just sat at an available dirty table and ate. The only bright side of this visit was the fish was good as always.

Went to the website saw the fish and fries for 1.99 which they don't honor. Or any other coupons. I will not be back.

We put baby in high chair although baby kept trying to eat the table. We got our usual favorites (warm lobster rolls, clam chowder bowls, fried oyster, and fried clam belly). Surprisingly the clam belly was full of sand this time! Must not have soaked in water long enough, but when we told our server they swapped it out immediately. We substituted one of our coleslaw for potato salad, and one of our fries for onion rings. We definitely will continue doing so because it is nice to try out so many different dishes! As always, order the fries well-done for nice crispy fries. It's still on our to-do list to try the chicken parmesan since we've heard so many good things about it, but I really do like my Must Order dishes (listed below). Must Order (in order of ranking): - Clam chowder bowl - Warm lobster roll - Fried oysters - Fried scallops - Fried clam belly - Fried clam strips - Crab roll Pass: - Fish and chips - Calamari

I asked for warm lobster roll with butter on the side. The sandwich was no longer a sandwich because it was drenched with butter. It wasn't out on the side. So I had to eat it with a fork. 3. Asked if I wanted onion rings (not good and soggy) and slaw but didn't mention it was additional cost. I guess that's my fault. All for $70 for food that was ok, bad service and can't follow a simple request.

Right when you walk in, you'll see Captain Sam's set up in the corner. Service is friendly, instantly gives me that same vibe at my favorite fish and chicken spot back home in Chicago. Now the food? Smacks harder than Bruce Lee. Everything was fried to perfection. The catfish was flavorful without that muddy taste, the cod was light and flaky, and the shrimp? Big and great flavor. The whole wings hit the spot. I like to drench mine in hot sauce and ranch. Note: normally dinners come with three wings, but since they were on the smaller side they gave me four. Small gesture, big appreciation. Gizzards were clean, crispy, and fried just right and if you're about that spice life, definitely get them Chicago style (drenched in mild sauce). Even the fries deserve a shoutout. Most spots treat fries as an afterthought, but these had a crispy coating with a fluffy inside and some of the best I've had at a fish & chicken joint. I'll be back for sure. Welp! Onto the next Lipitor worthy food adventure!

I usually order the "2 Fish w/ Reg Chips," and the portion is big enough to share or split into 2 meals as the fish are fairly big. It also comes with a side of coleslaw. The food is made-to-order and comes out hot and fresh! The batter on the fish is incredibly crispy but manages to maintain an airiness to it at the same time, not greasy at all! The chips were also very crispy despite their thick cut. I've not had chips like these anywhere else! They were truly one of a kind. While the chips were well-seasoned, the fish could've used a lil salt, although it's nothing that can't be fixed with some tartar sauce. If you dine in, the owner will bring out a metal bucket with some napkins, a water bottle, and a bottle of cocktail sauce to accompany your meal. They also have a special bottle of sauce for the fish, but I can't seem to remember the name of it. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming and remembers you and your order. Great family-owned business that I'm happy to support. It's a no-frills place that delivers on the quality and service. Truly outstanding!

The texture and fry on the fish were on point ,crispy and cooked well but the fish itself lacked flavor in every bite.
