So, I'll start by saying, this is not just your average "chain restaurant". Longhorn in Covington is by far the best place in town to eat. The food is always good, and the service is always top notch. Speaking of the service, that's really what makes the trip worth it every time. Very frustrated .... Angry actually. We called ahead 18 minutes before arriving, for seating for our group of 8 traveling on the interstate. The hostess said it would be 45 minutes for a group that large. We asked about 2 tables of 4 and were told that was fine we could be seated Upon arriving (19 minutes after the call), we were given a pager and told it would be another 35 or 40 minutes. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!! We would have kept driving. Why offer call ahead seating and give out misinformation???? We left and will be holding this against the Longhorn franchise! Well initially thought we would have a good experience, got sat down right away, drink order taken quickly and we placed our food order. Over 25 minutes later we were finally acknowledged that our food was not out yet but would be right away. I understand when you're having staff issues however communication with people would go a long way, and at least check on your customers and let them know they are still there and important to you. read more

Bad experience! I stopped by during my lunch break, and had a terrible experience. The waitress was not attentive, though she seemed nice. She seemed inexperienced. Several people who arrived 30 minutes after we did, were getting their appetizers and meals, while we were still sitting at the table waiting. After an hour had passed, I asked our waiter about our food. She went to the back and brought it out. Our food was cold, and distasteful. At this point, I was upset that it was over an hour that I waited, and to top it off, the food was cold. We asked to speak to the manager, and the manager made things worst. The manager told us we didn't have to pay for our food, but he still was not acting as a manager should. We told him what happened, and he had a sarcastic response for everything. He said the food came out late because of the cook, not the waiter. If you think about it, if the food is cold, that means that the waiter is at fault and not the cook. The manager couldn't have just apologized and took note of what our complaints were. Instead, he had an excuse or reasoning for everything in a sarcastic tone. I won't be returning! read more

Friendly staff! Yummy food! I had the grilled chicken and strawberry salad. It was delicious and a very large salad! My husband ordered a lunch special with steak, side salad, chili and a baked potato. He said it was good as well, and the special was great for the price! Lots of food for the money. Love this Longhorns!... Great chicken tenders, fabulous blackened salmon, amazing Flo's Filet (blackened or not). The chipotle ranch dressing for salads used to be one of my reasons for coming here, but it was discontinued :/ never bad wait times on getting seated or ordering, and food is served promptly. On our last visit, the waitress just couldn't quite get our order right, but eventually she got us taken care of and the food was delicious as usual. read more

The food is what you would expect of Long Horns. But the service is terrible. It tool 20 min tonsitbus even though half the resturant was empty. When we were finally sat they sat everyone who was waiting in the same section so there was no room to move. The server was overwhelmed by having been sat so many people at once. We got out bread before we ever ordered. It took a long time to ever get our food. And the biggest complaint of all is that for some reason management doesnt want to turn the lights on. Came to Long Horn for a friends birthday, A group of African Americans that could obviously come off as a burden in the eyes of the employees here. We ordered our drinks and a friend asked to taste one of our drinks. the manager came out and began to stare at us and began yelling saying if we are sharing drinks we'd be kicked out. We just stayed quiet and let the man blow his steam. it is unacceptable that he feels he can talk to ANYONE on him and we plan to call Corporate. read more

Great place in Conyers, Originally was heading to Outback but when we arrived it was 1hr wait, called Longhorn and they didn't have any wait at all. Great service and food was just as good as Outback. Glad we came here instead. read more

Staying out of town for work, called in a to go order. Ordered the Ribeye, loaded baked potatoe and broccoli. Picked it up and back to hotel and there is no silverware or napkins. Went thru a 20 wait at hotel line to finally get a fork. Went to put sour cream, bacon pieces, and cheese on potato. No butter. It was only enough to barely dress the top layer of the potato leaving me with a dry potato. The ribeye was decent but no steak sauce of any kind was in bag or offered. Broccoli was raw and not even steamed. Of course, not butter or anything for broccoli. There was an entire loaf of bread. But guess what, no butter for the bread either. Overall, I just need a fork,napkins, and more condiments. Expected Longhorn to at least provide butter and a fork!! For $21.95, I would expect to at least get this. read more

My 84 year old Mom and I (63) decided to eat out and selected LongHorn, all started out well, Our server was nice but not very attentive to our table. While we were waiting for our entree we had devoured all but a piece of our bread and when the entree's arrived she asked if we needed anything, Mom chose Steak sauce afterwards our table was all but forgotten. When we had finished our meal and quietly sat there for a few minutes glasses empty, she stopped by to ask if we wanted desert. We just asked for the check and a take out box for the sweet potato Mom didn't have room for. Not once were we offered refills during our stay, it's as if we were forgotten. I reflected this sentiment in my tip along with a kind note advising our server that I usually tip 20% or more for service but not this time. If not for this young ladies nice demeanor I would have left a penny which really would have reflected my thoughts on her service but thought maybe it's the training or lack thereof or she was just having an off day. BTW the food was good but, it'll be a while before I'll try this Longhorn again. read more

Worst. Service. Ever. No bread, no refills, forgot the appetizer. The General Manager, Terri, was the most unprofessional and unconcerned person we've ever experienced. When someone at another table confronted her and told her to talk to us, she refused and I quote..."I'm not here to talk to them, I'm here to talk to you!" We won't ever be back. read more

Visited this location yesterday for lunch, fairly busy spot. The McDonough location is closer to me usually but we were in Covingon so stopped in around noon. The host was friendly enough, got us seated pretty quickly. Our server Jamie was very pleasant and took good care of us. Our food took around 25 minutes and once we received it; it was room temperature but for the most part it was okay. Would return for the ambiance and service. read more

We were seating right away, we are a family of 4. It took almost 15 mins to be acknowledged. We ordered a blooming onion appetizer, it came pretty quick but then so did the salad and our steaks, all within minutes of each other. We didn't get to enjoy our appetizer or salad and my steak was not that great. The waitress was really sweet when we saw her but it was not often. We were celebrating my birthday and were talking about what we were going to get for desert, when she brought us our check without asking if we wanted anything else. It was a disaster. People came for dinner, but saw a scene. My uncle, mother,me and my brother and sister went for my mothers birthday. My uncle is very passionate and vocal all day, every day. He went in and struck up conversation with anyone who greeted him. He told them it was his siters birthday. He asked if they would sing. The young lady said yes, we can get someone to dance on the table if you like! Keep in mind, Uncle is EXTRA EXTRA alll dayyy. He ordered a couple drinks. We ordered our food. It took 20 minuets for the drinks, so he went to the bar and got one. Shortly, they finally served our drinks, he had ordered a beer, bloody mary and water. Then the salads came. Mine and my mothers were full bowls. His, barley half full. After he got a different server to finally come to him, they saw it was not full and brought another. Alot went on while we waited for the entrées. He ordered a medium well steak (the most expensive on the menu) onions and sauté mushrooms on the side with a LARGE potatoe. The food finally came. He had the smallest potatoe at the table, which took a few minuets to get addressed. And they forgot the worchestershire he had requested not to mention my brothers mac n cheeze, which came just before we aid and he had already left. Finally he cut his medium well steak. BLOOD RED!!! Iv worked in restaurants, it wan on the grill less than 15 minuets. He went to get his worchestershire sauce after ten minuets and get one last beer which he never finishes. The manager came to the bar and told him he was drunk and cutt off from the bar. Now keep in mind, my QUEENuncle already very over the top had been screwed on every part of his meal became irritated, but civil. The manager came to our table and asked if we needed anything. My uncle proceeded to tell him why he was even wxtra extra. The manager called him a drunk infront of everyone in the place and tried to cut him off every time he spoke. Uncle will not be silenced. Ever. The manager was unprofessional and irrate. Anyone whos knows my uncle knows he is the same way sun up to sun down. The real kicker, he got food poisoning after every portion of his meal was screwed up*(exepct the bloody mary) and was publicly insulted by the manager..... Do not go there unless you are a SQUARE! Stopped by this restaurant tonight because I was starving and wanted something good to eat but what a horrible choice. The waitress was horrible, the smell of the restaurant was horrible and Lord have mercy, the food was HORRIBLE...!!! The salmon was burnt and dry, the potato was cold. I ordered ribs as my meal and they decided to inform me 20 minutes later that they would be ready till 1:30.... I work in a restaurant I know how it goes but all your food should be prepared and ready when the doors open and then to say, words from the manager, "we only had 2 prepared this morning and already sold them".. why the hell is only 2 ribs ready?!?! then I already told the waitress and the manager I didn't want anything else. and then the waitress comes back and tries to had me my ribs that I ordered, "I went back there and Mrs. Terry made it happen" I already told them I didn't want anything else I handed the plate right back to her.
