Please be aware that they let other patrons skip the waiting list. We were a party of 2 and they let 2 other couples that had arrived after us. They told us that it was because they had called ahead. But that was not true as one of the couple the hostess told them they had to wait 30 minutes, while she had told us 15 minutes. And she called them within 5 minutes. The other couple was obviously a friend of one of the waitress and they let them in within 5 minutes as well. I've long been looking for a decent steakhouse in Hialeah, but those are harder to find than a blue diamond. The pros: Only one. The steak itself was delicious. Cooked to perfection. Cons: Everything else. The service was severely lacking. The restaurant was about at half capacity, and there was plenty of staff mulling about, yet it was some time before someone took my order. Steak with loaded baked potato, Cesar salad, and "unlimited bread". I never got the bread. I did get the salad but no utensils, had to wave my arms for those. As I said the steak was good, the baked potato room temperature. Did I mention no bread? My son wanted desert, ice cream and brownie. LONGHORN STEAKHOUSE HIALEAH It is really not my style to leave negative comments, but today I must do an exception. We come here regularly. Today, they told us that the waiting was one hour and that was ok. We told them that we were 7 in our party and two of them are big guys. One is 6 feet and 5 inches. We asked because we waited more than one hour and they told us they were cleaning the table (NOT A BOOTH). We were called in and as we were following the restaurant person to the round table they told us that we needed to sit in a booth instead. We explained that it was not comfortable and that we did not fit. The guy that sit the people in the restaurant was very direct and immediately told us that he will call the manager. The manager was not help. She did not offer a solution that will benefit us. She was not professional, she did not understand and she was rude. She didn't care. The table that was originally for us was empty. It was our turn after waiting for more than an hour. We left the restaurant. A professional and caring manager would have listen to our concern and would have offer a better sitting arrangements. So unprofessional. read more

I remember seeing this place packed the first month open, so we finally decided to have dinner here. Both here and the Olive Garden next door are completely empty of people now, and I kind of see a bit why. First our waiter for our table is the bartender, leaving the bar to serve us. Second with it being dead, he still can't understand the term "No Ice". Also, after waiting 6-8 minutes for him to come back and ask if we're ready to order, he seems to be keeping a distance or disinterested in taking it, it took me making a slick comment as he walked by a 4th time saying "maybe if the waiter would help answer the question" he finally stopped, I guess because I spoke English he didn't like me already. While waiting for our food, watching him be so kind and on his toes for another customer just made me feel unwelcome. Now the fun part, sitting next to the kitchen, nice to hear the cooks and waiter complaining lol. Cleanliness - bathroom was clean, table still had marks from the last plate I easily wiped myself with my napkin. The place itself was really clean, then again it's only been open about 4 months. Food - order a ny strip well done, of course a lot of pink in the middle, however was able to eat thru it. Steak was very juicy, but a steakhouse should be on par with well done orders. My girl had some Mac and cheese which looked really good. By the way while typing this I'm still waiting for a refill, and he asked if I'm ready for the check.. What a shame Just left Longhorn Steakhouse, what a disappointment. Arrived at 7:30 placed our order right away, a soup and two steaks cooked medium. At 8:15 our food finally arrived even though the people sitting right behind us arrived 15-20 minutes later, both our tables were served at the same time. Missing: our soup The steaks over cooked to well and one of them way too charred on the outside. I feel bad for the server, it's bad business to have your bartender waiting tables, and this was exactly what was happening. Having to tend to a bar with several patrons as well as having to take orders from tables will cause one of them or both to not get the attention they need. She was way too busy. We decided to leave, by that point 45 minutes in and just receiving our food with a missing item and cooked beyond edible, how much longer would we have had to wait to get things right. Took my aunt to eat here ordered filet mignon for her med well and prime rib for me Med rare. Place was clean seating fast and parking sucks. Salads were good nothing to write home about. My aunts steak comes out it's nearly charred and small and flat and shriveled. My piece looks grey dead about a week ago. I took a taste of her piece and yep they tried to pass off sirloin for filet what a bunch of thieves. My aunt won't complain though she ate and I had them alter the price. I also returned mine for med rare and got it but soon after it too turned grey on my plate. Weird I thought. So I looked up meats and artificial types. Do you know that there is a product that is called steak glue where they take pieces of other left over meats uncooked and wrap it with like a fatty flank press it and it looks like prime rib?!! Worst service ever don't come here. The waitress(never got her name since she never came to us) was walking right past us. Didn't say hi or i will be with you in a moment not a damn word. She kept going to her other tables though. When i finally got up to ask the host to get the waitress after 10 minuets of waiting. She didn't even come to us,she went to her other two tables and then as we got up she decided to come n ask us while walking out. So ridiculous. We were a group of 10 celebrating my father's Big 60th Birthday. He had been wanting to go to longhorn and finally there was one by him in Hialeah. We decided to surprise him there and order him a custom birthday cake to take with us to the restaurant. When we sat down the server took our drink orders and said he would bring 4 breads. In the next hour the drinks came out 2 at a time every 15 min and missing items. We had to ask for water 4 times until he brought us a pale with no cups. Then the bread (2), appetizer, salads, soup, and entrees all came at the same time. There was no room anywhere on the table, we were so uncomfortable. The waiter Devertte mentioned his GM was there and that everyone was on edge. I asked him to tell the GM to come to our table that we wanted to speak to him. An hour passed never came. We finally were ready to sing happy birthday the waiter brought back our cake to the table and said the GM doesn't want them to sign Happy Birthday as it is disturbing. At this point we were all upset and disappointed. Again I asked to speak to the GM and he never came or any manager to our table. We then asked for a lighter which never came so another guest gave us one and asked for the check. We didn't even get a group picture. Me and my family went in for dinner at this location. We was a large party and was told we could not be seated due it being a large party by the manager name Cj. He was very rude and down talked my family. It was other parties in the restaurant and he was extremely loud and other customers stopper to ask what was going on. All we wanted to do was get a understanding of the policy longhorn has that they will not sit larger parties between a certain time. I had a family of 9 and after a long day of doing my wedding party shopping we just wanted to stop in and grab dinner. The way Cj treated me and my family was very unprofessional. Cj should not be the face of longhorn at all. Cj even told one of my family members that she wanted to challenge him and he was going to her his general manager Cassia. My family member never challenged him. She walked up to the host station where me and my finance was talking to Cj to ask us did we want to go to another restaurant. As we were leaving Cj said well good luck finding a restaurant to sit your party of 9. We was even willing to wait for a table to become available or even offered to be split up. Due to his bad manners and lack of customer service and lack of care of his customers we chose to go down the street to outback. I am only reviewing about the pick up option. I work across the street and wanted to get food to go there. The website made it easy to order food online and even had an area where I can say who is picking up the food. Everything was ok however they gave us the wrong order but the right receipt. They did call about it but my friend was already back with the food. They also forgot the salad dressing we ordered for the buttermilk chicken salad. It was still good without salad dressing. I ordered the burger with parmeasan garlic fries. It was medium rare which was good but it was a bit cold since we had to go back to the restaurant to get our order. Let's start with this. Our waiter was very friendly and I gave him a 25% tip only because of that. Now, this place needs to get it together and get people their food in a timely fashion. If the place is only a third full on a Thursday night, there is no reason that 2 steaks cooked medium rare and a salmon dish should take 45 minutes to come out! Also, I am not a fan of 6 of the 12 ounces of my steak being nothing but fat! See the picture I posted. My daughters medium rare steak was rare so again it confuses me as to why it took 45 minutes to get us our food. Ironically it only took 2 minutes to bring us the bill after we were finished with our meals. Unfortunately we will not be going back to Longhorn. Oh, and i forgot to mention that this was my daughters birthday dinner. She actually asked to go here and ended up not even able to enjoy her food. Great service and food! The manager even came to our table and chatted with us for a while and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Not just the typical 'hey, is everything okay" conversation. He was genuinely interested in getting to know us and asked us what our names were and asked that we ask for him whenever we stop by the restaurant so that he could say hi to us. Not my first time in Longhorn, but my first time in this location. My daughter and I decided to have us a little lunch and this seemed like a good place for it. We arrived at what I think is the lunch rush (between 12: PM and 1:30 PM) and although there were quite a few exects and sects there, we were seated almost immediately. No sooner at our table and the nicest waitress arrived with fresh hot bread and great personality. Her name was Leticia. She took are drink order and apologies for the wait. Our drinks came in a matter of minutes and as Leticia passed by to see to others and she asked us if everything was OK, which I nodded yes. We ordered burgers, my Daughter the crunchy something or other burger and I the house burger with American cheese (since this is election season I decided to be patriotic and not order my usual Provolone) the burgers arrived in record time. Leticia walked over to see if we needed anything else and running down a list of condiments, to which I asked for Mayo and Ketchup. She brought these over in less than two minutes. I could not finish my juice hot and gooey burger and fries because since I am a huge warm bread and butter fan had finished almost the entire basked of bread before the burgers arrived. Every dinning experience at longhorns varies greatly. I've had experiences from exceptional to total disaster. The cooks don't deliver as waiters placed orders. The steaks come out cold and not cooked to requests 50% of the time. Hostesses not necessarily the most welcoming. Waiters are at time very attentive and other times aloof.
