Do we go out for steak? No..Why? Its Expensive!....Was it worth it?...Absolutely! From the time we arrived until the time we left the whole experience was fantastic....Customer Service is easily one of the best we had any of the Manor dine in locations. Everyone is friendly and they all seem to enjoy working there...Our server was No exception...Nathli Did a fantastic job! We started with the Brisket Queso which was great...they don't shy away from the brisket!! Both opted for the Caesar Salad...Large in size...crisp lettuce..great dressing...load of Parm....Wife went with the Flos Filet...cooked perfectly and so flavorful...She Also went with a side of Mac...creamy and a great crust on top....I went with the Outlaw Ribeye...ridiculously delicious...I was almost ashamed I could actually finish it...Almost...I did bring the bone home to gnaw on as not to scare the children...also had a cup of the Lobster Chowder...I would come just to eat that!!...Lets not forget the bread at the beginning...truly a nice touch...Yes...this was pricey...but what a treat it was!!...Worth every last penny!! Nice to have a High End joint in Manor...and only 7 minutes from the house....We will see you again soon!

Could not accommodate 8 people when the entire floor was not occupied. Manager said they don't have enough tables since opening.

When I saw it, I was SO excited. It was old, rickety, paint pealing and should've been condemned. I loved it! Exactly what I'd expect for good barbecue. Ordered two sliced brisket plates and a chopped brisket sandwich plate. Got the food to-go and headed to the house. I was SO disappointed with just about everything. MIL thought the sandwich was good, but she didn't get her coleslaw side. Wife's meat was good, but her coleslaw (and mine) wasn't goof. Very vinegary and not creamy at all like I'm used to for coleslaw. My brisket, however was horrible. It was more fat than meat and I couldn't eat it it was so fatty. In addition to the coleslaw, the green beans I got was in desperate need of salt. Really disappointed overall. Maybe it was an off day or something, but just wasn't worth it imo.

It doesn't look like much, but it is certainly a destination. It is the smells of smoked barbecue that gently waft over Manor. It is a reminder that we live in Texas where smoked meat is a thing. I took pictures of signs and their outdoor seating arrangements as well as their drive-through. Then, I went inside and took a look around. I was met by a small crowd and very busy cooks behind the counter. I took some pictures and finally got to meet the staff. They are very polite, and greeted me with a smile and asked me what I wanted to order. I couldn't make up my mind, but I did ask a lot of questions to get an idea how to position their advertising. So much to choose from. It sounds to me that this is the type of place where you order- pick up and go on a picnic or bring to your home to feed the masses. That was my take away; A picnic table, bench, and a broad selection of meats. You can't beat the prices here either. For the same price of going to McDonald's, you can order A better tasting meal. I prefer supporting our local businesses so that they can remain here and serve the loyal customer base. To be honest, I didn't order anything. But I did see the range of food that they do serve and they do very well for the selections. The food here sounds to be very consistent. I plan on coming back and having a sit down with Gary who is the owner there. He's a pretty neat guy from what I hear.

I was still off keto from my vacation, so I was able to try the unhealthful things I'd been wanting to try. I immediately knew I had to get the club sandwich, but I was a little split on which side to get. I was leaning towards onion rings, which the server confirmed as a top pick. My sandwich was just ok. The bread was barely toasted, Since I rarely eat bread, and get it as a treat, disappointing bread can really affect a meal. The fillings were as expected. The onion rings were perfectly light and crispy. I decided to take advantage of the chance to try their desserts too, and so I went with the top recommended coconut cake. It was pretty forgettable. My husband's omelet was as hoped, and they let him sub his carby sides for avocado. We'll still come back, but when I come back on keto, I'll know I'm not missing much on the rest of the menu.

Now it's been many years since I've been home but it's a craving that is always there and hard to fill. Cafe 290 does just that! Great home cooked meals, typical Diner sized portions (very large) and breakfast at any time of the day! Let's be honest, it's never the wrong time for breakfast! It feels like you are sitting in your home kitchen, the staff are very nice, and the atmosphere is typical Texas Diner, and there is nothing wrong with that! Few pictures, and good ole classic cheeseburger! 1lb of meat... good luck, taste great but sheesh, it's hefty, the quesadilla is 10/10 with chicken, idk why it just bangs every time! And the very classic egg omelette! Get the diced potatoes, it's all divine! LASTLY and probably most important! THEY HAVE HOMEMADE CAKE AND PIE by the slice. It's expensive, listen to me here, it's worth the price, massive slices and fresh every day and THEY ARE INCREDIBLE!

We're so glad we gave it a try! Buns on the Run ATX is among 3-4 other food trucks at its location--it might not be preferable to eat outside with this heat, but know that this spot does have a covered seating area with a good amount of benches to sit in and enjoy your meal. We were greeted by a very nice woman inside who took our order. I went basic this time around and ordered a Cheeseburger with a side of fries. The seasoning on both was perfect and the patty was SOOOO soft and juicy. The buns used were airy and soft as well. Ugh. It was just delicious, I regretted not getting the double patty. Not sure what their sauce includes and I don't want to guess and be super wrong, but it did contribute to the overall taste of the burger. The fries had a seasoning that also gave them great flavor, they were right in the perfect middle between crisp and soft, which I personally like! Skip the fast food and make your way here and enjoy something local and fresh!! Definitely will be back!!

David got me water and took my order right away, and the kitchen had my tacos out in what felt like no time at all, probably within five minutes. What I appreciated most was how smooth everything was. David kept my water full without me having to ask, and when I asked for a bag and foil to take a taco home, he brought salsa with it because he already knew I'd probably want some. Small details like that make a difference. The hosts were friendly, the kitchen was efficient, and the overall experience was exactly what you'd hope for when stopping in for a quick meal. We had some queso with hamburger and guacamole for the table. I was fairly certain I didn't want to try it but I did and I actually thought it was delicious. The red and green salsas were both very good. I got the camerones al mojo de ajo. Very good - beans even better. The shrimp were claimed to be in a light garlic sauce - I'd say rather it was an incredibly strong garlic sauce - but I love garlic and I'm here for it. But to be sure, I think I will smell garlic for a least the next day (if not more). Got the Mexican martini at the happy hour price. Great price! Very confused at the drink - sweet with olives. Not bad - just don't know quite all what it was, but to be sure I did drink it. Very solid place - would go back again for sure!
