I love Longhorn steakhouse and my husband and I frequently make this our date night destination, but I don't think we will return to this location and instead opt for the Marlborough location. The service wasn't great. We were greeted quickly and had our drink orders taken and delivered, but then we didn't see our server for a half hour. I had asked for waters with our drink order, which I had to go ask the bartender for, since our server Ashley was MIA and the other 2 servers were avoiding eye contact with me. Managed to finish our food before she came back. The manager did come to check on us, but I wasn't super comfortable telling him that the service wasn't great in person. Sorry. We went last Friday right before it got really busy with our toddler. They were able to put in her Mac and cheese for us right away which kept her occupied while we ate. The fresh bread was nice. I got the filet and it was cooked perfectly. The house salad was chock full of stuff and the mashed potatoes were tasty. My husbands steak was also cooked well and he loved the mac and cheese side. The toddler meal is just easy Mac but the adult side was full of different tasty cheeses. We did have a hard time tracking our waiter down at the end but they have a QR code you can use to pay and we did that instead. read more

The place was packed... the restaurant itself was dirty. A loaf of bread on the dining room, napkins etc. the staff should do a better job at keeping up with the cleanliness. The bathroom had no hand soap or hand sanitizer, with lots of trash all over the floor as well. Food was good for the price point! Service was decent. I'm torn between Longhorn and Jimmy's for the best casual steakhouse on the north shore. The ambiance is OK. Way nice than a Chili's but not a Davios. Service is very friendly and effective. Not overly chatty (I'm looking at you, Davios). Fryer was broken last time but hey forced me to eat a salad. Steak is surprisingly decent for the price point. Had a great meal in Reading. Chopped sirloin was well seasoned and the onions and mushrooms a great addition. Salad and house dressing fresh and crisp as usual. Spoke with Tiffany the manager that evening about a few non food issues and she was very responsive and helpful. She referred my concerns to her boss who was also very responsive and helpful. The glass doors were stained by lots of finger prints and smears, rug was cluttered with all kinds of stuff, the floors were covered with lots of items such as napkins, straws, food, etc on them. There has been a dirty bucket on top of a booth for staff to use, it's disgusting! Remove that! Food was good i usually always sit at the bar the waitress was so off and horrible with service and communication. I don't know if maybe it was cause i was black or she didn't think i would tip . But coming from nothing to something i always tip above and beyond. I don't know where to begin. I will start with service we sat at the bar and the service was awful. My wife ordered rack of ribs no sauce came out with sauce and all fat. Manager came over to ask how everything was and told him about ribs. He said i will get you another rack again came out with sauce. that was it he gave her a piece of cake on the house to go. I had 6oz filet looked like and tasted like a well done hamburger and a loaded baked potato that was made yesterday. Dirty dishes left on bar in front of us until we left. We slid down to open seats on the bar so we could enjoy our drink. Bar is next to kitchen and all you heard was loud talking amongst employees. This is our first time at Longhorns for a while and we were pleasantly surprised. The T-bone steak was seasoned well and cooked as I asked, and the chicken my wife got was tasty. We got the roasted corn on the cob and sweet potato sides. The service was fine. The decor is fun. We got there for an early dinner and by the time we left, the lot was full. One warning, unlike most steakhouses that give you the steak knife separately, Longhorns wraps their very sharp steak knives in the napkins with the fork and spoon. I started off with the firecracker chicken wraps and I will say that these tasted really great and I'd recommend them for everyone else. The avocado lime dip that comes with it is probably what makes it as good as it is. However, I think my entree was pretty lackluster and I believe they only offer it during lunch hours from 11-3 so I think they knew the sandwich isn't really much of a stand out. It was decently crunchy but I just thought there wasn't enough flavor to it. The fries that come with it aren't that special either, it was just pretty average which I feel you can't expect more from a chain restaurant like Longhorn. This review is for the location at plaistow rd in haverhill massachusetts. The waitress was okay. We gave her our order and she brought some bread. A few moments later we were informed that they were out of broccoli. We could have a salad as a side or for an upcharge we could have asparagus or something else(i cant remember). We said that we didn't feel we should pay an up charge as you were out of what we wanted. Anyways time went by and tables that came in after us were getting their food. We were there almost an hour and still no food. We asked the waitress to check on it and she came back and said it wasn't ready and will be ready in a few minuets. When an hour had gone by we got up and left. They at least should have been forth coming and said they had forgot the order or an minimum they did ours out of order and did orders for people who cam in after us.
