The many times I've gone to Longhorn I've been quite pleased with food and service. The menu is superb and has a great selection of foods. I think my favorite appetizer is now the homecooked chips. The steaks have always been consistent and perfectly done. I've never had bad service but it also isn't a stand-out in the service area compared to other restaurants in town. The decor is perfect for a steak house and is comfortable. Good draft beer and margarita selections as well. I tend to prefer it over Chilis or Outback. read more

Arrived there mid afternoon today. Took longer than expected to be waited on but the waitress was pleasant and polite. We both ordered the mushroom Swiss burger with fries. The meat was tasty but the roll was so greasy that oil ran down our hands and we ended up eating it with a fork, after removing the greens and roll. The fries appeared warmed over and were over cooked....one of the most disappointing meals we have ever had. I will not go there again for lunch. Possibly it was too near end of lunch time? Quite simply one of the beat and most reasonable places to get a steak in the Burlington area. Yes it is a chain but they do a good job and if you watch out for the times they put on special deals you can get a nice meal for a great price. Yes steak is still better grilled at home if you know what you're doing but Longhorn does fit the bill if you want a reasonably priced steak out. And btw based on my experience they are much better than the Outback in Burlington. read more

Called longhorn restaurant and ordered a 12 oz prime rib medium rare and a 7 peppercorn steak salad one of my favorites. Was told it would be ready in 25 to 30Minutes. Was there in 25 minutes to pick it up. They had no record of the order!!! I explained I had just called in and was told 25 to 20 minutes. The manager said she would speak with the two hostesses who take the orders. The manager told me They both denied taking the order and She would be able to have it ready in 20 minutes. Basically not giving any credibility to my previous order indicating I was a liar. I have spent hundreds of dollar with this company and now will look somewhere else for quality food! Usually the food here is really good. Today I was disappointed with the coffee (it tasted old). My entree included the asparagus, which was overcooked. The spinach feta chicken sounded better than it tasted. My daughter has a huge end piece chunk of tomato on her sandwich, which she had to remove in order o eat the sandwich. I go to the Williston Longhorn often and always enjoy it. Tonight there was an obnoxiously loud party of six near us that made having a conversation at our table near impossible. When we mentioned it to our server she explained away the behavior as overly boisterous when she should have called over the manager to get them to quiet down. We went to Longhorn on Easter evening with two friends and waited for my wife to get off work. We were at the bar till my wife called and was on thee way, we went to the hostess who pointed to a table for us. After ten minutes interrupteded thhostesses from texting to ask about our server. She assured me someone would be right over. After another 5 minutes I asked again about a server. One of my friends went to the bar and the bartender ended up coming into the dining room to serve us while the hostestexteded away. Threstaurantnwasn'tnt very busy and there was plenty of help (they were cleaning tables all around us). Longhorn is my must go place but I am having second thought of this place. Very disappointed and the food was very bad. Steak was not cooked the way I requested. Ordered prime rib rare and discussed with the waitress to make sure they had rare and what rare meant. When the meal came the prime rib was not rare, it was medium at best. Unfortunately I was not at the table when it was delivered and people other than the waitress deliver the food so it wasn't noticed upon delivery to the table. By the time the waitress came to check on us (and she did immediately then see it was not rare) my family was over half done and I was sitting there having eaten just the potato. She offered another meal but by the time it would have come out my family would have been done and ready to leave. At no time did a manager come over to apologize nor was I offered anything complimentary to help my unsatisfaction, which is standard practice in the restaurant industry. I had a great shrimp & lobster chowder, pleasantly spicy, and the 6oz filet was really tender and perfectly medium rare as I had asked. One of the best steaks I've ever had. The service was good. The restaurant atmosphere is casual with southwestern decor. read more

I'm not a chain fan, however, long horn has great steak, fresh veggies and great service. I try and watch what I eat and their flavorful under 500 6oz renegade sirloin with steamed veggies and a cup of their lobster shrimp chowder is amazing. Highly recommend this if you are watching your weight but still enjoy eating flavorful food :) read more

We hadn't been back for a few months, but coming back was soooo sweet. We usually share a chicken parmesan dinner, along with getting their new salad with cherries, oranges and blackberry dressing. It's just a great dining experience and very consistent. It smells so good just walking up the restaurant, we've never had a bad meal here, very nice, atmosphere is good too. I stopped by to have a steak and a glass of wine. I went to the bar thinking I would be served quicker since I was alone. It took the bartender quite sometime to come out, didn't even see him 5minutes. Emily came to my rescue and was great the whole time I was there. The steak came out over cooked and the asparagus was very over cooked. She happily took the steak back. The secret weapon however is Kia (not sure of spelling). If secretly want to meet Penny from the Big Bang Theory then you are in luck! Not only could she be Kaley Cuoco's sister, but she is just as good a waitress. Actually she is much better than Penny if you are a fan of the show! My husband and I have been to this rstaurant many times. We have never experienced such a bad dinner. We were with our daughter and family who were taking us out to dinner for our anniversary. Our waiter (Rob) was distracted and didn't get the salad dressing right. He brought root beers for our grandchildren( ages 10 and 5) and didn't even offer a straw. Half our dinners came the other half 10 minutes later. When asked about what sides there were; he said " They are listed in the menu". I had the outlaw ribeye and my grill master was Eric. I called the manager over and had to have her get Eric to my table so I could personally compliment him on the amazing job he did with my meal. It was nothing short of breathtakingly flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium rare. One reason I don't eat out often is because I'm unable to have such an enjoyable dining experience.
