Tried this place because of Uber Eats and tried to cancel my order within 30 seconds of placing it by accident because I wanted to add more food, but Uber did not allow it since the restaurant was "already preparing" the order. However, I am so glad they did not allow me to because the food was terrible! Ordered a BBQ burger and Philly cheesesteak, both with fries. Fries were rock hard, not even cold because of the delivery, but so hard you couldn't bite them. My cheesesteak had so many gristles in the meat that I could barely eat it at all from having to spit out a gristle every 5 seconds, and the burger was just OK nothing extraordinary. Tried calling the restaurant to complain about the order but of course there was no answer, so I had to contact Uber Eats about the issue with food quality and am waiting to hear back. Overall I would not recommend this place to anyone!! read more

Two weeks ago my husband and I went to try out your restaurant there was an hour wait. So we decided to pass. Today April 20th we decided to try again. We're told it was a 20 min wait for my husband, my mom, our 4 months old baby and myself. They asked if we want a high top we said no we would wait for a small table or booth because of the baby. 10 minutes later they said they had a table ready for us. We sat at a booth reviewed the menu then 3 minutes later a waitress came over to tell us that the table was busted however the folks sitting here are still in the restaurant. So they told us we could go to a high top or get back on the waiting list. The waitress basically told us to get out of the booth. So we packed up and left. First off I have a small child and getting him in and out so quickly isn't easy. We were shocked that she wanted us out of table. We were embarrassed as people around us over heard and saw us being told to leave the table. I have never in my life experienced that let alone to a family with a small children. This is now the last straw for us. I will never go back to this restaurant nor will I recommend it to anyone. I am shocked on how we were treated. As we exited the booth no one acknowledge us from the wait staff so we said thank you and walked out. I can't believe this is how they treat people. Absolutely ridiculous. I didn't get any name of the waitress but she needs to ensure she connects with management on how to further approach customers in such situations. We got seated and were ready to order to then be told to exit from our table due to a mix up that wasn't our fault. Customer service to which is beyond the need of help. Thank you but will we never be returning. If I could give this place no star I would. This literally happen on April 20th at 6:46pm. read more

Stopped by for trivia night, that was entertaining. Getting eaten by mosquitos while sitting inside....not entertaining. Ordered a drink at 6:55 pm, got it at 7:44, NOW THAT's SERVICE (NOT). Waitress went MIA for 15 minutes and other employees had to go looking for her. Then she couldn't even remember my drink. While she was MIA I went to the bar to get a drink and the bar tender didn't even know who the waitress was and wouldn't get me a drink. She did offer to go find the waitress. Thanks, but I didn't ask for her, just wanted the drink. I gave it 2 stars because trivia was entertaining and Bar has potential to be cool if they lose the staff. They probably could make more money if you could get more than 1 drink in 2 hours. If you go for trivia be sure to wear bug spray and bring your own drinks! It took forever to get our order, drinks took even longer and even getting a sundae seemed impossible. Then when the bill can it was completely wrong. This was our 3rd time ordering from Lookout Tavern. I had the loaded nachos, my husband had the california burrito and my son had the sliders. The loaded nachos had no flavor and they did not give us enough queso. The california burrito's carne asada was tough. My son's burger wasn't cooked through. We always had a great experience ordering out from Lookout and were highly disappointed tonight. I think if we order out again, i will stick to the wings (they're delicious!). read more

I reserved a table the other weekend for the mike Tyson fight for $30 and your website does not show for how many guests. It just assumes a 6top. We got there and it was packed. When we told the gentleman about our reservation after he learned it was just the two of us, he threw up his hands like a toddler and told us he guesses we could sit there. We go to our table, feeling guilty we politely let them know that we didn't need this table. They made room for a small table or two in the corner which was nice. HOWEVER, they only offered a reduce rate to where our table costs $20. Wait what?!? Why not comp the whole thing? Then, my fiancé orders her meal and the chicken she ordered was bright pink! Lookout tavern, the least you could have done was not to have charged us for the table after we approached about moving! Needless to say, if that's your policy to still charge, well lol I won't be going there again. read more

This place is all style with no substance. I ordered chicken tenders with coleslaw. The chicken tenders were poor quality and looked like something someone would find in a cheap frozen dinner from Circle K. They tasted that way too. My lunch companion ordered potato salad with his burger. Said the potato salad tasted like a poor grade, store bought version. Thought the menu items were pricey too in relation to food quality and portion size. Won't be going back, and won't recommend to others. read more

This was our second time to visit. Bar service was great. Music tonight at 530 with children including toddlers in high chairs was a little too loud. Our first visit I had the popcorn which was very greasy. My husband had the christo sandwich with waffle fries and that was good. The waffle fries were actually great. Tonight I ordered the happy hour nachos everything was cold the cheese was watery and again cold. I did not finish even a 1/4th of the dish. My husband had the burger. First time to Lookout Tavern - disappointing. A friend suggested we grab a drink at this relatively new sports bar in North Phoenix. Some good things, some bad - and a reason we won't be visiting again. The Service - friendly but somewhat inattentive (even though the restaurant was not overly crowded at 4-5p on a Sunday). The atmosphere - engaging and eclectic (a smaller replica of The District in the Bar District in Scottsdale). The food - typical "bar" food. The order: A margarita, a couple pints of beer and an appetizer. We ordered the Cheezy Buffalo Chicken Bites (5 round balls) for $10 - a bit on the pricey side, but the menu description looked appealing. We each took a bite - cold throughout. Granted similar restaurants have similar frozen appetizers stocked away to microwave for convenience, but these Cheezy Buffalo Chicken Bites arrived barely out of the bag. After flagging down our bar staff/waitress to let her know of the issue with the food, she took our plate and told us she'd get hot chicken bites out to us. Twenty minutes later, they arrived. She jokingly quipped "I know they're hot, I stuck my finger in one of them." Okay, they arrived hot the second time around. The Problem: NO apologies for the appetizer being cold or for us having to wait another 20 minutes for the second version to arrive at the bar. NO "Sorry about that, let us make it up to you with a discount on your appetizer, or $2 off your next beer or a coupon for a BOGO burger on your next visit because we didn't deliver your food as we were supposed to do." With so many really good Bar & Grill restaurants in the Phoenix area, we won't return to Lookout Tavern. And, we won't recommend it to anyone. That's a shame because I think this restaurant has potential. And, when it all comes down to it - you can have average food at a place like this, but if you have amazing customer service, you'll be back again and again. The management, the kitchen, the waitstaff, make mistakes in the restaurant industry, and that is understandable. But, it is the solution that makes the difference. The entire staff at Lookout Tavern missed an important opportunity to provide great customer service. And really isn't that what it's all about?! read more

My husband and I have been in several times. This place has great potential which is why we keep coming back. Great atmosphere but the music can sometimes be a little loud for the time of day. Service is VERY hit or miss and more of a miss considering how many are staffed at the bar. However, the girls are cute so we give them a little leeway. Food has so much potential but again hit or miss. Burgers are SOLID. My Mediterranean chicken today although seasoned perfectly was totally over cooked so I only ate half. Husband ate the other half to try it but agreed and was happy he got his burger. Sadly, our bartender never came back to check on us to ask how our lunch was. I live in the area and was looking forward to giving this place a try. Went with wifey for lunch at 1:30 on a Saturday. Fun layout and pretty good patio. Nice to have all the TVs on game day. I ordered the Margherita Pizza. It was no good. Pretty small for the price and missing the basil (which was on the menu description). When I asked the server about the missing basil, she said she'd never seen one of their pizzas with basil. "Oh well. Sorry." No offer to fix it. Even with basil, it wouldn't have been anything to write home about. Basically, sauce cheese, runny tomatoes, on a big dry cracker. My wife was not impressed with her wings, but I can't give any details about that. I loved the large draft beer selection and will probably give the place another chance on a night out. Hope they get better! It would be great to have a legit tavern with good night life in the area. We'll see... read more

It is beyond an inconvenience when the last two times I ordered the food was incorrect. I am lactose intolerant and i ordered NO cheese on my burger. Of course they put cheese on it. The worst oart when using an app like grub hub or uber eats they tell you to take the issue up with the app as opposed to just correcting or crediting the order! So done with this level of service. There are tons of TVs which is great, but it was too loud to have any conversation without yelling. The French fries are tiny and bland. The burger was big but was lacking in flavor and they don't keep ketchup on the table so all you get at first is a "shot glass" full with your meal. I also think that they'd STILL get a lot of business even if the girls weren't all wearing push-up bras and showing cleavage. I'd like to suggest sports t-shirts or jerseys. read more

When you look around there were many tables and booths open and some people sitting in those areas. I went here on Saturday evening for dinner and to watch some football. Ton of TV's. Really cool hip interior. Reminds me of some of the places in Old Town like El Hefe or Bottled Blonde during the day before they change into a club late at night. Ordered the Tito's Mule, probably the best mule I've ever had. Wings were not very hot and food and drinks were a little slow to come. Server was very nice and working hard, but it appeared they were understaffed. This is to be expected considering they have been open for less than a week. Being someone who lives right by this bar but frequents Old Town for late nights on the weekend, I am very excited to see what this place is like at midnight on a Friday or Saturday. A couple kinks to workout as far as speed of service goes, but this place has a ton of potential. They did a great job with the concept. read more

The food is good and the service was good. Not the best I ever had but solid. Had to send my medium burger back because it was mooing and my fries were cold. But the manager came over twice to make sure he apologized and then to make sure it was right then he took it off my bill plus my beer! Once I got the right burger it was pretty good, so I give it a B. Good service is critical! There was nobody under 40 in there (which makes sense given the location) But the music was super loud and aside from 2 songs wasn't anything we would listen to. We are over 40. Now it turns into more of a club after 9 so crank it up after that!! The decor and Tv's were awesome so great job there. I go to lookout tavern with my family every Wednesday for trivia night. We always sit at the same table and our server is almost always Galynne. She always does such an amazing job, our drinks are never empty, our stomachs are always full and she is always in such a good mood. This is a really nice bar. Big improvement over what was here before. Only problem I have is why does the valet have all the parking spots? They are all at the door! My experience is valet is always s around back at locations. All the open spots are taken by white cones. So if I valet I park at the door, I need to top for that? Besides that I love this place. My impression was less than favorable. My drink was terrible. I asked for a certain (flavored) vodka and tonic. When I remarked about drink the waitress told me that the bartender was out of Smirnoff Grapefruit so he poured plain and added a splash of grapefruit juice and then added soda! No one asked if that was ok with me...and I didn't find out until I asked the waitress why the drink was so strange (poor is more accurate). There was almost no booze in it either...really bad. I ordered their nacho plate. It was NOTHING like nachos. For a city with some of the finest Mexican fare this was a total joke. It had no resemblance to anything Mexican I've ever tested. What a giant disappointment. When they seated us it was game night and we were next t a screen that was totally "snowed" out. If you have great expectations, don't go there....find another place. Service was ok...novices...in fact the whole thing was amateurish. Too bad because there's a need in that neighborhood for something top notch. Hope you have a better experience than I did. Tonight my husband and I came to the bar to have some dinner. A bartender who is short with long brown hair had an attitude with a customer that was uncalled for. You're stating that he moved twice and it bothered you? Yet you're the one making him pay twice? I'm sorry, but one of those moves happened because an employee asked him to move down to accommodate her, a friend, and her mother. Maybe your employees shouldn't be allowed at the bar. Oh.. and you complaining that there is 4 of you working behind the bar and he didn't tip enough is ridiculous. Yeah there were four of you... but you would rather talk to one another than give customers service. You would rather talk to your employees who are sitting at the bar than serve your customers. You would rather look at your phone than serve. I'm sorry, but you don't deserve a full tip. Learn how to respect customers because there is a great atmosphere and good food. Had higher expectations for this place.....But after waiting forever for our server, we learned there was an apparent mix up regarding their sections. We ordered drinks and they were out of the beer I wanted. We ordered food and they were out of chicken fingers. Long waits between ordering drinks and ordering food and getting the food and getting the check. Food was lukewarm (at best) when it came out, even the cheese on our nachos and the chips themselves were cold (ew). I ordered a chicken sandwich and my husband had a flatbread pizza....no ketchup or anything for my fries, a barely warm sandwich, and an overdone barely warm pizza. Needless to say, we were not impressed. Finally we got the check, but had to wait a good 15 minutes again for our server to come pick it up. I'm now sitting in the car writing this review and waiting for my husband to get his card back just so we can eventually leave. My daughter and I had a delightful experience experience at Lookout Tavern today! We had previously visited this establishment to watch football games and the occasional lunch, and I had always been pleased by the casual, laid-back atmosphere. Today was especially nice as we celebrated Mother's Day together and The tavern had specials for mothers day. My daughter and I savored juicy Patty melts and Philly cheesesteak's as well as very nice cocktails on the patio. My daughter had a special request--beer battered fries with cheese which the chef was happy to prepare! Our server, Jessica, could not have been sweeter. We will definitely be back. read more

Was really excited to try this place out as it's close to home. Unfortunately didn't work out so well. It was packed as UofA and ASU game was on. We asked how long the wait was for a table for 2 and were told that there was 1 couple in front of us. They were seated right away so we knew we were next. After about 10 min a family of 6 came in and they were told the wait was 30 min. 5-10 min later a table opened up and the hostess sat the family. My husband went to the hostess and told her we should have been next, her reply was "well that's a bigger table". We understand that your still working out the kinks, but hopefully customer service gets better!!! read more
