was there 2x to try there buffalo wings and the first time i told them that they gave me bbq wings and they apologized. so i gave it another shot and before i ate them i tasted the sauce and to my surprise they said no thats buffalo wings sauce. It had the same consistency as bbq sauce not even close to buffalo wings witch would have a hot sauce and butter in it. last time ill ever go there. especially because if your not a regular there the waitresses do not even talk to you and if you get the older retired lady its like being with your mother she is constantly putting your glass back on the napkin , i guess she doesn't want to clean up after you leave. sorry guys never again. read more

This place is a hidden gem. You can get a snack, a sandwich, or a a full dinner. Food is delicious and reasonably priced. I was fortunate enough to be there during their Octoberfest celebration. I pass this bar all the time, so I finally decided to go with some friends. The atmosphere is decent, the service was not bad, I felt bad Jen the server was by herself. The menu is crazy!! I showed up for a dinner with my family and walked out before the food came an hour later. My brother ordered a rack of ribs off the menu. 15 minutes later we were told that they no longer sell ribs. Why is it on the menu? Why did it take 15 minutes to find that out? Can't say. After that the server offered the short ribs as a substitute, obviously not knowing that it is not just a shorter version of what was ordered. After 30 minutes we asked where his caesar salad was and we were told that it takes a very long time to make one of those(no, it really doesn't). Eventually a small 8" very sad looking salad came out(it was $6!). At the one hour mark, or close to it we said we were leaving but wanted to pay for our beers first(by the way CLEAN YOUR BEER LINES. Once a year should do it) They owner(?) came out and said that we "can't" leave without giving a reason. She was mistaken. This is a bar. It doesn't even look like a well run bar. It is not a restaurant. Restaurants provide training to staff and deliver food in a timely manner. Maybe the food would have been outstanding, but I doubt it. The food was amazing. We ordered the chicken pot pie on New Year's eve and it was the best chicken pot pie we ever tasted. Great place to go to have a good meal and good entertainment and atmosphere. Don't order soft drinks, they are watered down. read more

We were greeted very rudely. My boyfriend and I walked 20 minutes in hopes to enjoy a good meal. The weather was beautiful and we enjoyed the walk, until we arrived. To our surprise, it is closed for construction. We both had to use a restroom, and against my comfort level, my boyfriend said he was going to use the 'Johnny on the Spot'. Well, as he got closer a man began yelling at him, "Didn't you see the signs." He mentioned the 'construction' signs about three times as if we were def or dumb. Even after my very polite boyfriend apologized and offered that we walked 20 minutes to eat at his place, he continued with his rants. I'm assuming it was Lory, who walked closer to my boyfriend in a more peaceful manner to maybe diffuse her, probably, husband's angry, inappropriate and nasty demeanor. I understand completely that no one wants someone trespassing and/or getting hurt. But once my boyfriend apologized and gave a patient explanation, one would think they'd be shown respect and courtesy back. The man waved his hand at my boyfriend telling him, 'go ahead use it, but that's why the signs are there.' We are potential customers! We were willing to walk 20 min to spend money at your establishment! It's bad business to have such a nasty interaction with anyone when you are a business owner. We can go anywhere, we can tell the world how horrible you are! The food industry is difficult enough, it doesn't make sense to be this way to someone who just told you that they intended to spend money with you. So, we got an uber and went to Labebe and had the complete opposite experience. I gave them a review as well. Maybe Lory's owners should visit Labebe to understand good business, or maybe it's not that simple. Maybe it's more about being a respectable part of society. I hate saying that, but I walked away very upset. I have never given anyone the middle finger, and it took every in me to not flip this man the bird. That's how belligerent he was. We didn't use the Johnny on the Spot, Lory and this man told us that they probably locked it up.... which is bologna. I called to my boyfriend and told him that I wanted to leave and not use it anyway. The whole thing was unreal. It is such a shame that this location is wasted on ungrateful owners. read more

such a fun friday night out!!!! great food (spinach & artichoke rangoon), CHECK! good company (best friend's birthday), CHECK! kareoke... CHECK PLUS! it gets super crowded (at least on a friday night) so if you want table space call ahead or arrive early. the food on the menu is very extensive so it's hard to choose what to indulge in - you probably want to get a bunch of things and share. friendly service and everything is reasonably priced. sure, it's a bar... but it's got a great atmosphere and you can't really beat the comfort of a neighborhood bar. definitely check it out!!! read more

A local dive bar only. Otherwise dirty, with faded, dusty plastic "flowers" and worn out table coverings. Service was okay, but it took half-an-hour for our mediocre meals to come. "Jumbo" shrimp were certainly not jumbo, overcooked and served cold. Not sure why they seem to pay so much attention to the outside, since there are "No Trespassing" signs everywhere. A VERY comfortable, great-looking place in a gorgeous setting, with really cold draft beer. Would get 4 stars even if food was so-so. I just went to Lory's this past Friday night and had the most terrible experience. NEVER will I eat there again, or give this establishment my business. Not only was the eatery packed to capacity and there were only TWO bartenders on staff, it took 40 minutes to get one drink! The staff was extremely rude. The owner, Tom (or Todd?) made it a point to greet every single guest and all his 'regulars' except for my party, which you would think he would want to thank new customers for coming in and network. There was also another staff member an older female with short blonde hair that was rude and kept staring at my whole party like a hawk the whole time. Oh and the food? The food was cold, and most certainly there was a hair in my mushroom sandwich! My advice? Save your money and dine at a place that the staff actually treats you nicely. I have worked in the hospitality/restaurant industry since I was 15 years old, and I am disgusted that owners like this exist. Best of luck Lory's Lakeside, but I will never be back again. read more

I would give this place no stars if I could. I recently had a party here. BOY does Todd the owner nickel and dime you to death! The price starts out reasonable and low, and every single thing is added in, including soda! Soda is not included in a price for a catered party!!!! There is a 40 person minimum, and I told him I would have approximately 48 people. I had 46 show up. He makes you wear these ridiculous wrist bands so you do not cheat him on his money. After the food was finished being served I went to him and said that I had two people not show. He told me he would not adjust the bill down for the two people that would not be eating, and would not give me food for 2 to take home, but I should "enjoy" the wristbands because I paid for them!!!! Enjoy them how? We had ordered (for a separate price of course) a cake, which for some reason is also not included in the catering price. Guess what??? It didn't come with coffee!! I had to pay extra for coffee for my guests, and by the cup The best is that I then had to pay tax on the mandatory s20% service charge for the wait staff. I am pretty sure it is illegal to charge tax on a tip My husband had settled the bill, so I didn't see it until I got home. I immediately called Todd to ask why I had to pay tax on a tip, but he couldn't come to the phone. No surprise that even after I called 2 more times, he has not returned my call..Todd was nothing but inflexible the entire time we were trying to plan this thing. What a turn off. I will never ever go to this place again nor would I recommend it to anyone looking to cater a party. It is a nice atmosphere by the lake, but I will be passing the word around to stay away.
