Everytime I go I'm dissappointed with the freshness of the meat. I ordered tacos de lengua (cow tongue) and the tongue was not tender how it should be and I should know since I grew up with authentic homemade Mexican food. People seem to like this place, maybe its just the tacos that they need to work on? Really love the food here and that by itself would get 5 stars. However, we've been using the online ordering and every single time it never gets to the people in the truck. Why do you have the online system? Then today at first they forgot the chips we had ordered, so we did get that. I love eating out at food trucks. Los Chilangos has good variety. Lately, I have seen their quality also improve. I always order Torta Lengua from them and it used to be very obnoxious before. But now it tastes good and also the quantity of salt has gone down. Which is always good. People can always add more salt if they want. I don't expect 5 star customer service from a taco truck but I do expect a semblance of someone caring about running a proper business. STAY AWAY! Especially if you need to rely on someone to show up for an event. We scheduled them to arrive for lunchtime, and a few hours before, they cancelled without reason. Trying to support local and small businesses, we happily rescheduled for the following week. The following week on the day THEY selected, WE NEVER HEARD FROM THEM. We called, emailed and texted multiple times - as we just wanted to know the status - they completely IGNORED us. At this time, as small business struggle (and it seems this small business is struggling financially based on requests for loans), they are quite selective on money making opportunities. After reading other reviews, this doesn't seem to be a one-time issue, but more of the norm. read more

I love tacos trucks, however, this one was a huge let down. The meat quality was horrible. I was given the wrong order, I order tacos al pastor and was given carne asada tacos. The meat was stringy and had no flavor. The asada meat was tough and I couldn't even eat it. I definitely will not be going back. read more

Best street tacos I've had in a while! Al Pastor was amazing!!! Their Horchata is LEGIT.

Got a chance to enjoy a gorgeous sunny lunch hour with Kristin while testing out the taco truck down the street. She's had their wares previously from other locations they set up camp, but it was new to me. They seem to hold up a steady business, but they move the line through quickly. Two stand-by tables in front and one picnic table in the back, otherwise it's eat in the car or head back to the office. I went with the Chupa Cabras burrito. A mix of carne asada and chorizo stuffed with a little of everything into a 13" shell. I guess, overall, I'm not incredibly impressed. There was nothing wrong with the burrito, per se, there just wasn't anything all that special about it. But maybe that's not their problem. Maybe that's because it's a huge burrito, super fast, from a freaking truck on the side of the road--but the trendiness and current obsession with the food truck "movement" (seriously, a movement???) -- gives so much hype to the whole thing what chance do you have at being "wow-ed" more than once or twice upon a dozen? For a burrito so big, I personally couldn't finish it and took off with leftovers, super close to work, for their really good prices and a lunch date with Kristin--I'm totally happy with it. To be really into it, though, I think they should season more. There was no real stand out flavor or texture at all, and there should have been at least one in a burrito with 27,000 things in it. If nothing else, they really, really need to season the meat. I can deal with bland-ish beans or avocado that is just there, but for the meat to be just as meld together into not much was a bummer. Given their proximity and cheapness to work, on days I don't head elsewhere for lunch coffee dates and other meet-ups, I'm going to keep them in mind and see if I can find the menu option that works better or just have accurate expectations when I need a quick bite. They have a breakfast menu and salads as well as the tortas, tacos, and burritos you'd expect. Service is super fast and friendly, so that's always good, too. read more

This place is so great!! The service is fast and friendly and the food is SO good. I usually get the chicken quesadilla with mild sauce and it's probably the best i've had anywhere in the US or Mexico. I go here about once every two weeks even though they are located about 2 miles from Downtown Bellevue and it takes me about 10 minutes to get there on my lunch. What's nice is that they have a small convenient parking lot right up front. Here's a tip; if you don't want your car getting dusty from their gravel parking lot, I suggest parking parallel to their truck on the street. read more

I've tried them a few times at different spots. Mostly farmers markets. Overall it's ok. I tried this particular location because it's located close to my friend's work, and the weather was nice. I ordered 3 different tacos. One al pastor, one cabeza and one chupa cabra(a mixture of carne asada and chorizo). The only stand out for me was the chup cabra, the chorizo was the only meat with any real flavor. The al pastor was bland, bland, bland, which is very surprising. I grabbed some salsa to add flavor to it, but I guess it was the mild variety, because that too didn't have much flavor. I remember having good breakfast burritos here in the past, and I did really enjoy the chupa cabra, but I would skip the other meat options. read more

This is just a food truck, right? But wait - it's a food truck with delicious food, reasonable prices, and very friendly service. Love it! If you like beer, Los Chilangos parks at Black Raven on Sundays and will deliver your order right to your table. Doesn't get much better than that. UPDATE: They don't park at Black Raven anymore, which is unfortunate. But their food is as good as ever. This food truck is a block or two from my work place. Their food is AMAZing :D although there are only 6-7 things to choose from but all of them are great. I usually get the quesadillas, tacos or burritos. A coworker and I purchased the Yelp offer here and shared al pastor tacos, a carnitas torta and horchatas. First of all, you get a lot of food for your money. The 3 tacos for $5.25 are generously sized -- they fill up an entire large plate. The torta was at least a 6" sandwich, if not longer. Overall, the taste was amazing. The al pastor was the best I've had outside of mexico. Just the right amount of spice balanced by a hearty amount of pineapple on top. The horchata was the best I've had, hands down. And they don't fill your cup with ice first, so you get lots of it. The torta was the only slightly disappointing part of the meal, and I blame it solely on the carnitas. All the sandwich ingredients were fresh and tasty, but the carnitas seemed bland. I would recommend they put an avocado spread or aioli with that meat. Next time I'd get al pastor because that was so flavorful. My only real complaint about this place - but not worth taking a star off - was that they were completely clueless about the Yelp offer that's on here. At first she told us that they weren't on Yelp yet, though the sign on the side of the truck clearly listed all of their social channels, including Yelp. Wut? After conversing with her coworker they decided to honor the deal, but then she was confused by the fact that we had already paid for it - she thought we still needed to pay. So, hopefully that's a non-issue now that they've dealt with one. But be prepared that you may need to explain it to them. And if you do get a Yelp offer, take two people. $23 dollars buys a lot! read more

I work right next to it, but even if I didn't, I'd still travel all the way down from Tacoma for this taco truck. The staff is kind and courteous, some are even funny. The food itself is fairly priced, $8 is their most expensive item (burrito) and it's much larger than chipotles. But here's what they have that NOBODY else does: the chumparrado. While driving in Bellevue yesterday, I decided I wanted some grub from a spot I had not I had not tried before. Given my affinity for Taco Trucks (I used to live in Pasco and ate at them all the time) I went and checked out Los Chilangos yesterday for a quick bite. After peeping out the reviews, I had high hopes. I stepped up and placed my order: 3 Asada tacos, 2 Tacos Al Pastor. About 5 minutes later, it was ready. This was the moment where my taste buds were to explode with happiness! Instead... it underwhelmed like Jay-Z's Magna Carta Holy Grail. The Asada was very plain, the meat didn't have any seasoning. The Al Pastor was a little better, but was greasy for my tastes. A couple of things that I will give props for: The hot sauce (green) was tasty with some zip and the portions are good sized. I don't know if I'll ever come back here, there are just too many food options out there that are better. I thought I would dig Los Chilangos, but when it was all said and done, que lastima is what first comes to mind. read more

I was working in a project office two blocks away for the last the months and, of course, I didn't find this delicious taco truck until my last day out here. The meat choices have expanded from the menu listed online. I had a Chupa Cabras burrito (carne asada mixed with chorizo) that was about the size of my thigh. I ordered the spicy version and it was just about perfect. If you're looking for some quick, tasty, filling Mexican food, this is your place. This truck is also parked by Black Raven Brewery in Redmond on Sundays. Just what I needed, another reason to head to the bar. read more
