The salsa that came out first however was pretty watery and had very little flavor. The Jumbo Shrimp were not big at all. Had a pretty funky taste like they had been sitting out prior to cooking. Sent back and the offered another plate for replacement, they handled the situation very gracefully. Chicken enchiladas were a little on the small side but were definitely the highlight of the meal! We have eaten breakfast here before and had no issues. Today, my family of Mexican decent went again for breakfast and requested a table for 7. We were told we could not be seated until everyone from our party had arrived. My father informed them that my sister and brother in law were in parking lot and were getting my young nephew out of the car seat. The car was parked close to the entrance and you could see it from the window. Staff still refused to seat us. Meanwhile a caucasian male walked in alone and requested a table for 4. He was seated right away with no question of where the other members of his party were. We still had not been seated. I find this to be racial motivated and horrible horrible service. Mind you, the restaurant was not busy, many tables were available and many staff were just standing around and not busy. My family will not be returning to this establishment. read more

The cheese enchiladas wasn't to my liking. It was a little hard and the cheese wasn't to my liking. It did have a lot of yellow cheese so maybe you might like it. The lunch special platter had a good amount of food so if you are hungry, it would be a good choice. They have affordable lunch prices. The chips were warm when they served it with the salsa and it was good. They didn't refill my water at anytime so the service wasn't the best. It wasn't that busy. They service was friendly, but never did they follow up other than seating me, taking my order, serving my food, and giving me my bill. There is plenty of parking. So this place has its pros and cons. First impression walking in; its very dark, not very many ppl so it's pretty quiet, and it's kinda in need of a good deep cleaning. Dust is pretty obvious on the decor and ceiling fixtures. The food, which we only had the chips and salsa that come to every table and the bean and cheese nachos was pretty basic. Bland, not spicy and needing salt. The chips are thin and crispy but the salsa tastes mostly like tomatoes with not spice or other flavors. As for the pros, the waiter was high energy and very friendly. When we asked about happy hour, he let us in on the little secret that all their specialty cocktails are always 5$, so that was cool. The drinks were strong and tasty but they took a while to come out of the bar. With only four tables occupied it took a lot longer than it should have. A very disappointing experience today. I ordered 7 breakfast tacos for pickup, per the website the tacos were $1.99. When I picked up the order they charged $2.89 per taco. ( I've posted screenshots of the prices and tacos I got. My order was 3 egg chorizo, 1 egg ham, potato chorizo, 2 bacon egg, total =$22.86). The cashier said people comment about the disparity in prices posted on the internet and said the customers make the error in not thoroughly scrolling the listed prices. As today is my birthday, I decided not to argue and thought well maybe it's worth the cost, so I paid and left. When I got home and opened the tacos it was even more disappointing. Even worse than the misleading prices, the tacos hardly any filling. Absolutely disappointing as I feel conned by the high price and low quality food. I will never again give my service to this restaurant. It is overpriced, low quality food and poor customer service. I hope the restaurant reads this review and makes changes to address these issues. Until then for anyone considering eating here, save your time and money and go elsewhere. read more

This place always looks packed but inside has plenty of room. Not in our part of town so haven't had many opportunities to stop by but glad we did today. Very fresh and yummy salsa and fresh chips. I ordered the puffy taco plates with rice and beans. My hubby ordered the 3 beef enchilada plate. Both of us truly enjoyed our meals. Super friendly service, hot, fresh and delicious. Had enough food to bring leftovers home for a later meal. Nice touch was that the server brought me a small cup with a lid so I could bring the salsa home too! Family went there on a whim and we were not disappointed! First off, the staff was super kind. We were greeted and seated almost immediately. The menu has a great variety of Mexican dishes with fun names. My oldest got the Pancho Villa. I got the Chile relleno. The plates are huge! And the meals were amazing. We all left satisfied and brought home the leftovers. The atmosphere was chill for a Friday night. Even though they were busy, it wasn't overwhelmingly loud. RIP OFF!!! After getting new battery at Sears down the road at Rolling Oaks Mall, my hubby and I stopped in here for breakfast 11/16 10am. I originally requested a little Taqueria and this is what he chose... not the same.. especially in pricing. He said he knew his co worker would meet his bike club here to start off their runs so it had to be good. We were sat in the corner with the speaker blaring in my ear. I am sensitive and it really bothered me. They turned it down, but little by little, it kept getting turned back up... so not cool... He had two breakfast tacos. I had chilaquiles. They were ok. nothing to go back for. From the beginning, I did not feel comfortable here... now on to what happened... We get the check... we were charged for two teas AND a side of beans... ???!!! We spoke to the server who went to the manager... the manager came over so we could explain the situation. I believe if you are a manager, you should be able to communicate with your customers effectively... and not being able to speak or understand English really makes it difficult. As manager, you should also do everything in your power to make sure your guests are taken care of. This is not a little mom and pop shop... It's a large restaurant that gets a lot of business. There is a difference and I wouldn't bring this up if I didn't feel like I was being ripped off. I've been the hospitality / customer service industry practically my whole life. The manager took the teas off our check... as we drank water... we did not order tea. She did ~not~ take the 69 cent beans off our check.... what?!!! I requested whole / charro / barracho / ranchero beans instead of refried which come with the plate of chiliquiles. . The server did not tell me there would be an upcharge for the request. ... Isn't it more work to make refried than scooping a ladle for beans? ... don't refried start out as a pot of beans? ... it just doesn't make sense to me... AND I have NEVER EVER been charged a substitution of beans in the 20 years of this request. When I mentioned this to the manager, she requested that I show her where... really??? This is where communication comes in... she was either playing dumb or really wasn't getting it. She said there was nothing she could do, blah, blah, blah... You are the MANGER, that is your job, you can do a lot to make your customer happy... and you could have taken that bean charge off of the check.. apologize for this miscommunication... thank me for coming in and "hope to see you again" with a smile!!! Nope, no customer service from this manager. If we didn't check our check, Los Generales would have been at least $5 richer. If they randomly add extra charges to everyone, they are banking it! We go every Thursday. And the last 3 times we've been our food has been cold. It comes out fast so not sure why it comes out cold. The cheese on the nachos has already hardened up. We don't send our food back because we don't know what will happen when we get it back. A couple times we've gotten upset stomachs. Won't be coming back for a while. The mini tacos corn tortillas were undercooked and bland. The beef, while coming with entirely too much, is dry and bland. They didnt come with grilled onions and a jalapeno like they do at authentic place. I asked for extra limes. Recieved NONE. My boyfriend got the fajita tacos and said they were actually pretty good, but they didnt come with sour cream and guac on the side even though fajitas are traditionally served with those sides. Their customer service is horrible. I've only been here 2 times and I will never be back. I had a take out order to pick up, I was handed the order, left out to my vehicle. And the tie to the bag came undone and the order fell to the ground. I walked back inside and explained that the knot on the bag was loose and came undone and they said, "sorry that's not our fault." I explained to them again the tie to the bag was loose how is that my fault? And she said I should have carried the bag from the bottom. Someone else's take out order was brought to the counter and whoever I spoke to was explaining to them what i had just experienced and their employee then saw that knot was loose and double knotted the bag securing it more tightly. I pointed that out and they still said they were not at fault and would not replace the meals that had been paid for. HORRIBLE customer service. read more

Prices are outrageous!! $18.99 for a single-persons Fajita Plate, and the quality of the food is dull to the tatse making the meal only fair to less than average. The atmosphere was that of a empty warehouse, with much of the inner Mexican theme decor that once decorated the place; of framed photos, traditional metal statues, and such have been removed. Lighting too is darker that ever, we needed to use our cell phone flashlights to read the limitation of variety in the menu's. The signal waitress in the place, at 5PM on a Thursday, messed up twice on two of our eight orders. The tea was watered down...and the plates were without garnishes, limited spices, oily rice and refried beans tasting heavily of lard. For four children, four adults we paid just over $94.00 Far too much for one very, very bad meal. We will NOT ever return here. read more

My family and I come here most fridays for lunch. The lunch specials are super affordable. Also on weekdays they have $2 margaritas until 3pm. The staff is really friendly and always accommodating. They sneak in extra charges on your bill and they add more to their tip than you originally left them. Beware of the drive thru if you use a credit/debit card because they add a tip for themselves without your authorization! It's a very dishonestly run restaurant.
