Love this street taco stand. Great vibes and prices. Love their open condiment section. They have a table to sit and eat as well. I love their Al Pastor tacos! Service is direct and friendly. Plentiful parking in the Walgreens parking lot.

My family is in love with the al pastor. It's not greasy. It's tender, tasty and perfect. The hand made tortillas are the best. The carne asada tacos are also great, you can't go wrong with anything here. The service is fast, friendly and extremely efficient. Some of the best tacos in L.A.

Gringas: pinapple, al Pastor, and cheese between two tortillas. The only way to go. Lots of great condiments. Great ambiance.

Los Palomos is my jam. This is the best taco joint I have had in ALL of SoCal. It's just as good as (maybe even better*gasp*) than tacos el gordo. I recently had el gordo and I was not wowed because I have los palomos every week!!! I was a bit skeptical because it's an outdoor stand, but you know what? I'll risk getting Covid for these tacos. Other taco places, I eat three tacos max. Here, I eat four because it's that food. Even when I'm stuffed and I have a taco left, I make myself eat it. I always get el pastor. I've tried the lengua. It was so tender. But I always stick with el pastor because they have a constantly rotating spit of glistening marinated pork. The taco man carves thin pieces of it onto freshly made tortillas from the lady next to the stand. He then flicks a little piece of roasted pineapple to finish it off. They have a bomb toppings/salsa stand after you pay. You can top your tacos with it or pack it in little cuppies and baggies. They have fresh cukes, radishes to offset the spicy salsa. I kid you not, you are going to have some serious BM in the morning if you eat a lot of the spicy salsas. They also have diced onions and cilantro along with pickled onions/habanero (also deadly). I've tried their torta, burrito, and quesadilla. All good, but I love their tacos the best. There's always a line, so that tells you something about the food! Tacos are $2. They have days where some of the food is a special so you can get $5 burritos, etc. You can park in the CVS parking lot. I don't know if they accept Venmo or not so just bring cash to be safe.

This is a taco stand for the people. The food is cheap and the line is filled with regular folks that just want a good meal, not a bunch of people hoping to take a selfie in front of some bright, unique branding. There are plenty of options on the menu but I have only tried the tacos since I just needed a little extra food after a lighter dinner earlier. I certainly plan to come back Likes: - if you enjoy pastor, this place is for you. Like other fine stands, it rides on a trompo for maximum juiciness in every bite. I still can't over the fact that I only paid 3 dollars for two pastor tacos with cheese. Also, it's not just cheese sprinkled on top of the meat. They let the cheese melt on the flat top to a nice crunch golden brown layer - I appreciate the variety of fixings available in giant tubs. I'm guessing they're full at the end of the night and gradually go down but never actually refilled as the cooks and cashier are constantly busy delivering orders - my wait felt reasonable. They don't have problems with efficiency. They're just very busy. - it's entertaining to watch the cook slice off pastor and then cut a piece of pineapple from the top. He almost never misses a catch using the taco as a glove - there's plenty of seating Dislike - well it's been a lot darker in the evenings thanks to daylight savings so you might want to take your food home if you need a well lit table - beware of the dark red sauce. It is not for the weak. You'll want to drip it on your tacos after a light dunk of the serving spoon. My lips were on fire moments after my first bite and I'm scared I'll pay for it tomorrow. Seriously, proceed with caution unless you can definitely take the heat Other: - you might have trouble asking about the food when you're in line since many of the patrons speak little to no English. You'll be okay if you wait to the cashier, who will likely be a younger fellow that speaks perfectly good English and Spanish.

When I first moved to the area a year ago, I immediately knew I had to stop by this taco stand. Having eaten a good share of tacos in LA and SFV, I know you always get the most authentic experience eating at these family run stands/trucks. (You know its real when there's an abuela on the side cooking fresh tortillas and another family running a concha truck). There was always a long line when I drove passed so I thought it was rad that so many locals around the area also made this their go-to tacos. After a year, I still get excited to get tacos from Los Palomos. I always order the same thing, 4 tacos al pastor, and if I'm really up for a cheat day, I'll get one of their massive cups of horchata or pinas aguas fresca (warning though, if you go later on the night, which I do sometimes go right before midnight, they'll be sold out of most their drinks). I've tried their carne asada and chorizo and both are amazing, but their al pastor is just too good to pass up. A year ago, they only had tacos but they've since added quesadillas, tortas, and burritos (which is my boyfriend's go to: al pastor burrito con todo). Salsas, guac, onions, cilantro, limes, etc are all prepped in gigantic tubs to the right of the stand after you get your food and they've set up tables to sit too. I think most people just take their food, bag up their limes/salsas, and either eat in their cars or at home (it is still covid). Overall, amazing al pastor, amazing family business, amazing overall! I always recommend this place to all my friends and family that come over. Also, it used to be cash only but they added a Venmo option!!

    Al Pastor tacos and vampiro

Been eyeing this taco spot for a while and finally made the plunge. I think I originally saw it in LA Eater. I went pretty early and there was no line. I know they are known for their Al pastor so I stuck with that and got two tacos and a vampiro. The Al Pastor was very good. I enjoyed eating the vampiro better because of the cheese and crunch, but both items were good. I tried a couple of the green salsas that it came with and I think they took away from the pastor, so I preferred them dry. The staff was very nice and genuinely seemed happy to be there and serve. Great flavor. Great service. Great price. Was close to 5 stars for me.

    Aguas super frescas!

Having been to so many taco stands, I think what makes Tire Shop Taqueria really stand out are the right-off-the-grill charcoal-grilled meats, the freshly made tortillas literally in front of you as you are waiting on line, and the free guacamole that comes with each taco. The ordering process is like any other taco stand, though one difference is here the salsas/guacamole are all handled by the staff. If you'd like more of something, just ask them instead of reaching for the ladle yourself. There is a separate area though for grilled onions/peppers and radishes you can serve yourself. I got the asada, chorizo, cabeza, and al pastor, and they were all so good. The asada and chorizo are specifically grilled over charcoal, and that flavor really shines through. I loved how meaty and tender the cabeza was too, and the classic al pastor hit the spot. They have large communal tables setup, so it is a great friendly vibe to enjoy your meal I will say, the surrounding area is not the best in LA, especially given how the taco stand is only open at night. The parking lot is quite small, so I parked on a side street that had some abandoned cars, but of course, if you are in/from LA, this is not that new for us. I would hesitate if I am a tourist though to make it out here. Anyhow, the food really is worth it here, and I can't wait to be back!

We found easy street parking in the neighborhood on 41st Street, and waited in line for about 15-20 minutes. We ordered the asada tacos. They pre-sauce your tacos, which was fine by me, but my boyfriend who can't handle as much spice would've preferred it on the side (so warning for anyone similar! they do put a little habanero on them, so just ask them for salsa on the side). I think I ran into a problem of reading too many raving reviews -- these tacos were good but I was expecting them to be mind blowing, so I was a little disappointed. I tasted the charcoal char, but kind of wished the taste was more pronounced, or at least the meat more seasoned. The hand made tortillas were definitely the coolest part, but I thought they were a little dry too. The ladies whipping those out are artists though. Actually, all the workers here have the assembly line down to the tea, and they definitely add a little flare for a show. I particularly liked how they had a lot of seating at this location, instead of just a couple stools lying around like most taco trucks. It felt more like outdoor patio seating than a normal taco stand. They could probably take more time to wipe down tables more often though. Overall would visit again if in the area, but wouldn't go out of my way for the tacos here.

We ordered just a couple tacos - one asada and one tripa, based on reading numerous recommendations that those are what to get here. $3.50 a taco which is not bad for a restaurant taco. It's a cool casual vibe here. Seating inside as well as the patio. They have tasty looking horchata and other agua frescas. Colorful walls. They bring your food out to you by calling your name. The tacos were loaded with a pretty decent amount of meat and toppings. But sadly we were far from impressed by the flavor. The asada was okay and better than the tripa, but it paled in comparison to our go-to taco trucks in the area which only costs $1. And the tripa was strange to eat in taco form. The tripa is crunchy small pieces so it just feels odd to eat in a taco. Maybe if it was just served as an appetizer to eat by itself, but even then, it kinda just feels like you're eating pellets. Don't see the hype unfortunately.
