I finally made it in to Lotteria. After months of hearing disappointing reviews and feedback about this place, I tried the shrimp burger, rice burger, and their shake fries. On the Shrimp burger, I added onions and toasted buns due to people complaining the bread was soggy. This sandwhich is only good when you eat it right away. If you do take out, it gets soggy and messy. I ate half there and took the other half home. Put it back in air fryer. Shake fries, they put the fries in a bag and you can choose the artificial of seasoning of cheese, or onion, and shake it up in the bag. They taste very artificial. Not a fan of the seasoning. The onion seasoning has a slight sweet aftertaste to it and was not good at all. Bibim rice burger was just OK. The rice could of been more crisper. It didn't hold the burger well and falls apart all over the place like a hot mess. This place has so much potential if they revamped the recipe a little bit. I'm not sure how it tastes in Korea and why is it so.popular. But for me, I rather stick with a good Ole American fast food burger joint. read more

Korean burger chain in LA. The food is decent, average fast food. Think mickeyDs if it was created in Korea. Burgers and fries with some Korean things mixed in. The service was good, fast and attentive. The location has ok parking, a fair amount of seating, and a drive thru. It was busy at first but since the hype has calmed down it's chill here. My visit I got the shrimp burger and bulgogi burger with fries. The fries are mid, crispy but a little dry. Bulgogi burger is pretty much a burger with bulgogi flavor sauce so ok. Tip: Order at the cashier instead. I ordered at the kiosk and my order wasn't in their system. People who ordered at the cashier had their order arrive faster than the kiosk. Shrimp burger: Not recommend, there was no flavor of the shrimp patty. Bulgogi burger deluxe: compared to a burger it's more on the sweeter side because of the bulgogi sauce. I honestly dislike giving reviews like this but scroll through my pictures and you'll see why it's meh. Starting out, walking in. There's a cashier where you can place your order with or two touchscreens you can use. I was there for the TXT post card promotion. And I placed my order with the cashier, paid and got my receipt. My order was called and I received my order. I realized that they didn't give me my postcards. I went back up there and the girl was like no I gave you everything. I explained that I didn't get my postcards with my meal. We found out that the cashier didn't add my postcards to the meal. The way that was handled was horrible. Fine I received my cards. I needed ketchup, which you have to ask for, rather than them offering it. While I was standing there, four people just looked at me and didn't approach the counter. I stood there for a few minutes awkwardly, and yes, the girl that I talked re:photo cards refused to even look at me. Sigh. The food. I don't understand, the bulgogi burger and that sauce? It was overly sweet. It was just not appealing. The shrimp burger was ok, but was overly sauced with their special sauce. The shake fries - I got both flavors were sweet vs savory. I heard the hype about this place and decided to come by for lunch. The kiosk made it super easy to order and see pictures of the food. The place was clean and the interior was nice. What I ordered: Bibim Rice Burger 3/5 The flavors were good but it fell apart while eating. Maybe it just needs to be put together better or seared more on the grill. It is on the pricier side of fast food. Bulgogi & Shrimp Burger 5/5 Really yummy! I liked this one a lot more and would definitely order it again. We headed to Lotteria about a month after opening. The massive lines were gone, so now is the time to start visiting them. They have fries that come in a bag and you get to choose a seasoning to shake on it. Turns out I do not like either of their seasonings. I would rather have it with ketchup only. I did not like the Bulgolgi burger. It was small and too sweet from the sauce. I did love the shrimp burger. Next time I go, I'll grab 2! Lotterria is great for what it is. Ultimately it's not fine dining. It's fast food. Like McDonalds but Korean. If you're expecting fine dining, go somewhere else. We ordered a fried shrimp burger, beef bulgolgi burger, and bulgolgi fries. Everything tasted as fast food would. But the fun of it was that there were Korean kicks to everything. I don't think I'd come back often as I'm not really into fast food. However if I wanted fast food, it's nice to have a Korean-ified option. I wish there were more Lotterrias. I returned here during the week and its gotten much better since their grand opening a few months ago. Missing were the long lines in both the dining room and drive thru. I was fortunate to find out they still had available that day there were still Bibim burgers available. I enjoyed the Bibim rice burger which has a daily offering of only 50 and is limited to one per order. I ordered the meal which included my choice of cheese fries and a fountain beverage. The bibim burger was quite unusual but I enjoyed the burger which uses a chewy rice bun, gochujang Sauce, raw onions, lettuce, beef patty, and topped with a fried egg. I found it a bit messy using my hands and suggest getting some utensils and the friendly employees at the counter. I had high expectations before coming here, as Lotteria is a classic Korean burger chain that brings back a lot of childhood memories for me. The food definitely lived up to them. When they first opened, the lines were incredibly long, but they have died down quite a bit now, making it a much easier trip. It's really nice to get an authentic taste of Korea without having to buy a plane ticket. The overall quality of the burgers is solid. I personally recommend the Shrimp Burger. The texture of the shrimp patty is great, and it's a nice alternative if you are trying to cut back on red meat. Lotteria: The US Hype Didn't Meet the Bite It's funny that I hadn't even heard of Lotteria while living in Korea, yet the hype for this new US location was absolutely crazy! Now, after trying the American version, I've heard from several people that the original Korean Lotteria is much, much better. Came here to finally try Lotteria for myself as I've heard some mixed reviews and to me, it was a little underwhelming. I got the Bulgogi Burger and it was okay. I couldn't find anything special about it. It was a burger with a sweet sauce on it. Not that I was expecting something crazy, but I was hoping it had a more of a "wow" factor. I've been told this is the Korean version of a McDonald's for fast food and they're not wrong. This place was packed on a Sunday at 10:3o am and the only location. Location: On Orangethorpe and Harbor Blvd and sharing the same lot as other stores in a large shopping center. Parking is shared so beware you might have to walk. This place opened to great fan fare about 3 months ago and it still seems popular with the asian crowd, although I've never heard of them until now. Food: I got the shrimp and bulgogi burger combo (drink and fries) and my companion had the bulgogi burger combo as well (fries and drink). The bulgogi was messy, but good and good size. The beef patty for both had an odd consistency to them. Couldn't quite figure it out. The Bulgogi and shrimp (minus onions) was pretty good and different from what is usually offered. Again, the beef patty had an odd consistency to it and while not bad, just odd. Fries were crisp and salted, so no fail there. Service was fast efficient like a fast food McDonalds. Seating was available indoor and out, but not easy to get with sooo many people around. The drive through was a problem because if you parked on the wrong side of the lot, you could get penned in by those waiting to order in the drive through line. Summary: I'll have to come back at a later date to try other things, but not right now with sooo many people wanting to eat there for food that's really more fast food than anything else. I don't see what all the hype is about as the food isn't all that great. Is it worth going out of your way for? Not really. Just wait for the hoopla to die down, then go. As for the food? Finally! The long lines and huge crowds have calmed down, so we stopped by this Korean burger spot to see what the hype was all about. As first-timers, we ordered the Bibim Rice Burger and the Shrimp Burger, along with fries (with cheese and onion powder) and sodas--and it did not disappoint. The burgers were flavorful. The Bibim Rice Burger, which uses rice for the "bun," was tasty and fun to try, though you definitely need a fork to eat it. We were in the drive through, which moved smoothly as there was a live order taker with a mobile unit. They just opened, and workers are new, so they might not have tried all the menu items. (Just a side note when asking for recommendations.) Hot tip: if dining in, avoid parking in the stalls directly along the drive through line. As we let someone reverse out of a stall, the car next to them quickly set their reverse lights on. We were able to let them exit, being the last car to join the drive through line. Otherwise, it may not have been possible for a while. And again, they are new, so they did get our order wrong. Two shrimp burgers and one bulgogi burger, instead of two bulgogi and one shrimp. But, as always, while they are both yummy, my son actually liked the accidental shrimp burger better than the bulgogi burger. (The shrimp patty is moist and flavorful, and the bulgogi is a teriyaki like flavored burger with sauce which brought back childhood HBA Fun Fair memories, per my son.) Went here on a Friday around 11:30 or so with my husband. We decided to go through the drive through. We waited about 45 minutes to get our food. Similar to in n out, they took our order and we paid and then we picked up our order. We got the bibim rice burger, the shrimp burger, and kbbq fries. Paid around $24. We live less than 10 min away and brought it back home. Everything was p soggy lol fries were soggy af. Flavor was decent tho but soggy fries are depressing. The shrimp burger was pretty good! Bibim rice burger was aight. All in all, I don't think I'd come back LOL Def give it a try, but I think this might be a one and done kinda thing for me. THANK GOODNESS I didn't wait in the 2 hour line when this place first opened! Now that the hype has died, there isn't much of a wait so the time from ordering to getting the food was very quick. Tried the shrimp burger combo. Unfortunately, it didn't quite meet my expectations. There were some shrimp bits in the burger but it wasn't very crispy and didn't feel freshly fried. The burger was also a little soggy from how much sauce there was on the patties. Eating it made me really crave the Bopomofo walnut shrimp burger since that one does it soooo much better (although not exactly fast food). I was also really interested in trying the fries with the onion powder. It was a decently sized portion. Sadly, the powder is just WAY TOO SWEET! This made it kind of hard to eat and I didn't finish. If I had to choose again, I would definitely go for the cheese powder instead. My friend got the bulgogi burger with the rice patties. It seemed like that one was slightly tastier with the meat and flavoring. Now that I've tried Lotteria once, I probably won't come back. Came in on a Tuesday REALLY early, and it already had people inside grubbing. Inside was clean and pretty well taken care of. It sort of reminds me of a Jollibee inside. Although I wish I tried the ramen burger, we had to start with the basic #1 item, the Bulgogi burger combo. Let's start with the burger. Very tasty. I'm a little sad with the construction of it, but the flavor was good. Seems excessively plain with just lettuce, it could use 1-2 more condiments to top it off. I definitely have to try their shrimp burger as well as both on the ramen bun, because the plain bun reminds me too much for Carl's Jr both in flavor and in the size of the patty being much smaller than the bun. The fries though, are pretty flawless. Crispy. Fluffy, Hot. Plus the flavor packets. I got onion this time, and it was good. IT DOES transform it into a whole different type of fry side, so if you prefer regular fries, I'd suggest leaving it off. The regular fries are already pretty amazing. Slightly disappointed in their deal with Pepsi over Coca Cola products. I'm not sure if its the same in Korea, but just not a fan of any of the Pepsi products offered here. However the Brisk Ice Tea has a good syrup ratio, compared to other places I've been. Value is just on-par with all the other fast food joints. $13 for a regular sized combo. Climb higher as you specialize. Overall I'd be back, and I'd probably make the trip from South OC... just not when its during peak times... I'm not waiting in ANY of the lines, drive-thru or not. The Original K-Burger Literally decades since I've tried Lotteria (of course had it in the motherland). Forgot how tasty these burgers are. Always went for their classic bulgogi burger (still very flavorful) but tried a few new ones. The Bibimbop burger is something new as I don't remember them having it when I was in Korea last, and OMG this was phenomenal. My new favorite burger EVER!!!!!!!! Also, of course I couldn't leave without tasting the shrimp burger. As I remembered it, the shrimp burger was fantastic. What was unique about this burger was it also had small shrimp bites that you can see and taste. Soooooo delicious. And third, we ordered the bulgogi burger (but the DELUXE). This one uses the bulgogi patty but also includes several bulgogi meats in it. You have to order the deluxe version if you're going for the bulgogi burger. Everything was so spectacular. Bulgogi Deluxe Burger: 2/5 This was not good y'all. I'm not really into bulgogi and this was the worst kind. It was dry, too sweet, and has that weird aftertaste you get from old bulgogi (I really can't explain this one). The patty was even worse, with a similar sweet marinade but was even harder, colder, and tough. A definite pass. Bibim Rice Burger: 2.5 The patty was exactly the same as the bulgogi burger so major dings there. The rice was actually very tasty. It tasted like straight gochujang in a good way. If you ever had a frozen Korean rice ball, the texture is very similar. I wish they either firmed up the rice, put it in a special sleeve, or grilled it so you could pick the burger up. Shrimp Burger: 4/5 I liked this one a lot! Many breaded shrimp products tend to be mushy but this one was firm through and through. The texture and vibes really reminded me of a McChicken. While it wasn't uber flavorful, I thought it was very tasty and well made. Fresh, crispy, and delicious! Shake It Chicken: 4.5/5 These were awesome and much more appetizing in person than the pictures. I was gonna skip because I thought they were just nuggets but they're basically karaage without the normal marinade. The batter is crisp and holds the shaking seasoning well. I made my second visit yeaterday... double shrimp burger again! The shrimp patties are thick, juicy, bouncy, and crunchy when you bite in. The lettuce is super fresh, crisp, and generously packed (which you don't always expect from fast food). It balanced the richness perfectly and made the whole burger feel fresh and refreshing. My girlfriend has been waiting for the long lines to decrease since before the opening of Lotteria to try their Korean burgers. We finally made it this morning, arriving before they opened with 6 friends for a meetup group lunch. We were first in line for the dining room, there were about 6 cars waiting for the drive thru to open as well. We were able to order whatever we wanted being first in line an my girlfriend wanted to try all of the burgers. So she ordered 2 combination meals and added a 3rd burger ala carte along with a side of chicken nuggets so that we could try everything. All of the burgers were good, my favorite was the shrimp and bulgogi burger. A little hint of spice, great flavors, and the variety of textures made it a winner imo. My girlfriend was undecided about naming a winner. Honestly I would come back for any of the burgers. Word of warning, the bimbam rice burger sells out quickly. There's a sign up that advises patrons that only 50 are available each day. So if you want to try it, be there early, by 11am they were already sold out, even with a limit of 1 per order. We left around 11:30, by that time the line was finally all inside the restaurant. Ambiance is nice, everything was clean and white. I'm a fan of this Korean fast food joint! I was finally able to make it out here and waited in a 30-minute drive-thru line around 8 pm on a Saturday (8:30 was an even shorter 10-ish min line!!). I wouldn't have liked waiting longer than that. Good thing it wasn't! Funnily enough, I've been to both Japan and Korea, but I didn't try Lotteria at all. On my latest trip to Japan, I saw Lotteria, but we had just eaten, so we skipped it! Tried the bulgogi burger and shrimp burger. Definitely a sweeter tasting beef patty, that is reminiscent of bulgogi. Wasn't really my fav (typically don't like bulgogi in general for the sweet profile). I preferred the shrimp burger for sure! The shake fries were ok, didn't like the sweet onion powder. I preferred the cheese powder on the shake popcorn chicken instead! My korean shaved ice melted though when we received it. I asked a few questions about the menu, and they happily gave me clear recommendations. Service was fast and efficient -- my food came out in about five minutes. Food Ordered: * KBBQ Fries * Shrimp Burger * Bibim Rice Burger Everything came out piping hot and full of flavor. The food was well-seasoned, and the portions were satisfying. Note: The Bibim Rice Burger can get a little messy since the rice tends to loosen up easily, but it's still worth a try! But honestly, I don't mind paying more because the menu is unique and the flavors really stand out compared to your typical cheeseburger or fish filet. Heard about this hype and came early on a Saturday morning. Got here at 9:50 am (they open at 10am) and was able to get in line for dine in. Waited 8 more minutes before being allowed to place my order in store. I have to say it was a very organized line outside. They count how many people can dine in before you can come in and place your order. Once you enter there's a small dining area where there's 2 kiosks that you can place your order. Since this place is new they only take verbal orders. My receipt said 10:08. We got our food at 10:25 and started chomping down. Apparently there's only 50 Bibim rice burger made a day so I got that as a combo with my cheesy fries (you get a packet of dried cheese powder that you sprinkle on your fries and shake it to distribute the flavor) and a shrimp burger. Total came out to be $24.53 with tax. Overall Bibim burger flavor was good. The rice patty was sloppy and juicy. The only downside was the burger patty was very dry. The shrimp burger was delicious. Tasted like the McD Japan version I recently had. The cheesy fries were OK with the powder tasted artificial. I think I'll try the onion flavor next time. Overall good experience. Would come back to get the shrimp burger again. The drive thru line was long even before this place opened at 10 am so if you are looking to try this place out you have to come early. We loved our experience at Lotteria! We ordered the shaken fries (one cheese and one onion), rice burger, shrimp burger, and bulgolgi shrimp burger. We loooooooooved the shrimp burger! It was so tasty and had yummy sauce. The rice burger was really good too! I'm gluten free, so that was a great GF option :) The bulgogi shrimp burger was good, but we definitely loved the other food more! The shaken fries were good, we liked the onion flavor! It was salty and sweet :) Overall, the service was great, we loved the food, and it wasn't a long line (in the beginning, lines were 2 hours long so we decided to come back when the crazy died down). First time here, order bulgogi burger combo, shrimp burger combo and K-bbq bowl from self serve order.. food are good, kids love it, place is comfy, we close with bingsu yummy .. only "Yak kwa" the brown round thing is hard like a rock, maybe substitute with something else, since kids may break their teeth.. will come back when we around in that area. I honestly tried not to have too high of expectations but I was pleasantly surprised! I tried their bulgogi burger and their shrimp burger. I really enjoyed both of them but the bulgogi burger is my favorite! I LOVE how crispy their fries are. And don't forget to try their onion and cheese flavor shake it fries. The food is average, although the menu is unique to other fastfood places. I tried the shrimp burger and found it to be tasty, but nothing to die for. The shrimp patty is lightly battered in panko and fried to a nice crusty crunch with a springy bite in the middle. The fries were pretty decent and on par as McD fries. However, I find the cheese flavoring is lacking in cheese flavor and a little sweet, which is characteristic of Korean fast food and snacks. It's not my cup of tea, however. I'd like my fries to be more robust with flavor and savory. The service was as quick as can be, with all the crowd trying the place out. It took about 15 min to get through the drive-thru, but ordering was fast. Once the hype dies down, will this be a repeat? Tbh I don't think LOTTERIA is worth the wait right now! I waited about 45 minutes to get in after being in line and waiting about 30 minutes after ordering food! I've had their burgers and other items overseas and their food was super succulent, crispy and juicy! I was hoping that this location would provide the same quality and flavor; yet, it was not the same! The items that I would recommend to eat are the bulgogi burger and the fries with the onion powder! The shrimp burger wasn't as crispy and juicy as I remembered overseas! Hopefully, quality can improve later on and the items are better! In addition, the way that they make food should be better with quality control! I don't think it's efficient that a lot of the food that I saw being made would just be put on the food warmer when so many customers are still waiting for their orders to be done! TIP: There are 2 gender neutral restrooms that need a code! Ask a worker for them! There is a drive thru but I recommend waiting in line instead! As of 9/2/25 : Hours stated that they open at 10am. But right when I got here at 10:10am, line was already long for drive-thru. There is currently a limit of 50 rice bibim burger per day. Combo with fries and drink is $15.77. Come early or don't try this at all. Yes very hyped. Yes, food is "okay". Not exactly like how it was in Korea. Is it better than In N out? Not for the value, but if you want a different flavor of burger, this is an option. Shrimp burger is tasty. But for the wait, I wouldn't return until line gets down to 15 min or less. This isn't fast food, this is extremely slow food. If you got a 1 hour lunch, avoid this place or you will be late returning back. Still gets three stars though because it's nothing new in an American owned hamburger market. Picture McDonald's. But it has sweet hints/meat like bulgogi. The fries taste like McDonald's fries but fresher. you get the option to sprinkle cheese or onion powder on them. @ $ 19 dollars a person. THERE I SAVED YOU A TRIP AND WAIT TIME. Lotteria for Lunch - Shrimp Burger Adventure in Fullerton I found myself in Fullerton this morning for an appointment and remembered reading that Lotteria (lotteriausa.com) had recently opened nearby. Having always wanted to try a shrimp burger, I figured today was the perfect day to check it off my foodie bucket list. Location: Southwest corner of Harbor & Orangethorpe, easy to spot with its bright, playful colors. Arriving just after noon, the drive-thru line was light -- just a few cars ahead. The patio and dining room were packed, with a short line spilling out the door. I think it's usually a good sign when people are willing to wait! I ordered the Shrimp Burger Combo, featuring a crispy shrimp patty layered with fresh lettuce, onions, a blend of tartar and thousand island sauces, all tucked inside a toasted sesame seed bun. The verdict? Delicious! The shrimp patty had a nice crunch, and I enjoyed the dual-sauce combo, kind of tangy sweet. I liked so much that I would ask for extra sauce next time. On the side: golden fries dusted with onion powder -- hot, crispy, and flavorful. And to wash it all down, a refreshing Starry (yes, they serve Pepsi products). Finally got to try this and I didn't disappoint. Expect a long long wait but I think it's worth the wait. I decided to order for Togo and I used drive thru so I didn't have to stay in line out there. It was around dinner time and there were tons of people already lined up, quiet long too. Food is good, I want to try their shrimp burger next time. Their bulgogi burger is legit, their bibim rice burger is legit but I think it's just so much rice, so I won't get that one next time . As of 9/20/25 there was little to no lines, so if you were waiting for the hype to die down, now's the time. I can see why the "hype" is over, because once you try it, you'll realize it's nothing you'll frequently want to eat or revisit anytime soon. I've only done the drive thru service, but from the outside looking in, I'll say the restaurant looks clean and cute. The food was good, as well as the service. They are quick and package orders really well. My favorite was the k-bbq fries, chicken fries, and the bulgogi deluxe burger. These items tasted really good and the ingredients were of good quality. The fries are basic but it's really the protein that makes these options good. I was absolutely not a fan of the shrimp bulgogi burger, the shrimp patty is so thick. The menu and flavors are interesting, and should work but like I said, not something you'd crave frequently. read more
