Lotus Cafe has good Vietnamese food. When I crave noodles this is where I come. Feels a little less guilty than eating Italian food which I also love. I switch between Pho, Pad Thai, and the Vermicelli. The ingredients are fresh. The staff is friendly. My only suggestion would be to get a driver for delivery and take AMEX so I can earn my points... The pad Thai dishes are really nice. Lots of yummy rice noodles and generous portions of tofu, chicken or shrimp. Definitely ask for the combination pad Thai so you get all of them. Also get the spring rolls with peanut sauce. They are big and flavorful. read more

You could literally just open the menu and point at any page and wherever your finger was pointing, that dish will be fantastic every time. The service is good, and the food is very very fresh and cooked perfectly every time. My family and I have been coming here for about 4 years, and never once had a disappointing experience. This place is close to our house and we've dined there maybe 3 times first two trips were good, good pho, decent selection and broth was little above average. However wait staff was below average. The last time we ate there the service was horrible, possibly worst I've experienced anywhere. My wife's food came out 15-20 minutes before my plate was served. One waitress wandered around the place aimlessly not even bussing tables that needed it badly as there was a wait to be seated. They'd been better suited to seems her home for the night. I'm here all the time since we all live fairly close. Usually, the service is spot on and there's never a hiccup. Lately, with extra holiday traffic, they seem to be making more mistakes than usual. I ordered pork spring rolls and they made shrimp (which I am highly allergic to). I asked for combination pho and they left out two meats. I requested pad thai and they made it so spicy that it was impossible to taste anything and when it was remade, it tasted like either the egg or sauce went bad or spoiled. I'm not sure what is going on right now but, I hope they get their amazing quality back. The rest of the family had amazing food, great quality, and ate every morsel. The food is mediocre, the service is horrible. The teenagers who work there needs to grow up and learn what professionalism means. I ordered for pick up 2 times in a week, both times ordering the same thing with exception of a side soup... both times were different prices. So I called inquiring, and the "manager" was rude, over talked me, and didn't even understand what I was calling about. Everything I attempted to say she had a rebuttle without me finishing my sentence. When I inquired about pricing... I could hear her whispering with someone next to her telling her what to say. 1) Why are your prices online different from what was charged? "Well I'll let the owner know to update" NOT something you should tell a customer... you accomadate. You apologize for the outdated menu!!! 2) Why was my credit card charged twice this time? "Ummm... you need to call your bank and get that reversed... are you sure?" WTF kind of service is that? 3) I ordered 2 orders of spring rolls and this time a cup of side soup ($1 on the menu)... why was I charged a small pho with NO meat? If I wanted to pay 6 dollars for Pho... I'd order the pho, and not just a side soup that's listed on for a dollar!! "Well, the side soup is for orders with soup, you were charged for a vegetarian pho" Me: Where does that say in the menu? If I you don't have it, don't advertise it. "Well, I didn't take your order, I just charged what was written" Me: Does the order say Vegetarian Pho? Or side soup? comes back a few minutes, and a few secs of whispers again... "It says soup, so we automatically charge it as Vegetarian..." Long story short... they are unprofessional, overcharge customers, foods just OK, and make up prices as they go along. She admitted it without admitting it. I didn't even hear the word "I apologize, or I'm sorry" in the 10 mins I was on the phone with this child. was in the area for work and found this place thanks to yelp. the restaurant is clean, modern and spacious. the menu is extensive and also includes a boba tea menu. I had the combination pho (pho dac biet). the broth was clean and flavorful. they give you a perfect amount of meat and noodles in the regular size. it was the right amount for lunch. the wait staff was on the younger side and they were very professional and attentive. would eat here again if I'm in the area. read more

Im giving the pho a three....Nothing outstanding there BUUUUTTTT the fried catfish platter was excellent! I forget the price but it was reasonable and you get two whale sized fillets of catfish with the dish. Perfectly fried, seasoned, and not greasy at all. Its great to have a Viet spot closer to home as I love pho but the catfish is the true bait and catch of this spot. read more

Very glad this place opened in SW Arlington, nice job on finish out. In the beginning the food was good, like the Warrior Sandwhich, Rice Noodle w/o broth and Spring Rolls with Boba drinks. But just like the staff, it's very inconsistent... you just never know if it's gonna be good or not. When I like to gamble, I prefer Winstar. The younger boss lady rarely smiles and doesn't look approachable to have a pleasant converstation to have small take about the menu or just while you're waiting for your food, but her mom is very nice. I'd like to see it more consistent and hope my food will be good next time, and a :) shouldn't kill nobody... read more

My family loves this place so much, we eat here at least once a week if not twice. Excellent customer service, they always take great care of us when we come in. Food is also fantastic, and boba! Can't forget your boba, our favorite is Taro, or Pina Colada. We've tried a lot of the items on the menu and have loved every one. I live in south arlington, and before finding out about this place, the only pretty good place I knew of in town that served milk tea was in central arlington at Bethany's, so finding out about this place was pretty exciting. The inside of this store is pretty hip. It is decorated with bright colors inside and clean, and the staff are mostly high-school and college kids, which gives it a young feeling. However, indeed the chefs behind the food are an old asian couple, which resolved my fears of authenticity. I ordered the milk tea with boba, which to my friend's suggestion was diluted with a little extra milk. Although I can't judge the actual milk tea because I haven't had the original, this milk tea was pretty all right. However, my only issue was that the boba was a little undercooked. The texture on the inside was just the slightest bit gritty, although not that hard to swallow. It was not that big of a deal, but I just prefer softer boba. I also ordered the N1, which is the meat platter pho. This pho came out pretty quickly and the portion was surprisingly large, although not too much. The soup was hot and had a good meaty taste to it. The meat itself was tender and easy to chew. If you want pho and don't want to drive to central arlington, this is a good place to go. I will be coming back in the future for my milk tea needs. Perhaps next time I will be able to get the original. read more

Very clean and inviting atmosphere and the staff was pleasant enough. The menu was easy to understand. The problem is that they are SSSSLLLLLLLOOOOOOWWWWWW! I had bu'n which is kust noodles for chrissakes and it took 25 minutes. Very little flavor and not as cheap as I would have liked. The staff just kept apologizing and not checking on the orders. One table had there entire order brought out one dish at a time. Management had better get a handle on this, there are way too may real good Pho/Vietnamese resturants in the area for this kind of silliness read more

This warm and friendly cafe has quite a lot to offer the casual diner, both in the way of menu items and boba/smoothies. I am not a fan of Pho, or even Asian cuisine in general, but this little place won my heart (and taste buds) quite quickly. It is quite plain on the outside, but inside the cafe is richly decorated and very clean. The boba is quite good and fresh; I ordered a strawberry boba smoothie and there were fresh chunks of strawberry blended inside. The food was quite good also, my wife and I tried the egg rolls, spring rolls, pot stickers, and a beef Vietnamese sandwich, and all the food was fresh and flavorful (and elegantly plated). The servers (almost certainly part of a family-owned business) were prompt and helpful, but didn't hover around and bother us like so many others do. Their prices are quite good for what you get.
