I did invite Noe to come back to redo it, and it still did not meet the professional standard I paid for. I would have appreciated more thorough communication from the start to make sure I was getting what I needed. To be honest, this was not the cheapest quote I got but paid more because of the great reviews. I would be happy to change my review to 5 stars if the team wants to come back for a full regrout on the floors, but I'm not planning to pay any more than I already have. This is a problem, because: 1. Each time I emailed, a different person answered. Probably 20 emails over 1 week were arranged before I could get a quote and schedule cleaning. Because emails would usually arrive late at night or around 2-4AM, I guessed the emailers were located outside of the US. 2. Phone calls are not effective. Email info could easily have been conveyed in a 5-minute phone call, but when I called, the representative didn't know anything about scheduling. 3. A third-party cleaner comes to your house. This means there isn't consistency in quality. The cleaners complained that there was too much work and that it would take a 2-person team 4 hours to do the work (clean 1.5 bathrooms, put about less than 10 dishes in the dishwasher). One worker did dishes only during this time (at $40/hr, that's about $4/dish). The other cleaned the bathrooms. And of course they finished in less than 1 hour. 4. Communication with the third-party cleaner was poor. After all the time I spent emailing about what would be included, none of the details they asked about were conveyed. This was part of the time I paid for, because 1 worker called their supervisor to try to get out of doing the work.

Absolute miracle workers! For context, I have a very maximalist, 100 year old Victorian with hundreds of books, art, delicate trinkets, plants, antiques, etc...and I've been injured with little mobility. So I had not cleaned the house for some time, and dust, cobwebs, and general disarray had accumulated. Adriana and Laura took on this challenge with grace and kindness! In just two hours, they completely transformed the space. They got into every haunted corner of my house, gently handled all my trinkets and decor, and went above and beyond to clean spots that I had never thought to clean. They got inside trash cans, every spot on the floor, behind my parrot's cage, around all my plants and books, every window and ledge, and all my surfaces (of which there are many), cleaned my kitchen appliances, and even pulled out the couches and other furniture to get underneath and the full perimeter of floor boards. I swear after they were done, the air felt different! AND, as someone who is very sensitive to chemical scents, I really appreciated that they used non scented, non toxic, bio-friendly products that didn't aggravate my allergies at all. My husband was even so impressed he suggested that we hire them a couple times a year to reset this ancient, dust magnet of a house! One Star - Disappointing and Inconsistent Cleaning! I initially hired this company for a last-minute move-out cleaning and was somewhat satisfied with their flexibility. However, my experience quickly deteriorated. While the two cleaners worked diligently, the final result was far from what I expected, especially considering the extra I paid for a more thorough cleaning. The floors, despite appearing clean initially, were visibly dirty once dry. Even more frustrating, they failed to clean behind and under the stove, claiming they don't move appliances on wheels. This is inconsistent, as they did clean behind the refrigerator (also on wheels), and their explanation of reprimanding the cleaners who did so is baffling and unprofessional. I was not informed beforehand that I needed to move all appliances and point out every speck of dirt. My previous cleaning company handled everything, cleaning as if they were moving in themselves. Unless you plan to supervise the entire cleaning process and micromanage every detail, I strongly advise against using this company. Save your money and find a service that delivers consistent, thorough cleaning without requiring you to do half the work. This experience was incredibly disappointing and not worth the cost. read more

We've now moved to a larger home (3/2) and recently used Lotus for a deep clean. Very pleased with their services - very thorough cleaning including windows, kitchen tops and bottoms, base boards, cobwebs, and so much more. What I've always loved about Lotus is the safety/green/scent-free characteristics of their cleaning supplies. We did not have to air out our home after they came to clean. What I also love are the little touches - we have a closet with a bunch of shoes that are just thrown all over - we didn't match them and got lazy about it. Lotus came through and cleaned up the floor in there AND found and matched all of our shoes and put them back in the shoe rack. I had some reservations about the efficacy of "green" cleaning, but since I really do care about limiting our exposure to chemicals and supporting green businesses, I decided to give this a try, and I was pleased with the result. I now prefer not having a smell after the cleaning crew has been here, just the sense that things are clean and orderly. We received a deep clean and I don't think our apartment has ever been so clean! Our house literally echoes now after the cleaning because they removed so much dust. It looks a lot better. We have a lot of knick knacks (Bay Area problems - there's just not storage space for everything) but they clearly moved those items to clean surfaces instead of just cleaning around. Our bathroom was SCRUBBED! And all of the mirrors, cabinets, etc. in our house were scrubbed too. We did the deep clean in advance of moving to a bi-weekly service so I'm really looking forward to continuing to have a clean house just like this! read more

I felt very hopeful about this service but am super disappointed in them. I booked nearly a month in advance, prepped the house, and cleared the day so that we could do a deep cleaning before our baby arrives. I received a call 30 minutes after the cleaners were scheduled to arrive with reschedule offers that are essentially unusable (they'd be more than a week a half from now, which doesn't work with our baby due date timeline). I can't speak to the actual cleaning, since we won't be able to do a cleaning with them, but I feel frustrated by the poor communication and unreliability. read more

I contacted several housekeeping companies when it was (finally!) time to get cleaners back into our home, and Lotus was responsive, fairly priced, and had policies that protected both customers and employees. I've had one cleaning so far and was so impressed that I signed up for recurring bi-weekly service. The house didn't smell like chemicals after they were done, and I almost cried with happiness when I realized they had vacuumed every windowsill and the blinds. If you are looking for deep cleaning, this is NOT the company for you. Very slap, dash job. I use to clean for a living when I was in college; with a crew and then on my own. They cleaned things I said to not do anything with and did not clean the areas I specifically wanted clean. They do not speak english! They were very difficult to get on the phone or through email. That should have been a red flag for me. The only good thing I can say is they were there when they said they would be. I really wanted to like them too. read more

They were polite, professional, efficient and did one of the best cleanings I've seen. We have used Lotus since our children were born over 13 years now! We were specifically looking for non-toxic cleaning services. We have used them 2x/month, to 1x/month and also more occasionally, depending on whats going on in our lives. this cleaning was the worst cleaning service I've ever had. I'm pretty sure, If I shat on the floor then my dog pissed on top of it it would still be cleaner then what they did. I'd rather pay a 85 year old women with Alzheimers to clean my house then this awful service, so she can forget what she cleaned and would clean it again. PS you guys can suck a rotten potato. I hired Lotus for a deep clean of my 2bedroom home and plan to start with monthly service. I appreciate the prompt communication from their customer service reps. The cleaners were friendly and professional and did a great job. When I called back, I was informed I needed to sign a waiver related to my sensitivities. I completed the waiver promptly, but I never received clear follow-up confirmation to finalize the booking. I followed up later that same day and again over the next two days by phone, but received no response or update. I completely understand if a company decides they can't accommodate a request, but losing communication with a potential customer after having them complete paperwork felt unprofessional. A simple "we're unable to move forward" would have been appreciated. Their pricing was also on the higher end compared to other companies I contacted. I ultimately hired another cleaner who had excellent communication, respected my fragrance sensitivities, and did impeccable work. Sharing this so others, especially people with fragrance sensitivities or accommodation needs, know that communication may be inconsistent.

From the very beginning of our interaction, Armando was professional and communicative. His hourly quote and estimate of the time it would take were spot on. He also called a couple of days before the service to follow up on my request to have very high second story outdoor window cleaning as part of it. He set an accurate expectation, which I truly appreciated! Once they were underway with the cleaning, Armando checked in now and then, asked my preferences on several mini projects within the cleaning, and delivered excellent results. I had a gnarly monstrosity of a stove top I'd breathed in scary amounts of toxic fumes trying to get clean and eventually gave up on. I'm embarrassed to post the pic but I want to just to demonstrate how great a job they did! (The black areas in the pic are where the paint was already scraped off.) I will absolutely be calling on Cleen Earth for ongoing maintenance cleaning.
