Really disappointed at my last visit to this Louis Vuitton boutique. Went here earlier this month as I was looking forward to taking my mom shopping for her birthday. Because of COVID-19, I made sure to check if there were any specifics we needed to know as I shopped at Chanel a few weeks before and understood that they were still closed/appointment only. I arrived with my mom, and 5 year old twins. We were asked to check in and stand in line. Upon finally being able to be let in the store, we were told my son couldn't come in because he had one of the masks that had an option for a filter. Excuse me, what? We've been patronizing businesses since the beginning of covid and have never had any other business deny us because of having a certain type of mask while I saw others have scarves covering their faces and being allowed to be let in. They offered a disposable adult sized mask to us but my child (like some), take some time to adjust to new things. He was used to his kid friendly masks and was obviously upset. This was apparent to the staff and customers in line with me were certainly on my side. To be this specific with a child and not allow me to go in when there were no clear rules about types of face coverings felt very discriminatory and frustrating. I asked where it said there were rules around this, and was told it was just corporate policy. What? Show me! They finally let my mother and children in after the pretense and conversation around as long as my children stay next to my side, we could go in. Again, I'm sorry but my children were behaved the whole time we were in line until they forced a different mask on my son that kind of upset him. If it had not been for wanting to get my mom something specific, I would have left. We ended up purchasing her the bag she was lusting over and the transaction and SA was pleasant. However, I will no longer shop with Louis Vuitton after this unpleasant experience. I let them know about my experience in which someone emailed me back to acknowledge discussing the situation further; I've yet to receive a call. This store is arrogance incarnate. "People will buy our expensive things regardless of how crappy we treat them...so why should we be nice?" Over the years, I've had several experiences in this store, a few decent and many others terrible. The straw that broke the camel's back was an experience my friend and I had over the holidays. My friend got her name on a waiting list for a specific purse that was out of stock. NEVER have I been in a situation where a salesperson tries repeatedly to convince someone that they did do something and finally realized they didn't and still do not apologize. And lies instead. "We didn't have your correct number." My friend: "If that's the case, how did you get a hold of me last week?" "Oh well, it was wrong on this slip but it's correct in the system." My friend: "Okay? That's not my concern." We've learned that in the future, LV bags can also be purchased at other department stores where service is WAY better and returns are for cash and not store credit. I have shopped at this store for years. Most of the time the sales people are very pleasant. Sometimes they can have an attitude, but that has been rare for me. I noticed that sometimes I am more knowledgeable than the sales people, which makes me think about who LV is hiring. For example, a gentlemen was helping me and he did not know the names of the bags. Overall, this is my go to store. I also love the Rodeo Drive location, but I have only been there once so I can't really compare. I recommend going on a weekday rather than the weekend because the store can get really packed. Also, when purchasing a bag make sure to ask them to get you a new one from the back. The customer service at this location is horrendous comparable to other stores like in Washington or Nevada.  My fiancée bought me a tie here for an anniversary gift.   A few months later she returned and bought me a wallet.  While speaking with a sale associate, my fiancée asked the associate about my tie that was showing some loose threads.  The associate advised her to try and bring the tie back next time we return to the store since the store's technicians may be able to help.   Two weeks later on July 10, 2021, we return for my fiancée to buy a new purse.  We bring the tie and ask about getting it repaired.  The sales associate helping us was nice enough but she advised that she needed to speak to the manager on duty.   The female manger, who was at the entryway of the store, comes over and looks at the tie and condescendingly ask us "what do you want us to do?"  We tried explaining to her that one of the sales associate advised us to bring the tie back for repairs but she wouldn't listen and walked away. Other locations are top notch with customer service unlike the South Coast Store.  If you can wait or go to another Louis Vuitton location, I would certainly recommend that you do so read more

This is for the LV down stairs that is suppose to consist more of their basic nonexotic items. There was no line when I came in and I was greeted at the front. My client advisor, Jessica, was able to find the wallet I was describing and let me look at it. She was so patient with me as it was my first time ever purchasing with them and I wanted to ask her about hot stamping my initials. She explained to me the ideal areas for the initials and made sure the process would be smooth. I was only going to be in town for 2 days and she made sure I was able to directly ask her if my wallet would be finished. She is such a sweet and considerate advisor, I recommend her to anyone who have questions about anything. read more

Of course during the holidays these flagship stores are just packed. We received wonderful service from Hugo and his staff in shoes, they promptly assisted us by bringing the size for various boots, and sneakers. My daughter really loved the Monogrammed Boots w custom patches, but felt the half size bigger would not work. Hugo explained how stocks or insoles would make it more comfortable, so we purchased the boots. Great investment to our collection. However, we received absolutely Horrendous service at the counter by Eliana (sp). She has no business working any retailer let alone a high end one. Her rudeness and responses were so bad that I truly wanted to say no to the$1800 boots and walk out. But as it was a gift for my daughter and those boots were special and unique I still made the purchase. I would have gone to adviser Luis in Fashion Valley but they didnt sell these specific boots. First of all...yes, my wallets are gorgeous! I purchased the Zippy Coin Purse in Damier Ebene with Rose Ballerine interior and the Sarah Wallet in Monogram with Poppy/Coquelicot Red. The online process was difficult, delayed and not informative. I had questions about the pickup process and inventory and I did not get anywhere with customer service; it's a shame since their merchandise is fabulous and high-end! And when I did speak to a few representatives, they were not knowledgeable. So, I sent 2 text messages and 2 emails and no response to my questions (I received a message saying that if I still need assistance to contact them). I eventually got a hold of a live person at the store itself. And unfortunately, the pickup process was poor. There should be a sign stating...pickup orders are on the 3rd floor after waiting in line for about 30 minutes. I recommended this store for my son to go and purchase a purse for his girlfriend. They were coming back from a trip to Temecula and he told me he was in sweats and felt he wasn't dressed enough to go in. He has long hair and wore a baseball cap too! Walked in to a "dry" greeting......but I was just there to pick up my order, and didn't need any assistance shopping, so whatever. I sat and waited for about 5-10 mins for my order to be brought out to me. Once it was brought out, I was handed a paper to sign and had to ask to see my purchase before I wanted to sign. I spent over $1000 for a purse, therefore, I would like to know that my order is correct before walking out the store. I should have been offered to see it, instead of having to ask to see it. I also had to ask about repairs for my bag if needed, but the associate offered to tell me information about the keys and padlock. I saw two LV stores are here named SC plaza. I don't know if this is the one at second floor. If it is, my review is for them. I would give 0 stars if I could. I went there last weekend, the whole experience is very annoying and unpleasant. First of all, this store totally ignore COVID restrictions. I noticed other stores like Chanel & Celine are only allowing certain amount of ppl in at the same time, while this LV let everyone in and don't even bother to care how many are inside. I did some research before went there. After I entered, a Chinese guy asked what I want. I told him and he found it and let me try. Other than that, no communications. He is using WeChat to chat with his own clients. One of the color I'm looking for he said is OOS but I called their customer service they said this store have 6. So I'm wondering if he is not willing to let me try and hold it for his own private sale? Anyway, I'm fine with another color. So I buy it. Basically, there is no service from this guy. He just let me pay and disappeared in a rush. I would not recommend this store. Their staffs are lack of training and seems don't like their jobs. No, with all modesty & humbleness aside, I'm f*cking amazing & deserved it. #realtalk and #yesihashtaggedonyelp After all the times I've spent researching and looking at designer bags I decided to go with LV, saving the Hermes for later namsayin??? Walking in I feel a little sheepish for not really being dressed my best that day as well as the fact that I didn't feel comfortable going apeshit with Pinky's money even though deep inside I was jumping for joy. I've gone to LV to purchase items before, but this was totally different as this was the first time I would be picking something for myself, so I felt extra bashful this time around. I have to say I spent about a good if not more than 30-40 minutes deciding between bags. Tammy graciously pulled all the bags that even just caught my eye in the slightest for me to look at & try on as well showing me different styles that she thought I might like after assessing the pattern/material & style I seemed to appreciate most. Honestly, not many people can deal with my indecisiveness when it comes to things like these as I can debate for days and weeks over one thing. I mean, it took me 5 years to upgrade from the LG Chocolate and replacement dino phones before I finally signed a 2 year contract with Verizon for the Iphone 5 because I just could not bear to be stuck to a phone that I would possibly have buyer's remorse over later on. So yes, I can be...on a few rare occasions, annoying. However, through all of this despite whatever Tammy might have been thinking in her head she never once made me feel like I was wasting her time or lost her cool for a split second. With her patience and assistance I was able to choose my large Tivoli purse with matching wallet that I just adore and get so many compliments on over how well the style suits me. I mean even if I had chosen a different style that I realized was not my cup of tea and could return within their 14 day policy...I'd rather leave the store from the first trip happy and satisfied. Tammy was awesomely attentive and patient, while making me feel completely at ease when initially I had walked in feeling totally out of space & self conscious. Not once did she try to upsell me from a $900 bag to $2700, but rather she allowed me to decide solely based on my tastes, nor did she give me this whole hoity toity schpeal of each purse or why LV is next to godliness or make me feel as if just looking at the bag was a nonverbal agreement to purchase like they did at the store I had just came from. This LV is by far one of my favorite locations to visit the people here are incredibly nice and accommodating. I think people have bad experiences here because this is such a popular location and at times they are incredibly busy and they just can't service everyone. I have been shopping here for years and my sales associate Tasha is absolutely amazing. She has great taste and always lets me know when something I like comes in. The managers at this location are also top notch and are very kind and professional. Came here to do some shopping and noticed this place cranks!! They have a waiting list like in restaurants to get a sales person to help you. It took about 15 minutes before we were helped and the sales girl was nice enough. Didnt make us feel like we didn't belong. The feeling of being a number though didn't sit well with me. She was gracious and treated me kindly and made the process so fun! After seeing all the bags, I told her I needed a few minutes to make a final decision and she was so patient with me and offered me champagne. I am over the tops with particularness about purses, so much so that I ended up giving away my first LV purse to one of my sisters when I received it as a birthday gift one year. A second LV purse didn't fit my style either until... I saw someone carrying one that I ABSOLUTELY LOVED at a Christmas luncheon recently!! I inquired about it and learned that it has taken her several months to get it...at Las Vegas strip!! .she explained about all of the troubles she went through to get this purse. I liked this one so much that I offered to buy her used purse at a full price. She politely declined. I paid a visit to the closest LV store (South Coast Plaza), naturally, to look for one. The sales person explained pretty much what I was expecting..."not available, not in inventory, don't know when the shipment will be arriving," no waiting list, no prepay, etc. The one I wanted was with monogram and was told this was available in Santa Monica LV store. Considered but too far for a trip to Santa Monica on a Friday afternoon... What was in the inventory was the black leather. It wasn't the one I wanted but was the identical style. Purchased the leather purse and a matching wallet... only to find myself returning in less than a week. This is when less than five star experience began. I realized I didn't have the credit card that was used to charge the purchase and MUST be present in order to return. In the meantime, I called the Santa Monica location and was told they're now in Santa Clarita...I opted for a telephone order by speaking with a someone who represented herself as the customer service. She took my information down and reassured someone would be contacting me from the Santa Clarita. I walked all day... NO ONE called me back to date. As high end as this store maybe, I was quite surprised and disappointed of the fact that LV store lacked the infrastructure of giving credit to the same credit card with simple returns, requiring the same CC...Really? I live in North OC and this trip was completely wasted. I came back the very next day to finish returning the items with the credit card that was used in the initial purchase. During this return transaction is when I learned that I can actually prepay for the one that I wanted!!! A huge fail. The salesperson made certain I understood that it might take weeks to months. "No problem," I told her. I was NOT happy about the fact that this prepay option was not given as an option on my recent visit less than a week ago, resulting in two unnecessary trips from OC to South Coast Plaza on holiday season. Actually a ZERO if I could. My husband bought me a scarf as a New Year's gift from Las Vegas Louis Vuitton, 1 day prior to this review, on 1/1/2020 and gifted it to me later that evening when he returned home to OC. As I opened up the box he mentioned he wasn't sure if I would like the color and that we could go take a look together to change it. The scarf was placed in tissue paper, so all I did was open the tissue paper to take a look at the color. The scarf was more of a casual color than I preferred, so we agreed to go to LV at South Coast the following day to exchange for another color. The scarf was NEVER taken out of the box or even unfolded. The LV box/bag was stored overnight in our bedroom in an air-filtered environment (pertinent detail for later). We went to LV at South Coast the following day, 1/2/2020, and was placed in the care of an associate. While we were picking out colors, she disappeared to the back for 5-10 minutes only to come back to tell us a couple threads were pulled and accused us of wearing it because of the defects and that it had a worn "smell." My husband didn't check for defects because he asked for a new one and the lady who sold it to him brought it out of a plastic bag and wrapped it for him immediately (why is it his job to quality check a $600 scarf anyway?!). It was strange the associate didn't mention the defects to us when she noticed it and instead disappeared on us. She accused us of the damage and "smell" which would make the scarf unable to be re-sold. Therefore she could not accept it for exchange. This was beyond offensive and ridiculous, as my husband requested a brand new scarf that was opened from packaging in front of him by the Las Vegas sales associate at the time of sale. She's lucky we didn't accuse her of damaging the scarf when she disappeared in the back! Again, the scarf was never worn or even taken out of the box! Sarah the manager was called to assist and initially refused the exchange and said that we would have to get assistance/return/exchange at the same place we bought it...back in Vegas. So... with her logic my LV bag, which was bought in Italy, would have to be taken back to Italy for any concerns? We ended up calling Las Vegas LV for assistance, where the rep AND manager there said that since we purchased at a free-standing LV store (i.e. not Saks Fifth) they did not see why there should be any problem for LV South Coast to assist with an exchange even if it was tattered! (Words from LV rep over the phone's mouth quoting the LV manager; they seemed as flabbergasted as we were). Before we received the response above over the phone from LV Las Vegas, Sarah the manager ultimately relented and agreed to assist with exchange. (Not sure what changed at this point). But not after completely upsetting my husband and myself with not only the accusations, appalling us with the offensive smell comments, and more importantly refusal to provide any type of initial true assistance particularly in a situation where other LV stores felt this should've been a non-issue. read more

I'll give two stars because my rep was decent but when I needed help with a repair the lady upstairs was HORRIBLE. She was little no help with, horrible attitude, and gave no recommendations with what I needed help with. This is a luxurious store where people spend so much of their hard earned money. I bought a bag and right after went upstairs to the repair a different bag and because of the horrible service I'm returning my new bag. I will no longer be giving money to this store. read more

I can't speak to everyone here but Lyndsey Gibeau is fantastic! I typically shop in Europe where the service is always impeccable but have been hesitant to come here because of the bad service I'd heard about. I came to repair my LV luggage and was greeted at the door within seconds, checked in and sent upstairs to the new altiere. Lyndsey let me know that the wheel replacement was under warranty and because of the parts it would have to be shipped to Paris for repair. She wanted to make sure I didn't have any travel scheduled for the next month before she sent it out (typically 6 weeks). Since then has followed up twice to let me know the status and is incredibly sweet with all my needs. I will continue to do business here and I'm so glad they are able to do minor repairs at the store! read more

TJ, the manager, provides rude and incompetent customer service. Had myself, alongside multiple other customers waiting for 20 minutes or more without even being greeted. When approached to receive service, he was argumentative and defensive. Nasty attitude that belongs no where inside of a Louis Vuitton. Walked out without the anticipated gift I was waiting to purchase. Customer service discredits the brand and takes away from the quality and allure. TJ needs to work in the fast food industry with that attitude. read more

I've purchased from this location multiple times and I must say the customer service is too notch! The first time I went in to buy an agenda for school. Even though I was buying a small item the sales girl was really patient and made me feel important. The second time I bought my mom a burberry bag which she wanted to return for a louis. While in the burberry store my zipper broke on my speedy 40. We went straight to LV where she not only found a bag she loved and got treated like a queen by the sales associate but while we shopped they fixed my bag for free. She wanted a certain bag but with the handles of another bag so they helped custom make hers. The third time I was in there for some accessories. I wasn't sure what I wanted and a gentleman walked me through scarfs, wristlets, and so on. I decided on sunglasses holder, scarf and coin pouch. They gift wrapped it real cute for me and I was on my way. Sometimes it can be tough because they get really busy but if your patient and stand in one place someone will make there way to you. I think there use to people just looking around so feel free to ask for help. I've never received an elitist feel from the service here but from the other customers who feel they come before you. That's my only complaint. But hey you can't blame the store for that. read more
