I wanted to give 0 stars but had to put a star down to submit this review. This place has the worst customer service ever. I checked into the cafe at 1022am and she told me it was going to be about 30 minutes. I received a text later that my estimated time for seating is 1122am to 1142am. I confirmed that I still wanted to be on the waitlist. At 1116am, I received a text message saying my table was ready and to return within 5 minutes. I got to the check in at 1122am exactly when she told me that she texted me over 30 minutes ago and that they held my seat for 10 minutes but took me off the waitlist. She told me that I had to sign up again at the back of the line which would be an hour and 45 minute wait. I asked to talk to the manager and she said "there is no manager available to talk to." I left in anger but went back to ask her to show me the text time stamp. She had texted me either at 1105 or 1107 but it was not 30 minutes from when she texted. If she gave up my seats at 1115 like she told me she waited, then I came just 7 minutes after. So I asked her if I can have the managers name and phone number and she said because that's personal information, she cannot give it out. I said I understood that phone numbers can be but asked her why she couldn't tell me the manager's name so that I can call and ask for them. She then told me that she can talk to the manager on my behalf when the crowd checking in dissipates. When the crowd was gone, she started cleaning the tables and setting tables while I stood there watching her. Then finally she went to talk to the manager. According to the manager, everyone gets the same amount of time to come back. If they waited for the party to show up, the waitlist would even be longer. Then I explained my situation, and I told her that the waitress told me I had to sign up at the back of the line. She told me that there are a lot of people in town and my cell phone carrier is the issue since I didn't get the text and I am the only one that had issue getting texts. I told her that if they knew that there was spotty service, they should either tell us not to go far and stay around the restaurant or tell us from the beginning that we only had 5 minutes to come back. The manager told me that when we sign up, we are told that there are 7 minutes to come back. Well that's a lie according to my text. She told me she can seat me at the next bar opening but I had no desire eating here. I thought that they were just so unreasonable. This restaurant had great reviews and I love brunch so I drove 30 minutes to town and waited an hour but I know for sure I will never wait for this restaurants again because I will never come back. read more

To is place was a charming little artsy diner. Everything was great and the service was super friendly. I ordered eggs with a side of veggies and Cajun sausage. The Cajun sausage was sooooo good. Def get that if you can handle a bit of heat. Boyfriend got the breakfast patty melt. Wow! This sandwhich is genius to me I can't believe more places don't make this. It was soooooo good. We took a slice of chocolate cream pie and huckle/mixed Berry pie home. The filling for the chocolate cream was GREAT. I just wished there was more crust. The crust to filling ratio seemed off. The food and service were wonderful, as always. While the place is quite loud due to the high ceilings, the restaurant somehow still maintains a homey feeling. The meals are hot and good-sized - we always end up taking a box home. I'm not a coffee drinker, but my dining partner is and claimed the coffee to be excellent. Loula's was ranked high on TripAdvisor, so we went for lunch one day. The wait was over an hour, so we went elsewhere. The next time we were in Whitefish, we headed directly to Loula's for breakfast. The wait was 20 minutes, but they had a small waiting area with chairs, so we could people-watch and the time passed quickly. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and we left with an excellent whole huckleberry-cherry pie for later consumption. The restaurant is downstairs - I don't know if an elevator is an option, but I didn't see one. We'll head there again for lunch or dinner when we are in the area, but will try to get on the website waitlist before going. read more

I never fail to stop at Loula's Cafe whenever I am in town. Everything I have ever eaten here has been amazing. The cafe is settled in center of downtown Whitefish. There is always a 15-20 min wait but it's definitely worth it. I always check in and stroll around town until my table is ready. The interior is always hustling and bustling. I love the homey feel it gives me. The service is always nice. As far as food goes, I always try whatever huckleberry special they have that day. I've had their huckleberry coffee cake, pancake, and pie. They are all very delicious! The huckleberry is almost like if a blueberry and a cherry had a baby. I highly recommend trying anything huckleberry when you are in Montana because it's one of their regional specialties! Loula's Cafe is a lovely place for breakfast and brunch. Wonderful place to have brunch! Shauna was our server and greeted us with a smile! She was super sweet and knowledgeable about the menu. Inside Loula's cafe is full of funky positive vibes with local artwork on the walls and lots of families eating together. Not too noisy and very relaxed. A huge butterfly was hanging in one corner and the other had a beautiful live Christmas tree. There were 4 of us and we ordered the stuffed French toast as an appetizer. We devoured it so fast (split it 4 ways) that I forgot to take a photo first. All of us loved it and it did not need syrup. The raspberry sauce was sweet and tart and the lemon cheese balanced those flavors. Devine. We ordered the following afterwards: The Big Horn- loaded with eggs, sausage bites and veggies. Healthy and hearty. The Eggs Benedict- this was the BEST! The ham was soft and shaved, piled high on two english muffins layered with over easy eggs and truffle oil Hollandaise sauce. 5 stars. Cheesy Grits- these were not thin but thick with a cheddar flavor and tasted like stone ground grits (slightly crunchy). Breakfast Enchiladas- hearty with super crispy hash browns (yum) and pinto beans (just ok) and a thick tortilla filled with sausage, scrambled eggs, veggies and cheese. According to fellow Yelpers, we had to try Loula's Cafe in Whitefish. We chose to dine here on our last day visiting Glacier National Park on the way to the airport. I am so glad I made reservations that morning. I highly recommend doing so if you are planning on visiting. We did have to wait a few minutes for a table once we checked in at the host stand. There is a diner type setting with stools and then tables scattered around the restaurant. I really struggled with ordering breakfast or lunch as we were sitting down around 11:00 am. I ended up ordering the Lemon Stuffed French Toast, and it was so tasty and decadent. Everyone really liked their entrees as well. Service was quick and efficient even though it was very busy. I will say I loved the savory items but the sweet ones (pancakes, stuffed French toast) were too overwhelming sweet for me. The pies we good!
