At first I was happy with Lisa's service. She was kind and welcoming. Her rushing and impatience around made me feel uncomfortable. Her service became very rough and she was always running late then tries to pond you off to another technician. Her service are a bit pricey for a quick hurtful service job. She constantly talks about how important that her customer are happy and come back. She's also rude to employees . She tends to degrade them on their poor slow service. NOT COOL! Save your money! Update: came back here for eyebrows waxing. Worst. Experience. Ever. I don't have a lot of eyebrow hair but it's Never stopped an experienced person from being able to shape my brows properly. The first girl royally messed up my eyebrows and then they had to call in a second person to fix it now. Now my eyebrows are uneven super thin and the skin is red raw and itchy. Came here on a whim after seeing it near my house! Loved the staff, they were so friendly and offered me water upon my arrival. I had the most expensive pedicure (forgot the name) as a treat to myself. It was very lengthy which is good as they clearly didn't rush on my toes! My 11 yr old daughter and I went to a new nail place that opened nearby as a way to bond and check out the new location. It was nice enough. My daughter loved that they offered her beverage. At the end the nail techs were asking her age since the pricing is different for 12 and under. They were shocked she was 11 and made various comments about how big she was for her age. As we walked out the door the lady says "Wow. She's so big. My daughter is the same age....but she's skinny." I was stunned. The employees just laughed. I was stunned and felt awful for how that must have made my child feel. That's my sole reason for the bad review. Obviously won't be bringing my business here again. They also have special pricing for kids under 9 - $15 for a pedicure and $10 for a manicure. It includes a free flower design along with massage and clipping. Lisa has been doing my nails, pedicures and eyebrows for a few years now and she is the best! My nails and toes always look flawless and she gives my eyebrows the perfect arch. She's also fast, she doesn't waste time and she knows her business, my nails are strong and shaped the way I like them, squared. Her new salon is awesome! It's clean and roomy, high ceilings, good ventilation (important for a nail salon, the smell doesn't hit you in the face when you walk in the door), a spacious bathroom, and last but not least, she has so many nail color options, you can be sure to find any and all colors you could possibly ever want! I recently started going to Love Nails because I was searching for a new nail tech. I've been to several nail salons around San Jose but never went back due to bad service or being disappointed with how my nails did not match how I wanted them to be. I drive past Love Nails everyday for almost a year until I decided to give it a go & booooyyyyy am I happy that I did!! Service is wonderful, they have refreshments (soda, water) all complementary, the staff is super friendly/helpful, every nail color you can possibly imagine, & a cute setup. The lady doing my pedi barley trimmed my cuticles, didn't clean under my toenails and the nail polish application was just horrible- see picture! Went to get my first mani here yesterday with my sister. Figured i would try a new place since they are so close to my home and had a decent review. Upon leaving I was happy but when I got home I noticed that I had bubble marks on my nails. Plus one of my nails the index finger has already chipped! Not even a full day! Unfortunately I am disappointed in my nails. I will be going to another place for mani for now on. Even if they are a little more expensive. Came in for a full set and decided to do pink and white. The lady that was doing my nails put on the fake tips, made 2 cuts on both sides of the tips then twisted it off and PULLED. I DID NOT enjoy this one bit because she was pulling on my real nails....was not a pleasant feeling at all! Then she talked me into dip powder, which I've never done it before and had no idea what it looks like. I asked if it's going to look the same as the traditional way and she said yes, so I thought to myself "if that's the case then why not. Let's try new things" and apparently I did not know what I was signing myself up. It turned out to be so ugly. The whites were crooked, the pink was too light and see through. Because the powder was see through, there was a yellow gap between the white and the pink....Come on, who wants to see the gap between the white and pink?? It's called pink and white! It doesn't call pink yellow and white!!! It was so horrible I forgot to take some pictures as proof but, honestly, I don't ever want to see that again. I wasn't going to pay $55 for these ugly nails so, unfortunately, they had to take it off. If they were being transparent with me from the beginning then they wouldn't have had to take it off like this, because I wouldn't have chose the dip powder for pink n white in the first place. Anyway, long story short, Lisa redid my nails but I was stuck there for 1 HOUR AND 20 MIN. Who does only hands for almost 1.5 hours???? I was super late to my dinner date and wasn't happy at all.....It's such a shame that I used to really like this place because it's 5 min away from my house.... read more
