Visited the Love Shack while at DFW today. The place was full which is always a good sign and thankfully there wasn't a line to order. I got my food within 15 minutes of ordering. I ordered the Cheatin' Love which is a turkey burger with a side of fries that wasn't included with the burger. The burger itself was underwhelming with a strange aftertaste and the fries weren't fresh or salty. Overall I had high expectations that left me disappointed. read more

This spot is in the airport so I wasn't expecting a 5 star experience but I at least thought the food quality would be somewhat fresh but to my disappointment the bread for the burger buns were stale and thrown onto the burger with no care, the bacon tasted as if it was sitting out a while and so did the meat, and the veggies were wilted. The fries were not bad. I wouldn't stop here if I see this chain in another airport again. I was on a work trip and hadn't eaten all day so I just ate enough to fuel a bit to keep going with my day. As others have mentioned, the ordering process is confusing with both counter and waitstaff. Even at the table, there is an option to scan a QR code and place an online order or order with a server. We ended up ordering with the server and she was pleasant enough. The food itself was underwhelming. Really no difference between this place and a typical fast food burger. The bun was not toasted, the patty was just kind of limp, very small and didn't have a lot of flavor, the bacon was skimpy as was the egg on top. Fries were just OK too. The Love Shack is a little old place where....we can get hamburgers!! Every time I see this sign, I get the B-52's song stuck in my head. So now, it's your turn. You're welcome. Aside from the ear worm, this is a terrific restaurant tucked back in the E gates at the DFW airport. We were at the ECTC electronics show, went straight to Dallas Airport, thought we catch a glass of wine and a bite to eat. My coworker complimented the girl who bartended on her hard work and excused himself to the bathroom. The bartender who wore tight jeans and heavy makeup then slammed the bill at me and 86th us saying we are drunk and we're out all night. Then she got a bouncer from the kitchen and he enforced to have us removed. I was in shock. We came straight from the show, had a few sips of wine and then we were treated like criminals. People who spoke English as a 2nd language but the bartender speaks only in gibberish and didn't even try to speak clearly for the customers. Tim Love should be dragged into Sundance Square and put into a dunk tank, then everyone who eats here can throw balls and try to dunk him for a chance to retaliate because this place STINKS! I know we're at an airport, but there is zero effort in the food quality or ingredients. Have some pride Tim. On the positive side, the staff was nice. But avoid the Ranch. I think it's 99% mayo. Had a short layover in Dallas and popped into the Love shack... You scan a QR code off the table to start your transactions. Your food comes out very promptly unless you need something different then what is specified on the menu. We ate a cheese burger, chicken fingers and the chicken sandwich. The food was definitely acceptable it was just there needs to be better customer service. The ordering process leads to errors that the staff has to try and fix. A basic burger, fries and a soda will set you back $20+. The service was also dysfunctional. There's a counter you can order from, but the staff was insisting that everyone who was dining in sit down at a table and place their order from there, I'm assuming so they could get tips. Then the waitress disappeared before she took my order, and I had to go back up to the counter to get someone's attention. At the end of the meal, I had to stand at the bar for 5-10 minutes to get my check. If you're craving a burger in Terminal E, stick with Whataburger. read more

He even noticed my NY hat and asked where I was traveling from and welcomed me to the Midwest. Coming from NY, this was a definite nice introduction to Midwest friendliness I have heard about. The food was great. I got the Dirty LOVE BURGER. It was just like the pic. A fried quail egg on a burger infused it with a definite awesome and refined flavor. Every bite I was more and more satisfied, and finding myself IN LOVE! The fries are fresh cut and tasty as well. I was the only one when I began my meal but while eating a few others had taken notice that they were open and serving and so they had decided to venture in as well. Good choice! It's always fun searching for food before a flight. Unfortunately for me, was flying out of the food desert part of DFW (United in Terminal E close to Gate 11) and wanted to find a spot where I could sit and eat socially distanced (so that ruled out the Chick-Fil-A and Auntie Anne's). Sat down and it took a while for the server to come by. When she did, I ordered the Fried Chicken Sandwich. Originally wanted a salad but their only option had blue cheese and I was the told the salads all come pre-made so you can't make any modifications. No worries, something fried and unhealthy it is! The sandwich came out quickly and was tasty, but had to ask my server for water and was brought a tiny plastic cup with water. Saw other people with glass cups, but maybe that's reserved for non-water beverages. Was a little weird. Was also a bit tough trying to get the check and pay. I think the problem is that they should just make the whole restaurant an order at the cashier and then sit model instead of a weird hybrid where the restaurant portion isn't adequately staffed.
