We chose this place to eat because of the name "Tim Love, Love Shack" and we been to Tim Love's famous restaurant in the Fort Worth Stockyards. I had the Love Burger and Fries and she had the Caesar Salad. Service is fast and friendly, but the Burger had no love in it, meat unseasoned, and it tasted like and school cafeteria burger, and the cheese was cold and unmelted, and the fries (sadly) were shoestring fries straight from the freezer. Love shack ... is a little old place where we can get together. Just pick a different love shack. A fan of Restaurant Startup, I was looking forward to my first experience at a Tim Love joint. Sadly, I left somewhat disappointed. The best part of the meal was the chocolate shake. The fries were a notch better than McDonald's, but very reminiscent in terms of shape and color. The BBQ burger was okay, but a sad little 1/4 lb patty wasn't worth the almost $14 total cost of the meal. Also, why are the onion rings $6.09 when the cheapest burger is under $5? Heading out tonight for an anniversary trip, and thought it would be fun to kickoff our trip with a quick bite at the Love Shack. We showed up at 5:22. Instead of being welcomed, we were told they were closing in 8 minutes. The second person to "greet" us told us they were closing in 7 minutes and only offering to-go orders. I was in DFW waiting for my AlaskaAir Seattle flight and right there by the gate was the Love Shack. It has some nice seating with AC plugs so you can settle in here and charge your iPhone and eat a pretty decent cheese burger. I was really impressed with the quality of this burger as being way better than I ever expected. Was waiting in line trying to decide what to order. Peeking into the grill area, the burger patties getting cooked looked...average. The cashier recommended the Crispy Chicken Sandwich ("is it big?" "Oh yeah"). I was curious about the level of crispiness and am happy to report that it passes the size and crispy test. Pretty tasty. Note: If you order the chicken sandwich it takes ~10 minutes to cook if you are in a hurry. Ordered the butter chicken salad, only healthy-ish thing on the menu which is focused on burgers and chicken sandwiches. Diced chicken, red onion, diced tomato, blue cheese and a sweet lemon vinaigrette. The chicken had great flavor and the salad was solid, dressing good although the sweetness was a little much. I read reviews of a different dressing but guess that is no longer offered. The star was the service. Two people covering front of house and it was packed for 2 hours. One did bar / waiting and the other food expo and counter service. They handled it beautifully! Everyone seemed happy with the food and the service. read more

I am a big fan of Tim Love and his restaurants in Fort Worth so when I saw that he opened up a Love Shack in the terminal I was pretty excited to try it. Love Shack is a fast casual restaurant that offers beer and wine and specialty burgers and more. Great for people on the go but want good food fast. Well, instead of good food fast it was more like mediocre food. The Good I love the variety on the menu and local beer and the whimsical approach to food that Tim Love is known for. It's a very Texas centric restaurant and I love that. The Bad I ordered the Love Burger. The patty is a mix of brisket, chuck and sirloin, american cheese, special sauce, LTP (lettuce, tomato, pickles). I added jalapenos because I love the spice. I love the flavor of the meat and the sauce. My issue was not with the taste but with the temperature. My bun was cold and so was the patty. It tasted like they left it sitting there for a good 15 minutes before they buzzed me. The beer that I ordered was room temperature and not cold. Had I not been in a rush to catch my flight I would have sent it back. While I love the flavors and atmosphere I cannot forgive the food temperature. I hope the restaurant improves their expediting process so we don't get cold food and drinks. read more

The time it takes is ridiculous- time usually means it's fresh as it's prepared after the order. But we're at an airport, so this only works if the food is good. 2. Cleanliness- not awful, but definitely could have used some attention. 3. Quality of food - i ordered chilaquiles for breakfast. The boxes food came with splattered sides. Looked like they dropped it in the box from 3-4 feet above. It looked disgusting....and it was. I know it's cheap, but if you have it on your menu at list try. In airports, you're still pretty limited on options. I had an almost four-hour layover so I knew I had time to have a sit-down meal. Since it was National Cheeseburger Day, I gave myself permission to have my third burger in as many days. The first two being In-N-Out and Shake Shack. So, I had expectations along those lines. Unfortunately, Love Shack doesn't come close. The burger's special Love Sauce was... unique. It tasted like it had cumin which is a flavor I don't like with burgers. I don't know if they would do this, but I would ask for a taste of the Love Sauce so you can see if you like it before you drop $$ on it. I'm familiar with Tim Love and his reputation. I love Tim Love and have been to most his restaurants outside the airport. This by far was the worst experience I ever had at an eating establishment. Overcooked patty, stale bun and cold. Place was too busy to ask for replacement. It was just horrible. Did anyone care to mention the wine is $15 a glass.. Come on I don't waste calories on day old McDonald's or that processed meat for that much, but this would have been a better option with better customer service. It's unfortunate because if this is folks exposure to the brand I assume they would never return. Definitely makes me think twice about my patronship at his other restaurants in the future. Located at terminal E11, this is of the better fast casual places to eat in the DFW airport. Named after the the Fort Worth Outpost, I was attracted to this spot only because Tim Love, the accomplished DFW tv chef/restauranteer, name is on it. Anyway, I got ordered grilled chicken salad. The chicken isn't grilled. It looks like it was fried. Otherwise, tasty with the crunchy fresh butter lettuce, tomatoes, red onions and the blue cheese provide a nice potpourri of freshness. You may want them to put the dressing on the side. After eating, I had enough to wash a load of laundry with it (hyperbolizing). They have a bar here too if you require drinks before takeoff.
