It's sad for people who need Kosher food because they have so few good restaurants to choose from-- but for everyone else definitely would avoid this one. You can't really get perfect bagels in Florida because of the water, so I didn't order. . . anyway, I came for breakfast with friends who live close by. So here they have limited egg choices and cannot make decent scrambled eggs - I sent back the first order and the second was barely better. They have a specialty sandwich with carmelized onions and bagel shells, and that is unique and decent -- but anything with carmelized onions is probably good. The challah bread was good, but I wanted healthy breakfast and, sadly, really disliked my main course food. The prices are high because (as others have said in reviews) when it's Kosher they always charge more (not sure why except to rip off the Kosher people). Kosher dairy is no more expensive wholesale because - duh - it's dairy. Anyway, aside from the high price which is common in a lot of breakfast places in Florida, the food is mediocre except for a few items. The service was good and the coffee refills were free (not always the case in Florida). Unless you need Kosher, definitely avoid this place. And maybe, if you need Kosher, find somewhere else. read more

After reading numerous reviews, I decided to give this place a try. Unfortunately, I didn't find The bagels very good. They are better than most bagels in the area, but other bagels are far superior. The bagel had a very slight crunchy outside and a very dense inside. I also ordered a challah which I found very, very dense and very heavy. The taste was a little on the stale side, but I'll take responsibility for that one because it was most likely made on Friday, and today is Sunday. I plan on making French toast using the bread sometime this week, and I'll update the review based on the quality of the breakfast. Do you ever go to a restaurant/take out and love the food - so much so that you tell your friends and look forward to going back? Well that's me with Lox N Bagel because the first time going I loved the bagels, but...... this time my bagels were different. It's like someone replaced my good NYC like bagels and put inferior factory bagels in its place. I had family over (from NY) and I took the drive out west and when I tried a bagel it seemed different and it even looked different. These bagels had a more role like consistency and while there was some trademark bagel chewiness the inside looked very much like common bread but thankfully was just slightly firmer. Despite my disappointment the bagels were still better than most South Florida bagels but while I had thought I found the bagel of my Florida dreams now I'm not too sure. read more

Very cute atmosphere restaurant super chill and family oriented. The owner really cares of the performance and is there to make sure everyone is taken care of. The only thing I could recommend to improve is to better track when people sit down to serve them a bit faster, the waiters seem to be unaware of who just sat down and can take time to notice them. Horrible experience and poor quality food . Worse is the owners attitude , demeanor and response. Owner is completely classless . He deserves zero business from this community . I asked for owner as lox looked like the picture below . It was cut extremely thick and brown as you can see . I very kindly told owner that it was cut thick and I do t care for the brown running through all the pieces . His response " oh well , it's the end and they grabbed skin ." He walked away and shrugged his shoulders . I did not eat . i paid the check left a 20 percent tip And on my way out I said to the owner ," you are the owner and that's how you handled me ."He responded rudely , "oh well there's nothing gto do when you tell me my foods no good . " I said " , I cannot believe that is how you handled this , I have no choice but to leave a review on yelp . " he replied so rudely " good I'll leave you a bad review." Great breakfast with good service. Service was a little slow but it was busy so it's expected.

Ordered food for a bris. First of all, the food was absolutely delicious. Probably best bagels in Boca. Portion sizes were generous as well. The cream cheese and salad platters, the "cookie" platter (which was really assorted pastries), fruits etc were all very beautifully presented and delicious. Coffee was yummy, came with milk and sugars and stirrers and cups. Was easy to order over the phone, pay, and get an emailed detailed invoice/receipt. My ONLY complaint is that the food was supposed to be ready by 8am, and it wasn't until close to 8:30. So, word to the wise: give them a grace period. Lox n bagel is extremely packed. They have everything crammed together. We've waited for over an hour for the food. The workers are nice but they just don't prioritize most customers. They need to prioritize the people who have waited there longer. Their problem is that they realize they're packed with customers but still continue to seat them and make them wait a whole hour for their food. The coffee was disgusting and I'm pretty sure they rushed everything. We payed over $50 then decided to leave and they never even offer us a well deserved refund. The food got my sister sick and made her puke. I honestly don't think the hour wait was worth it. I don't think I'll be coming back. read more

I never asked for food to go when I asked the waitress to unpack it, and serve it to me on a plate she brought me the plate of food and slammed it on my table. The food is usually great here, but the customer service is so poor nowadays it honestly makes you not want to give this place any money. At the risk of sounding like a "Karen", all (literally all) of the workers behind the counter on Sunday were inept and rude, dismissing one in-person customer after another in line (not just me). I felt like I was waiting on a line of idiots waiting to be roasted by the local "comedian" before being told that my bagel that I want sitting right there in front of me in a basket is actually going to someone else who just ordered it online. I get that this is a tough job working with grumpy people in the morning but that's part of the job...this place prioritizes phone orders over in-person customers and this was actually confirmed vocally by several of the staff with more than one customer waiting on line. By the time we got to the cash register, several customers had left angrily. This already happened on a few occasions and I've sort of given up hope on this place.
