This place is so cool!! Very retro diner style, but with a small store inside that includes wine, shopping bags, soaps, chopsticks, very gift store like but with a boutique essence. They have a display glass with bakery items to really tie the vibe together, and the coffee was so well roasted, the flavor of the actual espresso was amazing. No flavors or sugar needed. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, but substituted all sauces and dressings for the fig jam and it was the best possible decision I could've made for myself. I tried this place out for brunch with my sister who had done a carry-out order before. I ordered the flapjacks with side bacon and she had the burrito bomb. The food was tastey. I had to ask that my bacon be cooked soft rather than regular. I liked the atmosphere with the general store feel. The food was tasty and fresh, it also came out very quickly. We also ordered lattes, we were in and out of there in 30ish minutes. Great local spot, loved to stop by after a Piestewa hike! When the weather is nice, (Phoenix--duh) they will open the garage door style windows and you can enjoy the sunshine while having breakfast or lunch. Their menu is quite enlightening and includes breakfast favorites as well as dishes you think you really must try. For a variation, you can order the same food from the Other Bar, which is connected. The food is served quickly and is really full of flavor. The first thing you must do is check out the menu and order at the counter. They will bring you your food but listen for your name as they call out your drink. Parking is okay but you may have to park around back and walk a few extra feet. I wasn't exactly sure if we were in "The Other Bar" or in Luci's Marketplace until the waitress explained how the menu worked and when the area that we were seated in became "The Other Bar." So, we were definitely eating in The Other Bar, but using Luci's Marketplace menu. Win-Win!! There were several really good choices on the menu, which only means that I'm coming back some time soon! But for this first trip, I ordered the avocado toast (put please scramble the egg and put it on the side)... SO YUMMY! Plus, an added benefit of a fruit bowl that was really good. AND, their coffee? Normally I like to leave a review with a few photos. Unfortunately, that can't be the case today...because I happily inhaled everything before a picture was considered. Lucie's Marketplace is such a cute place. It has a cute little shop with local products, yummy food and great coffee. A couple of friends and I met there for coffee. We ended grunt breakfast after seeing a couple of pages going out to other tables. The food tasted as good as it looked. We got an omelet, waffles, potatoes and French toast. We enjoyed our meals so much we all cleaned our plates. The bonus is the little shop. I even picked up a few Christmas gifts. read more

If you're looking for a place to catch up with friends or just relax, Luci's Marketplace is great. I've been coming here for years (back when their drinks were legendary). Yes, in this day where there is a coffee/tea shop on every corner, their drink menu won't wow you. What will make you come here is if you want more than 'just a drink'. If you want good food (their menu is extensive for a coffee/tea shop), cute gifts, AND amazing service then this is your place. Parking is limited in the front so I go to the back. Last, I can't stress how amazing everyone is who works here. Will you get amazing service all the time, probably not. Heck, I'm never nice ALL the time. What you will get is consistency and employees that attempt to go above and beyond. It can be rare to find a gem like this! Example: today my teens sat, ate and just chilled for about 2 hours. After my teens got home, my son stated he thought he lost his retainer while sitting in the booth. We drove like a bullet back to Luci's, showered the booth and found NOTHING. We then asked the two managers (I'm so sorry I forgot your names - Ashley???) if they saw it. They had AND they kept it, safely in a plastic cup. Thank you! You saved this momma $250 and reminded me that going just a little extra can put enormous joy in someone's day. read more

I had to come back and try something else so today I tried their new chipotle, bacon and tomato cheese sandwich. It was all right I did not taste any chipotle and bacon could use a little more flavor, so with that being said,turkey Lurkey was much better. FYI I got a lot more potato salad so if you order to go, you'll get a little tiny thing like he would put a ranch dressing in a potato salad. Their orchard location was already closed so stopped here to get my kiddo a cinnamon roll and a coffee for our trip back home to Tucson. It was close to closing time- about 430 and while the cashier was nice: The manager doing closing responsibilities didn't acknowledge my existence when I was looking for a fork. Excellent little cafe with wide open windows and easy seating. My friend took me here to enjoy some breakfast, first thing I notice is their nice shopping section full of little cute arizona themed items. They also have a bunch of socks and kitchen gift items, if you're looking for unique gifts this is a great place to shop and eat while you're at it. I got the Big Boy Breakfast, except I substituted my potatoes with a side of salad. The manager was cool with it but I thought if only he smiled while saying so I wouldn't feel too bad about it, I'm just trying to be healthier! Got the citrus vinegarette dressing, whIch is actually sweet with a bit of tart, really went well with my salad, they even have artichoke and goat cheese! They also took away the toast when I asked for the substitute I wonder why, but either way, I added it back and it was only $13 total for the swapped menu, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal and have leftovers to bring home. The customer service was great and did I mention the food is great; fresh and seasoned to perfection! I love the huge array of healthy options for food and snacks. They are vegan and vegetarian friendly...They even have vegan jerky .. I love the gag gift and gift section...the music selection also offers a great ambieance...it is a super inviting... Vinc rang me out with a smile and was helpful with showing me where the menu was located....Coolest part of the restaurant is the open environment atmosphere.... The chilaquiles are just dry tortilla chips with "pull pork" and a cold egg. I asked for a refund because it was somehow dry but watery at the bottom and the customer service was really good. She was friendly so that's a positive. The vibe in there is like a cracker barrel. read more
