This is the second time i'm here with my husband and the second time they did not disappoint!!! I loved all the food, probably one of my favorite katsu curry that i've tried! The mentaiko pasta was also really good, generally good portions. The dessert was super delicious and i love how it's not overly sweet. Will definitely come back again :)) P.S. I definitely recommend sitting at the bar and trying out their signature drinks! We didn't order any alc this time but the last time we came, we ordered a lot of it and just had an amazing experience. We were looking for an izakaya that was open before 5 and had a good menu and ended up here. The ambience is nice, lots of cute stuff and I liked the lighting and music. Not too loud either, you could definitely have a conversation here. We were seated quickly and didn't have to wait too long to order. Once we did order, the food came out very fast and was extremely good. They have happy hour everyday and have anime themed cocktails. The Sailor moon ended up being my cup of tea, and I had 2. It's sweet, but not syrup sweet and was great for cutting through the rich foods we ordered. Definitely would come again. read more

Also draft beers for $3. I had the tonkotsu ramen ($19, similar to other ramen places in the city). The broth was silky and extremely flavorful without being overly greasy. Multiple layers and types of garlic flavor. Toppings with top notch and the chasu was some of the most tender I've had. They took the time to sear the toppings (like bamboo!), which gave extra smoky yummy flavor. Thin, toothy noodles. YUM! The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that the ramen I wanted wasn't on the lunch special menu. Will definitely be going back! read more

Came by with a few friends for some beer and ramen. I tried the classic lucky cat ramen. The bowl seemed a little underfilled with broth, but the broth itself was flavorful. Toppings included were pretty standard compared to other ramen places. A lot of people were ordering the volcanic hot pot. It looked really good- will have to come back and try it. I stumbled here one night by chance when craving Japanese food and I have brought friends back every time since. This particular visit was on a Saturday afternoon, not busy at all. I ordered the robata/izakaya for the first time and my friend got the Tonaktsu Shoyu ramen. The aroma from the broth was amazing across the table, and the meat skewers recommended by our server, Dreamie, were good choices. Not everyone knows about or recognizes the Lucky Cat as a hidden gem but I sure do! The food we requested got me really impressed and I did not expect it at all. It was the same with ramen but the stimuli of my bowl were exceptional. The freshness of the noodles, richness of the broth, and mouth-wateriness of the meats and eggs altogether made it the best experience I ever had. Besides that, the atmosphere pretty much played its part in making the meal enjoyable, and the employees spread out a very friendly and cozy vibes. We came here after the most recent Japan society exhibit of Kyohei Inukai. This spot has been on my list for a while after I saw a TikTok that they played anime on their TVs. When we got there they were actually playing Case Closed. The place was pretty busy on a Friday night but even without a reservation 4 of us were seated immediately. We really enjoyed the izakaya vibe and a lot of the decor reminded me of one of my favorites, Kenka. We ended up sharing okonomiyaki and it was good starter. I decided on the Lucky Cat ramen expecting it to be spicier but was hoping for it to be a lot spicier. The spicy miso ramen looked more up my alley and it's something I would definitely like to try next time. A solid bowl of ramen nonetheless. They had quite the menu but did notice there weren't a lot of vegetarian friendly items. There could a be possibility of exchanging items out. Obviously also loved that the check came in manga. A wonderful Ramen establishment in the city with tasty food, nice decor, and efficient service. We recently visited on a Monday evening for dinner and it was crowded. I didn't expect that on a Monday, but then again its the city. For appetizers, we ordered the Edamame and Shrimp Shumai. Both were fantastic. I want to give a shout out to the Shamai though. It was a very unique and fabulous crafting of the Shumai; definitely among the best I've ever had. For our entrees, we went with some Ramen (Chicken Ramen and Tonkotsu Shoyu). The Chicken Ramen was very flavorful and the chicken meatballs were cooked to perfection. I'm not a huge Ramen fan, but this was awesome. For the city, post-covid, the prices were very reasonable too. If we find ourselves in that area again for a Ramen fix, I wouldn't hesitate. read more

TLDR: great relaxed place for Japanese food and drinks. I've been here a few times for late night eats and drinks and I haven't been disappointed. I love this place for how casual it is - so many upscale Japanese places but not too many for affordable prices and for a laid back scene. I've had the truffle ramen, the char siu don, the spicy tuna rice bowl and the kimchi pork. Everything I've had is pretty good. Love this place for catch up with friends or hangout after work! I love izakaya! The menu had everything you could possibly want to order from Asian cuisine and hit the spot on a hungry Friday night. My table ordered beef tongue, skewers, Hot pot A, crispy salmon sushi, a seafood pancake, and pork katsu. The standouts were the hot pot (it said for 2 people but it's huge and especially with side dishes, you can split among 4) and the seafood pancake (it was so soft and flavorful). I had a great time! The good: The Okonomiyaki was fantastic and the star of the night. The bad: I went out on a limb and got a milk based pork broth for my ramen (negasaki champion). I am glad I tried it, but I didn't enjoy the broth - not my cup or tea. My friend ordered a poke bowl which took forever to come and was not very tasty.
