Stopped in yesterday before they were officially open and was able to talk our way in for a free meal - so you can't beat that! We liked it so much, we decided to come back today for their grand opening and try different dishes! First impression - everything is super fresh and emphasis on flavor! That's true with all mediterranean food, but I was very impressed with what we tried. Yesterday we shared the spicy feta appetizer spread - which was amazing! Today we opted for the spicy yogurt dip, which was also good - but couldn't top the feta! I'll be interested to try their hummus as well. As for entree's I had the Beyond Burger, which I had heard so much about (it's a new kind of veggie burger), and I liked it a lot. They have regular burgers too, BTW. They top the burger with some of that fabulous spicy feta which really added great flavor, and it was very moist which veggie burgers sometimes are lacking. Today we tried two different salads - the Mediterranean with chicken which I liked - my husband not as much. It's a mixture of couscous with the regular salad items and the dressing has a hint of mint in it. Very refreshing. The other salad was the Apple Walnut - delicious! The combination of apple, cranberries, walnuts and blue cheese is always a killer, and the pomegranate vinaigrette is a nice complement. Finally, have to give a special thumbs up for the Mango lemonade. I usually just drink water, but this is really tasty! Food is good but I miss the old garlic sauce. They added feta cheese to it which drastically changed the taste and not for the better. The flat cut chicken is always really good though. My biggest complaint is this place gets slammed with office orders and to-go orders. I recently went there and was going to eat there at the restaurant (which was basically empty) but was told before I ordered that it would take 25 minutes for my food (normally it takes about 5 minutes for food). That is pretty unacceptable for a fast casual restaurant like this. They need to maybe prioritize customers eating in their establishment vs the big to-go orders they get. read more

This was our first visit but not out last! The food was fantastic! The chicken kabob was well seasoned and juicy. The gyro meat was great. My favorite by far was the koobideh kabob! I have visited twice in the past two weeks with my teenager. We stopped in to get a dip trio to share on our first visit and we got a lunatic sampler to share on our second visit (and one to go since my husband also wanted some but couldn't join us). We both enjoyed the dip trio. We liked the lunatic sampler, but both agreed we would stick with the dip trio in the future with a side of falafel. The patio area was shaded and comfortable even though the heat index was more than 100 degrees both visits. The staff was very friendly and efficient both visits as well. Tried this place for the first time yesterday around dinner time and was really impressed. Got a beef kabob plate with hummus and rice, everything was delicious. The interior of the place was super clean and the young staff were very friendly (which seems rare these days!) They also had a lot of drink options; the mango lime tea was great. I have been to Luna several times and it is consistently good. And during this pandemic, nothing has changed as far as quality. Ordering on their app was very easy, food brought to my car with no contact, and quality was excellent. Exceptionally friendly staff. Food still piping hot when I got home. After tonight's experience I would suggest not ordering from this place. For $12 you will get barely two small bites of chicken. When speaking with the manager Alejandro about paying $40 for meals that will barely feed 1 person he said he had no clue about the situation and offered no solution. He told me he doesn't know who would have cooked or packed the meals to go so he can't tell me why they have barely any chicken. We recently moved here from DC metro area where there are lots of great restaurants. After seeing glowing reviews of Luna Grill we ordered delivery. Portions were good except the miniature baklava. I'm used to getting pastry three times this size and half the price! Chicken was nicely grilled and tasty but it was cold! Might be fault of slow delivery - took over an hour to get here. Siri says 15mins drive. Rice and salad were good. Prices were a little high aside from the baklava, as mentioned extremely high. Overall I give it three stars. Some of the high ratings need to get out more, IMHO. read more

Horrible service, food, the attitude of employees was the worst. Food was mediocre at best. The restaurant was empty yet it took 20 minutes to get my order which they didn't get right. When I let them know the order was wrong, they acted like it was a huge inconvenience. I ordered falafel and they gave me chicken not sure what's so difficult about redoing that order. I tipped them well, having worked in the restaurant industry in the past, and I was amazed at their attitudes. Being a new restaurant in the area, I would think that they would be more invested in making it a nice experience for new customers. Came today for the grand opening so they may still be working out a few of the restaurant opening jitters, but it's been a great experience so far. I ordered the stuffed grape leaves and the ground sirloin kabob. The stuffed grape leaves weren't quite what I was expecting (I guess I should have asked for a description), but they were enjoyable and fresh. The ground sirloin kabob (at least in my case) tastes like a run of the mill hamburger presented in a more aesthetically pleasing form so that was a little disappointing. However, the included pita bread was a pleasant surprise, being nice, fluffy and buttery [?] (Whatever fat is used to make pita bread). The grilled carrots (you can opt for tomatoes) were also a pleasant surprise. The presentation of the dish is amusing because of the copious amounts of rice, but altogether it was quite balanced. The location is quite nice and pleasant. The interior is bright and cheery, which is quite welcoming. The staff are also quite friendly, which is always a plus. My order placed on Ubereats today and I never had such an issue happen before with this restaurant. I placed my order at 5:52pm on UberEats showed 6:15pm pick time. Actually UbetEats showed ready for pickup at 6:12pm so, walked in waited for while for someone to ask what was my order so, it was already 6:15pm. They had 2 people getting food ready but, one person at restaurant comes over asking what was my order and immediately she said I need to wait 15 mins more. Then, another fat lady came over explaining kinda rude literally blaming Ubereats for showing the order ready when the restaurant did not have it for me and she mistakenly thought I was Uber delivery guy then, I clarified that I was customer and she stopped her complaining about Ubereats and was not even apologetic about the whole issue of being late with order. It was just 1 order which they needed 40 mins to get it be ready. It's absolute shame on restaurant for having such irresponsible employees taking customers for a roller-coaster ride when its their mistake with lack of proper communication and respect for regular customers. Luna Grill is one of the newer spots over on Walnut Hill near Texas Health Presbyterian. It's fast-casual with a fun menu. I was a little put off by the cashier answering the phone and taking an order when I was standing right there waiting to order. Ummmm, what? But okay...whatever! It's nice on the inside with comfy seats. The food was way spicier than I expected! I'm quite sure that a lot of people wouldn't enjoy that level of heat? Also, it's a little pricey for the amount of food you get and the amount of service that you get. Luna grill is so delicious!! I ordered the gyro plate with spicy hummus the first time I went there. It was a generous portion. My husband and I shared the plate with some food left over. The food tasted fresh and tasty! The second time, I ordered the classic wrap gyro with fries. The picture in the menu is actually smaller than what you get!! It was a generous portion!! Same tasty food I had compared to the first time. The fries were soft crunchy and warm!! Soft enough to taste the potato but crunchy to get that satisfaction of the fry! I keep coming back because of the amount you get and the quality of the food. read more
