We love Luna Grill! We usually go to the Luna Grill in Sherman Oaks but we were shopping at the Sanrio and Miniso store and were so glad to see there was a Luna Grill at the plaza. I ordered a beef kebab plate (to go) for the very first time at this location. The service was friendly, but slow. The beef was extremely tough and stringy. Some pieces were very well done and two pieces were medium rare. There was no consistency and the quality was terrible. I could not eat it! The salad that comes with the plate was wilted and inedible. The only thing that was really great on this plate was the pita bread. The plate was very expensive and I regret ordering it. I would never return to Luna Grill! I could have gone to Panini Café and gotten the best quality meat for the same price, but it was farther away and I decided to try this place instead. First thing, the food was absolutely DELICIOUS! I ordered the koobideh kabob pita and it was so juicy it was dripping all over my plate! My partner ordered the chicken pita and it was equally juicy. The meats were flavorful and wasn't greasy! The fries were perfectly seasoned too. The server was really kind and brought the food to us in a timely manner. I wish I could give this review a zero star. I am writing to express my deep disappointment with the service I received at your restaurant at your University Center location on 8/9/24 around 12:00 PM. I have been a loyal customer of Luna Grill for some time and have always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Especially at the Tustin location. However, my recent experience was far below the standard I have come to expect. I visited your restaurant with four other co-workers for what we hoped would be an enjoyable dinner. Unfortunately, the service we received was incredibly poor from the start. The manager directed the cashier/server to just place our food on the table when it was ready in a very annoyed tone by saying "just drop it on the table." We also noticed that the manager had consequently put her thumb in all of our plates in the process of placing the food on the table. The manager was inattentive and unprofessional. We then asked for the pita bread that comes with the salad and she answered "we never give pita bread with salad, if you want some, I'll have to charge you for it." Even though on the menu it says it comes with pita bread and I have always received it in the past. Additionally one of my friends ordered an entrée fries and received a single person fries. The manager then said it was the entree sized fries she ordered when it was just the same size as the regular sized fries. I finally went inside to politely as for the pita bread and the correct sized fries and also asked to speak to the manager. I expressed my satisfaction with the whole service asked to speak to a manager and she claimed she was the manager and the district manager and refused to give me her name or business card. but would bring out the pita bread and fries as soon as possible. The pita bread and fries took 15 mins to come out and at that point we were done with our meals. I attempted to address the situation with your manager, rather than apologizing or offering a solution, the manager seemed dismissive of our concerns and provided no effort to improve our experience. This lack of concern from both the server and the manager left us feeling extremely frustrated and undervalued as customers. I really do hope other patrons do not get treated like this. read more

We always enjoy their fresh and healthy meals whenever we are there. The place is usually not too busy so we do not need to wait too long for the food, but last Saturday there must have been an event going on at UCI. It was very busy with only one person working in the front; however, Danielle was very good. I was watching her while waiting for the food, and she did not lose control taking the orders, serving the plates to the tables and getting all the things ready for the pick-up customers. For a fast food place this is exceptional. We shared a chicken and gyro meat plate. It has rice salad and tadziki. Enough for both of us with leftovers for both of us. The place is nice, no frills. The price was $30 for the meal and a drink and an extra pita. They brought an extra plate to share. Good job. My gyro was delicious. read more

To start off, service was fantastic. Friendly cashiers and quick delivery of your food to your table. I sat outside mid afternoon on a Thursday because it was warm and sunny. Patio was very clean, and there was a bunch of people walking around going from business to business. This place is right next to a very large college campus, so it can get busy, but if you avoid the times classes are letting out, you'll be fine. If you're a UCI student, you're out of luck. Gyro meat was well seasoned and tasted very good. The tzatziki sauce was mild, most places seem to try and figure out how much dill fits into one container of sauce and it overpowers everything, but not at Luna Grill. Slightly higher price than a lot of fast food, but overall not bad. A nice and easy quick lunch, in, eat, out without any issues. Bonus of water cups being a good size, not the tiny flimsy plastic a lot of places have moved to. read more

The food here is good! Place is pretty new, clean and spacious. The kabobs combos are about 15 dollars. They also have bowl and salad and they are about 10 bucks. The bowl is a perfect size for me. I finished it (didn't finish all the rice); I felt good and energetic after eating the bowl (fresh kale salad, hummus, rice and a few pieces of chicken). They don't offer kid meal, but we ordered some pita bread and hummus, and a chicken and fries for our kid and she loved it and able to finished all the carrot slices, hummus, some fries and chicken. They also offer beer and wine too; and desserts! read more

It's decent Mediterranean food but the service makes it suck. Any time you go here that's within an hour of closing they make you get it to go. Seriously, you can't even dine in with almost a hour hour left before you close? Come on... not to mention, the food is packed in the to go all sloppy and gross. It takes away from the food food. My advice? Let people dine in until you close. Stop treating your customers like swine. Oh, and your soda dispensers make the sodas smell and taste like soap. Stop washing them with dirty towels and non-food grade soaps. Place needs a serious service revamp. read more

Great price point for the quality of food that is served here. There's multiple kabob combo plates, wraps and bowls that you can choose from. Morgan and Dani had the BEST customer service here!! Both were extremely friendly, on top of our order, and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our order. I don't see a lot of restaurants do that anymore, so it was a pleasant change to see at Luna Grill!
