Bad experience here. Seated at 7pm and didn't get our food till 9pm. Had to ask for our salad after an hour, then asked about our pizza an hour after that. Pizza felt like it had been sitting out for awhile. I emailed the restaurant about this and never heard back. Thinking of going here? Don't do it. There's better pizza and service elsewhere. Update 4/25/2022: We filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau a couple weeks ago after receiving no response from the restaurant. We received a response back today from the restaurant owner, who just insulted and attacked us in his response. We cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Do not eat here. You can get better pizza and better service somewhere else. We were seated for dinner and had to wait over two hours for the pizza to arrive. When we got the pizza it was not warm and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while. We asked our server, Liz, about our order a couple times and she did not apologize for the wait or inconvenience. Ordered 2 pizzas and a Caesar salad . I have never ordered from Lupo and found them via Yelp. Looked at the menu, and the Caesar salad said it was romaine lettuce. When I got home, I found the "Caesar" was not romaine . Called to ask about the salad, and they told me it was Radicchio. I was told, in no uncertain terms, that the Yelp menu was not the most up to date. The lupo website has the most updated menu. As a consumer/customer, I would have expected a little less sass and more empathy at the mixup. It's the establishments responsibility to ensure consistency across platforms so customers are knowledgeable/informed about our choices. I did not appreciate the staff member on the phone basically telling me "too bad", Chances are I won't be back to this place. read more

Came for my husband's 40th birthday with his folks. Perfect for a non-pretentious, delicious night out. Embarrassed to say we were about 10min late to our reservation. I called to let them know and they were super understanding. We had drinks, a few apps, and pizzas. The pizzas took longer than expected to come out, but the servers acknowledged us and thanked us for our patience- always goes such a long way! Especially since we were late! Without a doubt one of the best pizza places we've had. And the corn with butter and spice, WHAT IN THE WORLD? That corn is to die for, so amazing, possibly the single greatest food on the planet - ever!!! When we order the wonderful pizza we order WAY TOO MUCH of the corn-cob and if it makes it to leftover we fight over it. And that's the only thing we've ever fought about (Kidding we don't really fight but we see who can fun faster to the fridge). I'm not kidding that stuff is not from this world-good. I ate a Le Corna pizza and the burrata last night and then proceeded to dream about a Le Corna pizza and the burrata while sleeping. So freaking delicious. Quality ingredients (the cheese, the peppers, THAT CRUST *heart eyes*). I did curbside pickup and the dude who brought the goods to my car was super friendly. When you go to Lupo, it's clear from the ambiance, food, and prices that it's not a quick bite but a dining experience. Although their food, specifically the rigatoni pasta and Hot Coppa pizza were stand outs, unfortunately I have to rate them lower based on their slow and inattentive service. Be prepared to wait 30+ minutes for your pizzas and pastas to arrive, which honestly is not a big deal. However I cant say they are worth the service we received. After a long wait, in which our server didn't check in on us once to ask us how we were doing or let us know the food would be coming shortly, we had one of our pizzas and a pasta dropped off. Once we had gotten our food, our server didn't bother coming over to ask about the food and we had to wave her down because we were missing a pizza. After realizing we didn't get one pizza and checking in on it, she said it'll come in 15 minutes and she purposely spaced it out since the plates are too large for the table, which I find really weird that she would have spaced the pizzas out without informing us and having to make us ask her about it and at that point we were almost halfway through our food and we didn't want to finish everything and be brought another pizza after we were done so we asked for it to go. When we were ready to pay the bill (almost 20 minutes after being told the pizza would be done in 15) there was still no pizza. By the time we paid our bill we were told it would come in a few minutes, but unfortunately they kept us waiting at the table for almost 15 minutes after we had paid just to get the pizza. Just surprised that they kept us waiting for so long and assured us it would be out soon when we ended up having to stay after the bill was paid, for a pizza that was supposed to come out while we were eating! read more

I've had pizza before but never been entranced by it. After so many years of delivery Pizza lowering my expectations this pizza, for better or for worse, re-ignited my passion for pizza. It was like living in a dark room for years then suddenly someone turned the lights on. I ordered the oyster mushroom pizza. The crust was soft and chewy with a crispy bottom and the ratio of toppings to bread was perfect. It was served with grated Parmesan, chili flakes, and. Chili oil. The chili oil and the parm were the perfect pairing with the savory depth of the mushrooms. It was very busy and filled with raucous conversation but it wasn't so overwhelming as I would feel compelled to leave. I would definitely come back any time I'm in the area. read more

I've gone to Lupo a few times with just one or two people before and always loved my experience, and was so excited when I found out I could reserve a table for up to 12 people! I love the service at Lupo and I could definitely depend on the food, so Lupo was perfect for my birthday dinner. The table seated in the back of the restaurant was so nice, the ambience was perfect! The lighting was so beautiful for all the pictures my party took. I am so grateful to Lupo's staff for being above and beyond kind and thoughtful during our meal, and I would definitely recommend Lupo not just for smaller parties but also for a family style meal everyone can enjoy. The pizzas are always so flavorful and the texture is my favorite. The pasta, which most of my party decided to order, is a personal favorite of mine. I always end up craving Lupo pasta if I haven't had it in a while! I first was introduced to Lupo because my friend lives around the corner, and it definitely lived up to their hype. Lupo is definitely a favorite for food & service equally, and I can tell there is always such effort put into how everything tastes. Love this place - the sourdough crust is next level! Small menu but quality ingredients. This is now on our list of "must visit" while in Seattle. Cesar salad was delish and shareable. Sitting at the restaurant for my birthday. Had a reservation for 6:30. Arrived at 6:35 and then myself and a party of four were seated. Drinks came out quick. Salads took a bit but the pizzas were ordered at 6:55 and here I am at 8:10pm waiting for them. I understand if you are busy but one hour for a pizza? Maybe I have been spoiled since I have never had to wait that time when I lived in San Francisco. I will update after I eat. I went here two years ago and it was awesome but I didn't have to wait this long. Regardless of the wait, pizza was fantastic. One of the best pizzerias in Seattle. The staff was very nice, hence the 2 stars, although the crust was pretty upsetting. I've never had a pizza where the crust was doughy and undercooked. Both pizzas were the same way. Maybe this is their style. The toppings were good though. I think they just need to turn down the heat a tad and let the pizza cook through, to ensure the dough cooks all the way through. It's sourdough, so they may need to treat it differently than the classic delicate Neapolitan style. The undercarriage was barely cooked as well. read more

The ambience of the restaurant is relaxing and great for people-watching if you're sitting on the patio during a nice night in Seattle. However, service was slow despite it not being too busy. We ordered 2 arugula salads and a prosciutto crudo pizza between 2 of us, and a glass of the house red wine. The salad was okay, but it didn't come tossed. It only consisted of arugula, Parmesan, and lemon, with barely any olive oil. Although it was good, we expected that for the $8 we paid for each salad, they would have provided a bit more. We could have easily made the salad at home. I also wished there were entree-sized salad options for the purpose of sharing as an appetizer. In terms of the pizza, it came uncut and we had to cut the hot pizza ourselves with scissors. While it tasted good, we wish there was more cheese and was overall less soggy. The dough was good but the toppings ratio felt off. For what it was, we don't think the pizza was worth the $18. Overall, the ambience was nice, but food was not worth the price. read more

Top 3 if not best pizza in Seattle. The crust is too good the perfect mix of wood fired taste, with a bite but still doughy. You will know what I mean when you try it yourself. Get the burrata hot honey pizza I add pepperoni and it's practically heaven. We have been long standing delivery customers and finally got to eat at the restaurant. All I can say is we will be regulars. Recently also tried the pasta also 10/10 but do not leave this place without trying the pizza. Unfortunatley Lupo misses the basic ingredient of a good pizza; the crust. It looks like the real thing, and the reviews would indicate it will have the real thing, but it doesn't. The crust is as doughy and spongey as most pizzas in the US. To make a good pizza you HAVE to get the crust right, and then everything else adds to the flavor. If you miss the first step the rest is all about good intentions gone wrong. The caesar salad also suffered from this affliction; the greens were soggy.
