We were told to come here when we are at Cha Cha Tang, I believe they are sister restaurants. We had a fantastic meal! Our table wasn't ready so we sat at the bar until it was. Staff were all friendly and gave us great service. The food was fantastic! So fresh and flavorful. We had some sashimi pieces, tuna tataki, amazingggg sea bass with lobster rigatoni. Favorite was definitely the sea bass but the salmon also had my eye, maybe next time! Really recommend Lure! Can't wait to come back
I went for an impromptu brunch. The Service and decor were awesome. I didn't eat much so my review is for a limited tasting. The oyster deviled eggs were good no complaints there. The Maine lobster salad was okay nothing really stood out flavor Wise. Cocktail was good I forgot what it was something with cherry. Good experience would like to try dinner one day if it's still open.
Oh my oh my! The freshest fish ever, and this cookie is perfect too. It's sweet, salty, and rich. Absolutely THE date night restaurant. I can't wait to come back, and eat on an empty stomach so I can eat even more!
Excellent as usual... The place looks and creams screams high end bar vibes but has the hustle and bustle of a fast food restaurant. Seafood was fresh and delicious. The service was good.. however there was some opportunity there. I'll definitely be back!
A few of my friends and I were looking to get together for some dinner and to catch up - the biggest question was, where? We first decided on a place that was new to us - and after seeing Lure Fishbar floating around on social media I thought it would be a good place to check out. That being said, I booked a table and we made plans to link up. Lure is located in SoHo, really in the thick of it in a subbasement of a building. The space is pretty large for a lower Manhattan restaurant, and the entire dining room has a nautical feel. It's meant to give off the impression that you're on a boat with the fixtures and aesthetics to match. The dining room is louder than I expected, with most of the tables and booths being in the middle of the space with a large (beverage) bar to the left and the raw bar on the back wall. The clientele is a mixed bag - families, people my age, groups of gen Z - all i various dress codes. Rarely have I seen a mix of people in a single space. It goes without saying but the menu mostly contains seafood items. They have a large raw bar selection, as well as sushi, caviar, apps, mains, a few pastas, and some sides. But first a drink - we had two round and I tried one of their cocktails each time. Both were pretty good, nothing too out of this world but solid overall. We decided to start with one of the seafood towers and a couple of apps. We went with one of the smaller towers which contained clams, oysters, crab claws, shrimp cocktail, and tuna tartare. I'm not an oyster fan, but everything else was quite tasty - they paired the seafood with a few sauces which acted as great complements. We also ordered shrimp tempura, the crab cake, and fluke crudo. All of these were solid - my favorite was the crudo due to the presentation and flavor accents; I thought the crab cake was was the weakest - it was deep fried and overall a little too heavy. For my main I went with the Branzino St. Tropez; this was a filet served on top of mashed potatoes, and spinach topped with crispy capers and finished with brown butter. The dish was fine overall - fish was cooked well though the potatoes could have been smoother; I did appreciate the balance of veg to starch. We opted for dessert, and I went with the deep-dish cookie. This was served warm and topped with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. It was just okay; they were going for that warm cookie moment but it was kinda underdone which led to it being really soggy underneath the surface. It needed to be in the oven for a little longer and then it would have been perfect. Service was fine - a little impersonal in my opinion but the food came out at a good pace which I appreciated; this seems to be a sore spot based on other reviews. Overall, we had a great time at Lure Fishbar - the food was solid, the aesthetics were fun, and the company was great. Definitely a good option for dining if you're in SoHo.
As a former New Yorker, this establishment has been undefeated since my first visit years ago. Now, that i travel to the coty for work 4-6 times a year, it has become my go to, weather solo or with friends. Dimly lit, perfect for conversations and vibe. Knowledgeable and kind staff. Perfect execution of every dish. And the flavors are always to the max. If you love seafood, pasta, sushi, and great cocktails you cant go wrong with Lure. The sushi bar is my usual seating, but you're OK anywhere here.
I came here early this year for Winter Restaurant Week lunch on a whim. Ambiance brought back memories from the last time I was here which was in 2009. Service was great. Food was just as good as I remembered 16 years ago. For the two course restaurant week lunch, I added a wine pairing. For my appetizer I had the rock shrimp tempura with a glass of chardonnay. For my dinner entree I had the miso salmon with a glass of Cote du Rhone. I devoured everything. Wine was generous for the food consumed. I'd like to return to indulge in their happy hour.
Very festive for the holidays! The boat themed interior is very unique- definitely worth going below street level for. The deviled egg with a fried oyster on top may be the best bite I have ever had in an NYC restaurant. Never been to Lure, but finally got my opportunity when I met my cousins visiting from CA here. Bar area was very busy, with the restaurant having multiple dining areas including a sushi chef counter towards the back. The menu appears to be mostly "Asian" flavor profile inspired seafood with some exceptions. For entree, got the whole fried snapper which was good but honestly would probably rather just go to a Thai spot and get a snapper larb. Would come back in the future to try the sushi, since that seems like a major thing here. Saketini is strong and very botanical, so do not get if you are not into martinis!
Totally loved the place. In the heart of soho. Great menu. Friendly staff fun ambience. Sat at the bar. Ordered burger. Mushrooms and yellow tail carpaccio. All were absolutely perfect. I cannot wait to go back. And try more places on the menu.
Lure is the best! Lure is one of those places that is always consistent. Does it ever blow my socks off in terms of how amazing the dish was? No. But is it always very very good with zero complaints around? Yes. Service is always great with attentive servers and always friendly energy. The ambience is very cool as you feel like you're in an old ship and it's the perfect setting for a seafood dinner. Keep doing what you're doing Lure and we will keep coming back!
Wow! My first experience surpassed my highest expectations. Upon walking in immediately became immersed in the nautical theme of the restaurant. From the yacht-like interior, decor and antique-like wooden walls, the ambiance set the mood for a dining experience on the sea. To complement the vibe, the service was great. The entire team was pleasant, attentive and very professional. Our server helped me navigate the menu, accommodated my food sensitivities, and made perfect wine pairing recommendations that took the meal to a new level. All other elements aside, the food alone deserves 5 stars in my opinion. I started the with a few East coast oysters and some nigiri sushi (tamago and sea eel), both of which tasted fresh, flavorful and no cocktail or soy sauce was necessary. I followed that with the slow baked turbot entree (an east coast white fish) jasmine rice and a glass of Albariño, recommended by my server. It all was delicious and left me wishing the meal would never end. Lastly, I could not pass up ordering a salmon skin sushi roll which did not disappoint. As you can probably already tell, I have nothing but good things to share. If you get the opportunity, go dine at Lure and experience it all first-hand.
Visited Lure Fishbar on a Wednesday evening with a girlfriend. Our reservation was at 5:45 (which was the only time we could get) and the place was full by 6pm! The restaurant itself is a really nice space and had a great buzzy atmosphere to it for a Wednesday. We both started with Lychee Martinis which were very good (although at $22 each you would hope they were). We ordered the tempura shrimp and the spicy tuna crispy rice to start. The shrimp portion was very generous and had a really good flavour. The crispy rice was also very tasty, although nearly $30 for 5 pieces it is a little on the pricey side. For our mains we ordered the Shazam roll and the tuna avocado roll and my friend also ordered a lobster bisque. The sushi was ok but it didn't blow me away. My friend enjoyed her bisque and the portion was generous. We split our bill and it came to $140 each (including tax and tip). We did have two cocktails so that bumped the price up. I don't eat out in soho very often but I think for the area the price is probably inline with what you would expect to pay. I would revisit Lure but I would probably order something different instead of the sushi rolls, although make sure you order that tempura shrimp!
I am blown away!!! From the minute I walked down the stairs I was captivated by the vibe of being on a classy yacht. But then sitting in the main dining area in a semi circle booth, I felt like the captain of the ship. The crew then took over with the most casual warm friendly attentive service. I knew this was going to be an amazing way to celebrate my wife's 64th and my 65th birthday. Then came the star of show. A beautiful platter of oysters, clams, snow crab, tuna tar tar and seafood salad. It was a wow!!! Next we had the crispy rice sushi assortment, bacon wrapped shrimp and the halibut! Everything was to die for and I cannot wait to come back with my friends and family to share this gem of an establishment! Bravo to the amazing Lure Fishbar team and Thank You!

Skip this place... Half of the menu items were not available- no lobster roll, no lobster tempura roll, no miso salmon and so on. The sea urchin pasta was terrible and tasteless. It looked great too- such a disappointment. The ribeye was average at best, the mashed potatoes cold. The spicy tuna crispy rice was terrible compared to other places. They forgot to bring our filet and then it came out more than halfway into our meal. The only good dish was the mac and cheese. Try somewhere else read more
I've been excited about Lure Fishbar for a while, unfortunately our experience didn't live up to the hype. I was so intrigued by their restaurant week menu which is why I came here in the first place. When we showed up to be seated, the staff let us know that their gas wasn't working and as a result they were no longer doing restaurant week items. They also mentioned they would have a shorter menu that night. I completely understand that these things can go wrong but the waitstaff seemed annoyed that we were there to dine there rather than showing any sign of an apology. Regardless we tried their shortened menu which was decent. They were able to make my cocktail without added sugar which I appreciated as it was still a delicious cocktail. As for the food, the tuna tacos were good but I didn't feel like it was incredible - could have had some more flavor. The sushi rolls were actually not good at all, they were very poorly constructed and overpriced. The uni pasta dish we got was delicious and was definitely the highlight of the night. read more
I started going to this place about 6 years ago. It was always a solid place to go with friends when im looking for a decent food and atmosphere to eat in. Their interior is more like inside of a ship and creates that different experience. Food was very average when I went yesterday. I ordered oysters which were pretty fresh, I also ordered the Classic Lobster Roll and Shazam Roll as well. The Classic Lobster Roll was the most expensive menu from their entrees and it was a bit of disappointment. The seasoning and overall flavor was underwhelming. Really did not justify the price. Shazam Roll was a bit salty. I really couldn't taste the fish as is. I had 3 entrees for the table and it took almost 50 mins for our entrees to come out. Their food was so delicious. One of my favorite crispy rices ever. Great cocktails as well. I wish I was hungry enough for the late night dim sum because it looked phenomenal. Great decor throughout, feels like you're one the inside of a boat. read more

We came here after snagging the last table in the whole restaurant on a Friday night, highly anticipating the restaurant week menu. We knew that the place was going to be busy, but even we couldn't guess exactly how hectic it was gonna be. The main takeaway was that the appetizer took over an hour to come out, followed by at least another 45 minutes for the main course. However, our servers were extremely gracious and accommodating, and were wonderful despite how many patrons were there. I got the tuna tartare as an appetizer, which was alright. The tuna itself didn't seem very fresh, but the taste was pretty good. My friends got the shrimp tempura, and they definitely enjoyed their dish more! The salmon was fresh, although a bit overcooked. However, the miso glaze added a great flavor and the veggies paired well. The highlight was DEFINITELY the molten lava chocolate cake, which was sweet and soft, and ended the meal on a bang. I would definitely recommend coming here only for the restaurant week meal. And, unlike us, you should check the weather to determine if the wind will be blowing at 40 mph before choosing to sit outdoors. read more

3 because my entree was sushi and I wasn't impressed with the sushi. The devil eggs and shrimp were good but those are hard to mess up especially if caviar is on top. Other than that the sushi was not worth going back for. read more

First time at lure fishbar. After seeing their Instagram so many times, it was time to go. The menu was a little pricey, but worth it IF the foods tastes and looks good. Unfortunately the food didn't have much flavor. The eggs were super small and lacked flavor he dumplings (only available for brunch), were also bland and a little over cooked. Luckily there was sauce to dip them in to make them more enjoyable. The home how as super good. This honestly would be the only dish I would order again if I came back. The sushi rolls lacked flavor and probably could have used some sauce. Wouldn't get these again either. However, the fish was very fresh- and the sashimi was good. The oysters were shucked good and they had a decent variety. And the drinks.. delicious! The yuzu martini - yum! After a $400 Bill, I can suggest other places for the same amount that are better and worth the money, or even more affordable. I don't think I would come back unless someone gave me a gift card here. read more

This is definitely one of the more iconic restaurants in Soho. It's been around since...feels like probably forever. It's just around the corner behind the Prada store and whenever I walk by I always peer down into the windows as if I'll see something cool, but there's never anything to see (it's just a reflex at this point). I dined here during the pandemic in their outdoor village. We ordered the crispy snapper for two, tuna tacos, lobster mac, and one of their sushi rolls. The snapper was very good and the portion felt quite substantial along with the other dishes (we were a party of 3). Very flavorful, crispy, tender and flaky on the inside. It came with a side of fried rice, which was also decent. The mac was decadent, creamy, al dente, with nice chunks of lobster. The tacos were good. The only thing that I had higher expectations for was the sushi. The rice tasted stale and hard (not your soft pillowy sushi rice). I enjoyed my meal and would recommend this place for their seafood for sure. read more

Came in tonight for a birthday celebration. The place was awesome, ambience was perfect, nicely lit, a bit noisy but enjoyable. Service was excellent. Ordered the seafood deluxe, plenty to eat, fresh, crispy rice spicy Tuna app, have to try this, charred octopus was great but not enough and kale Cesar salad loved the combination. Onto dinner we ordered the filet Mignon, lobster tempura roll, linguine vongole, sea urchin bucatini. WOW all of them were delicious, nice size portions. And drinks lychee martinis, and expresso martinis perfecto! Great dinner, atmosphere and service, check this place out you will love it.... read more
This is a really cute seafood place. The indoors looks like you are on a boat. Food was fresh, I really recommend the sushi. I give one star off because they did not give us king crab in our seafood plate even though it was included (especially in the price) and if we did not notice they would have charged us for it, which felt a bit dishonest. We swung by Lure Fishbar while shopping in Soho. We were able to get seated without reservations. Our server was friendly and prompt. The restaurant had cute decor and the staff did a great job of following safety protocols. We ordered from the brunch menu. I tried the lobster roll since I wanted a light lunch. It was pretty good. My husband went against the norm and ordered a burger (yes at a seafood restaurant) based on a pic he saw & was actually disappointed. (Smaller than expected and not as tasty) Although I was well aware of dining in Soho, I must admit this restaurant was overpriced for just average food. However - location was great :) read more

Orders: - Kanpachi Sashimi (5/5) - Uni Jalapeño Crispy Sushi Rice (3/5) Tasty but not worth it; better get their uni sashimi or tuna crispy rice instead. - Combo 3 of Each Signature Oysters (6/5) The oysters with Caviar & Vodka and Pineapple Relish was so refreshing and delicious!! - Branzino St. Tropez (5/5) Unexpectedly tasty! Crispy skin & soft meat! YUM Tempura Shrimp (3/5) Asked our waiter to pick an additional dish for us but this was average :/ Crispy but not worth it. Stick to their fresh raw selections! read more
I made a reservation at Lure for my birthday dinner and I'm so happy I did. Reservation was for 7:30pm on Saturday night. Naturally, there was NYC traffic so some of the party was 10-15 minutes late. The hostesses did not seat the group until all members were accounted for. Standard. No problem. I made a reservation here because of the seafood menu and the fabulous interior design of the restaurant. I grew up on boats so it was very cool to be in the middle of Soho, but feeling like I was out on a yacht! We started out with a mix of Blue Point and Blue Soeil oysters. All fresh and fabulous. I ordered the Hellfire Sushi (spicy tuna, cucumber, tempura flake, brûléed tuna, avocado, kimchi sauce). It was FABULOUS. All my favorite ingredients in one roll. Incredible. My group also split the ice cream sandwiches for dessert. The four flavors were vanilla with chocolate chips, vanilla with rainbow sprinkles, chocolate half dipped in chocolate, and strawberry raspberry. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. So we were really hyped to get out and try Lure. Heard some good things from people so considered this a must try. I have to say I'm pretty disappointed. We ordered a bunch of stuff so we can get a taste of everything. We also did show up during brunch so the menu was a bit different. The bang bang shrimp was probably the best value. They gave you a ton of shrimp for a reasonable price. The deviled eggs I could of done without, and usually that's my favorite part of a meal. The hamachi was the most flavorful and definitely our favorite part of the meL. The lobster dumplings were very bland. And the nigiri was decent, just like any other sushi spot. Oysters were solid snd shucked perfectly, we were very pleased with those. Unfortunately I won't be going back to lure, for the price you can sit at mostly any top omakase spot and get a way better experience and meal. read more

The inside is awesome, decorated to look like the inside of a ship. Obviously you have to get seafood! I was pleasantly surprised by the great quality of the sushi and sashimi options, but also the cooked seafood entrees are definitely yummy options. I see some negative reviews on here about the service, but honestly I didn't feel like anything was negative about the experience. I did sit inside so maybe the outside is a dif vibe, but this place has been around a long time so I can't think it's common. It was pretty easy to make a same-day res, but I'd always suggest making a res or calling ahead! read more
Lure Fishbar is a very casual expertly designed interior to look like a boat ,restaurant . If you're a fan of fish and seafood in general I can attest that this is a really solid option . If you don't , well their chicken is ridiculously good as well ! My miso glazed salmon meal was really good . Could have probably benefited more from a more intensely flavored glaze but very good overall. The sugar snap peas and shiitake mushrooms really complimented the fish well offering so needed texture . Her pan roasted chicken was some of the best I've had. Super moist , crispy- ish skin on a bed of zucchini mashed beans and Parmesan Jus goodness . This is a meal I'd return for for sure ! For desert we had the brown butter cake. Wow . Extreme scrumptiousness in every bite . Great for two people as well ! Lure has happy employees you could see and it reflects in a well run restaurant worth checking out . read more
Outside never felt so good. Yep, dining in the time of COVID. Comfortable "street shelters" with clear plastic-walled cubicles made possible sushi with friends, even if we couldn't be enjoying the indoor Lure ship-like surroundings. Sushi rolls were tasty, as always, and drinks were like your outfit on a first date - well-styled. Lively crowd on a warm Friday night. This place is always a bit of a scene and outside the flirting, shots, and coffee martinis were still flowing btw patrons even if socially distanced - though getting closer by the shot! Lure equals fresh seafood at the "meat market" with inspired meals. read more

This place is such a classic, I highly recommend and will be back. Food is incredible and service is great as well. More recently sat outside (which I wouldn't necessarily recommend because of the noise on this street) but the interior has cool decor and is built to look like the inside of a ship. Definitely add to your NYC hit list. read more
Love this place. Pre-pandemic this is my go to place in SoHo. Their happy hour menu is incredible. The chefs, staff, and bar staff are wonderful. This was my first time back since the pandemic and it was just good to be back. Food quality is A1. We did the rock shrimp, oysters with jalapeño ponzu, and the sashimi. All were incredible. It was my friends first time here and she loved it and can't wait to return. Happy to see this place is open and still a staple of SoHo dining, and still as good as ever. Unfortunately, my favorite mixologist, Rebecca is no longer with the establishment but I'll be back to dine again soon. read more

Lure is always a delight. I visited Lure with my pup and they treated him amazing! I had their -Clam chowder -Miso Salmon -side of mash I enjoyed all parts of it. They also took care of my pupated. I will visit again read more

This was the first stop on my trip to NYC to celebrate my 60th birthday. Saw the YouTube video and wanted to try it out. It did not disappoint. We were there Aug 15th 2023 7:00 pm reservation but they got us in about 20 minutes early. We had the Deviled eggs with crispy oyster appetizer. The Grand tower and cheese cake for dessert. The food was outstanding!!!!!! The only issue we had was our waitress had several large tables. One of the tables she had, the chef even came out and greeted the entire table, one by one; then did the same thing to another of her tables. Her attention to us made us feel like an afterthought. I think if she did not have the big tables, her service to us would've been better. Would I go back most definitely. The food and drinks were outstanding!! I can give them a pass on the service this time because it was so busy and the food made up for any failure in service; at lest for me. read more
