You can smell the goodies from the street! You know it's good when the aromas linger! We came in around 8:30am on a Saturday and there was just one other person ordering. There's lots to choose from here from croissant & bagel sandwiches, traditional donuts & cronuts! We decided on the ham & cheese croissants & glazed cronuts. A very sweet older Asian lady assisted us & it looked like it was a family business. The cronuts were good but I've definitely had better. The ham & cheese croissants were heavenly perfection. They are given to you warm & crispy with sweet melted Swiss cheese and ham inside of them. Every bite is out of this world! They are also massive! This croissant was double the size of my hand. I tried the apple fritter here that everyone raved about and it was pretty good! Not the best I've had, but a bit different. I normally like apple fritters really super crunchy and crispy throughout, but the one here was crispy on the outside but fluffy inside. Just kinda wished there were more apples inside the fritter. The price was cheaper than most places which is a plus! They have a good variety and donuts looked fresh. They sell cronuts here, but no super crazy flavors. I liked that they keep it simple w/ the original flavors like chocolate, glazed, and maple on the cronuts. But what does it for me is their Bacon, Egg, and Cheese Croissants. You do get the buttery outsides of the bread along with the savory core of layers bacon, egg and melted cheese. Depending on my mood I do switch it up simply ordering their Ham, Cheese and Jalapeno Croissants sandwich. Both choices are in good portions and aren't made sloppy, they are prepared fresh and ready to go (inside a styrofoam container). Their iced Vietnamese coffee can pass. It taste like pumps of generic syrup flavor. For those who like donuts they do have a larger selection here in this area than others. I do like their menus on the wall, even though their food photos of different sandwich bagels and croissant choices all look alike. But hey, they give you an idea how savory and yummy they appear to be. The shop is clean and spacious, they do have lots of seating. Its a good local spot for breakfast and lunch. They welcomed us in with genuine smiles. They have a variety of croissant sandwiches, regular sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, as well as donuts and cronuts. They also have the ham and cheese croissants, and you can order with or without jalapeños. I enjoyed mine, because it was super cheesy! Unfortunately, my boyfriend's ham and cheese croissant didn't have that much cheese, so they might be inconsistent. Nevertheless, we still enjoyed our meal. We also ordered the maple cronut. I was also happy to find out they serve Vietnamese coffee too! Minimum of $9 to use credit/debit card. They have several booth-styled tables, if you want to stay and eat in. Today I found out how this place stays alive in a mostly vacant lot. The locals are the regulars here. Retirees and early morning joggers frequent this place a lot. Hence, no Yelp reviews. But this light pastry, glazed flavored is AMAZING. It's my new favorite. They have 3 flavors: MAPLE, GLAZED, and STRAWBERRY. GLAZED DONUTS I wanted donut holes!! BUt they ran out, so I got a few of the twisty ones for later in the day. COFFEE They have small coffees for $1. Med for $1.50. The hot coffee is just OK. Not too bold like Micky D's down the street, but i add hazlenut coffee from the ready made thermos there, and it adds some flavor. I believe they also have Vanilla, and Decaf. Most other places have a thicker shell with just a little cream. Here, they do not skimp on the Bavarian cream inside. Just the way I prefer it! Open very early in the morning. I have been there as early as 5:00am. I come in and get an Egg sandwich and a black coffee. When I walk in the counter person always greets me with a smile and remembers what I am getting. She does that with everyone who enters. Their prices are fair, I have purchased doughnuts for the office and they are boxed quickly and you are able to pick what you would like or leave it up to the counter person. Came here around 8:45am and ordered a Chocolate Cronut and Jalapeño Ham & Cheese Croissant. Chocolate Cronut: COLD. If you aren't here right when they take these out of the oven, you'll be served ready-made Cronuts. A real bummer, IMO, Cronuts are meant to be eaten warm. The actual dough was really good though. The texture was flakey and buttery. There wasn't any filling like the famous NY ones. I don't know if the regular ones come with filling. They are skimpy with the chocolate sauce; I've had other shops' chocolate Cronuts and they actually dip the whole tops like Kelly's Donuts, Luv n Donuts drizzle theirs. Anyway, it's a real shame they don't offer made-to-order Cronuts. Sure, people who are in a rush to work could benefit from the pre-made ones but people like me who are willing to wait a bit to get the best tasting food item it could be wouldn't mind too much, right? Jalapeño Ham & Cheese Croissant: Doesn't beat Seaside. Luv n Donuts did pack a lot of peppers in the croissant but I think that was the only positive. The ham wasn't very tasty, not disgusting, but not delicious. There wasn't that much cheese. It was mostly croissant, peppers and boring (on the verge of blah) ham. When in a corporate world, we do our best to build relationships around these vendors because we know we'll see them often. In this case I was INTRIGUED by their avocado lemon pepper bagel! I LOVE THIS open face bagel!!! I questioned the bag I received my bagel in when I left since it's never been in a bag, how does an open face bagel fit in a bag? ‍ pictures were perfect so meh! I get to my office and desk I instantly became disappointed when I went based of a picture of a different customers experience at your donut shop and unfortunately I got the short end of the stick or a lazy employee to work on my bagel. I've taken them to work and to get togethers and people always rave about these because they aren't overly sweet. Cronuts present one big problem. Luv n Donuts was a pleasant surprise for me. For years, my mother has claimed this to be the best donut shop around, even outlasting Krispy Kremes just a block away. Oh wait, I want that one too!" The donut and cronut selection is on par with the famous Randy's donuts. However, setting them apart, they also have huge apple fritters, monster size ham and cheese croissants, apple or raspberry burritos, as well as a large selection of brunch sandwiches. Don't walk away without trying a Thai Tea, or other fresh juice with boba or without. The place was clean. The two ladies working were friendly, helpful and patient with me as I tried to make my selection while convincing myself that I shouldn't buy more than it is reasonable to eat. I happened to want all three the morning I went and wasn't disappointed at all. I ended up getting the "#6" which is the croissant breakfast sandwich with egg, bacon and cheese. The bacon was crispy and the actual sandwich size was HUGE! I don't think I'd ever had a cronut before, so I don't have much to compare it to but...YUM lol. Flaky, soft, sugary, delicious! Every Friday my office takes turns on bringing donuts and mine are unanimously voted the best each time so I'm bragging for them here :) Food: There is a wide selection of donuts which are always soft and warm. They also have surprisingly good breakfast and lunch sandwhiches, my favorites are the breakfast croissants and the submarine for lunch. Service: The two ladies that are usually working are super sweet and the service is fast. Even with a line it never takes more than 10 minutes to get out the door.
