I've got to go with the fivers! Stopped in late on a Sunday, right on NW corner 19th Ave & P.Peak, to see if it was a good place to bring the gang, and it certainly is! Will be back for sure. I tried a couple veggie dishes and they were top quality. White rice is included, fried rice +$2, so I got that. They brought a whole plate of it! Presentation excellent so don't forget to snap a pic or two. Service attentive, tables only, no booths. read more

Went to lunch with ladies from work at their suggestion. . First timer at this cute diner. We chose to go at 11:00 to avoid the 12:00 rush we were warned about. Glad we chose an early time because people were starting to come in and filling up fast. Its at the corner of 19th and Pinnacle Peak. This area tends to be busy at lunch due to the numerous businesses in the area. If you know, you know. We were greeted immediately and allowed to sit anywhere we chose. We opted for a 4 top table by the window. Nothing fancy. Exactly how I expected a local Chinese restaurant. Drinks were ordered immediately and we were given lunch menus by our friendly and knowledgeable server. There are several choices under $10.00. In this economy, that's a plus. I had the General Tso's chicken. It comes with rice, but I like lo-mein better and paid for the upgrade ($1.00). Lunch also comes with a spring roll and Rangoon with whatever dipping sauce you like. The portions were large, plenty of Tso sauce and it was amazing. For me, it was enough for 2 meals. Another plus. I have dinner tonight or lunch tomorrow. Most people will have a very hearty lunch. I happen to get 2. I have been stalking this restaurant for a year. The only reason that I didn't visit prior is no online ordering for pick up. I'm one of those people that prefer to order direct for pick up. Now I will face my phone phobia and call in my order. I could eat here once per week. See you again soon! read more

The chow fun, chow mein, teriyaki chicken, and edamame we ordered for our party of 6 was great, the chow fun especially. The sushi on the other hand was okay, too much focus on heavy sauces particularly for the kiss on the fire roll, and the mango roll. The service was excellent! Our servers were on top of it all and kept checking on us! Service was definitely the highlight. read more

I was getting my windshield replaced. took a walk and found this asian fusion restaurant basically in a strip mall. they are ubiquitous And usually have generic food. so my bar was low as I am often disappointed by asian restaurants in the valley. I went in and realized the asian restaurant was filled with asian folks. pretty good sign, Lychee is competing with their customers grandmas Second, it seemed most people were regulars. Another clue. The food here was so mediocre. Maybe I'm biased because I'm used to my mom's Chinese cooking at home but the food here was like any other Chinese restaurant. The sweet and sour fish was good though! The rolls were yummy but the quality of the fish just wasn't there, especially the salmon, it was on par with Fry's salmon from the sushi station. However, our waiter was incredibly nice and accommodating for our party size. A lot of people ordered takeout but there's plenty of tables inside to seat everyone. read more

First time here. They do have a lunch special. Soup doesn't come with it. I got the egg drop soup which was good. Also I got Mongolian beef with lo mein. It's a dollar upgrade for lo mein. It was okay. My brother got orange chicken and it's crunchy and deep fried. It was okay. He got fried rice as well. The lunch portions come with crab rangoon and vegetable egg roll. read more

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the region. The duck is great even though not as good as you'd get from Los Angeles BBQ restaurants but it's the best locally. The duck at Great Wall is just a joke. Duck at lychee is served with crispy skin and that's exactly how it should be. We went to Great Wall for dinner once and ordered the duck and it came out a cold duck?!? We told the server and he just took it back to microwave it!? The duck later and put dried and stiff like someone else's left over dish! Lychee also has the best "water cooked beef." It's spicy beef but very authentic. I like so many dishes here sometimes I go a few times in a week. Price is also very reasonable. Parking is so easy and the plaza is easily accessible. This is a winner. read more

Sushi was average to what you expect anywhere But Do Not come in for happy hour. They will Not put your full order in. They will just give you some of it. This past week, I had the pleasure (3 times) to enjoy a new dish called Braised Beef Noodle Soup. I noticed a lot of fellow Asians (TSMC workers) eating it during lunch and had to try it. I actually ordered the last bowl. Well, it didn't disappoint. The broth was hearty with rich Beef flavors, Ginger, Onion and Star Anise. It came with lots of vegetables, including Carrots, Baby Bok Choy and White Raddish. Besides lots of chewy wheat noodles, it had lots of Braised Beef and Tendon. If you have the chance to try this soup, I'd love to hear about your experience. We always love Lychee Kitchen. The food is consistent and tasty--they have some nice happy hour specials and HUGE portions. They have a large restaurant space with plenty of tables, always kept clean and tidy. The service is attentive and friendly enough. This is always my favorite Chinese food on this side of the Valley, my only wish was that it was closer to my home. I recommend the lo mein, egg drop soup, rangoons, sesame chicken, and much more. read more

Popped into Lychee for lunch on a work trip recently and I must say I was impressed. They offer very good and reasonable lunch specials, whether you are looking for sushi combos or Chinese plates. I got the spicy tuna and tuna nigiri combo. This was eight rolls and two nigiri for around $10. You can add miso soup for $1. Was it the best sushi I've ever had? No but it was what I expect for spicy tuna and the price was super cheap. Our server was also very attentive and sweet. read more

Uber/Lyft would be my recommendation, but there is a paid parking garage down a couple of streets. We didn't need a reservation since we had a small party, but I would recommend if if you're coming with a party of four or more. We sat at the bar and ordered four dishes from different categories, which was a great way to sample the menu; though honestly I think we probably could have gotten away with just 3 dishes for a party of 2. We tried Yam Mamuang Boran (old-style green mango salad), Boo Pad Pong Garee (crab curry with ginger), Tom Yum Haeng Sen Yai (dry tom yum with wide noodles), and Naem Khao Tot (crispy rice salad with fermented pork sausage).
